31 Day Challenge 2012! Day Two: Orange Nails

Happy Caturday!!

I'm keeping in really short and sweet cuz it's late Friday nite and I wanna go chill with the hubster lolol! The prompt for today is Orange Nails. I kept it simple by doing a "BWitches Brew" jelly sammich.
For this challenge look I started with a base of Zoya's Ziv(swatches soon). I followed my base with Three thin coats of Twee & Honey's Viscera(swatches soon). To create the sandwiched look I topped Viscera off with O.P.I Barre my Soul followed by O.P.I Ya'll Come Back Ya' Hear? The layering of different toned jellies gave the glitter and metallic base underneath a smoldering, yet murky look. Hence why I dubbed these my "Bitches Witches Brew" nails.

Thanks for stopping by! Sam, Rie and I will be back tomorrow with our next prompt, which is Yellow nails.  Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Orange looks for day Two!

  10. Interesting that you added Barre my Soul into all of this sandwich.I guess maybe to tame the curing of the glitter below it and just tone it's bling down a little. I like the end effect. I am thinking I have the Zoya you started with - have to look it up and for it in my stash - I think it might be an orange sheer jelly that was a super limited release for a designer. I picked one up like that description that does nothing on it's own but for a clean look with a tish of color - but I can see now adding it with some of my go to sandwich jelly shades it would work..on it's own (if it's the one I am thinking of, it's too sheer to end up using it on it's own. Like the idea of comboing it with the Ya All Come Back Ya Hear...I like to use that latter one with the red//pink/coral jelly out of the TX collection - together those 2 warm jellies work really well together I found by just fooling 'roung.

    1. There was no curling glitter. I just wanted to do a murky sanmmich so I added barre my soul to "dirty" it up. Zoyas Ziv is a gold foil that was just released for these holidays as part of the ornate collection. its so beautiful.
