Sooo!! Today I will be starting a little series that will go on pretty much indefinitely. Thanks to the amazing Steph from Imperfectly Painted I have become completely obsessed with Design Seeds. I have literally spent hours just going through all the amazing color palettes and getting so many ideas and so much inspiration. I could not help but want to make a series out of all the manicures I want to do based on these color boards.
For this first manicure I was inspired by the awesome contrast in the Hummingbird Hues palette. I love the unexpected mix of colors but how perfectly they all go with each other.
Just for fun here is the palette that inspired this color combination.

ReplyDelete#1 I totally added design seeds to my favs folder. what an awesome way to discover new color combos and thnx for sharing. #2 amaziiiiing water marble! #3. I never would have thought to put a layer of glitter over a water marble - but that gives it a lil extra "wow!" factor!

Kuler.com is great too, they have a ton of color-palettes like Design Seeds but more basic and without lovely pictures paired with the palettes Colourlovers.com is also very cool, color palettes but also shapes, patterns, etc. :D

I see many bloggers who water-marble with Bettinas, I watermarble frequently and I'm a bit envious :P I have wanted many Bettina cremes for quite some time *just* for water-marbling ;) but unfortunately they aren't available in the US. One day!!! :)
