Hello Darlings!!
Today's post is a classic beauty. This color has quite a bit of age on it and it is a part of O.P.I's core collection. I don't remember exactly what drew me to buy this color because in "normal" light it really doesn't look like anything special. This is one of those colors that really comes to life in the Sun and like I said before it is just classic... I just recently wore this under O.P.I I Lilly Love You and the combination was just stunning. The funny thing is as I was applying this color I kept thinking to myself..." Why haven't I worn this more often?".
O.P.I Russian Navy
Russian Navy is a beautiful shade of deep Navy Blue shimmer. What really sets this shade of Navy apart is the beautiful Magenta shimmer that peaks through the deep Navy base. The magenta shimmer is more evident in the bottle than it is on the nail but it gives this color the extra bit of depth that makes me love it so much. Like just about every other O.P.I this color has a great Two coat formula. Beauties like this one deserve more love!
Thoughts on this shade?

You seriously just made me jump for joy by posting this shade. I thought it was a nice color in the regular lighting so I bought it last week. Now I am EXTREMELY happy to see this swatch lol
ReplyDeletedeep color, really deep.. I like it! :)
ReplyDeleteI always grab this and then put this down every time I see it...I really need to stop being so indecisive and commit to this one, it really is so pretty with the hidden magenta shimmer
ReplyDeleteWow, this color is absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteMaravilhoso!
ReplyDeleteUm luxo nas unhas!

I love it when you find a color and wonder why you haven't used it more.
ReplyDeleteI can see the little pink shimmer on the nail too. Looks pretty!
This is one of my favorites and actually my first OPI!!
ReplyDeleteFYI, you have a typo under the pic. It says Royal Navy instead of Russian Navy.
ReplyDeleteCan China Glaze "Blue Year's Eve" be considered a dup of this? I know its more of a shimmer, but they look pretty similar. I rec'd "Blue Year's Eve" for Christmas and I love it! I painted my whole nail in it and dragged silver glitter down from the cuticle with clear top coat. It looked so sparkly and pretty!! This is pretty too! : )
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! It almost looks purple because of the pink glitter in it. Love this!
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree... a classic gorgeous OPI.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous!! The added magenta sparkle just adds that special element to this already stunning polish.
ReplyDeletePerfectly gorgeous color!
ReplyDeleteI just used this as my base for denim, it is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeletePerfect pictures of a stunning polish!
ReplyDeleteI love this color, but every time I see it on the shelf I pass for something else. Next time I don't think so, I can't put it off any longer, going to pick up a bottle!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite nail polish in my collection!
ReplyDeleteI love purple and this colour is just amazing! I guess I will have to go back and look at the colour much more closer than just scanning the shelves again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the swatch!
Oh wow! I have this on my wish list but I had no idea it was so awesome!!! It is moving straight to the top of the list!
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite. If i had to pick a polish to wear everyday it would be this one! It's gorgeous <3
ReplyDeleteI love this colour. Why haven't I worn mine more often? I'll have to fix that soon.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!! Love it :)
ReplyDeleteI have a ? for you. I'm looking for a winter white or off white polish, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks!
I have seen this colour posted a lot and never thought it looked anything special but the closeup, wow! The magenta sparkle is beautiful!! What camera do you use??
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely blue!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I have the suede version of this but not this one, I need it!
