Some Butter London Swatches

Friday, fryday...

Today I have Three Butter London picks to show you guys. I've seriously become a huge fan of this brand very quickly. ANNNNND I finally got to kill a leming of mine. That doesn't happen very often. Mainly because I don't often catch "the lemmings", but for All Hail the Queen I made an exception.
To see these swatches continue reading.

butter LONDON All Hail the Queen

This is a very well known and popular color. All Hail the Queen is a nude with an edge. This sandy tone is packed full of sublte scattered holographic sparkle and indoors it flashes with hints of Pink shimmer. This color has a stunning formula and it does best at Two coats. I can't wait to wear this again!
Isn't that shimmer stunning?!

butter LONDON Knees Up
Ok... So I kinda picked this shade because sometimes I'm 13 and I giggle at silly things... Like the name of this polish. Knees Up is a super rich jewel toned Red shimmer. This is one of those "glowy" colors. The formula on this color is perfect and does great in Two coats.

butter LONDON The Black Knight
The Black Knight is a Black jelly base packed, very densely, with Blue, Purple and Silver micro glitter. This polish has a bit of a tricky formula because it is slightly thick and so very packed with glitter. It is best to keep a light hand and wait between layers with this polish. The effect it creates is beautiful, like cosmic nails. I did Two and a half coats.
Butter LONDON has really grown on me over the past few months. I love their edgy colors and their naming skills. I'm a sucker for a polish with a good name and BL absolutely delivers in that area. I've also become quite enamored with the formula on these polishes since they are always so consistently great! I can say I am a fan...

Thoughts?

  7. Very pretty swatches! I have Black Knight, but I couldn't get it to look as smooth as you. I'll have to try the thin coats/let dry in between thing next time I wear it. Just wondering though, how do you do HALF a coat?? Haha! :)

Also loving All Hail the Queen. I'm not normally a fan of nudes, but that is gorgeous with the holo!

  12. Love your nails! And I JUST wore All Hail the Queen this past weekend, with LA Splash Golden Seahorse as accent nails. I looked at my nails constantly, especially when the sun came out (which wasn't much, thank you Trop Storm Debby :( )

  20. I am a huge BL fan...ironically it started out with a bottle of their matte topcoat! But yes, I love the colors you swatched (great names too lol). I also love the new "primer basecoat" (slight tint to help w/ VNL), the PDQuick dry topcoat, and the "Horse Power" Nail "fertilizer". Always happy with them!

  21. Gah! I know lol.. I think this particular day I was on full on swatching machine mode and this was about 10 polishes in so I didn't want to stop there since I was still up to the task of swatching.

  23. Butter London continually puts a large dent in my wallet. I love absolutely everything about them. The colours are great, the formula is wonderful, they wear well on me, and the bottles look adorable on my dresser when I forget to put them away. No, actually I lie. I don't forget- I leave them out on purpose. :D

  24. OMG, The Black Knight is freakin' fantastic!!!! If only I had the money to spend on Butter London. Le Sigh. Perhaps I can save up for it, lol. I just have such a hard time paying so much for nail polish when there are other things that I actually need.

  25. I don't have many BL polishes but the ones I own are all hits with me. I just recently acquired BL All Hail McQueen/The Queen and it's a stunner! And The Dark Knight is fabulous too. ^_^

  30. I bought "Knees Up" because I am always a sucker for glowy red polishes (they always look perfect on toes).

When I cataloged the polish (yep, I have a collection large enough that it needs to be cataloged lol) a very close dupe for it.
