Nicole by O.P.I Kardashian Kolors Spring 2012

Happy Friday, Fryday!!!!

Today I will be showing you yet another set of Kardashian Kolors by Nicole by O.P.I. This particular set is the most "conceited" of the Three they have released, all centering around Kim Kardashian. I feel like I have to disclose the fact that I cannot stand the Kardashians every time  I post one of their collections lol... Yes, I cannot stand them but I'll set that aside if if means pretty polishes like the ones they have released. It kills me to admit that I have pretty much LOVED every Kardashian Kolor. These Six are no exception.
To see these swatches just keep on readin' :D.

LadyBug Nail Polish Holder- SO COOL!

Hi loves!!

This post will be a quickie review of a neat little tool that was sent to me some weeks ago by the lovely people at LadyBug Nail Polish Holder.
This neat little holder is shaped like a little bowl with a rounded rubberized bottom plate. This sucker is spill proof. The foam opening easily and safely holds just about any shape and size bottle. I love using this baby when I do my pedicures. I love that I can just sit this on my carpet and it will wobble but not fall at all. Basically.. Weebles Wobble... But they don't fall down :D. This is a clever little creation.
Here you can see the three spots at the bottom. The middle one is rounded and the other Two are flat to make the little bowl sit an an angle so the bottle is slightly tilted. The little bottom plates are rubberized so they do not slide around. I don't really use this when I am polishing on my table but it is definitely my BFF when I am doing pedis.

Thank you to the people at LadyBug NP Holder for this clever little tool!

Etsy Mania! Enchanted Polish- Jinx

Good morning peeps!

Today I will be showing you a polish from the Etsy brand Enchanted Polish. These polishes are created by the lovely Chelsea. She just opened shop again recently... Anywho, some days ago Chelsea reached out to me to see if I would feature one of her amazing creations on the blog and I happily accepted. How could I not? I love the indie polish brands popping up on Etsy. I don't love the stress they bring on, but I love seeing all the amazing things these talented ladies (and guys maybe?) are coming up with. These polishes are creative and like nothing you will see in the mainstream collections. Today I will be showing you one of Chelsea's Holographic creations.
Say hello to Jinx. This baby is a beautiful linear Navy Blue holographic polish. The sparkle in this baby is blinding and just amazing. I don't have any other holos in this shade which makes me love it even more. The formula on this color is really good and it is opaque and perfect in Two coats.
Isn't this amazing? The holo is a million times better in person as is the case with holos usually....
I love this shade of Blue. I think I wanna do something cool with my Blue holos soon.... Hhhmmm. Time to brainstorm! Chelsea I hope you are reading!! I love this polish and I cannot wait to see what else you come up with. This is an amazing holographic creation.

Check out Enchanted Polish on Etsy and sign up for email notifications for when she opens up again!

Four New Texture Coats from Nicole by O.P.I

Good Morning....

I feel like I'm kicking old school today showing you these swatches of crackle polishes even though these are Four brand new releases. I'm sure I speak for most of the nail- obessed world when I say that crakle is pretty much done out. The four Tecture coats I will be showing you today are actually really pretty an totally different from any crackle out there. Yes they are still crackles, but they do have a little something interesting going on.
To see close up swatches just keep on reading.

When Sh*tty Swatches happen to AMAZING Colors- China Glaze Riveting

Good Morning...

Today is the day the awesome died... OMG I pretty much hate this swatch but I don't have anything else ready to post. The lights I use did nothing for the awesome shimmer and the Sun was far gone at this point. No amount of editing would make this look right so I am very sorry about this crappy picture but I will have a re- swatch soon.
I can't believe I doubted my NEED of this color. This amazing metallic shade of fiery Orange is packed with Gold glassfleck shimmer. The formula on this color is amazing and perfection in Two coats. There is not much I could say about this color that has not been said... I mean it just glows. I could not stop staring at my hands and I predict it will be on my toes pretty much all Summer long and possibly on my finger tips even more. I seriously love this color. Needless to say these pics are kinda pointless because they are not even close to how amazing and glowy this color is.
If you have been doubting your need of this color.. DON'T!! This is absolutely spectacular.

Thank you for stopping by and be on the look-out for a re-swatch soon!

Muffin Monday!! Zoya Apple gets Studded

Good morning and happy Muffin Monday!

Today I have one of, what seems to be, Muffin's favorite colors. I'm pretty sure she has picked this one once before. Today's pick is also one of Mr. LTHP's favorite colors. Whenever he visits me when I'm hard at work in the polish room he always picks up either Apple, Adina or Ivanka. What can I say? The man has good taste :D. So, basically I had Mr. LTHP pick some of his favorite colors and lay them out for Muffin for her to make her final pick... There were A LOT of Greens.
To see this awesome nail art and swatches continue reading.

11 Things...

Good afternoon,
I had planned to do and post an awesome Hunger Games manicure for today but I feel like trash (I'll still do it later on). So here is this tag I was tagged on (what?...) By Two lovely ladies. Nify Ba! and Nail Polish Therapy. I just met these amazing girls not long ago at the March Meet-up for Central Florida beauty bloggers (#beautybloggersorlando). So anyways.. I feel terrible.. I don't have anything quite ready to post so I figured I would do this tag. I dont normally do tags but I need something to take my mind off my whole body aching. I've spent most of my day, which started at 4:00 am, plowing though The Hunger Games Trilogy. Now my eyes need a break  from the Kindle but I still need mayah distractions... So here is this thing :-S.
The Rules
1. Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog.
2. Answer the questions the tagger has set for you plus eleven questions for the people you have tagged to answer.
3. Choose eleven people and link them in your tag.
4. Email the person to let them know that they’ve been tagged.
5. No tag backs.
6. You legitimately have to tag. (Um... No.. I don't lol... I suck at these things... too...lazy...can't..tag...)
11 Things About Me, Cristina
1. I don't know if I can come up with 11 things about me. I always blank when it comes to things like this which is why I usually avoid tags like the plague. I don't think I'm very interesting.

2. I have a hard time making new friends. I'm kinda shy, kinda weird and very awkward.
3. Which brings me to point no.3.. I don't know how, but when I am at work I can be little miss Sunshine and pull it off like I'm such a social butterfly lol. It's the craziest thing.
4. I love my job.
5. OMG I've only manage Five things!??
(30 min of staring off into space later)
6. I love reading. My favorite authors are Chuck Palahniuk, Ellen Hopkins, Suzanne Collins (OMG You don't say?!lol) I'm sure there are more authors I like but these are the ones I really love. I've never read the Harry Potter Books but I def. plan on it and I'm sure I will love them.
7. My favorite kind of food is anything Authentic Puerto Rican. Arroz con Gandulez, Pasteles, Alcapurrias... And now I'm hungry.
8. I think I'm done thinking up stuff about me now... I'm just gonna answer these questions.

11 Questions from Ali(Nifty Ba!)
1. What was your Outfit of the Day
Some super stylin' pijamas....
2. What was the last thing you broke?
The nail that led me to go for nubbies full time.
3. Do you have a custom ringtone on your cell phone?
Nope lol... I used to have all kinds of cutesy things on my phone and then it started crapping out and I had to a get a warranty replacement and I just did not feel like putting all that stuff back into place.
4. Are you named after anyone?
I believe a very young queen. My mom always knew what my name would be.
5. What was the last thing you were complimented about?
 My eyes.
6. What has been the farthest you’ve travelled?
Um... I have not done much traveling but I guess when I went ot Niagra Falls (NY).
7. What does your umbrella look like?
It's a boring navy blue with a Kenneth Cole print on it.
8. Do you have a favorite guilty pleasure meal, treat, or restaurant?
TV Show: Toddlers and Tiaras, Jersey Shore, Geordie Shore, and a lot of cartoons.
Food: Nerds, Merengues, Ice Cream..
9. What is your most prized makeup possession?
I'd have to say it's between my Bare Minerals face make-up and my Benefit Coralista Illuminating Face Powder.
10. What is your most prized possession (non-makeup related)?
My wedding and engagement rings. After that I'd have to say a wedding invitation I have from my grandmothers wedding.
11. Does Zoya have a nail polish with your name on it?
Kind of... They have a Christina but my name is spelled without the "H".

11 Questions from Leandra (NP Therapy)
1. If you could name yourself something other than your birth name what would it be and why?
Nothing. I actually really love my name.

4. What 3 things could you not survive without on a deserted island?
Water, food and shelter? hahaha
5. What article of clothing or makeup do you most identify with based on your personality?
This is gonna get very specific. My cosmetic soul-match is Nfu.Oh 61. I'm dull in my shell but I'm awesome when in my element. I can be difficult to deal with. I can chip easily. I'm expensive and hard to get ahold of loool....
6. What was the best day of your life?
The day my husband and I got engaged. It should be my wedding day but I think of my engagement as such an "us" day.
7. If you could meet your favorite celebrity/actor/actress (dead or alive) what would you say to them?

To DaVinci: "Why the Mona Lisa? Who was she? What drew you to her?
8. What do you know you for certain that you're good at?
Painting my nails!
9. If someone told you 10 years ago your life (activities, interests, accomplishments, etc) would be what it is now, would you believe them?
Probably not. As a young child I had VERY big ambitions that as an adult I've come to realize were way unrealistic lol.  But I am happy with my life.
10. What is your favorite place and why?
My Bed. It's safe. It's warm... It's where I do one of my favorite things..... SLEEP!!!
11. Fill in the blank: I feel most alive when: I make others happy.

I am super tired now and I will try to come up with some questions for the next person. I will not be tagging so anyone who takes this tag from me can use these questions. I invite everyone to play along.

My 11 Questions to you!
1. If you could be ANY nail polish color from any brand, which color would you be and why?
2. What food could you eat until you got sick?

9. Everyone always asks "What is your favorite song?". I'm gonna go the opposite way. What is a song that gets on your nerves?
10. What is your favorite book?
11. Kitties or Puppies?

Off to cuddle with my heating pad and cry now...

Four New Releases from Barielle

Good morning and happy Thursday!

Today I will be showing you Four of Barielle's new releases. Barielle just recently expanded their line by 90 colors. NINETY colors!! So, the other day I came home to a lovely little surprise package from the people at Barielle with Four of their new shades and a great protein base coat, and a top coat. I love that Barielle expanded their line so dramatically. Seems like we don't hear much from Barielle's neck of the woods so to see them come out of the Blue with such a huge expansion makes me kinda happy. I really enjoy Barielle polishes and their formulas so I welcome these Four pretties with open arms... Erm... Hands :D!
To see swatches and details about these pretties just continue reading :D.

O.P.I New York City Ballet Soft Shades for Spring 2012

Hi loves!! O.P.I had me at "ballet".....

I am so excited to show you this collection today. When I first started blogging and up until somewhat recently I wouldn't have even given shades like these a second glance. Something inside me snapped recently and I started craving soft sheer nudes. I've been gravitating to colors that I could kind of "slap- on" and run out the door and still have pretty nails. O.P.I's NYC Ballet Inspired Soft Shades Collection could not have come at a better time for me as I realized I only had Three colors that fell under this category of sheer nudes. I am obsessed with ballet and I pretty much could not love the collection. These soft and ethereal jellies along with the beautiful and dainty glitter really put a smile on my face.
To see swatches of the pretty sheers just keep reading after the jump.

China Glaze Luxe and Lush

Good morning loves!

Today I have my one and only pick from "The Hunger Games" Collection. Of course, I went for Luxe and Lush. It was meant to be, the bottle I got was the very last one. I was actually kind of let down by this collection. I guess, since they are inspired by the 12 Districts, it would make sense for most of them to be kind of bleak and sad. Except , of course, for Luxe and Lush. If you've not read  The Hunger Games, you should totally get on that. It is seriously an amazing book, and I am sure the rest of the series will be just as amazing.
I did Two coats of Luxe and Lush over Two coats of China Glaze Midtown Magic. Luxe and Lush is a great mica-flake top coat. These flakes have a very interesting color shift.  This combination really showcases the true beauty of Luxe and Lush so well. To apply it I kind of blobbed on what ever amount seemed lie enough and the spread that around the nail. I did that Twice. I had to work pretty quickly but carefully before the base started to get too tacky. The little Golden, ember-like shimmer, in Midtown Magic peeks so perfectly through the clear base of Luxe and Lush for a perfect Hunger Games themed mani. I could not stop staring at my fiery tips. To make sure it was all really smooth I did Two coats of Seche Vite.
I just love this! I seriously cannot wait for the movie on Friday!

Did you pick up any HG polishes?

China Glaze Drawn to You- Magnetic Polish

Happy Caturday!!

Today I will be showing you last Saturday's mani :D. I really like the magnetic polish trend but I really want to see different colors being done. It seems everyone is released the same shades.... But this particular color from China Glaze's Magnetix Collection caught my eye because it is just a little different from the other magnetic shades I've seen out there.
Drawn To You is a dusty Purple magnetic polish. The formula on this color is very dense and if you're in a rush you could very easily get away with one coat. I did Two coats. First I did my "base" color coat and did the magnet part on the Second coat to make sure it was all even and covered. I used the diagonal stripe design magnet from the China Glaze 3/magnet- magnet lol. I was kinda let down with the CG magnet. It seems a little weak, no?
Regardless of the weak magnet I still really like this polish and the effect it creates.

Happy St. Paddy's!!

A England The Legend Collection Swatches

Sooo....

Some time ago I posted my Three picks from A England's The Legend Collection. Well when Adina, who is the mastermind behind A England, offered to share the rest of her amazing collection with me I was over the moon and beyond thrilled. Like I said in my original "The Legend" post... This is the collection I've been waiting for to blow me away completely.... I missed out on China Glaze's OMG collection and I was hoping someone else would come along and give us some amazing holographic polishes. A England was listening and she made a collection of Seven amazing polishes, Six of which are holographic finish with some slight duochromes and an amazing Blue shimmer. So, yeah.. Not only did she makes Six amazing holos, some of them have a slight duochrome going on! I'll shut up now and show you pics!

Nicole by O.P.I Kardashian Kolors Spring 2012 Collection Swatches

Good morning loves!

Today I have swatches of Nicole by O.P.I's Kardashian Kolors Spring release. This collection is actually quite fun. I've been really loving what Nicole by O.P.I has been coming out with lately. These colors are perfect for the season. There was one interesting thing about this collection, the brushes. Normally, NOPI brushes are round, these were flat and very similar to the O.P.I brush. Maybe not quite as "refined" as the O.P.I brush. But anyways back to the colors. I really, really LOVE them. There is a wide range of shades and finishes in a small group of just Seven colors.
To see swatches, keep reading after the jump.

Jordana Blue Bash

Oh Glittah!

BLUE glittah!!! I love Blue... I love Glitter.. I love Blue glitter and Jordana made and epic win of a Blue glitter.... Shall I just get on with it?
My base color is Color Club Sweetpea. Jordana's Blue Bash is a mix of different sized Royal Blue Hex glitters in an almost clear base. The base has the slightest tinge of Blue, barely there. This glitter is very dense and it could probably be worn on it's own but I've been on a glittering layering kick lately.
I am seriously loving all these Jordana Glitters but I am just about ready to be done swatching them lol. Swatching glitters is the hardest, biggest pain in the butt ever! We all know how much fun glitters are to remove...

Thanks for stopping by!

Muffin Monday!! Zoya Adina- Dainty Nail Art

Happy Muffin Monday!!

Today's Muffin Monday is brought to you by a stubborn Kitteh who did not want to pick hahah! What I did was I had Mr. LTHP pick the initial Five colors because I just did not want to pick myself and then we set them up for Muffin. She came in... Sat down in front of the arch of colors and started cleaning her pretty little self. Mr. LTHP tried to point her in the direction of the colors and instead she decided she wanted to play and started rolling on her back and being adorable. Mr. LTHP wanted to see Adina... So I went with her... I beyond love the finished look!
Please please please continue reading. This look is too pretty to miss! So.... Please enjoy Mr. LTHP's pick :D!

Pam's Girly Bits Razzle Dazzle

Hi my loves!!!

Today I have an amazing little polish by The lovely Pam. She has created her own line of franken polishes and they are each as creative and beautiful as the next. Pam was kind enough to send me some of her creations for review. Today I will be showing you the amazing Razzle Dazzle. This pretty glitter made me feel like straight up pixie :D!! It is just so pretty. I could not stop staring.... Like seriously. I love this...
I layered Razzle Dazzle  over Nicole by O.P.I Our Fuchsia's Lookin' Bright. OMGGG!!! Isn't this so pretty. It is micro prismatic Magenta glitter in a Magenta jelly base. This is a mini bottle so I decided to layer it because I want it to last. I only did one coat of Razzle Dazzle, so you can see it is very densely packed with amazing sparkle. It's dries a little matte but one coat of Seche Vite makes this beauty come to life. There is so much depth to this polish. I just love it. Must wear on toes soon!
You should totally click on the pic above... No.. Seriously.. Just click it.... I just love this.

Check out Pam's Site for deets on her creations!

Color Club Blossoming Collection Swatches

Good Morning loves!!

Today I have swatches of Color Club's Blossoming Collection for Spring 2012. This collection is made up of Six creamy shades and one "Shard- Like" glitter. I was pretty excited about this collection when I first saw promo shots but in person I was left a little underwhelmed. The colors are not ugly, they are pretty. But they are just that, pretty. There is nothing special or unique about these colors and that is kind of a bummer. Overall I was left with a feeling of overall "meh-ness".
To see close up swatches read on after the jump.

Hi Loves!

Please enjoy the following press release from O.P.I... Must go watch "Center Stage" now... It's my guilty pleasure movie hahah!

On Pointe Lacquers for Spring!

OPI Partners with New York City Ballet to Reveal Six New SoftShades Nail Lacquers

OPI announces the launch of six new additions to the SoftShades collection, inspired by the New York City Ballet (NYCB), one of the world’s premiere dance companies. New York City Ballet by OPI features five sheer shades lightly tinged in hues of beige, pink, white, lilac and gray, as well as a silver sparkly lacquer. With various sized glitter particles, this hue can be worn alone or layered over any of the other colors for added shine and dimension. “OPI is so excited to work with the New York City Ballet,” said Suzi Weiss- Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “NYCB is rich with artistic history and has a renowned reputation that brings people from around the world to see NYCB performances. The dancers, choreography and costumes provided a wealth of inspiration for a range of soft, feminine hues. The beige, pink, and white lacquers bring to mind classic ballet slippers, tutus and leotards, while the sheer lilac and gray add muted color to ballet’s traditional pink.” “One of our goals at NYCB is to make ballet accessible to the widest possible public,” remarks Katherine E. Brown, NYCB Executive Director. “We are thrilled to be partnering with OPI on this exciting new endeavor, sharing the beauty and elegance of NYCB with a new audience.”

Nails by Cristina feat. Jennifer

Hi loves!

Today I will be showing you a manicure I did for the lovely Jennifer who is the mastermind behind Redhead Stepchild Designs. I love her knits and I wish it was colder here so I could wear my pretty stuff I've gotten from her more often. I did a watermarble for Jennifer. This was the very first time I did a watermarble on anone else and I could not be more thrilled with the final results. It was a joy to work on Jen's nails because she has really pretty long nails.
I'm not used to seeing my pretty swirls on my nails since they are so tiny but it was amazing to see her coloful nails. We chose the colors based on the dress Jennifer was wearing when she came over that day.
For this marble I started with a base of one coat of Milani White on the Spot. For the marbling I used all Bettina colors (Big Shocker there, huh?!) Indigo, Green, Starfish, Sunrise and #187. We both could not help but "ooh and ahh" at each nail as it came out of the water. This was so much fun to work on and Jen was a sport about how long it took me for being my first time :D. Aren't these seriously just awesome though? I topped her off with Some SV followed by some Northern LIghts of course.
Be sure to check out Jennifer's shop!  I seriously had a blast working on these and I so want to do more marbles!!! I hope you guys like these as much as Jen and I did!

Thanks for stopping by!

Muffin Monday!! Jordana Bronze Fest

Happy Muffin Monday!!!

OMG I am so over the moon with today's look. Muffin really picked me a winner this week and I'm not even gonna keep blabbing and get straight to it because I. LOVE. This!!!!!!!
AHHHHH OMG I just seriously LOVE this!!! So Bronze Fest is a base of Micro Bronze and Gold glitter with Medium Bronze particles and larger Bronze and Gold Hexes mixed in a clear base. This glitter is super dense and I only used one coat for this layering. Now, since this glitter is like Fall in a bottle I wanted to "Spring" it up a little bit and sitting there was my Nicole by O.P.I Paparazzi don't Preach which turned out to be the perfect base color in my opinion. I seriously cannot stop staring at my nails. This is one of the most unique glitters I've seen in some time. LOOOVE! LOVE, LOOOOVE!!!
 Hee hee!! She's so presh.....

But seriously though!!! Look at this beauty!!
Pretty awesome right? Or is it just me? Gawd I hope it's not just me ahahah!!!

Happy Muffin Monday!

Gimmie the Blues

Happy Saturday my loves!

It is no secret that I love Blue polish. I just love Blue as a color in general. I find it soothing, refreshing and clean. I love all shades of Blue as well. I love vibrant Blues, soft Blues, shimmery Blues... I could go on for days about how much I love Blue... But for your sake I won't :D. I'll just show you Two awesome Blue shades of polish instead.
Sinful Colors Cinderella
There is nothing sinful about this color *badum tsssss* trollooololol! Cinderella is a soft Blue base with Pink/ Golden shimmer. The formula on this color is pretty sheer and a bit streaky. For these pics I did Three coats of Cinderella but I think next time I wil layer it over a similar shade of Blue. I still absolutely love this color and how dreamy and princessy it is. Cinderella is the perfect name for this shade of shimmery Blue.

China Glaze Frostbite
Frostbite is a pretty popular China Glaze shade. It is an electric shade of shimmery Pepsi Blue. The formula on this color is very pigmented and so easy to work with. This was one of my first China Glaze colors I ever bought and I still love it to pieces! This is Two coats of Frostbite.
Moar blue!!!!

Happy Saturday!
