My Best Friend's Wedding Series: Part 5

Hi loves!

It's been a while since I've done one of these! I have a few ideas in mind I've just honestly been lazy and down lately... I hate to come off like I'm making excuses but the truth is I'm feeling just a litle burnt out lately.... So anywho I got this idea and I honestly think this will be a lot easier to do on someone else. I think I would definitely alter the moon base color to something a little more dense.
So for this look I started with a base of Three coats of China Glaze White Cap. I then sponged with O.P.I Pink Flamenco and Zoya Raven. I debated adding a stamp but I thought with the rhinestones and the sponging there was already enough going on. I think it's a pretty look but I don't think it's bride worthy :(. I think my next idea will be better....

Here is a swatch of White Cap. This color is just so lovely and it photographs amazingly well. Just agelic! Three coats.

And it's lovely in the Sun!

Bettina #9

Hello lovelies!

Today's post is yet another one of my new Bettina's. This one also comes from their core collection. It is a rather safe color but very pretty and wearable.
So #9 is a muted Berry tone with some slight Pink undertones. This is a really pretty color. Nothing super special but it has an amazing formula and great pigmentation. It dried to a super shiny finish and wore really well.

And Just a reminder for Bettina purchases!!! Lovelies wanting information on pricing, shipping and purchasing Bettina polishes please shoot an email to janetmrosado@gmail.com (Rosama Distributors-authorized distributors Bettina cosmetics)

Not so Pink Wednesday- Bettina #19

Soooo...

I wasn't feeling very Pink today. Instead I went with one of my new Bettina babies. This is such a different color for me. I LOOVE it. It reminds me of Fall and it makes me wish I lived somewhere with actual Season changes lool!
So this lovely shade comes from their core collection. #19 is the most amazing shade of Terracota Orange. It's like Fall in a bottle.  This color has the most amazing formula as well. This is one of the most wearable Oranges in my collection and it is so very flattering.

I'm really loving this shade quite a bit. It will probably make a few appearances this Fall.

I love this color and it's wonderful formula!

Julep Christina

Stupid "H"...

Anyways, some of you guys may have seen on Facebook and/or Twitter that I'm feeling a bit down. I didn't have time to do a proper Muffin Monday because I haven't really seen much of Miss Muffin today. I think she can tell I'm grumpy so she's avoiding me :(... So, anywho.. I decided to dip into my stashy stash of Julep swatches and decided to show my namesake...Kind of... Stupid "H"...
So Julep's Christina is a lovely Orangey Red with a subtle Golden shimmer throughout. This is really a lovely color and I love the Golden sparkle soo much. The formula is a dream to work with and is fully opaque at Two coats. This dries very shiny and smooth. I'm a happy camper.

I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend!

Color Club Blue-Topia and Lumin-icecent

Happy Friday!!

Today I have some more Color Club awesomesauce. In yesterdays post I mentioned that I had a feeling the new Color Club Foiled Collection polishes would be outstanding for stamping. Well I just had to try it out and I could not be happier with how the stamping turned out.
So, these are the bomb for stamping!! As my base I started with Two coats of Blue- Topia and using Bundle Monster plate 205 I added a simple design using Lumin-icecent as my accent color. The clean up was a little hard because the micro shimmer in the foil finish wanted to get everywhere and you can kinda see some of the shimmer still stuck to my cuticles lol but other than that I highly reccomend the Color Club Foiled Collection for stamping.

Andd here is a swatch of Blue-topia. This one is an amazing Inky Blue jelly. The application on this color is excellent and this is easily one of my Fall 2011 favorites!
I can't wait to stamp some more with my new Foil babies!!

Thoughts? Requests?

Color Club Foiled Collection Swatches and Review

Hiiiiii!!

OMG OMG OMG I am so excited about today's post. I had been looking forward to this collection ever since I started seeing pics from Cosmo Prof. I had been dying for some good foils and Color Club has definitelly delivered with this stunning and edgy collection. Onto the awesomesauce?

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I have not loved a collection this much since Zoya's Intimate or O.P.I's Pirates of the Caribbean Collections. I'm just lalalaloving these!!
Hot Like Lava is HAWT like lava!! OMG Do I freaking love this stunner. It's a bright Magenta foil. So vibrant and so perfectly smooth. Very "in your face" and totally amazing!!

Perfectly Molten is the perfect Green foil. This is probably my very top pick from this whole collection. This one is a stunning shade of Jade Green foil. I can't wait to play around some more with this color.

Lumin-icecent. Epic light Blue foil. This one is very Silvery and robotic- like.

Cold Metal is an amazing True Blue foil. This one was the least Silvery of the tones and very vibrant and saturated.

Foil me Once. Ahhhhh!!! Soft Pink foil. EPIC!! Just EPIC. This is the one that I ended up wearing. I feel like a girly robot haha!

Antiquated is a soft Gold foil that is so wearable. Very bright and Champagne-y colored.

So let me tell you guys about how much I love this collection. I love it THIIIIIIIIIISSSS much lol! It is seriously amazing. I can't rave enough about the formula on every single color. They are all solid Two coaters, some can do with one if you have a really steady hand. The brush on Color Club polishes is so easy to work with and it fans out perfectly for my nails. I'm glad to have these because I don't have many foil- finish polishes and I really enjoy them when they are done the right way. Like these, basically a smooth metallic finish, no brushstrokes upon application. These are the perfect consistency and the perfect application. I'm in love! My top three have to be Hot Like Lava, Perfect Molten and Foil me Once. I cannot wait to stamp with these babies! This whole collection is an Epic WIN for me.

The Foiled Collection is available on www.transdesign.com

Which will you be jumping on?

Pink Wednesday!! O.P.I Pink Flamenco

Hello hello and happy Pink Wednesday!

Man Oh man have I been out of it lately... I just really have not been in an artsy mood... I find that I am really just wanting to wear my colors and just leave them plain :(. I'm really hoping to get out of this funk soon and start showing you guys some more exciting stuff. I also was not happy with my new camera I had gotten for tutorials so I returned it and now I'm waiting for my new one to come to see how it works out... For now please enjoy this swatch of one of my favorite O.P.I Pinks. This pretty was a gift from my pops :).
I freaking LOVE this color so much. It's a bright Magenta Pink creme. This color has one of the most perfect fomulas ever. It just applies so smoothly and effortlessly. For this mani I did two coats of color. I think this is a shade of Pink that would look good on any skin tone. This is a serious "Look at me color" and even though it came out for Fall ('09?), I think it works perfect for any season.

My nails are getting long but I'm kinda liking them... Hmmmm....
Have a lovely Wednesday!!

Julep Anne

Hello!

Today I have a swatch of an awesome Purple creme. BUT OMG these pics are kinda far off from what the color actually looks like. Purples are soo hard to photograph.
So, Anne is an awesome Blue toned Purple creme. It is actually closer to what it looks like in the bottle. The formula for this color is amazing. It is so smooth and pigmented. This color also dried to a slight matte finish, which I like. This is two coats and no top coat.

This is a really cool and unique color. I love Purples and this one really made my day!

Thoughts on Anne?

Muffin Monday!! Bettina #138

Hello!!

Happy late Muffin Monday!! For today I just have a simple swatch of Muffin's pick. I've been really down and struggling with some new meds that knock me out most of the day. I hope to get used to them soon so I can get back in the swing of things.
#138 is a pretty Salmon Pink creme with a subtle hidden Silver shimmer. This color has the most amazing buttery smooth formula and is so flattering. For this mani I did Two coats of color.

And here is Miss Muffin making her very quick pick lol!
Sorry for the very late and plain post :(. Stupid pills ...

Bettina Goes to Work- Nudie Spam

Hello!!

Today I have some lovely Bettina neutral tones. We can't always rock the crazy shades and for those days I know we all have our little nudie stash.. Well here are some of my new Nudie babies :)
#195. A rich Chocolaty creme with an amazing hidden light Green shimmer shimmer. Great formula, two coats.

#196 A light Camel creme with a Golden hidden shimmer. This reminds me of a less severe China Glaze Classic Camel. Two coats, great formula.

#134 Warm Caramel toned creme. Effortless formula, two coats.

#136 A soft Rosey toned Nude. Again, great formula and a two coater.

#12 A soft Beige creme with a slight Silvery shimmer that only comes out in the sun. Great formula, two coats.

I love my Bettina neutrals. These are my go to pedi colors. I love a nice clean look every once in a while and I find these detoxifying and fresh. These are great core colors and they all applied like a dream. I love Bettina's Brush. It fans out perfectly for my nails.

Date Nite Nails with Bettina #47

Happy Caturday!

So these I wore last nite. I was feeling supa sassy with my pin up cherry Red nails hahaha. I don't know what came over me but I actually wanted to wear Red. For this look I went with one of my new Bettina babies.
For this look I went with Two coats of #47 and with some input from Mr. LTHP I stamped the tips with this lacey design from Konad plate M57 and some White Special polish. Simple, but so pretty :)

Here is a swatch of #47. This is the most awesomest Cherry Red with THE MOST AMAZING FORMULA EVER. It is that amazing. It requires all caps... AND THEEN there is the most subtle hint of Silver sparkles hiding in the jelly like formula that give the surface a glassy, uber shiny look. This is easily one of my top Red's ever. Brava Bettina!

Maybelline Colorama Cocoa Motion

Hi loves!!

Today I have an oldie! Like so many of us I was addicted to Coloramas. I remember buying them up like they were little candies haha. I loved/ love the little bottle and the little gnome hat caps :). They had the cutest color range and great formulas. Well, I was visiting with my mama the other day and we were going through some of my stuff that was still at my parents house and we found this little gem hiding and in perfect condition so I had to show you guys!
Cocoa Motion is a deep Maroon shimmer with rich Chocolaty undertones. It's a very pretty, classic color. Not something I would normally go for so I was surprised to find it in a hidden stash lol. Apparently at some point in my life I was actually attracted to Brown tones. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the color, it's just not something I would go for currently. The formula on this was still spot on even though it had been stashed probably since like 2006. Two effortless coats :).

Don't you guys just love finding hidden treasure?
