Delush Polish Essence of Summer Collection Swatches & Brand Announcement

(**Press Samples**)
Hi hello and happy Tuesday!

I hope everyone had a fun weekend! Mine was a bit rainy, but nice non the less. Summer is coming on reeeeal strong in South Florida right now, so I definitely welcome a bit of cool rain :D. Speaking of rain, it is pouring as I type this right now.... Ahhh Summer.
And speaking of Summer, Delush recently released a new collection for the season that is completely perfect. Allow me to introduce the Essence of Summer Collection by Delush Polish. This release consists of Eight shimmery beauties, each as beautiful as the last.

Some other exciting things happening with Delush Polish is that the brand has announced a new Rewards Program where you can earn points from your purchases.

To see close up shots of these shimmering Summer beauties and read my thoughts on them, just continue reading after the jump ♥.

I don't want to repeat myself a ton so I want to talk about the formula first since they all had fairly identical formulas and application. I didn't run into a single "problem color" here. All of these pretties are practically made up of only shimmer and yet the formulas are perfectly pigmented, smooth and even. I used Three thin coats for all my swatches. These have a really good dry time. That said, they dry a little bit satin-matte so a top coat is a must to really make them sparkle. Though, I kinda dig the satin finish too.

Delush Polish Bombshell- Bombshell is a classic shade of vivid bubblegum pink. What makes this shade stand out is a beautiful hint of subtle blue shimmer running through it. I would not say the blue shimmer is obvious enough to call it a duochrome, but it definitely stands out and gives the pink base an interesting finish.
darn cat hair :-\.
Delush Polish Brazen- Brazen is probably my favorite shade in this release. She is a beautiful peachy shimmer with a hint of subtle green shimmer. I love the contrast of the yummy peachy base and the contrasting green sparkle.

Delush Polish It's About Thames- It's About Thames is a shimmering sky blue with subtle green shimmer running through it. This shade is such a classic for the summer months.

Delush Polish Orchid Situation- Orchid Situation is Delush's take on the pantone color of the year, Radiant Orchid. Which, honestly I don't love a whole lot..... That said, this take on it is one of the prettiest I've seen so far thanks to that interesting green shimmer perfectly blended in with the soft purple base.

Delush Polish Shake Your Teal Feather- This shade is an adorable aqua shimmering shade with a contrasting soft pink shimmer. This is another shade that is really doing it for me. I love the softness of it, I love the formula and I love that soft pink flash on the surface.

Delush Polish Swans Upon a Time- This shade is a beautiful opaque white shimmer with a soft pink flash. I was so surprised with this particular color. The formula was perfect and the shimmer shows up so beautifully.

Delush Polish You Glow Girl!- This shade is a bit of Sunshine in a cute little bottle. You Glow Girl! is a fantastic "primary" yellow with a contrasting pinky shimmer. I LOVE THIS YELLOW. I love how it sparkles. I love that it was not a pain to apply and I love that I can actually pull it off!

Delush Polish Indulgence- This shade is a super rich magenta pink with a hint of violet shimmer. This pretty has the most saturated of the formulas and could do with two coats. I still used three coats for an intense sparkle. This is another classic shade that looks great on al skin tones.

Overall, I really love this collection. I love the range of colors she covered and the contrasting shimmer theme through out all the colors. I only wish there was a green in there somewhere. That said, I love that there are some "pastel" shimmers and some more vivid ones. I love that she did classic and unique. There is a bit for everyone here.
The Essence of Summer collection is available now from www.delushpolish.com and retail for $8.95 for full sized bottles and $4.50 for minis.

My faves would have to be Brazen, You Glow Girl!, Shake Your Teal Feather  and Bombshell. Which ones are you loving most?

  11. The baby pink and white shade are my favorite, I actually love how the blue shimmer in the baby pink is still subtle and not overpowering :-).
