Today I have another design idea to add to my [series] of manis dedicated to my best friends wedding. For this look I tried something I had never tried before. A half moon mani. I like how this turned out but it is definetely a look I would have to practice several times in order to get it to look as crisp as I would like.
For the half moon mani I followed [THIS] tutorial by PlasmaSpeedo. It made the process very simple and I really like the end result. I had a mishap with the bow stamp because I was using the Silver chrome pen by Sally Hansen. Those dry insanely fast and the design didn't transfer properly. The polka dot stamp is from plate BM19 and I used Konad Black special polish. The White is Zoya's Purity and the color I'm holding and on my tips is Essie's Jam 'n' Jelly, which I recently featured. I also think in the future if I retry this design I may do a different configuration of the colors or do a Black glitter stripe instead of Silver. This is not as crisp as I would like it to be but with practice I think this look could be a real winner. From a distance it looks amazing!
Happy Sunday!

ReplyDeleteAmber- Thats a good question. I'm not sure lol. I wont make her pick yet haha. This one is a modified version of the first look. I think so far this is my fave.

ReplyDeleteI am loving both this one and the 1st one with polka dots. I think between the 2 I like this one best--there's something about the black with pink and the white half moon I really love. Oh and the fact there is glitter! Every wedding should have some glitter!!!!

Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Your friend is a lucky lady to have you design so many fun manicures (make sure the photographer captures the winning manis on the special day ;) )
ReplyDeleteYour creativity is limitless (but I've been convinced of that for a while now)
