Today I am sharing my Violet look for day Six of the #31DC2013. I had a hard time deciding what shade of Purple to go with... But once I landed on That's Shore Bright from the China Glaze Sunsational Neons collection, I knew I wanted to do something as cute and playful as the base color. I heart Purple (badum tssss)! #31DC2013 Day Six: Violet Nails
Heart all the nails! For this simple look I started with a base of That's Shore Bright. Once my base was completely dry I started stamping. For the cute heart designs I used Pueen plate Pueen16 and Cheeky Plate CH14. I used Konad Black special polish for my stamping. I top coated with some Seche Vite and called it a day. My thumb was done to match my Ring fingernail. I absolutely LOVE the finished look and I am madly in love with this color by China Glaze.
China Glaze That's Shore Bright
This baby is a Pink toned, neon pastel Lilac/Purple. It is an AMAZING shade and it is so insanely flattering. I didn't find the formula on this color to be bad. The reviews for the Sunsational neons have been all over the place. The Two I have tried so far were not problematic. I used Two easy coats of That's Shore Bright for my base. This shade dries a bit satin-matte so a top coat is a must to make it shiny and extra smooth.
I'm really enjoying my rounded nails! This comes as a surprise to me because for the longest time I thought I could not pull off rounded nails. That, and I had square nails for so long, I didn't know if I would know how to properly round them off.. but I kinda love them. They are actually the longest they have been in a while but I have current desire to make them short just yet. It is really nice having an extra bit of length for the upcoming challenge prompts. I'm curious to see how long I can go before I feel like I want to hack 'em off... *challenge accepted!!*

ReplyDeleteWow, this color reminds me of that fake (altered) Chanel polish bottle & nail pic floating around on Pinterest several months ago. I thought a color the shade in the pic would've been really nice! I'll have to compare the 2 pics to see if they are similar or if it's just my memory, Lol.
