Hard Candy- Candy Sprinkles Skittle Nails

(**Press Sample**)
Good afternoon!

Today I have a sweet skittle mani I did using some of my new Hard Candy nail polish shades. These are all from the Candy Sprinkles collection. As you can see, these cuties are heavily inspired by the "glitter sammich" concept. This group is made up of Nine creamy-glitter polishes. Today I am sharing a cute skittle mani with Five of these pretties.
From thumb to Pinkie:
Gummy Green: A creamy-jelly, muted Mint-colored base, with Silver and Black small hexagonal glitter. This particular shade had one of the better formulas. I used Three thin coats for full coverage and to get a really good "mint-chip ice cream" effect going on.
Pixie Pink: A creamy-jelly, light milky Blue-Based Pink. The small hexagonal glitters in this one are Teal, Silver and Pink. I used Three thin coats. The formula on this shade was nice and easy to work with.
Sweet Tooth: A jelly, almost White pink packed with Blue, Pink and Silver glitter. This was the most sheer of all the colors I tried. I used Three decent coats but the formula was great and easy to work with.
Jelly Bean Blue: A creamy base, Powdery Blue packed with Blue and Black glitter. I found the  formula on this shade to be patchy and a little problematic. A light and patient hand is key with shades like this one. I used Three coats.
Sugar Rush: A white creamy base packed full of Black and Silver glitter. I had the same formula issues with this shade as I did with Jelly Bean Blue. Three coats as well.
Below are some macros of these yummy looking polishes.
Even though the formulas are kind of.. all over the place... I really am not bothered by that and really ended up loving these polishes. I'm glad that an affordable polish line came out with these "speckled/ sprinkled" polishes. These all seemed to even out well at Three coats and they all wore really well. I think I had these on for about Four days, no chips, no shirnkage. Before application it is best to give these polishes a good shake, they like to settle a bit. These babies to require a good top coat to bring out the shine and smooth the surface. I used Two coats of KBShimmer Clearly on Top top coat and I had absolutely ZERO shrinkage (YAYAYAYAY Praise the polish gods).

Have you tried any of these new Hard Candy polishes? They are available at Wal-Mart and Online as well. For the price, these are adorable little polishes and I really love what hard Candy did with the glitter-sammich looks. I like all of these quite a lot ♥.

Any faves?

Milani Textured Nail Polish in Shady Gray

(**Press Sample**)
Happy Friday!!

Today I have the One shade I did not get to show you guys when I did my Milani Textured Skittles Post. That pretty was Shady Gray. Way back, when LTHP was a baby blog, I was OBSESSED with Grey nail polish. I would pretty much gravitate toward Grey tones any time I was doing an "on the go" mani. Along the way I started loving on bright tones and kinda drifted away from wearing Greys.
Then last week, I was doing a super rushed mani, and I decided to use Shady Gray because I knew it would go on quickly and look neat. I could not stop staring at my nails and was immediately reminded of my past love affair with Grey nail polish. I loved how sexy and cool my nails looked. There is something about Grey polish that gives me that "cool without trying too hard" feeling. Do you have a shade that does that for you?
Shady Gray has an amazing formula and that neat concrete-like texture. This picture was taken the day after application. I did Two coats for my manicure and was satisfied with the opacity at that point. Though looking at pictures now some nails could have benefited from a Third thin coat. Alas, I stopped at two coats and called it a day. My nails were dry fairly quick and once again I found the wear on this textured polish to be remarkable.
I am still not bothered by the texture at all. They are far smoother than I ever thought they would be and I've had zero snagging on clothes, sheets, hair, etc... I am enjoying these textured polishes a lot and I love that the have such amazing wear. For some reason I was expecting all these textured polishes to chip easily.

I have so many more textured polishes coming your way! I also want to do a massive comp post since so many of you lovelies have requested the different collections be compared to each other.

Thanks for stopping by and happy weekend!!

Indie Spammy- Spam!!

(**Press Sample**)
Good afternoon my darlings!

Look at me getting a post up!!! I hope you guys have missed me as I have missed you. A few days ago I asked you guys on Facebook if you were interested in seeing some indie spam and the answer was a big 'ol Yes. SO spam you I shall.

Lac Attack Hogwarts over OCC Power Plant
Hogwarts is an awesome mix of small Blue, Silver, Orange and Green glitters suspended in a clear base. I love the unique blend of colors and the pretty, sparkling effect it creates when layered.

Colores de Carol Hero in Disguise
Hero in Disguise is a muted Grey jelly with very subtle Blue-Violet shimmer accented by Marigold and Coral hex particles as well as Black stars. This is a really cute polish, and I loved wearing it, But it was not the easiest to work with, and I had to do quite a lot of fishing to get the glitter pieces on the nail. I used Three coats for my mani.

R. Hobby Cosmetics Holo Berry over SindiePOP White Gold
Holo-Berry is a blend of small Raspberry and Black glitter suspended in a clear base.

Twee & Honey Glittertits over Picture Polish Kryptonite
Glittertits (LOLOLOLOL) is a mix of chunky Silver holo hexes and smaller Silver holo particles suspended in a clear base. This is a fantastic topper for just about any shade.

KBShimmer Where my Peeps At?
Where my Peeps At? is an adorable, soft Yellow jelly with small Pink, yellow and green glitter accented by Circle glitters in Gold, Green, red and Pink. This polish is just TOO CUTE!!! I am really liking the Circle glitters, they add something new and unexpected.

I am still working on getting better on my end. I have not been extremely well, but I am staying as positive as possible. I have many beauties to play with and I am really wanting to feel better so I can dive back into my stash. Truth is I can no longer downplay how unwell I've been feeling. I had been working really hard at "mind over matter" but lately my body is winning. On a positive note, I am keeping track of my ideas in a notebook and when I feel well again there will be SO much awesome happening!!!

Do you adore any of these?

Zoya PixieDust Nyx and Vespa and a PixieDust Recap

(**Press Sample**)
Hi loves and happy Friday!!

Today I am showing you my last PixieDust combo as well as recapping the other combinations I wore with these pretties. My final combination was a simple alternating color mani with Nyx and Vespa. Once again I was completely blown away by the wear on these polishes and how beautiful and sparkly they are.
Zoya Nyx is a lovely Cornflower Blue texture packed with lovely Silver shimmer and glitter. This shade does best in Three easy coats. I also advice waiting a bit between coats to make sure the textured bits do not clump together. Vespa is a really delicate Sage green with that same beautiful Silver Sparkle. Both of these colors are really flattering and easy on the eyes. I wore these babies for about Five days and had very minimal chips.

Now, Zoya has been, in a way, called out by their fans for going a little photoshop- happy with the Summer PixieDust promo pics. And I kinda get it lolol. I mean they were obviously re-touched with the cute added starry sparkles and whatnot... We know they are sparkly, faeries, there is no need to resort to over photoshopping. That would be like taking a picture of an already beautiful model and trying to shop her to make her "even prettier"... Generally it ends up taking away. So, I took a blurry pic to show just how sparkly these are. And the answer is: INTENSELY sparkly. The best part is that the sparkle seems to float over the textured surface and the "encrusted" sparkles give it this cool precious stone look. But no pic will ever do these true justice.. Just try one out. I promise, it will be LOVE at first try.

I won't go into detail about these combos since they have been previously shown. But I will go ahead and link the original post in case you have any questions. Below are London and Chyna.

And here are Dahlia and Godiva.
After trying all these, I am very giddy to try the new Summer PixieDusts. Zoya did an amazing job on these colors and the sparkly finish that they chose. I will be honest, I wanted to hate this textured trend... but I don't. I really am loving it a lot and I really like all the different takes from all the different companies. I have to say though, Zoya's are, by far, my favorite! From this group in particular I really adore Chyna, Godiva and  Vespa.
I know I've said it a lot but the wear on these is AMAZING!!! These are also sheer enough that they can be layered over other colors, or eachother, to create really cool effects. I am really excited to see the vivid Summer shades. These are just AMAZING. They apply like a dream, they dry fast enough and are just beautiful. Textured nails have become my new weekend thing because I know they will always wear like iron and start lots of conversations :D.

Do you have a favorite shade from this collection? And if so how did you rock your PixieDusts?

Random #EOTD Spam featuring Milani's New Ultra Fine Liquid Liners

(**Some of the products in this post were provided for review consideration**)
Hello my darlings!!

I won't beat around the bush, I feel like garbage. IDK what has been going on, but these past few weeks I've been having more bad days than good. It's a bummer because for a while I had been feeling better for some time, normal even. And then, all of a sudden, I'm starting to feel garbage-y again and having a hell of a time working up the energy to do even the smallest things. Fear of food is also at an all time high, as it does not seem to matter how healthy or badly I eat. Meaning, no matter what, I end up sick :(.
I've not been able to paint my nails since last Friday. I've been wearing Zoya's PixieDust in Nyx and Vespa, they are still holding up fairly well. So, since I don't really have nails to show you, I figured I do a spama-lama-dingdong post of some #EOTD's I've done over the past few weeks. All of these feature different brands of eye shadows, but they all have something in common. They all feature one or more of the new Milani Ultra fine felt tip liquid liners. I seriously LOVE those suckers!!
SO guess what?! I am STILL horrible at taking notes while I do my makeup lolol!! I am SO sorry about any missing details on these looks. But as always, of you have any burning questions, feel free to leave 'em in the comments, or email me and I will do my best to answer it for you! Please enjoy some eyes-piration while I work on getting well ♥.

Blue Moons for Autism Awareness with China Glaze

(**Press Samples**)
Good Morning!!

Today I am continuing my Blue manis for Autism Awareness month. I hope to finish out this week in Blues. The plan is to feature as much Blue as possible during the month of April. Though, I did see a post on the LVX nail color FB page that April is also Anti- Animal Cruelty Awareness month, I think the color for them is Yellow(Correction:It is Orange). So lots of Blue and Yellow Orange on LTHP during April. For today's look I went with a simple half-moon manicure, all in China Glaze.
This look started with Two coats of China Glaze Sunday Fundy. This is a lovely shade of Robin's Egg Blue creme. Once my base was dry I added some polka dots using Cheeky stamping plate CH6 and China Glaze Lil Drummer Boy. I top coated my nails with some SV and waited for them to be really dry.
For the half-moons I used China Glaze Strap on your Moonboots. This is a beautiful, steely Blue holographic shade. I then went back and cleaned up the seams of my moons with a fine stripe of Blue glitter. For this I used a Stripe Rite nail art striping polish. I did not top coat over the Holographic portions as I did not know if adding a top coat would diminish the pretty holographic finish.

In the photo below I used the flash so the holo would show better. It was so cloudy and Grey outside yesterday :(. Strap on your Moonboots is not an in-your-face-holo, but it is still very linear in finish. It also has a really great, saturated formula. This holo might be great for stamping as well.
I want to thank all those of you who have been sharing your Autism Awareness manis with me! It's great to see so many different online communitites coming together for such a great cause.

Thanks for stopping by darlings!

LVX Watermarble for Autism Awareness Month

(**Press Sample**)

Good am and happy humpday!

For today's look I decided to do a watermarble that used the colors for Autism Awareness. I was thinking along the lines of the puzzle piece ribbons. These ribbons usually feature the primary colors, Red, Blue and Yellow. This was my first time marbling with LVX nail polish, and they were amazing! Sorry about the greasy fingers. My tips were SO dry after the marbling and cleanup. They were starved for some moisture.
For this marble I started with a base of LVX Fantom. For the watermarble portion I used LVX Cerulean(Blue), Citrine(Yellow) and Fantom. Once my marble was nice and dry I accented the swirls with some small Red dots using Bettina Be Jolly. The final touch was a light coating of INM Northern Lights top coat.

Here is a swatch of my base shade Fantom. This is a stark White creme. The formula on this White creme was a little streaky. I had to keep a very light and steady hand to avoid bald patches. I used Three coats for full, even opacity.
I normally only marble with Bettina polishes because they really take the guessing out of marbling for me. But these LVX cremes were just about PERFECT for this technique as well. They have a really good spread in the water and the pigmentation is just right.  I also had no issues come cleanup time. These come off clean and don't stain the skin.

Thanks for stopping by my loves!

In Bettina Blues for World Autism Awareness Day

(**Press Sample**)
Good morning and happy Tuesday,

Today is World Autism Awareness Day, therefore my nails shall be Blue. For this simple look I went with all Bettina shades. I had not played with my Bettina pretties in a while.
This look started with Two coats of Bettina Vanity. For the puzzle piece stamp I used Bundle Monster plate BM219 and Bettina Over dyed. To finish it all off I added a coat of INM Northern Lights top coat and some Blue stones near the cuticles.

Here is a swatch of Bettina Vanity. This shade is pretty much a dupe of Zoya Blu. I did find the formula on the Bettina much easier to work with. I used Two easy coats. I can't get enough of these White-Based "bridal-y" Blues.
Thank you all for stopping by and thanks to all of you who are wearing your Blues today!!
