O.P.I and Zoya Spring Comparison Shots

Hi loves!!

This will be a super quick post. I wanted to get the comps out of the way before I showed you guys O.P.I's Spring collection. I figured it would make it easier for those of you wondering if there is any dupage between O.P.I Spring and Zoya Spring.
To see close ups of these just keep reading.

Zoya Tru/ OPI Dutch'ya just love OPI

Zoya Skylar/ OPI I Have a Herring Problem

Zoya Farrah/ OPI Did you 'ear about Van Gogh

Zoya Bevin/ OPI Thanks a Windmillion!
I wont go into detail about the differences because they are just so subtle. Basically if you already own one you don't need the other even though they are not exact dupes of each other. I am happy to have all these pretties in my collection because I love me some awesome Spring shades!!

Thoughts?

  2. So glad you did this. I found myself thinking each new collection post for Zoya and OPI looked so alike, this settles that for sure!

  3. Woah those are STRAIGHT UP copies! Crazy. Makes you wonder who copied who! If I decide to get any of these, I'll probably go with Zoya because I have crazy OCD and the square bottles are so much easier to store! And I can wait for them to do a promo in the future.
Wondering if there are any dupes for Vampsterdam out there? I think that's the only one I want out of this collection, mostly because of the name, haha!

  7. Thanks for the comparison! I was wondering how the Zoya and OPI spring colors compared. Especially the blue, but I didn't know there were this many dupes!

  11. WOW! Didn't realize there was so many similarities between the two collections. I'll stick with Zoya though. Their nail polish last longer on my nails. But, there are others in the Holland collection that I liked as well. I'll pick those up of course.

  14. I saw these on Manicured Monkey about 1.5 months ago - know it was before Zoya release was. So I have proceeded carefully in what I have bought. I did not yet buy any of the Zoya Truth collection yet as read out of the close almost dupes, the formula was better on the OPI in a couple of them.

OPI Rotterdam has hardly seen but are there little black pepper dots that I like a lot in a dusty formula - fell hard for these blk micro shimmers when OPI gave us Sparke de Triumph topper. So I am going Rotterdam over Skylar. I would not buy Van Gogh or Farrah so that's a moot point. They do look fresh but I know I won't wear either of them but for once unless I really got to putting the Zoya flakies over this shade. But of the 2 in the Zoya collection because I have warm skin tones, I would go with Cho over Farrah anyway if I do end up finding one for a deal but not $8. Bevin and Windmillion are pretty but I knew they were going to be close as I said - and seems they belong more to last year's Pirates than Holland this year.

Thanks for helping to spread the word that there are a lot of close calls in the 2 collections. I wonder who at which company let the cat out of the bag - this just does not happen without that occurring when there are soooo many colors to pick from.

  16. I don't have any of the Zoya's, but I have already got a ton of questions about these dupes! I hope its OK that I am going to reference this post tomorrow when I do my Holland Collection post =)

  17. Thank You for this, it makes it so much easier than hunting them down and trying to tell the differences from the bottle!

  18. Thanks for these comparisons! I think the only spring Zoya I'll be picking up will be Bevin now. :)

  19. Ahhhw man I bought Rotterdam AND Skylar. Never mind, one is SLIGHTLY darker right? ^_^

I can't believe how similar the purples are!

  20. Thank you for this! I'm not an OPI fan so I'll happily pick up the Zoyas knowing I'm not missing out.

  23. Wow!!!!Why should I see this beauties???Now I want all of them no matter Zoya or O.P.I. or both ...These guys are just amazing!!!!

  24. Thanks so much for this. I'm so not into either collection. Bevin was the only one that tweaked interest. But my yen for dusky neutrals was quenched by the OPI pirates collection, which I got late this fall and I am waiting to wear that this Spring. The only thing I've felt inclined to leap at was the Dior LE Waterlily-- for a litte more than the price of two of these, I got that one, and I love it. Some of my Color Club purples don't get enough love and I will wear those this Spring as well.

  25. I have 2 of those Zoya and just ordered the whole Holland collection. Oh well. Not a big deal considering they are gorgeous colors (and also coming from the person who owns more than a handful of DLHB polishes and dupes lol)

    GREAT comparisons!

  26. Thanks for this wonderful comparison. I wasn't sure if I should buy Skylar from ZOYA..because ZOYA isn't available where I live and I would have to order it from an other country.. Now I can wait for the OPI polish which will work fine for me :)

Love your blog. Don't know what I would do without your great swatches. They help me a lot!
    Best wishes from Germany ;)

  27. WHOA! Holy dupage Batman! I can't believe there are THAT many dupes!

  28. I've heard that Zoya takes forever to dry, is it true? And what about the consistency? Is it thin and easy to smear? thanks :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. I've never had that issue with Zoya. I guess it can also depend on body chemistry. But, I've never had the issue of a slow drying Zoya. In terms of formulation, Zoya's are some of the best for me. They always apply even and with ease.
