New Year's Eve Mani!

Are you all ready for the New Year?

  I wanted BLING!
When I think of New Years I always think of Silver and Blue for some reason. I'll have all the polishes I used listed by finger at the bottom of the post. I really like playing with different colors on my nails lately. It allows me to use more of my new colors all at once, plus it's so much fun having all different nails!

Have a safe and fun New Years Eve everyone!!

Borghese Stellare Note

Speechless...
Teal Flashes
Teal Flashes
Purple Flashes
This one shows both Teal and Purple flashing.
Stellare Note is a blackened Teal/ Purple duochrome. The duochrome effect is very subtle but very beautiful. I am absolutely in love with this polish. In the bottle it kinda looks like an oil slick maybe? In dim lighting it looks like a pearly Black. It's dark, sexy and unique. My camera had a hard time capturing the different color changes in this polish but it is absolutely amazing. The formula is excellent and so is the brush. This polish glides on buttery smooth and has great pigmentation. For this mani Two coats of Stellare Note were used. This is a great take on a "Black" polish for those of you who like dark nails but refuse to wear Black polish :)

Thanks for Stopping by :)

Days like Today

 Are GREAT days!!

Along with some other goodies, my Mom-in-law got me a gift card to Sally's!! I was going to wait for the Tronica Collection to come out to use it but I just couldn't wait that long! I believe the Tronica collection won't be relesed until March/ April 2011 at Sally's stores... So anywho, I went to Sally's today and China Glaze polishes are Buy Two get One FREE!! And I had one of my monthly 15% discounts on top!!! Needless to say... I had a good time!

Here is what I got:
Red Pearl- Awakening- Dorothy Who?- Turned up Turquiose- Avalanche- Lubu Heels
Orly Razzle- Seche Vite
Then this was in the mail when I got home!!! I picked up the Six Essense polishes from a blog sale on Laquer Ware for Tips and Toes. She threw in the prettiest Blue foil franken that I cannot wait to try!

Muffin Mondays!! Hard Candy Sky

Secretly...

I wanted her to chose this one!! My kitteh knows me haha! I have Two different looks featuring this lovely shade for you darlings today!

Hard Candy Sky
Just Nails

I decided I wanted to play with the stripers my lovely Mom- in- law got me and this is what I came up with. She got me a Pink and a White striper along with other goodies :)
Sky is an amazing light pastel Blue creme with an icy Blue flash throughout. This is the closest I'll come to Chanel's Riva and I'm plenty happy with that fact. This is an amazing polish with excellent pigmentation and a creamy smooth formula. I was worried it would go on a little sheer but that was not the case at all, it goes on very opaque. Application was a dream. For this mani I used Two coats of Sky.

Happy Muffin Monday!

Illamasqua Viridian

 Praise the polish gods!!!

...As they have smiled upon me and decided I was worthy of Illamasqua's Viridian from their Art of Darkness collection!! I have been lemming this since the swatches started showing up online and it is finally mine and I shall cherish it for all time haha!
Viridian is a beyond amazing Dark Hunter Green- Teal with a sublime shimmer. To me, Greens don't get any better than this! The formula is absolute perfection, the texture reminds me of the texture of Seche Vite. Viridian could easily be a one coater, for this mani I used Two coats since that is my OCD number. The finish is smooth, shiny and perfect. I couldn't believe the pigmentation on this polish, especially for the color and finish, just excellent. I absolutely love that it remains Green regardless of lighting, we all know how much of a disappointment dark Greens can be in dim light. The price tag is a little steep for me at $14 but I had to have this polish as a part of my collection and I'm so glad that the color lived up to my hype! Mega Epic WIN!

Did all my lovelies have a wonderful Christmas?

Vampy X-mas Eve! Double Feature :)

 Hello!

I was feeling brave and decided to try a very vampy look. For some reason applying Reds and dark vampy colors make me nervous. IDK why, I'm always scared they are gonna end up looking like a hot mess..... But this turned out so pretty.

Mrs. Claus over Naughty and Nice
On my nails today are Naughty and Nice and Mrs. Claus. Naughty and Nice is an amazing dark Maroon jelly-ish- creme. The formula on this is so rich and easy to apply and also had great pigmentation. I used Two coats of Naughty and Nice for this mani. Mrs. Claus is a lovely light Red jelly base, leaning Pink packed with Pink glitter. It's very sparkly and so flattering. On my ring finger I have Three coats of Mrs. Claus. I got these Two as a little gift set (on sale @ Sally's) that included the Peppermint cuticle oil and I absolutely love the stuff!

And here is another vampy Holiday look using China Glaze Evening Seduction and Sephora by O.P.I Only Gold for Me:

Swatch of China Glaze Evening Seduction:
For this Second mani I used Two coats of Evening Seduction as my base. It is a very dark Plum creme with a great formula. If you're thinking that Evening Seduction and Naughty and Nice look similar, they do. Evening Seduction is Plum and Naughty and Nice is Maroon. It really only matter in Sunlight because indoors they both just look Black. Layered on top is Two coats of Only Gold for Me, which is the Gold version of Flurry Up! Loove this! This glitter is enough to kill my Lemming for Milani's Gold FX. I know Gold FX is only hex shaped glitters but I like the dimension the smaller glitter adds to this polish.

Thanks for Stopping by,
<3 Cristina
