Hello lovelies,
For some reason I made it my mission to find dupes to Zoya's Summertime Collection because while the colors are all very beautiful I couldn't help but feel that I had seen them before... Well sure enough... Granted I'm comparing to the spoons, but these are very accurate and I could not tell the difference in person as I was comparing. Without further delay here's some dupage!
 |
Mira v. OPI Funky Dunkey |
 |
Kieko v. OPI Pamplona Purple |
 |
Tamsen v. OPI Off with her Red! |
 |
Areej v. Dim Sum Plum |
 |
Breezi v. Suzi says Feng Shui |
The only one I do not have a dupe for is Sooki. That is OK because I'm not a huge Red type of gal anyways.. But there you have it! Oh well lol! Thank goodness for those beautiful shimmers that accompany these during the Summer. No one can do shimmers like Zoya :). That is for sure.
Can you tell the difference? Yeah me neither lol!

I knew there was a reason I didn't order any of these colors! Not that they aren't pretty but I already have almost all of those dupes and make it a priority to try and not accumulate too many dupes since I spend enough on polish already! Thanks for the comparisons!
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty bad. For that many of the collection to have dupes/near dupes...and all from OPI. I'd say "more originality, please," but I think I've already ranted that out. Thanks for the heads up! :) And thanks for taking the time to find their dupes.
ReplyDeleteI didn't order much from this collection since I knew they all probably had easy dupes. Which you proved right! I did order Breezi though. I don't have a dusty color like that so I thought I'd try it. Either way, the collection was not unique at all.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post. I ordered Areej and Breezi but I'm cool with that because I don't own the OPI dupes. Thx :D
ReplyDeleteMan, that's too bad. I just ordered all of these from Zoya with the BOGO (I don't own any Zoya)... but luckily, the only one of the OPIs I own that's matched here is Funky Dunkey. Whew.
ReplyDeleteYou need a "dupes" tag!
ReplyDelete*hangs head* nevermind.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cristina. You did an excellent job.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I didn't order anything from this collection, doesn't look original and unique, I have almost all of the OPI'S.
I'm really glad you posted this! :3
ReplyDeleteThese, with the exception of Off With Her Red!, are all colors that I don't own but have really wanted. I knew some of them seemed really familiar, and am even more glad that I got the entire collection (still hasn't arrived, though! CURSES!).
However, sucks for you to have all the dupeage! :p
Thank you so much for finding these dupes. I thought these were all beautiful colors ,but not unique enough to order.
ReplyDelete@heidi- Thank goodness I only have the OPI set. I didnt get any of the Zoya cremer or shimmers. I only picked up two of the Mattes :)!
ReplyDeletewow! good job Zoya, lol. thanks so much for this informative post!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post. I figured these had dupes. I bought all the cremes, and thankfully I only have two of the OPI dupes. Oh well! Good to know though!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great post! I didn't want that many from this collection anyway, but now I know which ones I absolutely don't need ^^
ReplyDeleteGood thing about being a total nail noob like I am, all the colors are new to me! :) I guess there are only so many shades they can all do.
ReplyDeletegreat post!!! thanks for the info!!! quite shocking that all those dupes come from OPI :O
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer the shimmer finishes from Zoya's summer collection, hoping to pick up a few :D

Thanks for this post! I had the same response when I saw these polishes. Ah well, at least they have no shortage of summer colors to choose from!
ReplyDeleteAt first sight, I wanted the Zoya summer collections also, but after additional study, came to the same conclusion, very dupish of what I already own.
ReplyDeleteI accidentally found a Tanzy dupe last night. I grabbed up the ulta mini 4-pack of their summer glitery polishes (Under the Sea I believe) and the orange one is an exact dupe for Tanzy.
ReplyDeleteI have Suzi Says Feng Shui, and I thought it might be similar to Breezi. I was sad I didn't get breezi when someone posted a pic, but now I know i made the right decision!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually kind of happy that Mira is a dupe to Funky Dunkey, because I have lusted over FD since it was released, but never had the opportunity to buy it. I snagged Mira and Rica (sunshine collection) during their BOGO promo so now I technically have my FD!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME comparison post! Thanks so much! Now I can easily decide which one to order.
ReplyDeleteI can actually say that compaired to the swatches online Reva from the other new Zoya line I SWEAR is a dead ringer for one of OPI's Burlesque colors "the sohw must go on" I have the show must go on and I KNEW Reva looked familiar I would LOVE to see a side by side of that one, there is another in those two lines that looks similar too, take the stage and tanzy BUT tanzy looks a bit lighter.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you so much, that's very helpful! It's a bit sad, I really wanted Mira and Kieko and Breezi, but I already have Funky Dunkey Pamplona Purple, Suzi Says Feng Shui oh well, I love Sooki and the mattes and the Sunshine collection, so there. I'll spend a lot of money anyway :)
ReplyDeleteoh and could you compare Dim Sum Plum and Ate Berries in the Canaries? Are they exactly the same?
ReplyDeleteOPI Comet Loves Cupid is a dupe for Sooki :)
ReplyDeleteI have Suzi Says Feng Shui, and I thought it might be similar to Breezi. I was sad I didn't get breezi when someone posted a pic, but now I know i made the right decision!
