Monday Lippy Spamalamadingdong!!

(**Milani and Hard Candy Press Samples**)
Good afternoon lovelies!!

For this edition of Monday spam I am sharing a TON of lippy swatches! I've become quite the lip color fiend. I remember a time when I feared lip color, and I feel so SILLY when I think back to those days. To me (now), a good look is not complete until I add some mascara and a fierce pout! I've ventured into wearing bold Reds, extreme mattes and mastering OCC lip tars. As you can see, I just LOVE the bright shades. I'm having troubles finding nude tones that look good with my skin tone... So I'll just stick to my brights instead ;).
Since there are lots of pics I am doing a jump. To see close ups of these pretties just continue reading ♥.

OCC Lip Tar in January Rising over Revlon Balm Stain in Lovesick
OCC lip tar in January Rising is a remarkable shade, with an even more remarkable [STORY]. If you have a moment, please click the link and read the story behind this beauty. I wish more companies like OCC were around. Anywho, this shade is a beautiful shade of VIVID Blue-toned Fuchsia, practically neon. My camera did her best to capture this beauty, but she struggled... I am still learning to properly work with lip tars, my application can be sloppy at times. For this shade I tried something new, I layered over a Revlon Balm Stain. I went with Lovesick since it was so close to the lip tar shade. I let my stain "set" a bit then applied January Rising over Lovesick. It made the application much easier and the color POP like crazy! Also, I had Pink lips for about 36 hours. It was awesome hhahaha! Stain+Lip Tar= perma lip color!!

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Best Red
And a Best Red it is!! Best Red is a fantastic shade of beautiful balanced Red matte creme. What I love about Milani's mattes is that they do not feel drying on the lips at all. They also apply with extreme ease, and have amazing wear. I HIGHLY recommend any and all Milani color statement lipsticks. They are just amazing.

Lime Crime Velvetine in Suedeberry
Suedeberry is one of the matte liquid lip colors by Lime Crime. While I LOVE this color, the application was quite troublesome. I might take some of the blame on the troubles I had with application because I didn't prep my lips properly the day I wore this. It is best to exfoliate and moisturize before wearing these pretties. Suedeberry is a lovely, and very vivid, pinuppy matte Coral. The wear on this baby is out of this world!!

Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick in Centrifuchsia
This shade is an amazing shade of true Fuchsia creme lippy. The application and wear on this shade are great.

Maybelline Vivids in Hot Plum
Maybelline's Hot Plum is a great Blue-toned Fuchsia on me. This shade is not as opaque as I was hoping it would be. It pulls quite Pink on me, which I do not mind, I was hoping for more of a Purple shade though.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in #109
#109 is a GORRRRRG shade of a matte muted Coral creme. I just adore this shade. This color has become one of my go-to shades this Spring/Summer.  The application of this shade is amazing, and the application is fab as well. I also love the matte finish on this color. This shade is uber flattering, I think a lot of girls could enjoy this shade.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in #111(Kiss of Life)
Kiss of Life #111 is an incredibly sultry shade of Blue toned Ruby Red matte creme. Once again, I have nothing but love for this shade. I picked up this color on a whim, and I am SO glad I did.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in #103
#103 is a beautiful shade of a light, Blue-toned Bubblegum Pink matte creme. This shade is made of pure win. I was expecting this shade to be much more muted, however, it is the PERFECT shade of soft matte Pink. I LOOOOVE this color on my skin tone and have also worn it quite a few times this season. I usually carry this color with me. I gravitate toward it a lot.

Milani Color Statement in Sweet Nectar
Sweet Nectar is a gorgeous shade of true Orange creme. I quite like this color, very juicy and Summery.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Double Espresso
This is SOO not my type of color. While it looked good, I felt weird wearing it. This shade is a deep, shimmery shade of Cocoa. Quite a bit of Golden shimmer came out when on my lips. It was definitely an interesting shade to wear for me.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Red Label
Red Label pulls a to a Pink-toned Red creme on me and I LOVE it for that. This is a super wearable shade of Red, great for every day wear.

Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick in Poisonberry
Poisonberry= Amazing Blue-toned Plummy shimmering goodness.

Hard Candy All Glossed Up in Love Byte
Love Byte is a "chubby pencil" style balm-stain-gloss. These are not super opaque, but more of an adorable flush of glossy color. Love Byte is a light Raspberry shade of gloss. These feel really light on the lips.

Hard Candy Megawatt Smile in Gleamin'
Gleamin' is a very soft, peachy gloss with a "brightening" center to the stick. Does that make sense? These are also not very opaque, but feel very nice on the lips as well. This lippy also has a very light tingly feeling that feels awesome on my pout.

What have been your go-to colors this Spring and Summer season? I seem to be going though some kind of Pink-Red-Coral phase. I'm interested to see what the Fall season will do to my lippy color choices. Any colors in this bunch speaking to you?

  7. Hi Cristina! I am a new reader and I've recently discovered you trough Nikkie from YT "NikkieTutorials" and I was fast to fall in love with you, your blog, your nails and your makeup looks! Much success to you and from now on you have my support!
What I wanted to say was that I recently bought the Lime Crime Velvetines in both colors. What I noticed was that Red Velvet applies like a dream, doesn't budge, smudge or cracks away. But, Suedeberry on the other hand, was not even close! It applied blotchy and I had to put on three differente layers for it to look like Red Velvet! And it also did not wear off nicely too, leaving the corners of my mouth cracked and the center lipstick-less. Now I'm not hating on Lime Crime, I ADORE them, but I think that there's something specifically off with Suedeberry. Maybe it's the pigment, I don't know! Anyways... I'm rambling. Did you also feel like Suedeberry was a little off?
I would like to hear your opinion. Thank you!
    Kisses from Brazil!

  8. I own most of these - and have been going through the same colors as you! SO FUN!<3

  9. So awesome. I love them. Will be sure to pick up red label and sweet nectar after seeing them swatched like this ;)

  10. I thought suedeberry was off indeed. Red velvet was sooo easy to apply and even. Suedeberry wss really streaky, patchy and really drying. I wish I had only gone for red velvet. Idk how often I will wear suedeberry.. maybe layered it is better?

  11. I'm happy for you that you've discovered the wonderful world of lipstick.
