My Very First Franken Baby!! Birthday Suit Blues

Good Afternoon Loves!!

I could not wait to share my first Franken creation with you guys!!! For those of you who are not sure what a "Franken" is, it just means when we polish heads mix up polishes to make our own creations. I may have gotten hooked on frankening after making this baby... I can see how girls could do this all the time. It's like a little surprise every time you add a little bit of this or a little bit of that... Everyone should try to Franken at least once. it makes you feel so creative. Naming them is just as fun. This baby was named by the awesome Mr. LTHP, who without missing a beat, named this pretty Birthday Suit Blues.
So I decided to make a "birthday glitter" franken. I've been seeing a lot of these types of franken popping up all over the bloggersphere and could not wait to create my own version. For this I mixed a little bit of Essie Clear with Zoya Yummy and a few drops of Zoya Phoebe to give my base a subtle, translucent shimmery Blue tone. I then added enough NYX Carnival to fill up the rest of the bottle which was a decent amount. With these you can't really have "too much" glitter, the more the better! I LOVE this. It's ethereal and pretty and it actually became opaque enough at Three coats. There is minor VNL but that doesn't bother me because I don't mind my nail line...

So what do you guys think of my first Franken-baby?

  20. This is fabulous! not kidding - you could market this to others it's so great! At first I thought you had tossed in some Deb Lippmann Up In the Air and thought you were nuts using that expensive of polish in a test Franken! Zoya Yummy, Zoya Phoebe - both are favs of mine! Together with some Essie clear - just blowing me away! I need some empty bottles to do some Frankens myself - but where to get some little bee-bees to put inside to help keep them mixed?
