Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eye Shadows

(**Press Samples**)

Happy Tuesday! Today I am so excited to share my swatches and thoughts on this new line of eye products from my beloved Milani. Say hello to the new Bella Eyes Gel Powder eye Shadow collection. For this release Milani has created 30 new beautiful eye shadows ranging from gorgeous neutrals to striking metallics and beautiful brights with the most wonderful gel-powder formula. To see swatches and find out more about these beauties keep on reading!
These have such an incredible and unique formula. At first glance they don't look like they would be super smooth or easy to work with, but that is simply not the case. I'm not sure what kind of sorcery makes these up but they feel perfectly creamy yet blend like the most buttery smooth powder. All of these shades have amazing pigmentation and not a single one is patchy. My favorite part about these is that I experience absolutely NO fallout of shimmer or pigment as I apply them.
Something that jumped out at me is how when arranged in Milani numerical order, every six shades make an amazing palette. The colors perfectly coordinate and make it easy to create stunning looks. These pretties do best when applied over a primer. All of my swatches are shown over the Milani eye shadow primer.
All of these shades have such an amazing application. I found that "stiffer" brushes do best for picking up the product. I tend to lean on my Real Techniques brushes when I want to play with these.. Fingers also work well in some cases.
There is such a perfect range of colors in this product line. There is something for every one here. I really have nothing bad to say about a single color in this release. I really do find every single color in this product line to be just beautiful. I also love that they did a mix of metallic, satin and shimmering finishes.
I am really appreciative of shades such as Bella Gold, Bella Copper and Bella Bronze. Shades like those are such a go-to for me, they are my comfort zone. Also.. I mean... just look at them! The metallic shades really just glow.
Overall, I cannot rave enough about these eyeshadows. I think they will make an excellent addition to any makeup lover's stash. I also feel like these would be great for gals who are not extremely comfortable with eyeshadows. They are just SO easy to work with and the colors play so well together.
These are available now at CVS and the Milani Website. They currently retail on the Milani site for for $3.99 per shade. This is an introductory price until October 1st, at which point they will be $4.49. I've been informed by a reader that at CVS these are $4.49. That is still SUCH a steal for these amazing little compacts of magical color goodness.

If you are not in the USA I cannot say how easy these will be to purchase as Milani is pretty much exclusive to the states. I'm not sure if anyone ships Milani internationally or if they will be carrying these.

Which are your faves? Did you pick any of these up?

  1. Wow! Very pretty colors and the application sounds intriguing! Do you know if Milani sports the Cruelty-free Bunny (no animal testing) on its labeling? And do the ingredients have any parabens in them? I would be very interested in trying these, but those 2 things are my criteria.

  15. I read that these actually do not depot well. Apparently they kinda crumble. That is the only downside to these pretties :(.

  16. The wear on me has been amazing. I did prep my lid with an eyeshadow primer, to ensure good wear and no creasing. But seriously though, I am really impressed with the staying power and vibrancy of these even after many hours of wear.

  17. Anyone know how a Canadian can get their hands on these?

  18. You can order them from milanicosmetics.com! There only 3.99 on the website!
You can also order them from beautyjoint.com or like $7 and other wholesaler places!
I'm from Canada and also can't find them anywhere! I'd debating order them online!

  19. How much are they regular price on the website?

  20. Thanks Krystal! I placed an order this morning directly with Milani. I think coupon code BELLACOBALT gave me 10% off. While it wasn't much, it did help counter the heavy shipping charges. Fingers crossed I don't get hit with duties!

  21. I've been doing surveys online and the reward is CVSS gift cards and I am slowly building my collection of these. I'm up to 5 so far. It's especially helpful when they do Milani BOGO 1/2 off. They are all incredibly pretty!
