China Glaze and O.P.I Comparisons

Hello ladies,

A few days ago I posted about O.P.I's Blue my Mind and many of you commented that it looks quite a bit like China Glaze's Frostbite. One of my lovelies requested a comparison so here it is.
Index and Ring- Blue my Mind
Middle and Pinkie- Frostbite
As you can see the difference is minimal. Frostbite is a bit more vibrant Blue and the formula is more pigmented and opaque. Blue my Mind leans slightly Purple and it has more of a glassy look to it. The shimmer in BMM is a bit softer. I'd say if you own one you don't need the other but they are both amazing colors. I even had to take the picture with flash and natural light to get the difference to come across in the pictures.

Also a whiiile back ago I posted the China Glaze's Long Kiss could be a dupe of O.P.I's Bogota Blackberry and sure enough...
Index and Ring- OPI Bogota Blackberry
Middle and Pinkie- CG Long Kiss
With these Two there is absolutely no difference. They both have excellent formulas and they look exactly the same. Again if you own one of these you do not need the other. BTW this is the only real dupe I have in my collection. I make a really big effort to avoid dupes in my own collection because I want every single color I own to be unique.

Well there you have it darlings :)!

  2. I love the blues! I have Frostbite and it's one of my favorite polishes. I never realized how close Blue My Mind is to it.

P.S. your nails are gorgeous :)

  4. @Jessica- I use Burts bees Lemon Butter cuticle cream (like it's chapstick, for my cuticles). I have posted a review of it you can find it under my Reviews label. It is great stuff. I also push the cuticles back every time I change my polish and keeping them moisturized is key really. Thats the biggest most important part. Also, I know it's pricey but I use Zoya's Remove + which is completely AMAZING! Sally's Pink colored polish remover is good too though. But basically moisture is key. :)
