China Glaze Flying Dragon

I still don't know how I feel about this...

China Glaze Flying Dragon
This is a lot "Grapier"
This color was a biatch to photograph.
Sun + Flash

Sequins and I do not agree!
"Flying Dragon" is a neon Purple base with matching Purple glitter and some random Blue glitter. I must say the glitter is so unnecessary, it doesn't even sparkle in Sunlight and the effect is so muddied. The base color itself is not awful, it's just a standard bright Purple. The formula was your standard neon formula, thin and uneven. For this mani I used Three coats of color. This color dries hideous, VERY gritty! I needed two coats of INM Out the Door to smooth it out and give it shine and the Third coat I added after the stamping didn't hurt it... So yeah... I'm on the fence about this color; I don't love it and I don't hate it...

What do you guys think of "Flying Dragon"?

  2. I really like this color...i think i'm in a purple nail lacquer phase lately. I like the combo of the shiny purple with the blue glitter. But you've made me hesitant to purchse for the gritty drying. I think it's going on "to check out and maybe purchase list".

  3. Such a pretty color :) But for some reason, even though I love purple, I never wear it, I see all these great purples, then I remember that I have purples at home that I never use... This one has blue in it though... I might just have to get it anyways :P (When I go back to the mainland though lol)
Also, how did you get the Konad Silver SP to get to opaque?? I tried it out at the konad kiosk and it was SUPERRR sheer :/

  6. This polish was, a few months back, a must have! I was in love with it, that shade of purple looks so great!
The one thing I didnt know is that it dries matte..
And lately, there has been some complaints about that..
Well, I never saw this one matte, but nothing that a top coat wont fix!

  8. Kelly- I didn't do anything differently than what I would normally do to stamp with any other polish. Maybe that was a bad batch or something?
