Today I have once again kept things simple with Muffin's pick. She went back to her roots by picking me a Blue tone. A dark. sexy Blue tone. This beauty comes from Zoya's Smoke collection for fall 2011.
Cynthia is a gorgeous blackened Blue creme with some slight Green undertones. It is like a blackened peacock tone. It's so unique and beautiful. I can't think of any other color that is quite like this shade of Blue. It's not just your typical fall Navy. I also want to say that there is a very hidden shimmer in this formula which keeps the color from looking like plain 'ol black on the nail. This remains Blue even in dim lights. The formula is a very easy to work with two coater.
What do you think of Muffins pick?

Muffin is wise - beautiful choice :D
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! It's looking more dark green on my phone.
ReplyDeleteI like how interesting this color is. At first it looks black, but then it's like "wait, there's something going on here!".
ReplyDeleteThe crazy thing is that I posted about this color today as well! Check it out! I sent you an email as well! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteThis black polish looks really pigmented and it shines very well! Love it!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous color! I'll have to add it to my wishlist.
ReplyDeletegorgeous! totally thought it was completely black until you mentioned the "blackened blue".. love it!
ReplyDeleteOoooh! And I just thought I MIGHT get away with buying the full Mirrors collection and just 3 out of the Smoke Zoya fall set. Now I have to add Cynthia to my list after your description of what colors are in it. Peacock sold me.
ReplyDeleteSo glad for your description by the way...I had looked at Cynthia in swatches before as just one more blue/black cream. But with your description and now looking back at the photos...I DO see that peacock color coming through. GREAT to know the blue still shows blue even in dim light - that's a real trick Zoya accomplished. Most turn black even in decent at home light.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I'm trying to decide what polish to wear next, I always say to myself... WWMP or What Would Muffin Pick? She gets it right every Monday. So jealous of your poised, polish-picker! Cynthia is another Zoya winner!
ReplyDeleteMuffin is a genius! I love this color! I'm hoping to add it to my collection soon!
ReplyDeleteReally rich looking polish! Nice...Muffin did a good job!
