Today I have a random Wal- Mart find. This pretty jumped out at me from a pile of NOPI's that were just sitting there waiting to be re-arranged. This is an older color and I believe it was a Wal- Mart exclusive originally. So, basically the hubs and I were walking past the nail polishes and this pretty was sticking out like a sore-thumb... But in a good way... Wait.... What?
Count on Me was just begging to be layered. I knew from the second I saw this color that it would really come to life over an opaque shade. For this mani I used Milani Hipster Plum as my base color. The deep Plum brought out more of the Purple tones in Count on Me. There is just so much multichrome action going on in Count on Me, it shifts from Purple to Blue and at extremes it flashes Magenta. All I used was one coat of Count on Me over Hipster Plum to get this awesome look.
LOOOVE! I think this will look awesome over so many different colors or even splattered! I love a nice surprise!
Here is a crap pic that shows the awesome multichrome even better!
Pretty awesome right!?
Oh my goodness! That is one stunner of a polish!

ReplyDeletedam I am no good at seeing a polish and thinking "hey that'd be great on top of another colour" I haven't developed that talent yet
ReplyDeleteHuh, I have this one but haven't used it yet.. this looks amazing! It's definitely on my to do list :D
ReplyDeletei love it!
ReplyDeleteI picked this up a few weeks back right as I started the month of blue. I've played around with layering with it a ton, and it really creates some awesome effects. I've been dying to actually wear it, but there's so much multichrome in her that I can't bring myself to just layer her over a blue and call it a day! Saving this one for after the month of blue and am thinking of doing something beetle-like, since it's like this polish was made to create that shimmery, beetle-wing look!
ReplyDeleteDear heavens I need this NOW!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow that is gorgeous! I love polishes like these-- those sheer ones that just freaking POP over black!
ReplyDeleteYES, this is awesome!

ReplyDeleteThis looks a little similar to NOPI Canadian Star. Especially when layered over black. Really pretty color!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found this in a clearance bin with no label. Had no idea what the name was. I'm happy to find out that its a polish I saw here and hoped to run across, yet never did. Until 2 weeks ago...=)
