China Glaze Drawn to You- Magnetic Polish

Happy Caturday!!

Today I will be showing you last Saturday's mani :D. I really like the magnetic polish trend but I really want to see different colors being done. It seems everyone is released the same shades.... But this particular color from China Glaze's Magnetix Collection caught my eye because it is just a little different from the other magnetic shades I've seen out there.
Drawn To You is a dusty Purple magnetic polish. The formula on this color is very dense and if you're in a rush you could very easily get away with one coat. I did Two coats. First I did my "base" color coat and did the magnet part on the Second coat to make sure it was all even and covered. I used the diagonal stripe design magnet from the China Glaze 3/magnet- magnet lol. I was kinda let down with the CG magnet. It seems a little weak, no?
Regardless of the weak magnet I still really like this polish and the effect it creates.

Happy St. Paddy's!!

  1. I found the magnet to be weak too, I got better results when I used one coat. It looked a little sheer but the magnetic design covered it up. :)

  2. Other bloggers has been disapointed with the magnet, but I think the effect looks good.

  4. Very pretty!

We have been seeing the same sort of shades from all the magnetic releases but this is one of the most unique ones.

  5. I rather like the star magnet on CG's horseshoe, but the chevron didn't turn out evenly spaced at all. It was that one I used on the swatchsicle of this polish, and I really think that even after making the pattern show up, it got fuzzy after I left it to sit for awhile. The star on I used on Pull Me Close didn't do that.

  7. I bought some Nabi brand magnetic polish @ my Walgreen's. I love their colors and formula, the price was great too at $3.99, but I their magnet wasn't very good either. I was able to get the CG magnet to work, but it seemed to take a lot of effort. Do you recommend a GOOD magnet? Would love to find ONE that actually works with ALL my magnetic polishes! :) I got this CG color too. It is really pretty!

  8. I'm digging these polishes, but the magnet *is* a bit of a let down. Not only do I need to hold it over the nail longer than my Layla and Icing magnetics, but my nails have fairly deep C Curves and the magnet just doesnt pull the polish on the sides. My designs end up looking like I just centered them and didn't bother with the rest of the nail! I've been able to tilt the magnet to the sides a few times and make the design come up a bit on the sides, but that's a real PITA and doesn't always work. I do like that the CG magnets have the cuticle rests though. That's my biggest complaint about the Layla magnetics - no cuticle rest so it's so easy to accidentally touch the nail.

I love this color! I was only able to find the blue and green Magnetix out here so far. Huge bummer since (like you said) those colors have been done in every magnetic line so far. Icing's blue/purple is a pretty awesome take on blue magnetic though!

And now that I've written a damned novel....I'll shut my yap! ;)

  9. This color is awesome! I bought the purple magnetic version from Nails Inc ($16 yikes). The magnet worked well and the color was nice...but I found that it chipped off very quickly...even with a top coat! How does this one hold up?
