Pink Wednesday!! Wet 'n' Wild Dreamy Poppy goes Tween

Good Morning loves and happy Pink Wednesday!

Been a while huh?! I had been really wanting to do a Pink Wednesday for some time and now that I am finally adjusted to my work schedule, got myself organized and my shiz together I was able to come up with a Tweeny design using stamping plate DRK-A and a cute Wet 'n' Wild shade. I love cute and playful manis like this one. While the look is very "young"... I could care less. Someday I let my inner 13- year old shine through my nails.

For this look I started with Two effortless coats of Dreamy Poppy. I stamped using several designs from Brazilian plate DRK-A in Konad SP. This did not turn out as clean and neat as I envisioned because I am still working out the kinks on stamping with my Brazilian plate. All the images stamp a little differently and I am finding out as I go how they all work, I LOVE the star stamp so much! The girly Skully design actually stamped a lot better on my right hand when I applied less pressure. I still like this fun and edgy look.

Wet 'n' Wild Dreamy Poppy

Dreamy Poppy is a super fun and cute hot Pink. Very basic shade but I still love it! This color has an amazing formula! It practically applies itself!

Design-Seeds Inspired Nail Art Series: Hummingbird Hues Watermarble

HI loves!

Sooo!! Today I will be starting a little series that will go on pretty much indefinitely. Thanks to the amazing Steph from Imperfectly Painted I have become completely obsessed with Design Seeds. I have literally spent hours just going through all the amazing color palettes and getting so many ideas and so much inspiration. I could not help but want to make a series out of all the manicures I want to do based on these color boards.

For this first manicure I was inspired by the awesome contrast in the Hummingbird Hues palette. I love the unexpected mix of colors but how perfectly they all go with each other.

For this marble I started with a One coat base of Milani White on the Spot. For the marble I used all Bettina Colors. They are: #187(Magenta), #197(Grey), Stiletto(Nude), Green, Indigo, Sand Blast(Light , almost White Grey). I ended up wearing this mani for a very long time. This was also only the Second time I have watermarbled all 10 nails! I felt so accomplished and could not stop staring at my pretty marbled nails. I topped it all off with some Seche Vite and INM Northern Lights.

Just for fun here is the palette that inspired this color combination.

Muffin Monday!! Barielle Blackened Bleu

Good Morning and happy Muffin Monday!

It's been so long since Muffin has made an appearance around here, I figured it was time for her to come back. She picked me an AMAZING shade by Barielle. I just got this pretty not too long ago along with Two other shades by Barielle that I will be showing you soon.

For this look I started with Three coats of Barielle Blackened Bleu. I then stamped using plate DRK-A, which I plan on telling you guys about soon. I've just been incredibly busy. Anywho, for the stamping I used Nfu.Oh #61 and topped it all off with some Seche Vite. I love the nice clean look of this manicure and the edgy bit the Holo dots add. I took the pics pre-top coat because the holographic effect is stronger that way.

Love love love!!!

Barielle Blackened Bleu

This nail polish is stunning. I was fully prepared for the formula on Blackened Bleu to be horrific but it was actually pretty decent for being one of these notorious Blackened shades. It seems colors like these are not usually the easiest to work with. This amazing beauty is, you guessed it. a Blackened Blue shimmer. It has a lot of depth and a slight duochrome from Deep Blue to Deep Purple and some hints of Teal. In these pictures I have Three thin coats of color and no top coat. I'd like to wear this layered over a Black base next time.

Milani Key West

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Sorry I don't have a spam post for you guys today. I did not have time during this week to do much plus I had been wearing the same mani since Tuesday because I could not bring myself to take it off. I will be showing you guys this mani very soon, I promise. For today I just have a quick swatch post of a color I used recently as a base for a Jordana glitter. This Milani beauty is part of their Spring 2012 lineup.

So I LOVVVEDDD this in the bottle..... And I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVEEEEEE it on my nails even more. I thought this was going to be a Glassflecky type of finish but when I saw that it was a True Teal foil I just about dropped flat on the ground. This color is bright, happy, clean and Summer in a bottle. The formula is flawless and it is opaque in Two coats. This particular foil has a lot of depth to it and it seems to glow. Milani is really hitting it out of the park this Spring!

What do you guys think? Aren't these some awesome mermaid nails? Uggh! Just love Key West. I love the color and I love the island that inspired the color. Milani has quickly become one of my favorite drugstore brands.

Revlon Royal= Redemption

Hello and happy Friday!!

Today I have a re-swatch of Revlon's Royal. Remember [THIS] post? Turns out the bottle I had initially gotten was a bad bottle. It seemed like all the pigmentation had somehow settled and dried on the bottom of the bottle and no amount of shaking the bottle would make the pigment blend in. Well, I refused to give up on Royal so while I was at Ulta recently I decided to check out their Revlon selection to see if they had Royal available. They did, and lucky me I had naked nails so I did a quick swatch on my pinkie and the color was divine! Basically opaque in one coat... Thus proving to me that my first bottle was just not good....

So, I take back everything I said.... This color is amazing and the formula is really great. What you see here is Two easy coats of Royal. I'm so happy I decided to give this shade another go because I would have been missing out on a serious beauty.

I'm keeping it short and sweet today. I've been dragging out what little swatches I have left to post because I watermarbled my nails the other day and I cannot bear (bare?) to part with my awesome mani! Isn't this just electric!?

Milani Key West and Jordana My Superstar

Happy humpday (although it is actually my Monday :-s)!!

Today I have some amazing mermaid inspired nails. Yes, again trolllolololo! Problem? I hope not because I am just obsessed with mermaids and anything that reminds me of them. But you guys already knew that... This look features a new foil finish color by Milani and a new glitter by Jordana (which I am totally obsessed with right now!).
This look got so many compliments, that always makes me feel awesome. A lot of girls forget that nails are the ultimate fashion accessory! Me? Personally, I suck at accessorizing. I usually just slap on a necklace, some stud earrings and sometimes a bracelet. I tend to keep things really clean and simple because I am always scared of over- doing it.... But I never have to worry about that dilemma with my nails. I go crazy! I will try any color in any finish and I will rock the shiz out of it... Well these nails were causing quite a stir and it reminded that I had not been having nearly enough fun with my nails recently.... It is as simple as this guys!

These looked like a mermaids tail with gems all over it. The base color is Milani Key West which is a beyond stunning Teal Foil. It is not a dupe of any color I own. I will have a post on Key West later in the week, along with some more Milani swatches. I've really been wanting to play with glitter lately. But I want to steer clear of the obvious combinations. What would have been the clear choice to layer over Key West? Blues, Purples, Greens? Right? I went the complete opposite direction and used My Superstar by Jordana. This glitter is part of their new specialty glitter collection. My Superstar is a mix of Yellow-Gold hexes and small bits that make up "the base" in there you also have Red Hexes and Light Blue Hexes. This is an amazing glitter. I did 1 1/2 coats of glitter over Key West. It looked like an underwater party and I was loving every second of it!

The Yellow- Gold glitters were just bouncing off my nails and the Red really drew the eyes to my shiny tips. These were soo much fun to wear!

Jordana Copper Blaze makes Fantasy Fire even Better- Hunger Games Inspired Mani

Happy V-day everyone!

So I pretty much forgot about Valentine's Day.... I'm not very good at the whole Holiday themed mani thing unless it is Christmas. The funny thing is, I always tell myself that I will try to do at least one Holiday themed mani for whatever Holiday is coming up and I always forget until it's too late. SOOOOO, instead of a Valentines mani I decided to show you guys and updated look I did with Fantasy Fire and Jordana Glitter in Copper Blaze.

I'm currently balls- deep in "The Hunger Games" series. I really want to have them read before the movie comes out in March. This would be the first time I've read the book before seeing the movie and my inner geek is excited to sit there and play spot- the - difference haha. So for this look I was inspired by the flaming costumes Katniss and Peeta wear during the Tribute intro ceremony.

The girl with Nails on fire! I had been wearing Fantasy Fire for a few days at this point and I had just the teensiest bit of tip wear but I was not ready to part with such a beauty so I went over to my table. My table currently has about 30 bottles of Glitters! Glitters I plan on doing a little series with, starting with this mani lol.. So anyways, I kept gravitating to the obvious choices of Blue, Purples glitters to mix with the base of Fantasy Fire.... And then there it was like a shining beacon lol. Jordana's Copper Blaze and I was all like OMFGYES! So I grabbed my sponge and did a gradient on my tips for a play on the Copper flashes in Fantasy Fire. The final effect is amazing fiery nails with a twist. The combination of the copper glitter against the deep Navy- Violet- Copper blaze is just so unique and stunning. I got quite a few comments on this look.

So I was pretty much mortified to take this off. I wanted to take it off and put it right back on again. Copper Blaze is such a fun and unique glitter that I cannot wait to use it more. It really screams Fall to me and I can see so many cute manis with this amazing glitter. I hope you guys like this "Hunger Games" inspired mani as much as I do!

MaxFactor Fantasy Fire

Hi loves!!

So today's post is some epic epicness. The second I saw a swatch of this beauty I knew I just had to have it. The only issue? It is only availbale in the UK. Enter the lovely Joanne from Northern Nails. We did a swapity swap and my polish life was completed. I know I'll never shell out the money for Clarins 230, but now that I have Fantasy Fire I don't feel like I am missing out on something really special.

So for this layering I started with Two coats of Revlon Royal. I could not bring myself to do Two coats of Fantasy Fire because it is a very small bottle and I don't want to run out of this pretty! So I ended up doing only one coat of FF over Royal but the effect was really strong and noticeable so I was happy with it. I think this is one of the most amazing polishes I've ever seen. The combination of Royal anf FF is just perfection.

Sunday Spam!! Milani High Speed- Fast Dry Colors

Happy Sunday loves!!

This Sunday Spam will be a Milani edition. These are their Spring 2012 High Speed nail colors. These are all super saturated cremes that apply like a dream. While the bottle says that they are One coat formulas, I did Two coats for full opacity and smoothness of the surface. The brushes on these polishes is AMAZING. It reminds me of a less dense O.P.I brush. These were all amazing to work with and I think they will also be great to use for stamping. Onto the Spam!!

With the exception of Yellow Whiznthese were all Two coats of effotless color. These were all photographed without a base or top coat. All of these colors have excellent, buttery smooth formulas and great for those days when you are in a rush.

Milani Yellow Whiz

Yellow Whiz is an awesome Primary Yellow creme. Very basic color but with a GREAT formula. This color did best for me with Three thin coats. For a Yellow, this polish could not have a better formula. I am super impressed! I actually really like how this looks on me. It's very fun and Summery.

Milani White on the Spot

White on the Spot is your basic White creme. Great application and opaque in Two easy coats. I really love nice, clean shades of White.

Milani Jiffy Orange

Jiffy Orange is a bright and Bold shade of Orange creme. Really summery and with a great application.

Milani Fast Fuchsia

Fast Fuchsia is very true to its name. This one is a lovely shade of Spring Fuchsia. Not much else to say here. Just a really pretty color.

Milani Rapid Cherry

Rapid Cherry is a Blue toned Red. Very candy-like and super saturated. I really like Reds like this one a lot. It's very pinuppy and sexy.

Milani Violet Dash

This one is a medium Red toned Purple. Violet Dash is your basic pretty Purple creme.

Milani Black Swift

Basic Black creme. That is all there is to this one. It applies like a dream and is perfect in Two easy coats.

Milani Pink Frenzy

Hot, Hot Red toned Pink creme with just a hint of subtle Pink shimmer. This is the only shade in the collection with a slight hint of shimmer, the rest are cremes. This color is so fresh and Spring perfect I did not want to take it off. Amazing two coat formula.

So, it is not that these do not look good at just One coat, most of them could really be One coaters. I just prefer the look of Two coats much better. These all have an amazing formula and will be great for gals who don't have much patience when it comes to doing their nails. These do dry pretty fast as well. While they are all pretty basic colors in a basic creme finish, they are great colors to have. I have a feeling these will be used for nail art quite a lot.

Spring Pastels done Right by Milani

Good Morning my loves!

Today I continue my Milani Mini series with Four more of their new Spring 2012 releases. These Four Spring pastels have a little something special going on. There is nothing plain or boring about these shades. They are fresh, girly and just super pretty! Shall I get on with it?

All of these swatches were done without a base or top coat. These all applies really great for me. Once again the brush was perfection and I could not be happier with these colors.

Milani Beach Front

This is the most beautiful shade of Sky Blue creamy shimmer. The Silvery/ Light Blue shimmer in this is a very fine glassfleck and it gives this color insane depth. I've heard that the formula on this one can be a bit thick and problematic but mine went on like butter. I only needed Two coats of Beach Front for opaque color. This is not even close to being a dupe of any other of the shimmery Blues that have come out this Spring. This is cleaner, Bluer and it does not have Gold shimmer.

Milani Juno

This is a lovely shade of Carnation Pink creme with a Pink flash running through it a la Cult Nails Cruisin' Nude. I LOVE shades like these. Many may find it boring or predictable but shades like this make me feel girly and sort of dainty. This color has a pretty good formula but it does best when applied in Three thin coats.

Milani Orchidia

OMG!!! Holy wow! This medium Red toned Purple creme stands out with its amazing Lavender/ Blue micro glassfleck shimmer. This color is perfect. That is all there is to it. The formula is perfection and I'm pretty sure anyone can pull off this shade. I think this will be my new go to Purple... It is quite a possibility.

Milani Mint Candy

Yummy, yummy Teal shimmery awesomeness. This color is so interesting and beautiful. I love how the shimmer looks like it is floating on the creamy teal surface. This color went on like butter and didn't even require any clean up. Two easy coats of Mint Candy is all it takes for awesome Spring nails.

These are awesome. End of story :D. Great formulas, great shades and great finishes. I love that these are unique but right on trend for the Spring season. I think I will be wearing these quite a lot this coming months. I am pretty certain these are already out in stores. I cannot choose a favorite because all Four of these colors are just my thing!

Rich Shades for Spring 2012 from Milani

Today I will be showing you Three shades from Milani's new Spring 2012 Line-up. I actually have a mini- Milani series coming your way. These shades are staple colors. They are really pretty but for me, a bit safe. Of course in every new line-up of colors you have to have your standard colors. I am vowing as of now to give my Milani's more love. Every time I wear a Milani polish I remember how awesome their polishes are....

These have AMAZING formulas. They all practically applied themselves. They were all Two coats each and done without base or top coat. The brushes on Milani polishes are just perfection. I ♥ Milani.

Milani Teddy Brown

Teddy Brown is a nice Smokey Taupe creme. This is a very neutral and safe color. You really can't go wrong with shades like this one. It wears nicely and it flatters very much. This dries a lot Greyer on the nail that what it looks like on the bottle due to the swirl of Smokey color.

Milani Deep Thoughts

Mmmmmm This deep Plum shimmer is just AWESOME and done lol.... I love this because it looks like what I thought O.P.I's Russian Navy would look like on the nail. It is a deep Eggplant shimmer with a flash of Magenta shimmer. This color has a super saturated formula and it applies like butter. As far as Spring "vamps" go.... This one is much better than Vampsterdam by O.P.I.

Milani Dark Coffee

I don't like Brown. That said Dark Coffee is a great shade of Brown for those who love Brown to have. It is a nice clean shade of Milk Chocolate Brown. It looks really nice on, but Brown is just not my thing.

That is today's Milani pretties. Tomorrow I have some BEAUTIFUL shades coming your way. Not that these are not pretty, because they are.. They are just too grown up for my mood today. I am crushing hard on Milani right now!!

China Glaze Electropop Collection- The Lights- ish

Morning ya'll!

So I kinda messed up the Brights and the Lights portions of this collection. Today I will be showing you "The Lights" half of Electropop. Basically, the other Six colors that I did not show you yesterday. I flippin love these colors. I love this entire collection. All of the colors compliment each other and they just beg to be played with. I think I will be reaching for these quite a bit this Spring/ Summer season.

China Glaze Dance Baby

Yummy yummy Spring Pink. This pretty creamy shade of Pink has just a touch of Blue that makes it a nice, clean shade of Pink. It is not super in-your-face but it does catch your eye. It is one of my favorites from this half because I love Orchid Pinks. The formula on this color is pretty good but it does best when applied in Three thin coats.

China Glaze Wicked Style

Wicked Style is a very hot Pink, leaning Red. This color is seriously HOT. I want this on my toes like Three months ago. The formula on this color is very saturated and smooth. I used Two coats of color here.

China Glaze Sweet Hook

Sweet Hoot hits my sweet spot just right. I cannot get enough of these amazing Lilac shades. This one was leaning just a little bit Pink on me IRL and it was just lovely. This color is just so airy and Springy perfection. The formula on this color is really good and it is opaque in Two coats. Wait between coats to prevent dragging.

China Glaze Electric Beat

Electric Beat reminds me of a brighter, lighter and cleaner version of Secret Peri-wink-le. I really love this color. It is soothing and flattering. Colors like this really catch my eye and they just make me go "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh". Great, Two coat formula.

China Glaze Kinetic Candy

Kinetic Candy is like a Bluer Re-fresh Mint. I REALLY love this one. I am a sucker for any type of bridal Blue and this one is no exception. This is like a Bridal Blue with a drop of Green. Just ... !!!!... Awesome! The formula on this color is a little tricky and you should really wait between coats with this one as well. It only takes Two coats if you are careful.

China Glaze Make Some Noise

This one is actually closer to what it looks like in the bottle than on my nails. For some reason it was pulling pretty Orange against my skin tone. Make Some Noise is a Coraly- Red- Pink creme-jelly. This color has a great Two coat formula. Really fun shade.

So Like I said... I love theseee!!! They are just soo fun! The formulas are pretty good. Some are tricky but with patience they become beautiful. These colors are refreshing, bright and cheery. In other words, everything a Spring Collection should be. China Glaze is really off to a great start with this collection.

Good morning loves!!

You may have noticed that lately my posting has become a bit "erratic". This is mainly because I'm working like crazy and I don't get home until pretty late in the night. I also have my awesome Mr. LTHP to spend time with and that is VERY important!! So I will still be posting daily, it just probably will not be at the same time every day. I'm sorry to all my lovelies who are used to reading at a certain time. I will try as often as possible to post in the morning but I cannot promise anything.

So for today I have the First half of China Glaze's Electropop Spring 2012 Collection. I decided to start of with The Brights portion of the collection.

China Glaze Gaga for Green

Gaga for Green is a beautiful shade of Green Apple... Green! This color is fresh, clean and so happy. The formula on this one is just awesome. This color is in one of my favorite finishes, a creme- jelly. This color is perfect in Two coats and it is VERY shiny. This is a great Spring shade.

China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic

Fuchsia Fanatic is very much true to its name. This pretty creme is the quintessential shade of Fuchsia. This shade is hot, bright and super flattering. The formula on this color is very saturated and very easy to work with. Fuchsia Fanatic goes opaque in Two coats. I wish I would have had this color back in November for my besties wedding!

China Glaze Gothic Lolita

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My undisputed favorite in this entire collection, Gothic Lolita could not be prettier. This color has one of the most amazing creamy- shimmer combinations I've ever seen. I'll just let the pictures do the talking here.... Could this be the new No Way Jose? Formula is a teensy bit thick but not bad. Two coats of color.

China Glaze Aquadelic

Aquadelic is For Audrey's brighter, cleaner and slightly Greener cousin. This color is freaking amazing. I probably have like 15 other shades similar to this but I could care less.... I LOVE these types of Blues. The formula on this one is not bad. It is a little thick and it takes a light, steady and patient hand. Aquadelic does not really like to settle well so take your time with this one, Two coats.

China Glaze Sunshine Pop

Sunshine Pop is a very primary Yellow with a Silvery-Pearly shimmer in it... A lot of people have had an indifferent reaction to this shade and I was fully prepared to hate it but... I.Love.it! I managed to get the shimmer to give the surface a pearly look with careful application and it looked awesome. I'm glad to see a company doing a nice Yellow for Spring. Seems there has been a lot of shimmery Blues and Purples from everyone else. This color has a great formula and does best when applied in Three thin coats.

China Glaze Techo over Gaga for Green

Techno is not a new color in the China Glaze line- up. This is new to me though. I really love glitters like this one. For these swatches I dabbed the brush on the nail first and then spread the glitter around to get the most hexes possible on the surface of my nails. LOOOOOVEEE!!!

China Glaze Techno over Fuchsia Fanatic

Yes and YES!

So... what do you guys think. I think these are Flippin Sweet!!! I love me some good creamy colors and creamy shimmers. The glitter is a ton of fun and they are not kidding with The Brightness :D. These colors really put a smile on my face and like I said I am actually happy to see a Yellow for Spring. All these colors have a really good formula. I cannot wait to try The Lights portion of this collection now! I don't think I can choose favorites because I love them all so much! Well... Maybe Gothic Lolita...

Lynnderella Love Potion No. 99

That.is.all. Thank you to the very lovely Bethany S. for sharing this amazing beauty with me. Purple, glitter perfection. This Lynn was another RAOK from one of my amazing and lovely readers. That is all there is to this unique and outstanding Lynn creation. I can't even ramble much today because I am still in awe of this beauty.

Um.... Wow.... That is all.... I mean seriously?!!!

For this look I started with One coat of China Glaze Gothic Lolita. This color turned out to be the perfect base for Lynn's Love Potion No. 99. This Lynn pretty is a Purple jelly base packed full of different shaped and sized Purple glitters with a slight sprinkling of Magenta glitters and smaller holographic particles to fill it all in. I did Two coats of LPN99 over Gothic Lolita. I could not stop staring at my hands...

This shade of Purple glitter is just electric. It is bright, bold and just stunning!!!!! There is such insane depth to this glitter. It reminds me of the cool fishies you might see in a salt water fish tank.

I wore this for about Five days lol.. That is UNHEARD OF in my world loool! I just could not bring myself to take this beauty off... I mean.. Would you?!

Lynnderella Mercurial

Hi loves and happy Sunday!

Today's post is my very first Lynderella ever and a total random act of kindness. See.. Sometime ago I had posted on LTHP's Facebook about how someday I would have a Lynn polish and my life would be complete then. Well to my surprise TWO lovely, amazing readers responded to my post offering to send me extra Lynn's they had and I was so touched. I mean... I knew polish people were nice and awesome but this took the polished cake... Girls were willing to make my month by sending me an amazing and hard to find polish just because they like my blog.. That is crazy to me.. And SOOO sweet and just awesome! Like seriously... Marnie and Bethany: You guys are the bomb and I hope you are reading :D. I am sooo grateful for this RAOK!

Today I will be showing you Lynn's Mercurial. This pretty made it's way to me thanks to the very lovely Marnie S. I cannot wait to wear this again.

I am not %100 happy with how this looks.. Mainly because I am convinced that I picked an awful base color for Mercurial. I think the color I used matched the glitters and the base color of Mercurial too closely and it did not make the glitters pop against the base.

The look is cool non-the-less. Mercurial is a very complex color. It is a mix of different sized and shaped Graphite glitters as well as some Lavender Hex glitters all floating in a a shimmery Gunmetal Grey base. The base also seems to have some flashes of Teal coming through. For this I started with One coat of Bettina's Secret and then added Two coats of Mercurial. I think it would have also looked better with only one coat of Mercurial instead of Two. This is a bumpy glitter and it takes Two decent coats of TC to smooth it out. As much as the combo did not wow me, I still found myself staring at my hands constantly because of all the different glitters.

I keep reading that Purple is a good color to layer this over so I think I will try that next time....

SO... My polished life is pretty much complete at this point. I own Two Lynns and Max Factor's Fantasy Fire... I don't think I will be buying any polishes any time soon... hhhmmmmm....

O.P.I Super Bass Shatter- Nicki minaj Collection

Hi my loves!!

This will be another one of my quickie posts. I wanted to show you Super Bass on it's own post because I did some different looks for each color. So... By this point I think we all pretty much shattered/ craked out, right? At least I know I am... But Super Bass is really something else, especially when paired with the colors from Nicki's Collection.

I decided against layering Super Bass over the glitters in the collection because I just do not like how those combinations look. Instead I will only be showing Super Bass over the cremes.

Super Bass over Fly. LOOOVE this combo. For this one I applied a slightly thick coat of the shatter in a regular motion.

Super Bass and Did it on 'em. For this I was trying out something new. I wanted to dot with the shatter because I had never tried it before. I went for a lizard-y skin type of look with this one... I've read this on other blogs... Remember Reptar? From The Rugrats... Yeah... Doesn't this remind you of him?! Memories!! hahaha

And finally Super Bass over Pink Friday. For this one I applies a thin coat of shatter in a wavy motion. I wore this for a few day and really loved how it looks like Pink and Purple Granite.

I'm pretty much done with the whole shatter thing but I really like this one a lot. It seems the shade of Purple varies depending on the base color but it always remains a beautiful shade of shimmery Grape-y Purple.

O.P.I Nicki Minaj Collection Swatches

Today's post will be REALLY quick because guess what?? It is really late, I am really tired and I am pretty much ready to be done for the night lol. So here we go.. Nicki Minaj for O.P.I.

SO you are probably wondering where Super Bass Shatter is... I will show you guys the shatter layerings on its own post. For now please enjoy the cremes and glitters.

Pink Friday is an awesome bubblegum shade of Pink. It is rather safe considering that this is a Nicki Minaj collection but it is a pretty color non the less. The formula is pretty good but it does take Three coats.

Did it on 'Em is a bright Chartreusey- Lime Green. It is a really interesting color. It kind of reminds me of China Glaze's Electric Pineapple but with more Green. This color has a great formula. This one is also a Three coater.

Fly. This one is a bright Teal creme. It's pretty freakin awesome but I feel like I've seen this color a few times before. This is Nicki Minaj people!!!!! C'mon!! Double on the base coat. Two coat formula.

Save Me. This is a mix of Pink and Blue Holo bar glitters in a clear base with Silver micro glitter packed in. It goes opaque on its own after Three coats.

Metallic 4 Life is a Black Jelly base with small square, small Hex and larger Silver Hex packed in the base. This one goes opaque in Three coats. I really loved this one a lot. I love how the glitter looks like it is drowning in the Black jelly.

Overall, I think this is a cute and fun collection but it feels rather safe and tame for being inspired or put together by Nicki Minaj. I mean, she is out there, crazy and pretty unique. These colors don't really have any of those qualities. I feel like they could have done more with these colors... More glitter? More shimmer? Flakes? Matte finishes? IDK.... Something is missing...

butter LONDON Slapper and Trout Pout- Spring 2012

Good morning loves!!

Today's post is a quickie. I just got these Two BL's in the mamamail and I had to try them like.. STAT. I had been really looking forward to these BL cremes. I've always read wonderful things about butter LONDON cremes and had yet to try one. I have to say that these have some of the best formulas I've ever encountered. I also love how bright and saturated these colors are.

butter LONDON Slapper

Slapper..... How I wish this color would photograph accurately... It is quite a bit Greener and not quite this Blue. It is, however, this BRIGHT. This color borders on being a Turqoise neon, but it is not a neon. The formula for Slapper is just stunning. This color practically applies itself. Uuummm... Go ahead and double up on the baecoat before putting on this pretty. I love these bright Spring Teals that seem to be hitting the scene for Spring. This color is opaque in Two effortless coats.

butter LONDON Trout Pout

AHHHHHHH OMFGGGGG!!! I.Love.This. Trout Pout is a bright Salmon Pink. This color also borders on neon- like brightness which makes it AWESOME. I don't even know how to put into words how much I love this creme. Even though this color is insanely bright I also found it VERY flattering on my skintone. Great Spring shade. This color is opaque in Two effortless coats.

I flippin' love the names of the colors in this collection. I love how they border on being offensive because that is just my kind of humor. I'm neither a Slapper nor a Trout Pout but I can promise you that I will be rocking the SHIZ out of these colors!

O.P.I Holland Collection- The Shimmers

Good Morning lovelies!!

Today I have the Second Half of O.P.I's Holland themed Spring Collection. This half is made up of Six absolutely stunning shimmers. There is not one color in this shimmery portion of the collection that I do not love. Honestly, they could have just released these Six colors and this collection would still have been my favorite Spring Collection Released so far. I really love these because they are nice creamy shimmers.

While I love the flash, glitter and brightness of Holiday Collections I always look forward to the soothing Spring shades. O.P.I really hit it out of the park with shimmers that make a statement without losing that airy quality that a good Spring color should have. Bravo O.P.I!

O.P.I Wooden-Shoe like to Know?

Stunning Hot Cocoa creamy shimmer. Normally I would even take a second look at a Brown shade but this pretty is just too stunning to not like. The micro- fine shimmer reminds me of the shimmer in eyeshadows. It actually looks like they took my favorite blush ever, Benefit's Coralista, and mixed it into this colors base. The shimmer seems to flash from Golden to Green to Pink and it is just stunning. Two easy coats.

O.P.I Dutch'ya Just Love O.P.I

A beautiful Red toned Purple creamy shimmer. The shimmer in this is the same shimmer that is flashing through Wooden Shoe Like to Know? I really love how coherent they kept this collection. This is a beautiful shade of Purple and it has an amazing formula. Two coats.

O.P.I Gouda Gouda Two Shoes

I had THE hardest time trying to figure out how to describe this color. It is a dark Peach with some Brown tones? I'm really still not sure. It is kind of an odd shade but I can't help but love it against my skin tone. The shimmer in this pretty is the same type of shimmer flashing through WSLTK? and DJLO. Two easy coats.

O.P.I I Have a Herring Problem

Beautiful Dusty Denim Blue base with some Slight Silvery shimmer as well as the beautiful Golden shimmer mixed in. These next Three colors seem to have an even mix of that beautiful Golden Shimmer and some Silver shimmer as well. I also spotted what appears to be some little dark specks that give the base color a really special touch. Two easy coats.

O.P.I Pedal Faster Suzi

Say hello to my immediate favorite from this ENTIRE collection. I know... How "boring" .... The Pink is my favorite lool.. But seriously this is an amazing shade of Pink. This is the only color that does not seem to have the Golden shimmer that the other shades have but it is packed full of beautiful Silvery shimmer that shifts to Blue and Purple. This Pink also has just the slightest hint of Blue making it an angelic and wearable Pink. This one does best with Three thin coats.

O.P.I I Don't Give a Rotterdam

This one is a similar concept to I Have a Herring Problem. This shade is a lovely Cornflower Blue base with that same stunning mix of Golden and Silver micro shimmer that IHAHP has. This shade also has the same little dark specks in the base that give the color so much depth. This is a stunning shade of Spring Blue. This color also does well with Three thin coats.

Once again... I freaking LOVE the names in this collection. Like... A WHOLE LOT. It must be so fun to be able to sit down and just name colors.... Can you say "dream job"? What can I say that I have not already hinted at in this post? I just love this collection. I love these shimmers because they are right up my alley. Colors like these always get me going... I don't know what it is about them that just draws me in... Maybe it is that nice soft quality they have but they still manage to be interesting thanks to the perfect shimmer. Some people like brights, some like nudes, some like reds.. And I love these!! I have no complaints on the formula on this half of the collection. They are all very consistent and easy to work with. Win!!!!!!

While I am absolutely smitten with Pedal Faster Suzi... I don't think I could pick an absolute fave because these are all just STUNNING! Thoughts?

O.P.I Holland Collection- The Cremes

Good morning!

Today I finally get to start showing you guys O.P.I's Holland inspired Spring Collection. I have to say that this year O.P.I really redeemed themselves. Last year I was really let down by the Texas collection. It just did not seem very coherent to me. This year they did Six beatiful shimmers that left me a little speechless and Six lovely cremes that could brighten anyone's day. I was really excited about this collection from the moment that I saw the very innacurate promo shots.

I've decided to split the collection into Two posts because I am running myself thin trying to keep up with my daily posting and working until very late in the day. Like I've been saying this week, I am still adjusting... So here is the creme portion of The Holland Collection.

O.P.I Did you 'ear about Van Gogh

Lovely "Safari Taupe" creme. This color has a great formula. This full coverage neutral does not have a thick or goopy formula. Seems like a lot of shades in this family have a rather thick formula but that is not the case with this wonderful shade. This color is so flattering and easy to wear. I'm really loving all these Greige tones for the Spring season. Two coats.

O.P.I Thanks a Windmillion!

This muted Jade Green is just beautiful. I cannot get tired with the Greens in this Greyed out, Minty Green family. This color has a great, Two coat formula. Thanks a Windmillion! leans a little more Green than Zoya Bevin.

O.P.I Kiss me on my Tulips

One of the many beautiful Floral tones in this collection. This pretty Magenta Pink creme is to die for! It's bright, it's happy.. .It is Spring in a bottle. This color has an effortless formula and is fully opaque in Two coats.

O.P.I Red Lights Ahead... Where?

This shade is a bright Coral- Red. More Red than Coral and absolutely not for the shy of hands. This is not the best shade for my skin tone but I really like it for pedis. It is a great, bright Poppy shade. This comes off more Summery than Spring but I'll take a bright, obnoxious creme where I can get one. Two easy coats.

O.P.I Vampsterdam

Vampsterdam is a deep Plum with a slight Silvery frosty finish. I am not really feeling this shade much only because I will never like frosty shades. The deep Purple tone itself is stunning, though more Fall than Spring in my eyes. The formula on this one was a little sticky and draggy. It took Three coats and even then I still had some bald spots :(.

O.P.I A Roll in the Hague

This shade is a BRIGHT Orange creme. It refused to photograph properly. While this Orange tone leans just a tiny bit Red, it is not THIS red. It is closer to what it looks like in the bottle. The formula on this shade was a bit sticky and thick. This color is also a BITCH to clean up, so apply it VERY carefully and double up on the base coat.

So I pretty much LOVE the names in this entire collection. These names are so clever, cute and fitting... I wonder... Do they come up with the names first? Or the colors? Either ways they really did a great job naming these colors. I really love these tones. They are really bright and saturated which is always a good thing in my book. I really love the floral inspired tones and I predict they will be on my toes a lot this coming Spring Season. As for the more neutral tones, they are really pretty and always a great staple to have but I'm not hopping on one leg over them.

I'm loving Kiss me on my Tulips like... a whole lot! Which are you loving from this half?

Muffin Monday!! Viridian Vinyl

Good Morning loves and happy Muffin Monday!!

Today I limited Muffin's picks to Orly colors. I feel like I don't give Orly enough love. I also feel like out of all the big brand name brands Orly "Wow's" me the least. I don't know what it is but their colors just feel tired to me. It seems like once in every collection they have a really amazing color and the rest are just ok, to me. I really like their "specialty" collections like the Cosmic FX and the more recent Mineral FX collections. The pretty Muffin picked today comes from their Plastix Collection.

I remember this color being one of my very first lemmings. I could not go on without having this color in my collection and I searched high and low until I found it, that was an awesome day. I could go on and on about my feelings on my older polishes back from when I first started blogging, but this could turn into a very long post. I love being able to look back at colors fondly now hahahah!!

For this look I got to play with a brand new plate that comes from Brazil. I will be doing a full review on it soon but for now please enjoy these SUPER cute stamps. You can check out some sneak peeks of the plate on my Facebook. Just click the Facebook button on the right hand side bar.

So for this look I started with two Thin coats of Viridian Vinyl. Then I applied a coat of Seche Vite to make sure it was really dry before stamping. I stamped using the Brazilian plate DRK-A. Why, yes... Those are the cuttest little stamps you've ever seen! OMG Kittehs playing with Butterflies?!! And little paws!! And cute little doodleflies! Just too much cuteness. I finished it off with Two coats of Hard Candy Mattely In love to give it a Chalkboard look. I love these... End.of.story!

Here is a swatch of Orly's Viridian Vinyl in its original form. The finish on this color is just so cool and the color itself is very pretty as well!

Sunday Spam!! Pink & Black & Blue for You....

Happy Sunday loves!!

For today's Sunday Spam I will be showing you some pretty Pinks, Blacks and Blues. The inspiration for this theme comes from a line in one of my favorite songs. The song is called "Bruises" by The Chairlifts. I will post a video at the bottom of the post. It is the cutest little love song and I can't help but smile whenever it comes on my iPod or Pandora. I have really strange taste in music and find a lot of inspiration from songs. Music is my happy place so it seemed only fitting that I do a Sunday Spam based on one of my favorite songs.

Glitter Gal Frappe

Holographic Blush Pink. This is just so pretty, girly and perfect. This was only Two coats because I was using it as a base for a splatter but it would look better with Three coats.

Zoya Raven

Black creme with the slightest hint of shimmer. Yes, it is a black shimmer, a TRUE Black shimmer. This is Two flawless coats.

Orly Frisky

Yummy- yummy bright clean Blue with just the lightest touch of Green that my camera refuses to capture. Magnificent formula, only Two coats.

NYX Girls Sunshine Pink

I freaking love this soft nudie Pink with it's wonderful eyeshadow- like Golden shimmer. For this I did Three coats but I could have done with Four because my nails are really stained. This color is the best to apply when you are in a rush and want something on your nails.

China Glaze Black Diamond

Technically not Black... BUT Close enough. I really love this deep Gunmetal shimmer. Great formula, does best with Three Thin coats. Very interesting color. I think this will be my base for a certain special glitter I will be wearing very soon!

Chick NP Raven's Egg Blue

Deep Royal Blue shimmer with a very saturated formula. This color could easily be a one coater but I did Two to give it and extra glassy look. This color is so regal! I just love it.

Ulta 3 Pacific Fever- Win of Wins!

Good morning and happy Friday!!

Today I have a lovely Aussie polish from the brand Ulta3. This brand releases some AMAZING colors and I really wish that we got them here in the U.S. I got this pretty thanks to the lovely Carina. I've only worn this once.... WHYYY?!!! As I was applying this color yesterday I kept wondering why this had not been on my nails more than once. I wore these nails last night to a work party along with a pretty Turquoise stones necklace and it looked soo pretty! So, should I stop blabbing now and let you take a peek at this amazing polish?

I did a simple accent on my ring finger nails by layering this simple Silver/ Holo glitter from my duo polish I found at Charlotte Russe. The only thing I hate about the little duo polishes is that there is no good way to store them. One of the ends will always get really goopy fast and that's a bit of a bummer but I can live with it... Nothing some thinner cannot fix.

I really like the simplicity of this look. Pacific Fever is just so stunning it really does not need anything else to compliment it.

And here is a swatch of Pacific Fever. *swoon*... That is all.

This is Three thin coats of Pacific Fever. I love how the shimmer in this color gives the polish a layered look. IRL this is a tad Greener but the photo is not TOO far off from what the color actually looks like. Isn't the shimmer in the photos sooo stunning!?

Good morning lovelies!!

Today's post is a lovely swatch of a lovely color! I'm keeping pretty short and sweet today because once again. It is super late, I am pretty tired and I'm still getting used to having a regular work schedule along with blogging. I didn't realize how much work blogging took until I started my new job. WOW! BUT!! I love my lovelies and I just can't not post. So I went waaaay back into my swatches I had yet to post and I decided on this pretty Jordana Pink creme. I hope you like!

This pretty Pink Bunny has just the perfect touch of Blue in it to take it our of the Easter territory. I actually really love this shade because it is so pretty against my skin tone. It's a nice Bubblegum Pink with a little twist. Two effortless coats.

Have a nice day my loves!! I have a block party at my work later (I work at a Model House in a new development) and I am so excited to do some awesome nails for that!

Chick Nail Polish Mermaid Inspired Mani

Good Morning and Happy Humpday!

I was not in a Pink mood when I came home from work yesterday. Also, I've had this mani in my head for sometime and I felt like I had to do it NOW! I'm keeping things really short today because it is very late, I am very tired and I still need a shower... But these pics should really give you something to stare at... Mr. LTHP and I could not believe how amazing this turned out.

I started with a base of Two coats of Chick NP Raven's Egg. I sponged the tips of my nails in Chick NP All A Twitter. To give the tips some sparkle and a little something extra I lightly sponged all over the Light Blue and somewhat into the Dark Blue with Finger Paints Sparkle TC. I stamped using Red Angel plate RA-111 and Essence Be Optimistic! This light Blue is amazing for stamping! I added some gemstone accents on my Ring Finger and Thumbs. This mani goes back to one of my first layered manis. Some of you may remember [THIS]? I freaking LOVE this!!

The gemstones came from Avon and they were a gift from my lovely M-I-L Cindy. Julie from CNP!! I hope you are reading!! I love this look soo much and your lovely colors inspired the whole thing.

ICING Magnetix Blue-Purple

Good Morning loves!

Today I have for you the second magnetic polish I picked up while I was at ICING this past weekend. This one is the amazing Blue to Purple duochrome magnetic shimmer. This one is quite spectacular. For today's magnetic look I used the wavy design magnet. I got lucky and ended up with one of each kind of magnet. The straight line effect and the wavy line effect magnets. I really like how the Blue looks in the wavy design so I went with that one. These are so much freakin fun!!

Yuumm!!! This looks like waves. My mom has a ring with a Blue gemstone. It is an amazing ring. The blue gemstone is called the Blue Hope Star or something like that. The effect in the stone is similar to this. It's just amazing. This was Two coats of Blue magnetic. I'll just let the pics do the talking now....

Muffin Monday!! ICING Magnetix Gold- Green

Good Morning my loves!

Today is a new day! I have something sooo cool to show you today. This is really Muffin's pick. What happened to the picture you ask? Well my butt forgot I had the picture in my camera still and I accidentally deleted ALL the pictures.... Her choices were Lynderella's Love Potion No. 99, Mercurial and ICING's Blue/Purple, Green/ Gold Magnetix. I was very excited for her to pick ANY of those because they are all incredible polishes in their own rights.

So instead of a pic of Muffin making her pick, I have a picture of Muffin and Truffle's new spot. They literally take turns in it! :D It is too cute for words... So here is this...

So this collection just hit ICING stores. I'm not lucky enough to have an ICING store near me so whenever I take the drive to a mall that has one I make a point of it to stop by. I must admit I was no feeling very optimistic about finding these when I went in because it never seems I have much luck. But.... THERE they were! They only had One of each color and they were right by the cash registers. I only picked up two( I STRONGLY regret not getting all Four). See... These pretties are only $9 and on top of that they were buy One get One Half off. So it was a pretty sweet deal and I realized much too late that I could have gotten Four GREAT magnetic polishes for $27... Which would've been the price of about Two Nails Inc. Magnetic polish at Sephora. I felt kinda dumb... I should have gotten all Four... :(

These are not named :(. This looks like a Tiger's Eye gemstone doesn't it? So I'm going to call it Tiger's Eye. It's an Olive- Gold magnetic where the magnetic particles are the Golden part. To apply these I put down one base coat of this color without placing the magnet on top. I did the magnet portion on the Second coat. I LOVE this. I have not been this amused by a polish in a very long time. The formula is pretty good on these, I have no complaints. The brush was a bit weird but I managed to work around it. This is just beautiful! When first applied it looks a bit weird in color but when the magnet portion is done the true beauty if this polish can be appreciated.

The best part about these to me is that the effect is like a little surprise every time you wear them. They are just so much fun. Now, set aside some time to apply these because you have to do one nail at a time and it's not a suuuper quick process. It is, however, VERY fun! These come with Two different types of magnet toppers. Some create a straight line effect like seen here and some a wavy line. The best way to find out what is what is by holding the magnet up to the bottle and seeing how the lines come out. Check out Jen's post to learn more about the different magnets.

Sunday Spam!! Julep Rant Edition- But they told me I was wearing magnificent robes!

Brace yourselves, the rant I've been holding in for months now is finally come to exist in writing....

Today I have some Julep spam for you guys.... Unfortunately........ Let me just get this off my chest........ I am TOTALLY over Julep as a company... They do some sketchy things and they have really screwed some people over... They don't take criticism well and that has put a ~~bit~~ LOTof a bad taste in my mouth. One of the biggest annoyances(there are several) I have with Julep is their price points. I just don't see their polishes as being worth what they want for them. Especially when the bottles are SO small. Why would I spend $14 on a small bottle of an average Julep polish when I can spend $14 on a FULL SIZED bottle of a mind-blowing Illamasqua polish? Or even better... I can get a $15 Lynderella polish that will make my eyes pop out of my head... That should put it into perspective.... They will probably read this and get mad at me for saying that they are overpriced and just plain aveage or less... Since that is what is seems they do.... You know? Get mad at their customers for speaking the truth.... Not a cute look Julep. Most companies would take their customers feedback and try to improve on the issues that seem to persist. But not Julep... They'll just block you from their FB, delete your comments and pretend it never happened. Seems like the only way to stay on Julep's good side is by kissing their ass and I refuse to do that. Yeah, I went there....

Anyways.. Now that you should be totally not excited to see these swatches.. I figured I might as well show them since I already took my time to swatch them...

Julep Chloe

Chloe is a Black jelly base packed full of micro Purple glitters. Similar to China Glaze Mummy May I? but the glitters in Chloe are much finer. Three coats.

Julep Maggie

Maggie is a Blue toned Amethyst Purple shimmer. Pretty but nothing mindblowing.

Julep Trina

Deep Eggplant with a subtle shimmer. The formula on this color is extremely thick and could benefit from some thinner. Here I used Two coats.

Julep Blake

A Buttery Yellow creme. This one also has quite a thick formula. It is not streaky but it does not settle well and it takes a very patient hand. This one could also benefit from thinner. Two coats.

Julep Holly

Soft Seashell Pink Pearly shimmer. This one is an "underwear polish". What I mean by that is it works well under neons and colors that could use a little something extra underneath to bring out the true color. Two coats.

Julep Cameron

Bright, Hot Pink creme. Nothing unique. THICK formula. Two coats.

Well that is all for today. Sorry this post isn't ending on a more positive note but I thought I'd just get that out there. I felt like I had something to get off my chest, and if I can't do it on my blog, where else can I do it? It's hard to ignore the fact that there are MANY conflicting stories about Julep and their practices. And most issues are issues that could have easily been avoided on Julep's part... The only way I *might* start to put up with Julep is when they start creating colors that are unique, spectacular and WORTH $14. And when they stop it with the pretentious little bottles.... And even then, they better be the most amazing Holos, Magnetics, Flakies or Glitters I've ever seen. And I'm not saying every single collection has to be made up of the most amazing things ever but they have not done ANYTHING unique, new or special. Seems they are always rushing to put out 4 mediocre colors per month. Yeah they might put out more colors that anyone else... But is any of it really that amazing? You tell me... I just do not feel right posting about Julep polishes when so many of my close friends have had so many unwarranted issues with the company. Don't get me wrong, this is not a post about bashing Julep. I am just speaking factually and backing up my point of view. Other than people that receive stuff from them or purchase stuff using credits from referral links, is anyone really, trully happy with Julep? Would you spend $14 on any of these? Needless to say Juleps are no longer a part of my collection.... Time to update The Sheet...

Revlon Whimsical over Orly Frisky

Hello hello!

It's mine!! It is finally mine. I have the best readers in the world and thanks to the help of some bloggy friends this beauty finally made it to me!!! When Deborah Lippmann came out with Glitter in the Air last year I was actually really let down with it. I expected more from it for such an expensive polish... So I passed on it.... However when Revlon did their flawless dupe I could not help but love it.... SOOOO.... Inevitably... I needed it in my collection.

When I posted about Royal not long ago a lot of you got the perception that I hate Revlon polishes. That is just not the case lovelies! I just hate Royal. I have a few other Revlon polishes thatI actually quite love. One of them was even in my top 10 of 2011 :D. Whimsical is a total WIN in my book.

I started with a base of Two coats of the very amazing Orly Frisky. Can I just say how madly in love I am with this combination? I've seen a lot of girls layering Whimsical over soft Blues but I honestly love this even more. The soft, milky Blue base of Whimsical toned down the brightness of Frisky just enough to make this really beautiful. Whimsical does not have the best application as the glitters are very sparse (as was the case with the original version of this color). It is best to dab it on and then spread it on the nail carefully so as not to push all the large Hex glitters to the tips of your nails. I stopped at Two coats because I love the soft and almost angelic look of this combination. I love the Coppery Pink and Light Blue Hexes in this. It's dreamy.... *swoon*

MMMMmmmmm.... That is all!

O.P.I Ya'll Come back Ya' Hear? Glitter- Jelly Sandwich

Good morning loves!!

Yesterday was my first day at work and it went great! I'm really excited about this job. It feels good to have a nice job with normal hours. The people I work with are all really nice as well. That always makes things a lot better :D. I'm super happy!

Today I have my first glitter-jelly sandwich. As a treat to my self for getting this new job I rewarded myself by getting an Orange jelly. What color more perfect than O.P.I's Ya'll Come Back Ya Hear? (which has an amazing formula). I am so IN LOVE with how this turned out. And I also cannot believe that it took me so long to try one of these. They look like some sort of candy or cracked glass marble... LOVE THIS!

I started with Two coats of Ya'll Come Back ya Hear? Then I applied one coat of $OPI Only Gold for Me. I decided that was not blingy or flashy enough so I switched to Milani's Gold FX which really gave me the fish- scale look I wanted. So I "applied" Two coats of Milani Gold FX. I finished off with one more coat of YCBYH? and topped the whole thing off with some Seche Vite for extra shine and to dry all those layers o.O

I'm not looking forward to removal.. But who cares when it looks this awesome! I feel like a fiery mermaid or something. I have soooo many ideas for more glitter-jelly sandwiches. These are a great and easy way to make your nails look fierce and like you put a ton of work into them... YAY!

Revlon Royal= Disappointment

Ugh....

So, I skipped this color when it came out last year.. It got a lot of hype and I thought it was an amazing shade and I loved all the swatch pics I was seeing... I still skipped on it because for some reason it was not singing to me. Not long ago I saw a post that had used this polish and that single post did me in and I had to have Royal. I was all OMFGWOWAMAZING when I saw this swatch pic.... So I ran out and picked up myself a bottle of Royal .....

While the finished result with the Red Angel (plate RA109) stamping in Nfu. OH #61 is really actually quite beautiful.... This base color by Revlon was an absolute nightmare to apply. I needed FOUR.... Yes.. FOUR coats and it was still uneven, streaky and not up to my standards. Thank goodness for stamping and being able to cover up "my sins" with the lacey holographic flowers. There almost an Asian inspired look to it so I'm not mad at the end result...

What I am mad at is this (*points at swatch*)... It just doesn't look as perfect and smooth as I would like.. This really was a PAIN to apply. I've never had a polish be more problematic than Royal. If you are not patient, experienced or.. PATIENT... DO NOT get this color. This color has a streaky, runny almost watery formula.... Not happy with it at all.... I don't even know how this color got some much hype when the formula is such a mess... If only the beauty of the color matched the formula....

Maybe it was just my bottle... But who knows. I don't own many Revlon polishes and this will be the one and only Jelly I ever get from Revlon. This experience was enough to put me off Revlon jellies for the rest of my polish days....

Pink Wednesday!! Edgy Holographic Splatter

Hi hello and happy Pink Wednesday!

I have some wonderful news before we get started with my usual nonsense.... I have a JOB!! A nice office job in real estate at a really nice community. I am so excited about this opportunity and I can't wait to see where it takes me. I am also happy that I will be able to keep my nails looking pretty lol... I know that sounds uber shallow or maybe dumb.. But I am, after all, a nail polish blogger and my nails should be always looking nice right?

For today's post I wanted to play with some of my holographic beauties from Llarowe... I've done lots of creamy splatter manis but I had been wanting to do a holographic one because I though the effect of the sparkle would look so cool. I went for it and I am so happy with the awesome and flashy results!

This is a really simple look. I started with a base of Two coats of Glitter Gal's Frappe. For the splatter I used HITS Atena and Glitter Gal Lizard Belly. I love LOVE love how this looks. Because of the holographic sparkle it almost looks like a watercolor mani. Have you guys seen those yet? They are soo cool and I am dying to try one. I think I will soon. This is quite and edgy and fun look... Holo Splatter! A big win in my book!

Stellare Note is an amazing Blackened Teal with a slight Purple duochrome. It is very oilslick like in color shift and really beautiful and classy. It has a mysterious quality about it. Three coats, great formula.

Essie Pretty Edgy

Yummy grassy Green creme/jelly or as Jen calls them "crellies". This is such a refreshing color. Two effortless coats.

Finger Paints Sparkle Top Coat

I picked this up on clearance not long ago and I am SO glad I got it. This is just beautiful It is like a less dense China Glaze White Cap but with a Pink to Purple shift instead of Green to Gold. Here I have it layered over Zoya Ki. This combination is just... WOW!

O.P.I Black Onyx

Black. Creme. Perfection

Zoya Ki

One of the most beautiful duochromes ever. Purple to Green to Blue... Just awesome. Three thin coats.

China Glaze Lighthouse

Really beautiful Golden Yellow glassfleck shimmer. here I have it layered over China Glaze Midnight Kiss for an added kick of color.

American Eagle Unnamed (90 Miles to Cuba)

This is a bit more Green in person. Beautiful color, horrific formula.. Do you see all those bald spots!!? I gave up at Three coats... White base next time...

Essence Everybody's Talking About

Beautiful Coraly- Red with some Pink tones. It's an awesome Summer shade and it makes me go MMMMM! AMAZING formula, two coats.

Essence Planet Earth Splatter Mani

Hi hello and happy Caturday!!

Today I have a totally awesome splatter mani. I haven't really been shy about my love of Essence Color and Go polishes. I really wish that the ENTIRE Essence line was available in the states. They release some really incredible stuff in Europe... I own some of that awesomeness thanks to the lovely Deborah but I just cannot get enough of these little polishes.... So, it had been a while since I busted out my Color & Go's and I was really wanting to play with some of these because I just love these little suckers. I have a really cool mix of colors and I always want to mix them in really contrasting ways... As such :D!

So for this mani I started with alternating bases of Lime Up! and Underwater. Then I splattered with the alternating colors using a little coffee stirrer straw thingie. I love those because I can really aim at the nail and it makes it a little less messy and a lot faster for me. How cute is this combination?! It looks like pictures of Planet Earth from Space or something. I am just over the moon with this mani! To top it all off I added a coat of INM Northern Lights.

And there you have it! I love these polishes!! They are .99 cents and they are just AMAZING. They have outstanding formulas and great brushes. I love theseee!!! Go get some!! lool!!

Essie Luxeffects Shine of the Times Layerings!

Hi loves and happy Friday!!

Today I have two quick layering combos using Essie's Shine of the Times. This pretty was released around the Holidays and it made a huge splash due to the fact that it is a Flakie. Now, this one is a dupe of Nubar 2010 and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure(Original). I have Nubar 2010 but I couldn't pass this up for some reason... I've only layered over Two colors because this has been seen time and time again but it's still just so pretty!!!

Here is Shine of the Times over Bettina's Bordeaux. I won't really be going into detail about Shine of the Times because we all know what it looks like lol.. But I love how fiery this looks over certain colors. I love how this looks over Red shades in paticular. It creates a really interesting textured look and so many colors come out.

And here I have it layered over A England Galahad. I love how this looks like a Sunset sky. You know? when the Sun is going down and there is a Blue sky covered in Pink clouds? This reminds me of those types of afternoons.

Can you guys get enough flakies? I kinda can't!!

I know it's been said a million times before, but, OMGGGG I am so excited to see FLAKIESSS in stores and available to us normies loool! These are flakies I feel like I can wear because I didn't pay so much for it that it feels like a relic now... Aheemmm Nfu.Oh #52 I'm looking at you. Finger Paints Flashy over Julep Maggie

Hello Gorgeous!! Flashy is mainly Reddish/ Coppery flakes in a kind of clear- milky base. These don't really have a strong color shift and remain mostly reddish until you move your nails to extreme angles. This is the clear- based equivalent to Zoya Chloe pretty much.

Finger Paints Flecked over China Glaze Glittering Garland

Flecked is the most amazing Green to Blue and visa- versa flakie. If this were to have an equivalent it would be Zoya Maisie or Opal. I am absolutely smitten with this combination. The Green flakes looked like little crushed Emeralds on my nails. AMAZING!

Finger Paints Twisted over Julep Chloe

Ahhhh!!! OMG this is just so amazing! Twisted is the perfect mix of all different kinds of flakies that create the coolest effect ever. I can't even fully make out exactly all the colors that come out in this flakie because there are just so many of them at once. My eyes can't get enough of this. I believe this is like a clear-based Clairvoyant/ Unicorn Puke.

Finger Paints Asylum over Julep Trina

Asylum is a pretty even mix of Red and Blue flakes that do not really seem to have an obvious color shift. I have to comment on how sparse the flakes were on this one. Also, for some reason the base of this flake seemed extra milky... IDK, maybe it was just mine but I found that a little odd. I still like this a lot. This combination in particular really sold me on this flakie.

Finger Paints Motley over My Nameless Franken

This may not have been the best combo to try to showcase this flakie because my base color was so similar to the darker Blue flakes but this is really beautiful in person... Anywho Motley is a mix if Blue and Green flakes that don't really have a color shift like Flecked does. Much like Asylum, the flakes in Motley are also very sparse.

Here is one coat each Finger Paints flakie over O.P.I Black Onyx.

And there you have it! These are pretty amazing. These do seem to be less packed than some other flakies out there but that's not really a problem. These were perfect at Two coats of the flakies over whatever base I was wearing. You really cannot beat inexpensive flakies that are readily available.... Well .. Just about... Seriously girls!! Run out and pick up at least one while they last! The effect these create is like nothing else and it will make you stare at your nails sooo much!

Pink Wednesday!! Bettina Groovie

Happy Pink Wednesday!

I've been pretty inconsistent on my Pink Wednesdays lately... I hope I can still sit on the cool table. Today I have an awesome Bettina color that rocked my socks a few months ago and it is still rocking my socks right now. This pretty comes from their Disco Collection, which was a HUGE hit with me. I also got to play with my Red Angel plates that the Hubs got me for Christmas. He is just awesome like that.

I started with Three thin coats of Groovie. Which is just amazeballs.... Then to keep things simple but edgy I stamped using this cool geometric design from Red Angel plate RA103. For the stamping I used Konad Black special polish. I really love these types of stamps with very clean and simple designs. Plus.. Pink and Black... Yes Please!!

China Glaze Glittering Garland

Hi hello!!

Today I have a quickie post for you guys. It is a simple swatch of a beauty I picked up on clearance at Sally's. This is the only China Glaze Holiday color I picked up from 2011's collection. I honestly was not that blown away by CG's 2011 Holiday Collection when compared to 2010's. But this was so cheap I just could not pass it up. Glittering Garland made a lot of "Best of 2011" lists and I can totally see why now.....

So... Pretty amazing right? Glittering Garland is a deep Emerald Green base packed full of micro glassfleck shimmer. I am madly in love with the light Green shimmer in this because it's not really a bright, in-your-face, type of shimmer. This is more of a "glow from beneath" shimmer that lights up the creamy base. The formula for Glittering Garland is absolutely great and only takes Two coats. I am so glad I picked this up!!

Muffin Monday!! The Nameless Franken

Hi loves and good morning!

It is Monday and that means it is time for another Muffin Monday! Today she picked for me a Franken I mixed up some time ago. I never came up with a name for it so it just became "The Nameless Franken". I usually have a pet peeve against nameless polishes but for some reason neither Mr. LTHP nor I could come up with a name for this creation. Suggestions?

The Nameless Franken

This creation came about when I purchased a brand new bottle of Sinful Colors Nail Junkie to replace a bottle that was 3/4 empty... I just plain did not feel like having an almost empty bottle of nail polish laying around so I decided to add some stuff to what was left in the bottle of Nail Junkie. So in here we have some Nail Junkie, some Wet 'n' Wild Blue Moon and some Delia's Marine Breeze, which is really close to O.P.I Ski Teal we Drop. I had to do Three coats for full opacity but I quite like this. It basically ended up being a nice shimmery, creamy dark Teal base with a lot of interesting glittery sparkles suspended in the base. Really pretty....

So loves... What say you... Name suggestions?

Zoya Fleck Effect Collection Swatches- LOTS of Combos and Photos!!

Happy Caturday!!!

It is Flakie gate here at LTHP today. I hope you guys have some time on your hands because this is going to be a long post. I won't be rambling much but there are lots of pictures for you guys. Can I just say how excited I am to see Zoya venturing out into the realm of Flakies?! It is nice to see a company listen to their customers and give them what they want. Now if they would hurry up and do those holos they spoke about on Facebook not so long ago.. Hhhmmm.... I have faith in you my Zoya Faeries!! Now... Are you guys ready to do this? Pop some corn, sit back and relax... Because it's about to get a little fabulous in here...

Since this post is a little long I won't go on about each color combination and just let you guys enjoy the pics. Instead what I will do is just post about each Flakie and then blow your minds away :D! All of the layerings are one coat of the glazes over the base color. I did not try these on their own. It is clear that they are not meant to be worn alone and I really wanted to play around with color combinations that would showcase the beauty of these amazing flakies.

Zoya Maisie - Mylar Glaze

This pretty is a light Blue base with Blue to Green flakies packed in it. The colored base is so barely there that on it's own you could never reach opacity. I love the shade of beachy Blue it is in and looking at the bottle on its own is mesmerizing. This flakie has the strongest and most obvious color shift in the bunch. What I mean by that is that you don't really have to tilt your hands to extreme angles to see the different colors in the flake. Brava Zoya *golf clap*.

Zoya Opal- Mylar Glaze

Opal is a light Green jelly base, that much like Maisie, is barely there. Looking into this bottle is like looking into the most beautiful swamp water you've ever seen lool. I know that sounds awful but it's really not. The flakes in Opal are, for the most part, Green. These also have a shift to Blue. Sound Familiar? I'll get into that later.. For now Please enjoy the beauty that is Opal.

Zoya Chloe- Mylar Glaze

Chloe is Valentine's Day in a bottle... This color is just so sweet. I love that this is not a dupe of Essie Shine of the Times/Nubar 2010/SH Hidden Tressure Original. While the flakes that float in the soft Pink base are Golden/Coral-y/Copper they do not really shift to Green until you hold you hand at extreme angles. The predominant color is Coppery goodness. There are also some Blue flakies sprinkled in the mix. I think out of the Three this is my favorite because it is just so striking.

Now here I've put them over Black. On my index finger I have one coat of Chloe. Now for the issue I have with this collection. On my Middle and Ring fingers I did a coat of Maisie and Opal... I forgot to write down which color I did on which finger and I could not tell them apart! I still can't tell them apart! That makes me a sad panda. I know they look totally different when you layer them over other colors but what designates the difference between Opal and Maisie seems to be mostly the base color because the flakies are not too far off from each other. Maisie is Blue to Green and Opal is Green to Blue, but over Black.. None of that nonsense matter because they look pretty much the same. I, for one, am not too terribly bummed because I can make it work and I have some Zoya flakie frankens in mind that I want to work on... I wanna name one after my Momma!

Final Thoughts: Just when I start to think.. Maybe.... Just maybe... I might be getting "flaked out" Zoya goes and does this! I can not love them and I'll tell you why... For ages we have been nagging mainstream companies to give us more flakies... Nom nom nom!! We are the flakie monsters!! Well Zoya listened and gave us some motherfreakin' FLAKIES! Again I say Brava Zoya! These are really beautiful and they are inspiring me to make my own flakie creations as well. Also on a totally random side note: These are not as densely packed as some other flakies I've tried which I actually like because you can give the layering as dramatic or a subtle of an effect as you want. I totally want to play with my Zoya Beauties and make me some Zoya Magic with these flakes.

Zoya True Collection Swatches

Hello lovely readers and happy Friday!!!

I cannot believe Friday is here already. This week really flew by for me. Today I have one of the first Spring collections to burst into the scene for 2012. I LOVE spring collections and I could not wait to see what Zoya had in store for us this year after last years amazing Intimate Collection. Well, they absolutely delivered on a beautiful collection. This collection has its pros and cons and I will get into that later in the post, but I am really happy with these beautiful polishes.

I've decided to give the Fleck Effect Collection its very own post because I have a ton of pictures of those pretties! For now please enjoy the True Collection by Zoya.

These are my first "nubby swatches" but honestly.. I am enjoying the shorter nails at the moment. I can see a few advantages... I can get away with bolder colors. I don't have to worry about breakage and I really like how they look in person. In pictures my longer nails look better, but when it gets cold my cuticles dry up badly and it seems I cannot keep up with moisturizing.... Anyways... Enough rambling...

Zoya Skylar

Hang on.... Just one more minute.............................. Ok... Now I'm done drooling over this picture and color. Skylar is a beautiful dusty Denim Blue packed full of the most amazing Silvery/ Blue/ Green shimmer you've ever seen. This color looks layered and textured which makes it even more interesting. This is a super flattering shade of Blue and the shimmer... OMG that shimmer!! This was two easy coats. Skylar has a very smooth and even formula that only takes Two coats for opacity.

Zoya Tru

And they just keep hitting it out of the part... This epic Purple is epic.... I love this shade.. I really do. It's a very Red toned Royal Purple creme with a scattered Golden/Coppery/Pinky micro shimmer that is not all in your face but makes you want to keep staring at your nails like you've never seen a nail before. This shade is unlike anything I've seen from Zoya, now I just hope there are no O.P.I dupes when their spring collection rolls out. This has a great Two coat formula.

Zoya Bevin

Bevin is a dusty shade of light Jade Green creme. This color has that special Zoya smokiness going on... I really like this shade but I've seen Zoya do such stronger and much more interesting shades of Green. This color dries a little darker on the nail than it is in the bottle but I don't mind because the darker tone is actually prettier to me. The formula on this color is a little thick and it takes a steady hand to apply as it does not settle too well.

Zoya Lotus

Ok, this color was a pain to photograph indoors and by the time I got around to this shade there was no Sunlight left.. So anyways.. Lotus is a dusty shade of medium Purple. This tone has more Blue tones in it than Tru. This pretty has a strong Pink shimmer that is just stunning! This color has a slightly thin formula but in a good way. This one also takes Two coats for full opacity.

Zoya Cho

This one is a soft Beige with some slight Yellow tones. What I like about this shade is that I can pull it off. It's a nice true Beige with the slightest Pearly shimmer. I REALLY like this color.... BUT.... It seems to be out of place in this collection. To me, it feels like this color should have been released with the Touch Collection that was released during Summer and it was made up of neutral tones like this one with that same soft Pearly shimmer. This color has a nice opaque formula but it is a little thick and has the same settling issues a Bevin so it requires a steady hand.

Zoya Farrah

This is another great neutral shade that seems to be out of place in this collection. Again, I LOOOOVE this shade, but it just does not seem to fit in with the collection. This one is like an iced latte Beige creme. The only other True creme in the collection. It's a really nice Greyed out neutral and I am a huge sucker for shades like this.. BUT, again, kinda bummed that they released it as a part of this Spring Collection, especially on the heels of their Feel Collection which was Six neutral shades. This color also seems to have the same type of formula as Bevin and Cho. A little thick but not in a horrible way.

And now for some quickie comparisons:

I'll let you guys draw your own conclusions :D.

So my quick final thoughts on this collection are: I love it. I even love the neutral shades (Cho and Farrah) quite a lot. While I am disappointed, a little, in the Neutral shade overload we seem to be having lately from Zoya I do like having these colors as a part of my collection. That being said the other Four colors are just outstanding. Bevin, Skylar, Tru and Lotus are prime examples of Zoya at their best. They are colors that are different and eye- catching without being over the top or predictable. I really do wish that they would have stuck to the theme of "Rich Flora Tones" they seemed to have going on with the more vibrant colors but I can't really complain about soft neutrals that don't clash with my skin like most neutrals seem to do. Bottom line... I'm a Zoya Pixie all the way and they can do very little wrong in my eyes lool.. :D!

O.P.I Russian Navy

Hello Darlings!!

Today's post is a classic beauty. This color has quite a bit of age on it and it is a part of O.P.I's core collection. I don't remember exactly what drew me to buy this color because in "normal" light it really doesn't look like anything special. This is one of those colors that really comes to life in the Sun and like I said before it is just classic... I just recently wore this under O.P.I I Lilly Love You and the combination was just stunning. The funny thing is as I was applying this color I kept thinking to myself..." Why haven't I worn this more often?".

O.P.I Russian Navy

Russian Navy is a beautiful shade of deep Navy Blue shimmer. What really sets this shade of Navy apart is the beautiful Magenta shimmer that peaks through the deep Navy base. The magenta shimmer is more evident in the bottle than it is on the nail but it gives this color the extra bit of depth that makes me love it so much. Like just about every other O.P.I this color has a great Two coat formula. Beauties like this one deserve more love!

Franken Time!! Close Enough- My Accidental Unicorn Puke Dupe(ish)

Hi loves!!!

Instead of Pink Wednesday today I decided to show you this awesome and total accidental franken I created. By now we are all pretty familiar with the amazing Unicorn Puke a.k.a Clairvoyant by Cult Nails... Well like so many of us I was totally smitten by this beyond amazing creation by Maria.... I was never able to get my hands on it and I am super impatient so I just pretty much gave up hope of ever owning the beautiful Clairvoyant flakie.... I decided to name this franken "Close Enough" because... Well.. It is close enough hahaha!

Recently Jen The Polishaholic did THIS post where she layered all the Finger Paints flakies all over eachother and the effect was so amazing!! Well, my lazy ass did not feel like layering Five times so I just pured some of each of the Finger Paints Special FX colors into one bottle so I would not have to layer them and just do one or Two coats of this Flakie mix and be done. Basically I created a flakie out of other flakies.... And then I thought.. Hhhmmmm.... Maybe.. Just maybe.... I could make my own Unicorn Puke... So I went for it!

The recipe for this franken is quite random really. I never measure when I franken I just go by feel.. So in this pretty we have a mix of the following polishes: Asylum, Twisted, Motley, Flashy, Flecked by Finger Paints. I also added some O.P.I I Lilly Love you and Nfu.Oh #52 all mixed in with a small amount of Orly Fowl Play. It is quite the involved franken but OMG is it stunning!!! There are so many different colors in this and I love how the micro shimmer from Nfu.Oh 52 gives it a little something extra. It is quite sheer, just like the original Unicorn Puke and takes Four coats for some form of opacity... But layer this baby over anything and then there is some magic!!

I'm pretty proud of myself for creating this amazing franken! Accidental awesomeness is the best!! I really want to see this over Black soon!

@Llarowe Spam FTW!! Lots 'o Pics!

Hi loves and happy Tuesday!

Today I have some amazing colors from the lovely Shop Llarowe. I a while back Leah Ann, who runs the shop, held a Facebook contest for ladies who would be her official swatchers and I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of her ladies. Leah Ann had a special assignment in mind for me... See, she wants me to do some awesome nail art with her pretties.. And I totally intend on doing so.. BUT FIRST! I just had to wear them!! I've had these for some time now but I really wanted to actually enjoy them first. Now I have a surge of ideas and I hope to start working on some nail art with these Llarowe beauties soon. For now here are some swatchies!!

Ozotic #502

This is one coat of Ozotic #502 layered over a basic Black creme. This color has an amazing Copper to Green to Golden shift that resembles a Beetle. Ozotic really has captured my heart with these multichromes. I really can't wait to play around with stamping and such with these.

This pictures really shows the shift and just how shimmery this pretty really is.

And in the shade you can really see the color shift in this beauty.

Just amazing...

Glitter Gal Not Another Red/ 3D Holo

Holy WOW!!! This is just so pretty and saturated and just perfect! It is not a bright shade of Red but more of a Pinky- Red with a very strong and sparkly linear holographic finish. The formula on this color is just perfection and super pigmented and sooo easy to work with. That is one of my many favorite things about Glitter Gal holographic polishes.

This one is a saturated Fuchsia jelly base packed full of strong linear holographic sparkle. This color is super girly but the holographic finish really sets it apart. This color has a really nice formula and it is fully opaque at Two coats but I did Three thin ones to give it a little bit extra sparkle. I really love the polishes in this collection.

Demeter is Atenas yummy Orange sister. Formula wise it just like Atena... Now let's just talk about how awesome this shade is.. It's Orange.. It's Holo... It is just AMAZING! My love of Oranges really peaks right here loool.. I mean I don't see how it could get much better than Orange and Holo...

Muffin Monday!! Pure Ice Rio

Hi again loves!!

As promised I am back with a super late Muffin Monday post. I think it is so cute and awesome that you guys ask about Muffin when she is out for some time :D. She just celebrated her 6th B-day last Monday and is laying right by my side as I type this. She really gave me a hard time with this pick... As she would not pick one loool! And when she would pick something, I was not fast enough with the camera... So finally I just made a little pile on the floor and sat her in the middle and this is what I got...

Pure Ice Rio

I kept it really simple because it is late and I am tired and feeling lazy.. Plus Rio is really beautiful on its own and I didn't want to "clutter" it. I used one of my new Red Angel plates. I was really curious about the half- moon stamps that are a part of this set. I believe it is plate RA110. It is a really smart concept and I really like the idea of these half moon stamps. The look is really cute and simple to achieve.

This is Rio on its own. I used Three coats. This color applies really well and dries really fast. I am a fan of Pure Ice polishes. They have some really pretty colors and they are super inexpensive. This one is one of my faves. It's an awesome magenta pink jelly base with a soft Purple microshimmer.

Evolution of a Mani with China Glaze Celtic Sun and my New Nubs- A Must Read

Good morning loves!!

So, here's the dealio... I usually work on Muffin Mondays on Sundays..... Well Saturday night became extremely eventful when womanly things lined up just right not 26 minutes into the new year... Needless to say I feel like crap and I am in a lot of pain and the last thing on my mind is doing my nails. I decided to do a live Muffin Monday so I will be back later with a Muffin post. In the meantime please enjoy this awesome and totally accidental mani... It's a funny story...

So it all started with me really wanting to try Celtic Sun. Which is a freaking awesome neon highlighter Yellow. I just got it recently at Sally's. It's an older color but it's still totally awesome and new to me. My camera will never do neons justice.... I started with a base of Two coats of Julep's Holly , which is a light White with just a touch of Pink and it has a pearly shimmer. This color turned out to be a perfect base for this neon Yellow. I then layered Two effortless coats of Celtic Sun over the Julep, topped it off with some SV and it was awesome... Also... Thoughts on my new nubbies? I'm kind of enjoying them....

So then I decided that I wanted some totally Rock 'n' Roll nails and the checker stamp I just got was the perfect choice so I did just on my Ring finger as a cute and chic accent nail. Total love for this look. So I was pretty sure this would be the final look for the night and I was just rocking out with the hubs celebrating New Year's eve when suddenly...

The plate is SE22 and I used Konad Black Special Polish

I totally jacked up my pinkie nail!!!!!!! Apparently it had not fully dried... So I re- did it and not 10 seconds after applying my top coat (literally) on the newly painted pinkie I jacked it up AGAIN! So I decided I was not going to re-do it a Third time...

What did I do? Glitter will cover ALL our sins loool!!! I added a coat of my new favorite layering glitter that I found at Charlotte Russe and the pinkie was good as new. And then I was thinking my hand was looking uneven so I did on my Index finger as well... BUT THEN.. I thought my Middle and Thumb nails were looking out of place being naked so I added some awesome star stamps from Bundle Monster plate BM05. And voila! A whole awesome and accidental look was born! I wish this looked as awesome bright as they do in person...

The contrast of the Black against the neon Yellow is just so much fun!! And also I am freaking LOVING this checkered stamp! Ladies!! Salon Express kits at CVS "As Seen on TV" section. It was only $10 and it comes with this plate that has the checkered stamp.

And this was THE final look of the night. I am so in love with this look. It's fun and edgy and I am so shocked at how much I love this shade of neon Yellow. I also love how the CR glitter looks over this bold shade. It is just the perfect contrast.
