Sunday Swatch Spam!!

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Sunday!!! I was just thinking, not long ago, that it had been a while since I last did a swatch spam post. Then, yesterday, as I was going through some drafts I found all of these. The timing was kind of perfect! More after the jump.

Merry PINKmas! Cute Stamps and Gradients and Sparkles. Oh My!

(**Press Sample**)
Happy Thursday!!

Pinkmas is here!!! Slowly but surely, I've started getting into the Holiday spirit. It is kinda hard to get with the program when it is December, but I can still lay out and get a tan. C'mon.. I know it's Florida and all, but catch up already Mother Nature haha! Anywho, I sat down to play with some polishes yesterday and I ended up with this simple, but cute Pinkmas look.
PINKMAS! photo PinkmasLook1_zps7bc6afcf.jpg
For this look I started with a base of Barielle Pink Flip Flop. I then did a PInky gradient using Barielle Pink Flip Flop and Cosmic Kiss. Then came the sparkly part. I added a coat of Zoya Mosheen from their Zenith Holiday collection. Adding this magical glitter glaze gave my gradient an icy, wintery look. Mosheen is just BEAUTIFUL! It is an icy blend of micro bars and sparkles in a very , very light Blue jelly base. The sparkles themselves are very iridescent, twinkly and just beautiful. I only needed one coat of Mosheen to get good coverage as the glaze is fairly thick and packed with sparkle.
Once my sparkling gradient was dry I went back and added some stamped details. I used Konad Black special polish for my stamps. The designs came from Cheeky plate CH6 and Pueen plate Pueen42. To finish the whole look off I did a top coat of Seche Vite.

And because I just ADORED this sparkling gradient, here is a pic pre stamps. I think Holiday Barbie would rock these. Mosheen gave my Pink shades just the right touch of Blue tint without altering the Pinks too much. I had contemplated stopping here because I loved this gradient and Mosheen so much.
 photo ZoyaMosheen_zps66b6b72c.jpg

And here is a shot of my base color Pink Flip Flop. This is an adorable shade of Strawberry milk shake Pink creme. The formula on this baby is just perfect and does great in Two easy coats. This color has a very smooth and creamy formula.

Pinkmas is here!!! I hope you guys enjoyed this look. Oh and if you were on the fence about Mosheen.. Don't be! It is absolutely magical and beautiful. I have a feeling she will be making a few more appearances during this season and when it (hopefully) cools down.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

"Truffin" Tuesday!! Barielle Green Apple and O.P.I My Paprika is Hotter than Yours!

Hello and happy Tuesday!

SO sorry this post is running late. I got distracted yesterday while working on my hair. I got into one of my cray cray funks and decided I wanted to re-do my hair colors. I've been taking Folic Acid supplements (per my doctor) and my hair, and nails have been growing SO fast!! But, anywho... My roots were KILLING me, so I got wrapped up in that project and completely forgot to post this awesome mani I did with Truffle's pick(s).
Muffin is still refusing to pick lol. She will just sit there looking pretty like "What, what do you want human?". This week though, Truffle decided to join in the fun and picked me some shades to play with.
I don't know what it is about this look but I LOVE how it turned out. The color combination is weird and yet it works so well. Truffle picked for me Barielle's Green Apple and O.P.I My Paprika is Hotter than Yours. These are both phenomenal, vibrant shades!! They both have amazing formulas, incredibly saturated and creamy! I used Two coats of each shade. For the triangle Purple accents I used Zoya Pinta. I finished the look off by adding some contrasting "glequins" and topping the whole look off with Twee & Honey's This is Matteness- matte top coat.

And here are the kitties doing their thing.

And because I loved these shades together before I even added accents. Here are my base colors. I am smitten with O.P.I MPIHTY!! That said, my camera was not a fan lol. It is an AMAZING Summer/ Spring shade and if you even remotely like Oranges, you will want this baby. Green Apple by Barielle is a really fun and unique shade and you can't beat that Barielle formula!
I'm loving all these fun and quirky shades for Spring and Summer. I think those are my favorite seasons for nail polish. I had so much fun working with these colors and I can see why Truffle has trouble deciding ;).

Time to go finish working on my hair!! I will have pics for you guys as soon as it is done ♥.

Barielle Summer Fun Set goes Miami Art Deco

Happy Friday!

Today I have another cloud mani for you guys. It's pretty safe to say I am obsessed with the cloud mani technique. It is fun and easy to do, you get striking results and the color combinations are as endless as your imagination. So I received this cute little set from Barielle made up of Five, very Art Deco, pastels and I just had to do something with all of them together. I went with Clouded Skittles.
The base colors from thumb to pinkie are: Berry Go Round, Ocean Breeze, Peach popsicle, Mint Ice Cream Cone and Pink Flip Flop. All five of these colors came together in a little set called Summer Fun. All Five shades are pastels with the most fantastic formulas. I couldn't bring myself to separate the colors because they looked so good together. These are straight out of South Beach Miami!
Here are some skittle swatches of the Barielle Shades.

  [RANT ALERT]
Since theft fuckery on Instagram (everywhere really) is at an all time high I've added an extra mark to these photos.... Which I'm not thrilled about and I don't plan on doing to every photo, just the ones I feel might need it. BTW! There is ONE AND ONLY LTHP Instagram account and the user name is: Letthemhavepolish. I've also started using the hashtag #officialletthemhavepolish and if you'd like to share your nail art with me on IG you guys are welcome to use this tag! Sadly I've come across many thieves claiming my site to be theirs as well as my work.... Yay.... Instagram gives me frown lines.... So there's that.
I'm also not loving the part where Instagram doesn't give an absolute crap about the reports that are filed and they never respond to tweets Waaahhh Waaahhhh... And here I was thinking Instagram was all in good fun. Nope, even there, there are douche bags looking to piggy back off of your success. I had a panic attack the other day where I almost shut down the blog and walked away. It is so hurtful to see someone claim my work when I work so hard on what I do for this website. And for the enablers(IG) to not carry through with enforcing the rules is an even harder slap on the face. I guess if it's on the internet it's fair game but I've still not come to terms with that fact... And it still breaks my heart everyday to know that
[END RANT]

Here is a shot of the Five polishes used for this manicure.
Barielle cremes are the shiz! They always apply like butter. I was really pleased to work with these. Pastels can be such a pain in the butt to apply but these were just fab!

Three Pretties from Barielle

Hi lovely readers!!

Today I have Three swatches of some lovely Barielle polishes. Barielle is one of my favorite brands when it comes to their interaction with their customers. They have a very active Facebook page and I absolutely LOVE that in my cosmetics companies. Anywho, a few weeks back they held a little contest and I entered (they hold contests all the time, with awesome prizes). The theme of the contest was glitter. I submitted a picture of my Barielle Sky's the Limit with Starchild mani and I was voted the winner by Barielle Facebook fans. My prize was my pick of Three Barielle polishes and these are them :D!
To see swatches of these beauties just keep on reading :D!

Work Party #NOTD #FishEggMani

Hi loves and happy Tuesday!

Today I have the nails I wore to this work party I had on Saturday.... Sadly these didn't even make it to the party. They were ruined by the time I had to get dressed. What can I say? I totally brain- farted and forgot that I had to rock some *couchspanxcough*. Let me tell you... These and said garments do not mesh well....
The employees had to dress in White and Navy and such so I kept the theme down to my nails. I wore the cutest white BCBG dress and I totally forgot to take pics of he full outfit.. My shoes were too adorable for words. Maybe I'll have to find a reason to get all dressed up again and take some pics for you guys! On my nails I was rocking Two coats of Barielle in Berry Blue with some Fish Egg accents in Silver and Light Blue beads. I was so bummed that these didn't last. They really looked so cool!
I'm kinda liking this new trend of the Index and Middle finger accent nails. While a the party I managed to break one of my already short nails, my middle nail on my picture hand to be precise, so I am back to some SUPER nubs... I know my nails are short, but now they are even shorter.

Thanks for stopping by!

LTHP Franken: Coal Digger

Good morning loves!

Today I have an awesome franken I made using an Etsy polish and a NYX polish. Actually a big part of the reason for my purchasing the specific Etsy polish was to be able to create this franken. I am a HUGE fan of micro shard like glitter. My love of this type of glitter became obvious after I tried NYX Gilded Glitter. Which I am sure goes by a different name now since NYX re-vamped their nail polish line. Anyhow, here is my franken that I made out of Sweetfairy Boutique Black Ice and NYX Gilded Glitter.
Any Modern Family fans in the house? The name was inspired by the episode where Gloria finds out that Claire had called her a "Coal Digger" (LOVE Luke) hahah....For this layering I started with Two perfect coats of Barielle Island Breeze. Once that was dry I added Two coats of my franken Coal Digger and topped it off with some Seche Vite. Seriously love this look!

Here is a macro just 'cause I felt like it :D.

Four New Releases from Barielle

Good morning and happy Thursday!

Today I will be showing you Four of Barielle's new releases. Barielle just recently expanded their line by 90 colors. NINETY colors!! So, the other day I came home to a lovely little surprise package from the people at Barielle with Four of their new shades and a great protein base coat, and a top coat. I love that Barielle expanded their line so dramatically. Seems like we don't hear much from Barielle's neck of the woods so to see them come out of the Blue with such a huge expansion makes me kinda happy. I really enjoy Barielle polishes and their formulas so I welcome these Four pretties with open arms... Erm... Hands :D!

Sorry for this super late post. Remember yesterday's bummer, Snap Dragon by Barielle? This is how I fixed that problem...
So Gemstonesis a mix of Small and Larger Hexes in Blue, Purple, Red, Gold, Silver and Green. Basically a crazy mix, birthday glitter. It fixed that Barielle right up!
Yay for glitter!

Have a good night!

Some Barielle Swatches

HI loves!!

Sorry for the late post. Today I have swatches of Two Barielle shades I just received recently. Now, these pics were taken with my old cam and capturing Falling Star was actually quite difficult so I will be re doing that swatch soon. I'm kinda bummed... See when I requested these I did not look up swatches. I didn't because I knew I'd love Falling Star and Blackened Bleu as for the Third color I requested.. Well... You'll see....
Barielle Falling Star
This is a really popular and well known shade so I won't go into huge detail. But basically this pretty is a creamy denim Blue base with a sprinkling of Copper glitter. I absolutely love the contrast of the colors and the unique look it creates. Falling Star has a great Two coat formula.

And now for "the bummer"...
Barielle Snap Dragon
This color taught me a valuable lesson.... Look for swatches next time!!!! While I love the shade of Green I am so not thrilled at the fact that it is a frosty finish... Just not cute at all. It is dated and it reminds of of colors that you might see grannies wear... Two streaky coats.
And there you have it. Falling Star is awesome and Snap Dragon not so much... Haha!

Thanks for stopping by!

Barielle Karma Kollection Swatches

Happy Caturday!!!

For today I have some swatches from Barielle's Karma Kollection. From this group I chose to review Do Onto Others, Buddha- Ful and Gotta Have Fate. There are Three more stunning colors that are part of this pretty summer group but these were my picks and I am so beyond happy with them.
Here is Buddha- Ful over Do Onto Others. This combo is stunning! Having Do onto Others as my base really brought out the beautiful flakies in Buddha-Ful. This was my favorite combo. It looks like a mermaid's tail, or the most amazing beach water ever.

And here is a swatch of the lovely Do onto Others. This one is an amazing Turquoise creme with the most amazing formula. I can't get over how effortlessly Barielle cremes apply. This color is like Key West water on your nails. So in other words: Summer Perfection. This is Two coats of color and no top coat.

And once again here is Buddha- Ful layered over  Gotta Have Fate.

And here is Gotta Have Fate one more time.

Now this I couldn't wait to see on the nail. This is the amazing Buddha- Ful  all on it's own. I was worried that this color would never become fully opaque but there was no need to worry as this pretty became opaque at Three thin coats. The formula on this color is amazing and easy to work with. The look it creates is so interesting, almost like fish scales on a naked nail. The Green iridescent flakies really make this super unique.
I have said it a million times before and I will say it again. I need more Barielle!! I can't wait to see what they do for fall and/ or the holidays. I hope whatever they do that it involves more Flakies :)!

Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by,
♥ Cristina

Barielle Gotta Have Fate + Buddha-Ful

Happy Thursday!

Today I have another simple layering using two of Barielle newest Summer shades from their Karma Kollection. Barielle is one of those brands that I wish I had more of but have very little access to... My Ulta SUCKS in a big way... But basically I've never been let down by my Barielle polishes.. Onto the pretties?
So this is a really interesting look. Here I have layered Buddha- Ful over Gotta have Fate. The look IRL is much MUCH prettier but it did not photograph too well. I also have had no Sun for the past two days :(. Anywho Buddha- Ful is this amazing milky nude base packed full of iridescent Green flakies. It's a very interesting polish. Not necessarily a layering polish but it can pull off the look if layered over the right color. I've never seen anything quite like it and I love that Barielle is making flakies more accessible to the public. MORE Flakies!!!

And here is a swatch of Gotta have Fate. This did not want to photograph well at all either. See, it is not quite this fiery Orange. It's more of like a vibrant orange creamsicle Orange. Sooo amazing! This was my first Barielle creme and I could not be happier with the formula on this sucker. It is pigmented like a creme but glides smooth like a jelly. Just perfection. This was two coats and a coat of SV.

Need more Barielle in my life!!! I have one more color to try from this collection which is a lovely Turquiose creme that is calling my name.... I also want to see Buddha-Ful on it's own. I wonder what kind of effect it creates when it is by itself. Maybe it will be my new "interview polish" with a twist :).

Happy Thursday!
♥ Cristina

Random Swatchy Spam Part 3

Hello hello!

You guys like these random swatchy posts right? Anywho these are swatches of the colors I wore under my recent swatching session of  Color Clubs Fractured collection. I deliberately picked colors I had not worn in a while but really loved and had been wanting to re- swatch.

I'll get started with one of my all time favorite colors. Barielle's Decadence. This stunner has the most incredible formula. It is a solid Two coater and it dries insanely fast and shiny. Not to "toot my own horn", but you see how pretty the application is? That is a clean-up free mani. That is an indicator of just how easy this formula is to manipulate. I love everything about Barielle polishes. I wish I had more in my collection. Two coats, no top coat.

This is another of my beloved baby Blues. This is the uber pretty Havana Dreams by Sephora by O.P.I. The formula for this one is a little tricky but not terrible. I love the dustiness of this soft baby Blue. It's so soft and squishy looking.  This is Three coats of color and a coat of SV.

This is O.P.I's Manicurist of Seville. This one did not photograph well at all. It is not this Reddish. It is far more Berry toned. Think of like a glass of Red wine and you have this color. It has a great, typical O.P.I two coat formula.

This is another one of my favorites. Finger Paints Aren't you Gladioulous? I loooove this color. It is a very cool tone Lavender Purple. It applies like butter and is practically opaque at One coat. I did Two to give my nails a more glassy look. Here I have Two coats of Color and a coat of SV.

This is Orly's Green with Envy. LOOOOOOVEEEE. Let me tell you about this polish, This is one of my first "official-collection" buys back from when I first started blogging. I love the formula on this baby. It is a Three coater but the formula borders on being jelly- like so it is a dream to work with. It glides like a dream and dries very quick and shiny. This is slightly Greener than the photo shows but it is very bright and beautiful. This is Three coats and no top coat.

This is the instantly recognizable Frostbite. Amazing electric Blue shimmer that packs an amazing color punch! The pigmentation on this polish is superb. After I was doing swatching I was tempted to go back and put this on again because I could not stop staring at my nails. This is Two coats, no top coat.
Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!

O.P.I Houston we have a Purple + Barielle Elle's Spell

I know, I know...

It's Monday and you're probably wondering where Muffin is... Well, she is on a break. See, Muffin Mondays are a collaborative effort between Mr. LTHP and myself. Currently Mr. LTHP is away (big exciting things are happening) and I have no way to setup/ take the pictures. Working with animals is not ever easy lol. Muffin will be back in a couple of weeks but until then please enjoy onr of my new favorite combos!
For this mani I used Three coats of Houston we have a Purple by O.P.I and then I did a thin layer of Barielle's Elle's Spell. I love how it looks like the flakies are floating on top of the jelly base. I'm also loving how the burgundy jelly base in Elle's Spell adds so much more depth to Houston we have a Purple. In the Sunlight it is even more spectacular. I suggest clicking the pics for detail.
Just for fun here is another swatch of HWHAP.

Jelly over Jelly = Jelly Awesomesauce! And how gorgeous is HWHAP in the Sunlight!? I'm having issues getting these sorbets to wrap around the tips of my nails but whatevs, it's a minor issue that can be solved very easily.

Also, if you have not yet done so check out the Bundle Monster FB contest! [HERE] is my entry. All you have to do is give is a thumbs up! Please help me win one of their new sets :) While there check out the other entries as well :).

Muffin sends her love!
