Nicole by O.P.I Fall Target Exclusives

Hi loves and happy Sunday!

Today I have swatches of Nicole by O.P.I's Fall Target exclusives. These four pretties are an extension to their Spring "Something About Color" line and I really love them, a LOT. I like when a small group is made up of really strong colors. I also love that out of Four colors, Three are shimmery or glittery and flashy. There just simply has not been enough glitter and flash this fall.

I Love You Cherry Much.  This is an amazing, saturated Cherry Red jelly base packed full of Red and Pink glassfleck shimmer. The formula on this color is amazing and it is fully opaque and perfectly shimmery at Three coats. There is so much depth and dimmension to this color. For the design I used Konad Plate M9 and Konad White special polish. I just HAD to wear this one.
In the pic above I have three coats of I Love You Cherry Much and no top coat. This will be an amazing Holiday color!

Green Up You Act! Is the most amazing Green creme. I can't even properly describe this color. It's like a smokey Jade Green? It's just beautiful and everyone needs this color. I cant get over the amazingly smooth and perfect formula on this color. I needed Three colors for full opacity and coverage but the formula is so smooth and easy to manipulate. This pic was taken w/o a top coat :). ♥♥♥♥♥♥!

Sounds Grape to Me. Is a pretty, Plummy glassfleck shimmer with a slight Golden duochrome that is totally rocking my world. This is the more "grown up" of the colors and I say it's another must have... Well honestly I think all four of these are... This was Three easy coats of color.

It's not me, It's Blue. This is a super interesting mix of Burple, Silver and Golden glitter suspended in a Blue-ish jelly base. Another unique stunner from this mini group. This is another Three coater but it also has an effortless formula. I love the Nicole by O.P.I brush. It fans out so perfectly for my nails.

I LOVE all of these. Like I said above I love a small, well done group. I'm so happy that they gave us some awesome glitters and shimmers because I've been missing the flash this Fall. SOOO props to NOPI for keeping fresh and flashy! All Four colors are Three coaters but they all have an excellent formula and an amazing brush. As much as I dislike the bottle I can easily get over that if it means stunning colors like these! I can't wait for the Kardashian Kolors collection now. NOPI has really impressed me with these beauties and their great formula.

What do you think about this small group? Will you be checking your Targets?

Barielle Karma Kollection Swatches

Happy Caturday!!!

For today I have some swatches from Barielle's Karma Kollection. From this group I chose to review Do Onto Others, Buddha- Ful and Gotta Have Fate. There are Three more stunning colors that are part of this pretty summer group but these were my picks and I am so beyond happy with them.
Here is Buddha- Ful over Do Onto Others. This combo is stunning! Having Do onto Others as my base really brought out the beautiful flakies in Buddha-Ful. This was my favorite combo. It looks like a mermaid's tail, or the most amazing beach water ever.

And here is a swatch of the lovely Do onto Others. This one is an amazing Turquoise creme with the most amazing formula. I can't get over how effortlessly Barielle cremes apply. This color is like Key West water on your nails. So in other words: Summer Perfection. This is Two coats of color and no top coat.

And once again here is Buddha- Ful layered over  Gotta Have Fate.

And here is Gotta Have Fate one more time.

Now this I couldn't wait to see on the nail. This is the amazing Buddha- Ful  all on it's own. I was worried that this color would never become fully opaque but there was no need to worry as this pretty became opaque at Three thin coats. The formula on this color is amazing and easy to work with. The look it creates is so interesting, almost like fish scales on a naked nail. The Green iridescent flakies really make this super unique.
I have said it a million times before and I will say it again. I need more Barielle!! I can't wait to see what they do for fall and/ or the holidays. I hope whatever they do that it involves more Flakies :)!

Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by,
♥ Cristina

Zoya Mirrors Collection Recap

Happy Friday!

Today I have a full recap of Zoya's Mirrors Collection. This is the "flashy" half of their Fall line up. To see swatches of the Smoke Collection just click [HERE]. This half basically "Mirrors" (get it, get it? ah.... I kill myself... :-\ ) the Smoke Collection with a slightly different, more "lively" version of the cremes. Shall we get started?
Marina. This beauty is a dusty denim Blue shimmer with a bit of frost. Thankfully the formula is magnificent and there is no brushstrokes when on the nail so the finish is very smooth and beautiful.

Tao. There is not a whole lot going on with this color. It is a light Grey with that same bit of frost as Marina and Nimue and I think I see just a hint of Green in Tao. I'm not too in love with this one because the frost effect is just a bit too strong.

Nimue. Now this is more like it. Ive shown this beauty recently. Purple metallic/ frost. Actually very pretty. One of my favorites from this collection.

Yara. This color is stunning! It is an Olive Green creme base with irregular shaped Golden glassfleck shimmers that have a slight shift to Green. If you love Greens, and even if you don't.. You will more than likely fall head over heels for Yara.

Neeka. Another stunner. This is basically Yara's Purple toned sister. They both have that same Golden/ Green irregular glassfleck throughout.

Jem. This pretty is the odd one out. This one is a lovely Burgundy/ Plummy shimmer that is so beyond flattering.

I think Zoya has more than redeemed themselves in my eyes for their little Summertime Collection dupe faux pas. These colors are so unique and just beautiful. I love that Zoya is one of the few companies doing some shimmers and glitters for Fall. Seems like a lot of collections coming out are only basic cremes. Every single color in this collection has an amazing Zoya formula. They are all opaque in two coats. Again I really love how cohesive this collection is. I mean both the Smoke and Mirrors collections compliment each other so well. I say job well done to Zoya for creating lovely "grown up" colors for Fall with a twist.

Which are your top picks? Mine are Yara, Neeka and Nimue.

Barielle Gotta Have Fate + Buddha-Ful

Happy Thursday!

Today I have another simple layering using two of Barielle newest Summer shades from their Karma Kollection. Barielle is one of those brands that I wish I had more of but have very little access to... My Ulta SUCKS in a big way... But basically I've never been let down by my Barielle polishes.. Onto the pretties?
So this is a really interesting look. Here I have layered Buddha- Ful over Gotta have Fate. The look IRL is much MUCH prettier but it did not photograph too well. I also have had no Sun for the past two days :(. Anywho Buddha- Ful is this amazing milky nude base packed full of iridescent Green flakies. It's a very interesting polish. Not necessarily a layering polish but it can pull off the look if layered over the right color. I've never seen anything quite like it and I love that Barielle is making flakies more accessible to the public. MORE Flakies!!!

And here is a swatch of Gotta have Fate. This did not want to photograph well at all either. See, it is not quite this fiery Orange. It's more of like a vibrant orange creamsicle Orange. Sooo amazing! This was my first Barielle creme and I could not be happier with the formula on this sucker. It is pigmented like a creme but glides smooth like a jelly. Just perfection. This was two coats and a coat of SV.

Need more Barielle in my life!!! I have one more color to try from this collection which is a lovely Turquiose creme that is calling my name.... I also want to see Buddha-Ful on it's own. I wonder what kind of effect it creates when it is by itself. Maybe it will be my new "interview polish" with a twist :).

Happy Thursday!

Pink Wednesday!! SpaRitual Clarity + Zoya Anja

Happy Pink Wednesday!

For this Pink Wed I'm doing something a little different. I wanted to see this SpaRitual pretty layered over something contrasting and Zoya's Anja was the perfect choice.
Clarity is one of the Three amazing glitters that SpaRitual released as breast cancer awareness collection. It is a lovely Pink glitter suspended in a clear base. Definitely a layering polish.

Sorry it's short and sweet today. Things will be back to normal soon.

I ♥ you guys!

Zoya Smoke Collection Recap

Hi loves,

Sorry for the late post but yesterday and today have been.... Eventful... And not in a good way. I'm hoping things will settle down soon so I can get back to doing more creative things. Some of you know that in my "real life" I've been having a lot of stress and sickness going on and it's just been really rough...

So for my late post today I have a recap of Zoya's Smoke Collection for fall 2011. This amazing group is made up of Six gorgeous cremes in dark, sexy and unique tones.
Petra. A smokey Grey tone. No, it's not a dupe of Kelly. As if Zoya would be so lame to dupe themselves lol. This has a touch of Purple that makes it super unique and wearable. One of my favorites from this collection.

Anja. I love her name. I also love this deep Plummy, vampy shade. This is the perfect Fall vampy color.

Codie. Deep, deep smokey Brown with some touches of Green. I'm not a huge fan of Brown in general so I'm not too smitten with this one.

Jana. A lovely nude with Mauve and Brown tones. Super wearable and flattering.

Dree. Olive drab perfection. That is all.

Cynthia. Deep peacock navy creme. This is pure sophistication.

All of these colors have an amazing two- coat formula. But I would not expect any less from Zoya. I'm so blown away by the cohesiveness of this collection. All the colors go so well together. I love lining them all up and looking at them. I'd have to say my top picks from this collection are Dree, Jana and Petra. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a Zoya Green or Grey. They really know how to make these shades. I love Cynthia because it is so different from what I'm used to seeing from Zoya. I could not rave enough about this beautiful collection. It is Fall perfection. The swatches of Petra, Anja and Codie were photographed without a top coat.

Which ones are your faves?

Muffin Monday!! Zoya Cynthia

Happy Muffin Monday!!

Today I have once again kept things simple with Muffin's pick. She went back to her roots by picking me a Blue tone. A dark. sexy Blue tone. This beauty comes from Zoya's Smoke collection for fall 2011.

Say hello to Zoya's Cynthia. Who shares her name with my mom- in- law.
Cynthia is a gorgeous blackened Blue creme with some slight Green undertones. It is like a blackened peacock tone. It's so unique and beautiful. I can't think of any other color that is quite like this shade of Blue. It's not just your typical fall Navy. I also want to say that there is a very hidden shimmer in this formula which keeps the color from looking like plain 'ol black on the nail. This remains Blue even in dim lights. The formula is a very easy to work with two coater.

What do you think of Muffins pick?

Zoya Nimue

Happy Sunday!

Today I have a quickie post featuring one of Zoya's newest fall colors coming from the Mirrors collection. I decided that since I have Zoya Jana on my toes that I would do a color that would compliment her and with a touch of shimmer on my tips... Enter Zoya's Nimue.
Nimue is a lovely smokey Purple with some Blue and Mauve-y tones in a somehwat frosty/ metallic finish. I love this color. It is so sophisticated and unique. I love that it is not brushstrokey at all, just a smooth shimmery finish. The formula on this color is amazing, a two coater. I can't wait to try Marina and Tao which have a similar finish but in different tones.

Thanks for stopping by and happy Sunday :),

Random Swatchy Spam Part 4

Happy Caturday!!

Today I have another mini swatch spam post. I'm hoping to have something more exciting tomorrow for you guys. I really hope you don't mind all this swatching I've been showing lately. I swear I will be stamping more often and stuff soon. I just have a lot of nonsense going on in my real life right now (BOOOOO!)... But I don't want to abandon my lovelies...
Rodeo Fanatic is one of my China Glaze favorites. This is a lovely Teal shimmer with a slight duochrome runnign though it. This is Two effortless coats.

Above is Essence Can't Cheat on Me. I picked this cutie up at Ulta not long ago because the second I saw the micro Silver shimmer I knew there was that certain holo something about it. In Sunlight there is a subtle holographic effect to this polish. I can't wait to layer this over darker colors to give them more dimension. This was Three coats and no top coat. Very shiny on it's own.

And last but not least is Bettina's Amethyst. This is a lovely soft metallic Purple with a great formula. IRL this is much more Red toned but the picture is not too far off from what the color actually look like. This was Three coats and no top coat. My momma brought me this pretty from her trip to Puerto Rico. She also brought me two other pretties that, as it turned out, I already had so I will be adding them to my upcoming giveaway.

Happy caturday lovelies!

Zoya Dree and Zoya Jana

Hi loves!! Happy Friday!

Today I have two of the colors from Zoya's newest Fall collections. I decided I love these colors too much too just swatch them and have been working my way slowly through them and actually wearing them *gasp*. So I will be showing you guys the Smoke and Mirrors collections slowly but surely and when I have worn them all I will do collection recap posts for those of you who love seeing them all together.

I got started with Jana. The reason I picked this colors is because it seemed like the "least exciting". I was wrong. While it is a basic fall color it has that certain something that makes it special. This smokey Mauvey/Taupe is just uber flattering. I wore this baby for Two days. I know that doesn't sound like a long time but in Cristina time, that is a long time ;). I had absolutely no desire to take Jana off but another beauty was calling to me. This color has a typical Zoya- greatness formula that covers perfectly in two smooth coats. The color is slightly darker once dry on the nail. I think a pedi in Jana is in order....

And then there was Dree. OMG this color is just !!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!...  It's dirty, it's unique and I freaking love it. It's not just Olive, it's a smokey, dirty Olive with a little bit of Yellow. Last year Zoya gave us Shawn, this year we have Dree. Can we agree that Zoya knows how to make amazing Greens?! Not to mention Yara, who I cannot wait to wear. This one also dries slightly darker on the nail and it also has a great Two -coat formula.
I am very excited to wear the rest of the pretties in this collection. I think next I will be covering some of the Mirrors collection colors. I haven't really had time to think up ideas for nail art and I'm feeling kinda bad because I know a lot of you guys come to LTHP for some funky stuff and lately I've been doing a lot of swatches but I've just been crazy busy and stressed and I don't want to stop blogging completely so I've just been swatching like mad. I'm also still working on planning a giveaway for my Blog-a-versary which is coming up pretty soon.

Happy Friday! ready for the weekend? I sure am...

Ruby Kisses Blue my Mind + O.P.I Silver Shatter

Happy Thursday evening lol!

*EDIT* I accidentally posted this ahead of time and now I feel silly so I'll just go ahead and put it back up now. loool

Today I have a simple shatter combo using O.P.I's Silver Shatter and Ruby Kisses Blue my Mind.
In the pic above I have the whole combo matted down with a coat of Hard Candy's Mattely in Love matte top coat.

Here is what Ruby Kisses Blue my Mind looks like. It is a Royal Blue jelly. Now this was an extremely inexpensive polish. As in I only paid .99 cents for it lol.. So my expectations were not very high. I actually got it to make a franken but I wanted to see it on by itself first. The formula was slightly gluggy and sticky feeling. The brush is nice and flat and full but with this formula, also slightly hard to control. Here I have Two coats and there was some slight VNL but I knew I would be layering. Final Verdict? For .99 cents I'm not complaining too much, but don't have high expectations for it lol.
What are your thoughts on uber inexpensive polishes?

Some China Glaze Metallic Crackle Swatches

Hi loves and happy Thursday!

Sorry for the late post today. Yesterday was "one of those days". But! Here I am with some swatches of the China Glaze Metallic Crackles.
This is Cracked Medallion over CG Rodeo Fanatic. This one is a Coppery metallic crackle. I really love this combo. Cracked Medallion applies easily and cracks nicely. This one is just a few shades darker than Tarnished Gold.

This is Platinum Pieces over Dr.'s Remedy Lovely Lavender. This one is a nice clean Silver Crackle. A little less dense that Color Club's Broken Tokens. IMHO this one crackles a little better than Color Club, similar to O.P.I's Silver Shatter in how it breaks up but totally different in Silver tones.

And just for fun here are my Swatches I had shown you before of Tarnished Gold and Oxidized Aqua.
I love these. Yes, the crackle trend is getting slightly our of hand with everyone and their mothers releasing their own versions but these Metalics are petty cool and unique. I'm only missing Latticed Lilac and Haute Metal but I'm not too bummed because for some reason those weren't speaking to me as much as the Golden tones or the pretty metallic Blue. These are fun and they lend themselves to hundreds of awesome color combos!

Crackle: Love it or leave it?

Pink Wednesday!! SpaRitual In Pink Breast Cancer Awareness 2011 Swatches

Hi loves and happy Pink Wednesday!

Today I have swatches of SpaRitual's Breast Cancer Awareness collection for 2011. This is a small group made up of Three amazing shimmery, glittery lacquers. I'm really loving this BCA collection. Beautiful polish with a cause is always great. Shall we get to the pretties?
Up first is Strength. This one is one of the ever popular Plummy Pink shimmers with a Golden/Green duochrome throughout. Similar in concept to Zoya's Faye but with a Pink-er base instead of Plum. They are not dupes by any means. This color is stunning and it has a great two coat formula.

This one is Clarity. This one is really more of a layering polish but here I have it on it's own because I wanted to see if it could be built up to full coverage on it's own. The answer is yes, kind of. This polish is made up of very small light Pink glitter suspended in a clear base. Here I am wearing Three coats of Clarity. In person this actually looked really cool. Like Pink disco balls on my tips.

And last is what turned out to be my favorite of the Three, Knowledge. This one is a mixture of very light Pink micro sparkle mixed in with some holographic/ iridescent glitter and a slight Golden duocrhome under all that. UH- mazing! It's like pixie dust on my nails because it is such a fine sparkle but it build up to opacity in Three coats. This one is really one to be seen in person.

I'm in love with these! They are sparkly, Pink and for a good cause. What else could you want in a polish?

Dr.'s Remedy Summer 2011 Collection Swatches

Hi loves!!!

Today I have swatches of Dr.'s Remedy Summer collection. This group consists of Three gorgeous metallics and Two classic cremes.
This is the amazing Tranquil Tangerine. Now... there isn't anything tranquil about this color. It's bold and vibrant and amazing! I don't own anything like this. The formula on this baby is amazing! Actually all Three metallics have an excellent Two coat formula. What I love is that it is not streaky. These are true foil metallics.

This is Bold Baby Blue. Now I think that Tranquil Tangerine  and Bold Baby Blue  should exchange names lol. I see this soft metallic Sky Blue as being tranquil and the tangerine as being bold lol.. That's just me though. I really loved this one. It was like robot nails. Once again I love that it is a smooth metallic foil finish and there are no brushstrokes.

Glee oh Glee. I love this one! It is a soft Gold metallic/ foil. This one is one of those colors that will flatter a lot of skin tones but will really shine on darker complexions. There are a few bloggers I can think of that could really bring this color to life.

This one is Lovely Lavender. OMG the formula on this sucker is incredible. I almost left it at one coat. Anywho, Lovely Lavender is  pretty Greyed out Lavender creme. This one is a solid Two coater and has a high shine formula.

Last but not least is Nurture Nude Pink. I wish I could have gotten Sunlight pics of this but the Sun has not been cooperating much. Ok so it is established that this is a pretty standard nude Pink tone. What my picture is not showing very well is the lovely hidden Pink shimmer a la Cult Nails Crusin Nude. This one is a Three coater but the formula flows easily and dries quick as well.

I like that this collection has a little bit of Bold, a little bit of classic and a little bit of standards. My top pick has to be Tranquil Tangerine. The orange lover in me just cannot get enough of how bright and juicy it looks. My second favorite is actually Nurture Nude Pink. Why? I loved the formula and I love me some soft seashell Pinks. They are clean and detoxifying. You can visit the Dr.'r Remedy site by clicking on the link on my right hand side bar Link Love Section. Check out their Facebook Page for more goodies!

What are your thoughts on this collection?
