Zoya Pippa + Zoya Yummy to Celebrate LTHP's 1,500 Followers!

Circus nails!!

These are so cheerful I can't even me mad at the slight wrinkling on the surface :(. I really like this look, even though they look like something a 12 year old should be wearing lol. But, who cares!!? I'm celebrating my 1,500 Followers! Welcome to LTHP to all of my new readers!! I hope everyone sticks around for a while because things are just getting good around here! A lot of exciting things are happening and a giveaway will be coming soon!! Onto what you are here for! Some nails!!
So I decided to funky french these two babies because I was really going for something playful. The dots were done in Areej.

Here are Pippa and Yummy. Pippa is the Yellow creme. This one has a slightly thick formula. BUT! For a Yellow polish this is not too bad. It only needed Two coats and I really love the color. It's so bright and happy. Yummy is the pretty Sky Blue creme. This one has a slight dustiness to it. The formula for this one is a dream.  It is also a Two- coater.
Happy Thursday and thank you to everyone who has found their way here and to everyone that takes their time everyday to stop by and say hi! You guys make my day, everyday!

Pink Wednesday!! Bettina Topaz

Happy Pink Wednesday!!

Today I have one of the pretties that my momma brought me back from her trip to Puerto Rico. This one is uber pretty and girly. So, it's absolutely perfect for Pink Wednesday!
So for this one I used plate BM221 and Bettina #187 for the stamping. I had a few mishaps when I was working on this one. You know how some days things all line up just right so as to mess up your mani?... No matter how careful you are? Yeah... This was one of those days.

I really should have just left this alone because Topaz by itself is just so dreamy. It is a soft Carnation Pink shimmer. The formula is somewhat sheer but is fully opaque at Two coats and very easy to work with. I love how it dries to a glass-like finish.
I really like this color It's soft and easy to wear. I think of it as blush for my nails. It's soft, it's Pink and it's shimmery, therefore I like it lol!

What is on your tips today?

SpaRitual Twisted Vine + Golden Rule

Hai!

Today I have some more colors from my recent Apothica haul. This is a brand that I was never really curious about because I've read that it's basically Orly in a different bottle... But moving on... I did manage to find two mini pretties that I figured would be a good introduction to the brand and I'm very curious now....

This is Golden Rule. A pretty Gold glitter suspended in a clear base. I love the glitters in this. It is a mix if small and even smaller Gold glitters. For this I only did one coat of Golden Rule over Twisted Vine.

And this is the lovely Twisted Vine. An amazing Hunter Green creme. This is such an awesome Fall color IMO. However this does look very familiar to Orly's Enchanted Forest.  The formula was good and easy to work with. For this I did Two coats of Twisted Vine.
I really love this combo and I'm thinking waaaay ahead here... Wouldn't this be an awesome holiday mani?

Muffin Monday!! Bettina Bonfire Splatter Mani

Happy Muffin Monday!!

Today Muffin is back with an unsual color choice. She normally seems to pic cooler tones and today she went for this awesome, bright Coral shade from Bettina. This is another one of my Miami Beauty Show finds.

This was so much fun to work on. I will have a tutorial linked at the bottom of the post. Also, I need your feedback peoples!! Do you guys like these x-tra large pictures or are they too much? Personally I like them but they might be too much for some people. Anyways I really need/appreaciate your feedback guys. Biiig pics: Yay or Nay?
So True Blood started yesterday and here is my splatter mani in honor of... a day late lol. Anywho as my base I used two coats of Bettina's Marshmallow and for the splatter I used Bonfire from their newest collection. I freaking love this color. As Red as it looks, it is actually a bright, rich Coral. For a tutorial on how to do the splatter visit Jen the Polishaholic

Happy Muffin Monday!

Color Club Age of Aquarius

Let me throw some more BRIGHT nails your way...

Apparently I am in a bold mood lately. This one came from the Miami Beauty Show. It just so happened that the Two Color Clubs I picked up were neons, which is unsual because I don't normally gravitate to neons. Well I was really drawn to this amazing shade of Turquoise. My pictures are not very accurate for this one, I'm sorry.
Age of Aquarius is an amazing neon Turquoise creme. I cannot rave enough about the formulas on these Color Club polishes... Just amazing. This was soo buttery smooth and easy to work with. Because it is neon t dries to a satin finish so it does need a top coat to bring out the shine. This color is far Greener than my pictures show. However (making excuses for my camera lol) my camera just does not like neons, let alone a Turquoise one lol. You guys get the idea right? This is so beautiful and just fun. This was Three coats.

Do you have any neon Color Clubs? Which are your faves?

Essie Geranium

Holy bright nails!

If this isn't Summer perfection, I don't know what is.... Here is another Essie pretty from my recent Apothica haul.

**Edit**: I have been informed by my lovelies that a "Geranium" is indeed a flower lol. See this whole time I though it was just another made up name. To me "Geranium" sounds like something that should be on the periodic table of elements lol.
Geranium is an Orange toned Red. IRL this is far more Orange that this picture lets on. My camera never does colors this bright any justice. I am loooving this. The formula is somewhere between a jelly and a creme. I needed Three coats to get rid of the VNL. I can't wait to do my next pedi in this color! Also, see how shiny this is? That's is with no top coat. This is fierce and for some reason I also love the name. If Geranium was a real thing (which as I know now it is lol) it would probably is be this color, bright and bordering on obnoxious... Just Perfect!!

Thoughts on Geranium?

Essie Tart Deco + Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow

Hi loves!!

Today I have a super pretty combo. I know I just recently did a Peachy- Gold- Red mani but this one has a little something special going on... Deborah Lippmann's Boom Boom Pow. This had been a long time lemming of mine that I never thought would actually make it to my collection. I got these two pretties in my recent Apothica haul.
So for this I sponged Boom Boom Pow over Essie's Tart Deco. Then I stamped using this pretty flower design from Konad Plated M9 in Konad Red special polish. Just for fun after it was all said and done I decided it needed a rhinestone and that pulled the whole look together for me.
Now I know Boom Boom Pow is steep at $20 a pop but I have the kind people of Apothica to thank for a sponsorship that allowed me to get a lot of Essie pretties along with this Golden stunner. BBP is full of WIN. I love all the different sized glitters in it and I love the super micro fine glitter that floats in the clear base. I also love that it is a true, bright Gold. According to the Deborah Lippmann website there is 24k Gold powder in this. I assume they mean the micro fine particles that float in the clear base giving it a Golden- cloudy look. This is just amazing and I can't wait to layer it over everything.

Essie's Tart Deco is a beautiful bright Peachy creme. The formula for this was slightly annoying. It was just a tad streaky but not too terrible. For this I used Three coats of color.
And there you have one of my favorite manis to date! I am so in love with Boom Boom Pow and Tart Deco as well. Tart deco is Summer perfection and so flattering. I am so happy to finally have some Essie's I can get excited about in my collection. I could not be more pleased with Boom Boom Pow. I mean just look at it!! It's amazing.

Some Micro Swap Spam

Hi loves!

Today I have the remaining colors I had yet to try from my swap with Carina from Gilded Nails. Let's just get straight to it shall we?

This is Down the Rabbit Hole. I really wish I had Sunlight pics of this but I realized after I put it on that there was no Sun :(. This one is a Black jelly- like base full of micro Silver and holographics sparkle. For this I layered Two coats of Down the Rabbit Hole over one coat of O.P.I Black Onyx .

This one is Mint Condition. I love this one! It's an awesome Minty Green creme but it is not pastel at all. It is actually bordering on neon but not quite all the way there. It's super playful and unique. The only thing I cannot stand with BYS polishes is the horrendous smell. But the colors I have are so pretty! This was Two coats, no top coat.

And last but absolutely not least is China Glaze's Wagon Trail. This one is a blackened Golden- Olive shimmer. So stunning and classy. This is from one of my favorite China Glaze Collections, Rodeo Diva. I have been lemming every single color from this collection ever since I saw Scrangie's swatches. Carina made my day by sending me this beauty because now I am Two colors into this collection... Just a few more to go lol. This was two effortless coats.
I am so grateful to Carina for sending me all the lovely polishes. I am so glad I was able to do this swap with her.

Pink Wednesday!! Essie Knockout Pout

Happy Pink Wednesday!!

For today I decided to go with one of my new Essie polishes I picked up in a recent www.apothica.com haul. For some reason I've never been very curious about Essie but lately I've been looking more and more at their colors and finding myself attracted like a moth to a flame. So in this haul I picked up a lot of older Essie colors that I am strangely excited about.

For this Pink Wed I decided to go with the awesome Knockout Pout. This one is an awesome BRIGHT bubble gum Pink. This borders on neon and actually dries to a slight satin finish so a good top coat is a must have to bring out the creamy shine in this pretty. The formula for this is incredible! So smooth and creamy. This color comes from their Summer 2010 collection. This is Three coats of Knockout Pout.

IRL this is a lot brighter and a lot Pinkier. However, because it has that slight neon-ness my camera freaked a bit and made it look a bit more muted than it really is. If you love bright Pinks you absolutely need this Essie pretty in your Collection. For the stamp I used plate BM16.
What's on your nails today?

Some Requested Comparisons

Hii!

This is just a quick post of some requests I've had to compare some colors in my collection.

Up first is Zoya's Ibiza and China Glaze's Little Drummer Boy. The difference is quite noticeable here. They are really different. I don't even need to get into detail do I? Happy to report that these are not dupes.
Top: Zoya Ibiza
Bottom: CG Little Drummer Boy
And here is O.P.I's Sparrow me the Drama and Jordana's Pink Bunny. These are also not dupes. SMTD and Pink Bunny could be fraternal twins though. The difference is the SMTD has that drop of Grey that makes it a dirty Pink. Pink Bunny has a drop os lavender in it which makes it a very bright, clean Pink.
Top: OPI Sparrow me the Drama
Bottom: Jordana Pink Bunny
I hope this helps those of you wondering about these colors.

Thanks for stopping by,

O.P.I Yodel me on my Cell + White Shatter

Hi darlings!!

Today I am revisiting one of my favorite colors from last Fall. This pretty came from O.P.I's Swiss Collection and I have worn it Once before. Well, recently I was having issues picking what colors I wanted to wear. So, I went to a FB group I belong to and asked the gals to pick a number between 1 and 395 and what ever color the first number posted corresponded to I would wear.

This is what I decided to do with Yodel me on my Cell. I applied White Shatter in a zig-zag motion and Silver Shatter in a regular motion to my Ring finger and Thumbs.

Here is Yodel me on my Cell. A lovely Blue-ish Teal shimmer. This one has a sheer formula and has full coverage at Three coats.
That's it! Simple and pretty.

My Epic LGBT Pride Rainbow Mani

Hi my loves!

It was a busy weekend and I didn't have time to do Muffin Monday because Mr. LTHP is traveling this week. Muffin will be back next week and hopefully Truffle won't butt in haha. Maybe I'll have Truffle do a guest appearance this week to make up for the lack Muffin today.

So instead since I've been seeing some lovely gals do some LGBT Pride nails I decided to do some as well. What better way to show my support for my friends in the community than with some awesome, kick-ass nails!? This is probably the most fun I've had working on a mani in a while. I used a total of 15 colors and that is a record for me. For this mani I stuck to an all Bettina Rainbow because their cremes and colors are just perfect! So without further delay here are my LGBT Pride Nails!
And what is a Gay Pride mani without some Glitter? Instead of listing what I used I posted a picture of all the colors in order. I think if I try to list all the colors here I will start confusing myself lol. I think the planning for this mani took longer than the actual doing of the mani. This was seriously a lot of fun and I hope I did my friends proud!

So here is all the colors I used. The one with the black cap is #28. The brush was wonky so I had to replace it with an empty bottle brush lol. But anywho, here are all the colors I used, in order.

**EDIT** Bettina purchases!!! Lovelies wanting information of pricing, shipping and purchasing Bettina polishes please shoot an email to janetmrosado@gmail.com (Rosama Distributors-authorized distributors Bettina cosmetics)

Will you be sporting Rainbow Nails this month?

Mark. Ibiza Sol Polishes Mojito + Tango

Hii!

Today I have two mini pretties from Mark. which I also got from my mom-in-law. These are the two polishes Mark. released with their latest cosmetics collection, Ibiza Sol. They are sooo tiny and soo cute. I have to apologize for the swatches here. I wasn't feeling 100% well when I was working on them and they turned out kinda icky :(.

This is Mojito. A beautiful minty Green creme. This is pretty close to Orly's Ancient Jade. This one is slightly more vibrant. The formula on this was great! Very smooth and well pigmented. I only needed Two easy coats for my mani. Look ma!! No (lobster) Hands!!

And this is Tango. A pretty standard Red creme with slight orange undertones to it. This is close to Zoya's Tamsen. This one also has a creamy smooth formula and is opauque at Two coats. This is two coats. No top coat.
I really like these two pretties. I love the cute, tiny little bottles. The brush on these was really good for being a small bottle. The formula is great as well and it surprised me because for some reason I'm always expecting polish in little bottles to suck. Is that weird lol? Anywho, I got these mainly because I'm a sucker for cute, tiny bottles and ended up loving what is inside lol!

Thoughts on little polishes?

Avon Blue Shock, Gunmetal and Vivid Violet

Hello hello hello!

Today I have some swatches of some pretty Avon colors I got from my mom-on-law. It had been sooo long since I last tried an avon polish. As a matter of fact I remmber the last Avon polish i had was a Golden one and it came in a round bottle. It had a terrible sticky formula that took forever to dry and I always managed to smudge it. Well, this was YEAARS ago and I'm happy to see they have made some changes to the bottles and the formula as well.  On to some colors!

First is Vivid Violet. This one reminds me of my one my favorite O.P.I's (that I don't own ATM) Plugged in Plum. Vivid Violet is a pretty Purple shimmer with some slight Pink undertones. In Sunlight it has these pretty Blue flashes that you can't see in any other light. The formula on this is slightly sheer but flows nicely. I only did Two coats for these pictures but I'm thinking now a Third one would have looked even better.

This one is called Gunmetal. It could not have a more perfect name. This one is a true Gunmetal shimmer. I love this because every time I have picked up a polish tha looked like this it ends up going on the nail like a frosty, brushstrokey mess (I'm lookin at you China Glaze Avalanche). Not this baby! This goes on smooth, shimmery and even. This is Two coats, no top coat.

And finally we have Blue Shock. A pretty, icy shade of Electric Blue shimmer. This one has an extremely sheer formula and what you see here is Three coats (probably could have gotten away with a Fourth). I actually really like this color. It's refreshing and it almost looks like the polish is floating on my nails.
Overall, I am really happy with these. I really, really LOVE Vivid Violet. I also really love the brush on these Avon polishes. It was soft, just the right lenght and slightly flattened so it made the application super easy and quick. These Three color have good formulas and I'm happy to have them in my collection.

Do you own any Avon polishes?

Nfu.Oh 52 & Zoya Ibiza

*droooool*

So, this is pretty amazing... This is another one of my Miami Beauty Show pretties. I'm pretty speechless about it so I'll just show you pics.
This is the amazing #52. A beautiful Royal Blue jelly base packed full of flakies that shift from Blue to Green. This has such depth to it, it's incredible, like looking at layers and layers of polish. For this I did Two coats of #52 over Two coats of Zoya's Ibiza.

Here is a swatch of Ibiza. This is two coats of beautiful Inky Blue shimmer. I'm sorry this is a little sloppy but my brush on my Ibiza is a bit wonky :(.
And there you have the awesome awesomeness that is these two polishes together. I cannot wait to wear #52 again. I wan't to layer it over everything haha. I have to say that was probably the best use of $10... Ever! Hahaha. I'm very happy to have this beauty and flakie lovers everywhere need at least one Nfu. Oh flakie in their collections! Epic WIN!

Do you have any Nfu. Oh pretties?

Jordana Tangy & Sephora by O.P.I Only Gold for Me

Hi lovelies!!

Today I have a combo that could brighten any one's day! This is one of my newer additions to my collection. I wish I had not avoided Orange for so long because lately that is all I seem to want to wear and I don't have many Oranges. Well for today I did a super pretty and tropical inspired mani with one of my new faves!
Isn't this so cute and Summery?! For the flower accents I used plate C02 and Konad Red special polish. The Gold glitter really brings this whole look to life. I really love Only Gold for Me. The tone of Gold is very soft. Unlike Milani's bright, almost Yellow, Gold FX. I also really love that it consists of different sized glitters because it gives the look more dimension. I did my thumb with the same design as my ring finger.

Here is a swatch of Tangy. A Salmony- Orange creme with very slight muted qualities. The formula on this is very good. It flows nicely and has great pigmentation. This is Two coats of Tangy.
I need more Oranges in my life. It's only a matter of finding the right Oranges for my skin tone and I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to trying colors so this should be fun. So with that in mind I ask you lovelies...

Do you like Orange on your nails?

Pink Wednesday!! Jordana Pink Bunny & Bon Bons Sparkle

Yay Cupcake nails!

This is my very first Jordana polish. I remember this brand back from when I was a little girl and my grandma would use their makeup. Good memories. I also used a Bon Bons polish! Remember those? Anyways I picked up Two Jordana polishes recently and this one I just could not wait to try. Behold!!! My cupcake nails!!
Yeah! Bon Bons! hahaha I don't know why but for some reason i found myself going through the Bon Bons bins at Hell*Mart and found this unnamed pretty along with a Blue version of this. I didn't realize that the base in my Pink Confetti was also Pink, I thought it was a clear base. This is not an issue because I really love the layered look. The cupcake stamp came from Bundle Monster plate BM14 and I used Zoya's Dana and Breezi for the cupcake colors.

Here is a swatch of Jordana Pink Bunny. I flippin love this. Doesn't it look like cake icing? This is a cool toned Pink with slight Lavender undertones. The formula is decent, slightly thick. For this I did Three coats but had I realized the Pink Confetti base was pigmented I would have stopped at Two coats.
I really love this sweet and girly mani. It makes me happy when I look at my hands and I love how the little cupcake turned out! Shout out to my cupcake loving friends!!

What are you wearing today?
