Zoya Zenith Collection Swatches

(**Press Samples**)
Good morning and happy New Year's eve!

Today I want to share my swatches of the Zoya Zenith collection. As usual Zoya did an amazing, Six color, collection that perfectly captures the flash and sparkle of the Holiday season. I love that they can do this without creating colors that feel overdone or too typical. Brava for thinking out of the box Zoya! I was so happy to see Zoya revisit the holographic jelly- glassflecks, the painfully bright foils and the bar glitter glazes this year.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Fragmented Alice Collection- Nail Art Look

Hello and happy Monday everyone!!

Today I have a quick nail art post to share with you lovelies!! I hope everyone celebrating had a beautiful Christmas!! I don't know about you beauties, but this gal is sooo ready for 2014 to get here. 2013 was a weird year for me, extremely weird now that I think about it. I'm definitely ready to kick 2014's bum though.
Today's look features the Two nail polish shades that Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics released for their Fragmented Alice collection. This particular collection was inspired by the work of artist Gail Potocki.
occ gryphon and severed photo DSCN4065_zpsfb5ec270.jpg
The two shades featured are Gryphon; a muted Putty- Grey creme, and Severed a saturated and hot Coral creme shade. Both of these shades have absolute perfect formulations. I was incredibly impressed by the application of both colors. Both of these shades, Gryphon and Severed, are true one coat polishes. I could not believe how pigmented, yet smooth and self-leveling these two shades were.
For my nail art I went with a mixed look, these are AMAZING for nail art. I did some dotting, some splattering and some tape striping. I really loved how these Two colors played off of each other. In case any of you are wondering, my Thumbnail matched the Ring nail (splatter). To finish off my whole look I did a generous coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top top coat.

The Fragmented Alice collection by OCC is still available online. The lacquers retail for $10.00. OCC brand can also be found in some Sephora stores as well as Sephora online.

Have you guys tried any OCC nail colors yet? If you have not, I highly recommend this brand (I am also a huge fan of their lip tars). I've yet to encounter a single shade with a bad formulation. Not to forget that their color range is amazing! They are all quite magical really. I fell in love with OCC lacquers during their Moderncraft fall release. I think this is a crush that will last a long time! Now... Grey and Coral forevaaaah!!!! I never knew this color combination could look so chic!

Thanks for stopping by loves!

A England Dancing with Nureyev and Encore Margot

Hello everyone!!

My goodness!! It is already December 23rd!! I don't know about you guys, but this year has been a crazy whirlwind for me. It really feels like the Earth is spinning faster or something. I simply cannot believe that Christmas is right around the corner and the year is almost over.
So, as a blogger, I don't really get to actually enjoy most of the polish that comes my way. Meaning, I don't get to actually wear many of the polishes you see on this blog. More often than not, most of my polishes get swatched and stashed away for later wear or nail art use. That said, there are special colors here and there that I just KNOW I have to wear and enjoy. Enter the A England Ballerina Collection. If there is One thing that this brand has mastered is the ability to capture my heart by creating beautiful colors with even more beautiful inspirations behind them.
The Ballerina Collection features Four fantastic Holographic shades. They each have a very delicate feel with an intense linear holographic finish, and in some cases even a slight duochromatic look to them. For this manicure I chose to wear Dancing with Nureyev and Encore Margot
A england Dancing with Nureyev and Encore Margot photo DSCN3319_zps97e4c276.jpg
In the photo above I am holding Encore Margot. This beauty is an outstanding shade of Silvery Ice Blue linear holographic. The formula was absolutely amazing, it could have practically been one coat but I used Two. I am always so amazed by A England polishes, but their holos take the cake. They are always buttery smooth and self leveling. The other amazing thing about these holographic polishes is that they wear like iron.

A england Dancing with Nureyev and Encore Margot photo DSCN3327_zps48031272.jpg
In the photo above I am holding Dancing with Nureyev. This beauty is a light Sapphire Blue linear holo with a slight Violet duochrome. This beauty is so wintery and really just astonishing. This shade could have also easily been one coat, but I used Two. Another great thing about these two holo-pretties is that they look holographic in just about every kind of light. It is like they are made of nothing but micro holo particles. Many holos can be a let down if they are not in Sunlight, not these little gems.

All pictures were taken before applying a top coat. As you can see they are very shiny, even and smooth. Hooray for holos with great formulas!! One more great thing about these... Adding a top coat will not alter the holoness of them. The effect remains just as strong, even with top coat. That is always a worry for me when wearing holographic shades as top coats tend to mute the effect.
A england Dancing with Nureyev and Encore Margot photo DSCN3332_zps230d938f.jpg
I wore these for about Five days. In the end they started chipping because I was naughty and started picking at them. I'm sure if I had left them alone, they could have gone even longer. I spent most of the time moving my hands about to make little rainbows come out on my nails. Sometimes I forget how much I love a good holo, and A England delivered just that with this collection. If you are a fan of holographic shades you will fall in love with these pretties.

The A England Ballerina Collection is available now through various e-tailers and retails for $10/ color.

Today's mission is to get some rushed holiday nails put together hahaha. I seriously slacked this Holiday season. I'm not really happy about that, but I think I needed the break. I shall come back refreshed and full of new ideas. I have many goals for LTHP this coming year, such excite!!

Now drool at the beauty that are Dancing with Nureyev and Encore Margot! ^.^ ♥.

Merry PINKmas! Cute Stamps and Gradients and Sparkles. Oh My!

(**Press Sample**)
Happy Thursday!!

Pinkmas is here!!! Slowly but surely, I've started getting into the Holiday spirit. It is kinda hard to get with the program when it is December, but I can still lay out and get a tan. C'mon.. I know it's Florida and all, but catch up already Mother Nature haha! Anywho, I sat down to play with some polishes yesterday and I ended up with this simple, but cute Pinkmas look.
PINKMAS! photo PinkmasLook1_zps7bc6afcf.jpg
For this look I started with a base of Barielle Pink Flip Flop. I then did a PInky gradient using Barielle Pink Flip Flop and Cosmic Kiss. Then came the sparkly part. I added a coat of Zoya Mosheen from their Zenith Holiday collection. Adding this magical glitter glaze gave my gradient an icy, wintery look. Mosheen is just BEAUTIFUL! It is an icy blend of micro bars and sparkles in a very , very light Blue jelly base. The sparkles themselves are very iridescent, twinkly and just beautiful. I only needed one coat of Mosheen to get good coverage as the glaze is fairly thick and packed with sparkle.
Once my sparkling gradient was dry I went back and added some stamped details. I used Konad Black special polish for my stamps. The designs came from Cheeky plate CH6 and Pueen plate Pueen42. To finish the whole look off I did a top coat of Seche Vite.

And because I just ADORED this sparkling gradient, here is a pic pre stamps. I think Holiday Barbie would rock these. Mosheen gave my Pink shades just the right touch of Blue tint without altering the Pinks too much. I had contemplated stopping here because I loved this gradient and Mosheen so much.
 photo ZoyaMosheen_zps66b6b72c.jpg

And here is a shot of my base color Pink Flip Flop. This is an adorable shade of Strawberry milk shake Pink creme. The formula on this baby is just perfect and does great in Two easy coats. This color has a very smooth and creamy formula.

Pinkmas is here!!! I hope you guys enjoyed this look. Oh and if you were on the fence about Mosheen.. Don't be! It is absolutely magical and beautiful. I have a feeling she will be making a few more appearances during this season and when it (hopefully) cools down.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Outfit Post: Burning Artists Collective XO America Legs

Happy Humpday!!

Today I want to share an outfit post with you guys. This past weekend was a BEAUTIFUL one here in Sarasota, Fl. So, this past Sunday Daniel and I were kinda bored and I asked him if he was up for an impromptu mini shoot. The amazing people behind Burning Artists Collective spoiled me rotten a few weeks back. I really can't express my gratitude enough. But what I can do, is have some kick ass times in their clothing and document it for you guys haha. I like to think I'm fierce now and then (insert "lols" here).
  photo BACXOAmerica_zps1bb39a94.jpg
This post is all about my amazeballs XO America Leggings. These pop art inspired leggings were a perfect fit for this mini shoot. We headed to this park, where every year they do an exhibition of amazing sculptures by artists all around the world.
I paired my Black and White leggings with a bright Orange top I spotted at Ross (THANKS DAD!!), some simple sandals from Ami Club Wear and accessories from Chantilly Fashion, Nail Veils and Like a Cat Jewelry.
I seriously love this top. It is so soft, flowy and flattering. The color was perfect against the B&W striped leggings, and created a neat contrasting look.
These leggings feature a cool "X's and O's" pattern on the left bum cheek and back lower right calf. The vertical stripes really elongate my legs and gives a slimming effect. What girl doesn't love an item of clothing that makes them look taller and slimmer?
For reference, I am only 5'5" and weigh about 110 lbs (I wear an XS across the board in BAC clothing). I'm def not very tall, but the leggings seem to adjust to my height and there was no bunching of fabric at the ankles.

I love how my necklace looks in this photo. As a matter of fact, I just LOVE this necklace.. So much so that I've named her Roberta (if Ru Paul can name his wigs, I can name my necklaces hahaha). This beauty came from the talented Brittany of Chantilly Fashion. She does beautiful and whimsical pieces of jewelry.  I am also wearing cute little "gear" earrings from the steampunky Like a Cat Jewelry. I stumbled upon these ladies at Tampa Comic Con and just fell in LOVE with their vibe and creations. Sunnies are from Target.

How 'bout a close up shot of my Chantilly Fashion necklace and circle knuckle ring by the talented Su of Chronicle Stones and Nail Veils. On my nails was the mind-blowing KBShimmer Rollin' with the Chromies.

I take a walk, take a walk, take a walk... Great.. Now I have Passion Pit going through my head...  Sarasota can be beautiful some times.

Mandatory "goofing shot" haha. There were so many of these neat "rock people" sculptures. They were like something out of Dr. Who.

I could go for more days like this one. I could also go for a drop of a few degrees in temperature. C'mon Florida hahah!!! People everywhere are getting snow and I'm here in my Bikini getting ready to lay out and catch some rays.
Back to BAC for a minute lol. So the XO America legs by Silver Seed designs are actually on sale right now! They are down from $62.50 to $29.95. That is a SWEEEEEET deal. These are great quality and have a great fit as well. BAC is killing me right now with all their new collabs as well. They have teamed up with some amaaaazing artists for the new collections. If you are into art and fashion, or art as fashion... You will definitely dig the BAC vibe.

Thank you all for stopping by today. Don't forget you guys still have ONE more day to enter my KBShimmer Giveaway!! As always, a huge thanks to my patient and supportive husband for snapping beautiful pictures of my outfit and the scenery.

KBShimmer Winter- Holiday Releases for 2013

(**Press Samples**)
Hello everyone, and happy Tuesday!

Today I want to share some more Holiday releases from the amazing KBShimmer. Along with an 11- piece, blogger inspired, Holiday collection; KBShimmer also released Four Holiday themed creations of her own (as well as Seven new shifting multichromes which I will be covering sooooon). In this group Christy did One glitter topper, a jelly based beauty and Two of her signature epic creamy based glitter bombs.  Shall we get on with it?

 photo Ribbetcollage_zps3ef8a6fe.jpg
All swatches are shown with a top coat for smoothness and shine.

KBShimmer Kringle All the Way over Bettina Jingle Belle
Kringle All the Way is a magical, dotty blend of traditional Holiday colors suspended in a clear base which is packed of tiny Holographic twinkle. There are dots in Green, Red, Silver, Light Gold and Light Green. I had no issues in the application of this fun and chunky topper. The bigger bits came out with no fishing and gave no issues come application time. I used Two coats of Kringle All the Way over my base color. Doesn't it look like little scattered ornaments? I just adore this.

EDIT: Don't forget to buy your bottle of Kringle All The Way by the 13th, and $4 per bottle will be donated to Toys For Tots!

KBShimmer All Elf'd Up
Fun fact: So, initially when Christy and I were discussing my collab shade for her blogger collection (Merry Pinkmas), this is kinda what we had come up with (I still have all Four prototypes ;).. And then I had an "aha- moment" and decided to make the base Pink and to add neon bits to make it more "LTHP- esque".
I was so happy so see that Christy went ahead and refined the shade and released a White based crelly with a Holiday glitter blend. All Elf'd Up is a blend of traditional Red, Green Silver and White glitter in varying Hex sizes and micro bars. As usual the formula on this baby was magical and was good to go in Three thin coats. The spread of the glitter is perfect, and the coverage of the White base is dead on. Peppermint Bark anyone?

Edit: KBShimmer Snow Flaking Way
Snow Flaking  Way= MUCH EPIC! This baby is a Royal/ Grape Purple jelly base packed of Silver, Holo and Burple glitter as well a Holo snowflake shaped glitter. I had no luck getting the snowflakes out, but I could care less. I was completely smitten with the shade of Purple of the base jelly. The glitter makes this twinkle in the most beautiful way. I used Three thin coats for full and even coverage. Purple lovers NEED this beauty.

KBShimmer When Doves Sigh
When Doves Sigh is a soft Grey crelly, packed full of micro Twinkle and accented by glitters in varying shapes and sizes in an array of Fuchsia, Aqua, Purple and Blue. This shade is SOOO KBShimmer. She always woks wonders with her Blends of Aquas, Pinks and Purples. I am madly in love with the soft Grey base and how the colors pop against it. I used Three thin coats for full coverage.

I'm hoping to catch up on a bunch of stuff today. My goodness, we are practically Half-way through December and I've not managed to do a single Holiday mani o.O... For shame.. Anywho, I plan on doing some of that today. I also really want to get the amazing KBShimmer Multichromes swatched for you guys. They are seriously mind-blowing. I'm actually doing a mini vid for all of them to show the amazing shift as no amount of photos would do them justice.

Don't forget that my KBShimmer Blogger Holiday Collection giveaway is still going until Midnight EST tomorrow. Good luck and thank you to everyone participating!!!

I really love all of these so much. Kringle All the Way and Snow Flaking Way definitely have stolen my heart. Any faves here?

Zoya for Rolando Santana Nail Polish Trio Nail Art Look

(**press samples**)
Good morning and happy Thursday!!

Today I want to share this simple, yet eye-catching look I did using the Three shades that Zoya created for the Rolando Santana Spring/Summer 2014 line. The clothing line itself was inspired by the amazing Frida Kahlo (who I am only slightly obsessed with). These Three shades were created by Zoya and R. Santana to compliment the clothing line itself.
Saldy, I can't seem to find these for sale anywhere. The trio itself was a LE release. That said, Zoya has been known to add some of their special releases to seasonal collections. So, don't worry just yet. And if you guys are really, REALLY feeling these; you can let Zoya know on their FB page!! With that in mind though, I will be doing some comparisons for you guys. These shades are beautiful, and the formulas are perfection on all Three shades. However, they are not extremely unique and I think some older (still available) Zoya shades could be very comparable.
My initial reaction to this trio was a bit cold. I liked the shades, but was having a hard time figuring out what I wanted to "do" with them. Then it came to me.. Mash em into a look!!! Separately, they did not do much for me.. Now, bring Maria, Natasha and Sara together; and you have one epic mani!
Zoya Sara, Maria and Natasha photo DSCN2905_zpsd372f5d1.jpg
For this look I started with a base of Natasha, Two coats. She is a beautiful shade of "foundation Beige". I cannot come up with a better description. I think if this polish was a foundation instead, it would in fact match my skin tone. I was convinced I would be completely indifferent to Natasha, but it was quite the opposite. She is chic and flattering, without trying too hard. Once my base color was dry I used a cosmetic sponge to create a gradient effect with Natasha and Maria. Maria is a classic shade of medium Red-toned Purple creme with slight Pink undertones. Let me tell you guys about how much I ADORED the Nude to Purple gradient. Something about this look was tickling my pickle.
I then added a coat of INM Northern Lights over my gradient and finished the look off by adding a dotted gradient over my gradient using Sara. Sara is a warm and Sunny shade of creamy Yellow. I was loving the finished look so much, I am already planing on re- creating the same look, in different colors for this weekend. But who knows, I might do them in these exact same colors. I really do love the finished look. Separately, these three shades are classically pretty... But together they are epically chic! I finished my whole look off with a coat of Seche Vite.

Because I loved my Natasha and Maria sparkling gradient so much, here is a pic sans Sara dots. This looked so painfully awesome in person. Now I want to try nude to color gradients with every color combo I can think of. I didn't build the Purple up to it's "full potential" because I wanted the gradient to look airbrushed and almost like a blush on my nails. I'm so stoked on how it turned out.
Zoya Maria and Natasha photo DSCN2885_zpsf9ac4198.jpg

And for shigs, here are Two easy and effortless coats of Natasha. Even my mom commented on how much she loved this color, and she is not a nail gal. The funny thing about shades like Natasha, is that I'm always convinced I will hate them on me.. Then I get them on me and I just ADORE them. I think this shade will work on so many gals!
Zoya Natasha photo DSCN2523_zps8a4e049e.jpg

I'm really sorry it took me so long to get around to this amazing trio. I really do hope that Zoya adds them to future releases because I think many gals will enjoy these shades. But, as I said at the beginning of the post, I may be able to find some close cousins to these Three pretties.
Where you able to grab this trio when it was originally released? What are your thoughts on these Three pretties?
