  2. Im pretty sure you know about another issue about seche vite that if you read the back label it says
"WARNING! This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm."

any opinions about it? I kinda stopped using seche vite because of that warning label.. but I still wanna use seche vite because as you said its so good. lol.

  3. Thank you for the video! I read that putting a layer of non-quick dry top coat solves the shrinkage problem and helps Seche play nice with most brands. I started doing this almost a year ago and it really works! I've even gotten Seche to play nice with Zoya. I've been meaning to try Out the Door because I like that it is Big3Free but I hear that it can be very temperamental. Have you had any problems with OTD and bubbling?

  4. @ABBY- Chemicals are not really a concern to me for many reasons. I change my nails waaaaaaaaay to often to worry about chemicals. I will never have a kid so that's taken care of and there are other (preggo safe, I'm sure) options out there. Seche Vite is just the one I like best.

  5. Thanks! Really good infos!
I have a question, did you try : start to finish (3 in 1= base coat, nail straightener, top coat) by O.P.I ???
I just bought a bottle and i'm not too sure about it
    (sorry bad english...i'm french)
p.s: love the way you say Seche Vite , so cute your accent

  6. @ptitemeve That was actually the first OPI al in one I used and I was happy with it but I preffer it as a base coat more so than a top coat.

  7. i love seche vite but i agree with the shrinking. i've noticed it happening with opi's darker colors. sometimes i use cnd super shiney, but it tends to pick up the darker, more pigmented colors on the brush, so i only use it with lighter colors. anyway, i want to try out inm northern lights, i'm looking for where to buy right now!

  8. Essie Good to Go - is just about as good as seche vite. But again still has the nasty chemicals.

  9. hey cris, awesome video. seche is my absolute favorite as well, and i have a huge "bulb" bottle of out the door as a backup! i do have a question though... do you know how northern lights compares to china glaze fairy dust? i know that fairy dust isn't really a topcoat, but i often apply it over my polish and follow with a coat of seche or otd... and i was wondering if the holo shimmer effect is basically the same as northern lights or if there's a significant enough difference for me to get both.

  10. @ABBY I've used OTD in the past, but I found that I was going through it really fast. I tried Beauty Secrets top coat (big blue globe bottle at Sally), and I've been really happy. It's formaldehyde and toluene free, and I really haven't had any issues with shrinkage or thickening. It's a little thinner than OTD, but gives a great glossy finish and dries a little quicker, too.
