So today's post is some epic epicness. The second I saw a swatch of this beauty I knew I just had to have it. The only issue? It is only availbale in the UK. Enter the lovely Joanne from Northern Nails. We did a swapity swap and my polish life was completed. I know I'll never shell out the money for Clarins 230, but now that I have Fantasy Fire I don't feel like I am missing out on something really special.
So for this layering I started with Two coats of Revlon Royal. I could not bring myself to do Two coats of Fantasy Fire because it is a very small bottle and I don't want to run out of this pretty! So I ended up doing only one coat of FF over Royal but the effect was really strong and noticeable so I was happy with it. I think this is one of the most amazing polishes I've ever seen. The combination of Royal anf FF is just perfection.

WOAH. That polish looks amazing. I wonder why people are touting this as a Clarins 230 dupe though. Must depend on the base.

ReplyDeleteAnother amazing swatch, the combination of colors is pretty effing amazing. Leticia, you can image search and see that while Fantasy Fire is not quite a Clarins 230 dupe on its own, the effect they have when layered over the same color is super similar.

I bought my MF tiny bottle here on the secondary market - as tiny as the bottle is, I could have spent the same $ as it would take to buy enough to be the size of #230! But this was a good way to start to see if I even WANT to still get the all talked about #230. I have bought into hype before on older polishes only to find out that it's not that amazing and I could have lived without it. Odd that no one until MF-UK came out with this one. You would think as hot at #230 was and is - someone by now would have duped it long ago.
