China Glaze Urban Night

Hi loves!!

Today I have a simple mani. I went back to one of my favorite combinations. Purple and Graphite. Since I am rocking the shorties this colo really was singing to me. You guys know how much I love vampy or darker shades when my nails are short. IDK why that is but I just love the look of short, dark nails.
So I kept it super simple and just went with one of my all time favorite stamps from the old Bundle Monster set, plate BM20. For the stamping I used CG Avalanche. I kept that color with the purpose of stamping only becuse I hate how frosty it is.. BUT it works, and looks amazing when used for stamping.

And this is Urban Night all on it's own. It's a pretty, Plummy Purple creme. Nothing terribly unique. Well, it is actually unique in my collection. But you guys know what I mean right.. Anywho, I like it and it is a great Fall color. It is flattering and Purple so a lot of people will be able to pull this pretty off. It's a great classic, core color to have. I don't know how it compares to any of the other Purple cremes released this Fall.
What are your thoughts on Urban Night?

  2. You're going to make me go buy Urban Night with this swatch alone. And I skipped it! This is beautiful.

  4. Lovely really. The purple and graphite are rock star awesome. I bought myself a ton of stamper plates and can't for the life of me figure out how to use it. I even bought stamping polish but no luck when I swipe it either removes all the polish from the stamp or smears it.
    Any suggestions?

  12. @Nicole Ditto for me too...and I had seen swatches of this shade before. I think when they came out on other blogs, my mind was just a jumble of fall colors and this one seemed like Christine said, not unique. But come to think of it, I really don't have this shade of a deep purple that is not shimmer in my stash. Ummmm...ca-ching!

  15. I have this color but haven't used it yet. I've been saving it for Fall, maybe late September or so. Funny thing is, unlike you, I actually avoid dark nail polishes when my nails are really short. I recently had to cut them all and I hate my nubbins :(

But for some reason, I just feel like dark polish makes my fingers look even stubbier than usual (I have really small hands). But you rock the look, no matter what! :)

  17. Beautiful color! I think short, dark nails look so much better than long, dark nails. It's a look I prefer myself.
