Happy Sunday!!!
Yep, it's happening again! Against my better judgement, I've decided to take on the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge ;-), for the Third year in a row. This year there are A LOT of bloggers taking the challenge on together. To follow the posts via social media you can use the hashtag #31DC2013.
No, Sammy and I did not coordinate haha. I recently received the OCC Moderncraft Collection. The promo shots for this collection really captured my imagination with the edgy throwback/cabaret look. I knew, immediately, when I saw these two shades that I wanted to do a 1920's inspired half-moon mani. So, without further delay, I give you my Red Nails for Day one of the 31 Day Challenge.

This look features Two new shades from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. The almond creme shade is Mein Herr and the red metallic shimmer is Lustgarten. I cleaned up the seams of the moons with a Red glitter streiping polish. I will be reviewing the OCC Modercraft collection very soon. There are some amazing shades! I finished the whole look off with some KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
I actually eneded up LOVING this look to bits. I felt so retro-glam and "flapper-ish" haha. I am sooo excited to see alll the amazing looks from all the gals participating in the challenge this year!
Here are all the prompts we will be taking on over the coming 31 Days. Thank you to Sarah of Chalkboard nails for the pretty prompt list!

ReplyDeletegoergous yet simple. I really liked the backward accent nail too. That idea is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these vintage nails. It reminds me of the Norma Shearer movie, "The Women." It's very 1940s! I also blog about other 194s stuff, mostly jitterbug, but movie & book reviews as well as micro stories about dancing at girlinthejitterbugdress.com. I will share this pic with my readers and friends. I'm inspired. I haven't done nails like this in a while :) Thanks for reminding me!
