#CFLBeautyBlogger July Link-up: Black & White

(**Press Samples**)
Today the beauty bloggers of central Florida are coming together to share some Black and White themed posts. I could NOT resist joining them as Black and White is, and will always be, one of my favorite color combinations for nail art. Something about a well done, clean B&W design really just tickles my pickle.
For this look I used mainly Milani shades. My base color is Milani White on the Spot. I went for a stamped design. I used Cheeky plate CH7 and Konad black special polish for the stamping. The final touch was to go back and add some dots to the centers of the patterns on my stamps. I used Milani Black Swift.  I topped my nails off with a coat of Seche Vite. Simplicity FTW!

Check out the looks my girls came up with after the jump ♥.

Merry PINKmas! Cute Stamps and Gradients and Sparkles. Oh My!

(**Press Sample**)
Happy Thursday!!

Pinkmas is here!!! Slowly but surely, I've started getting into the Holiday spirit. It is kinda hard to get with the program when it is December, but I can still lay out and get a tan. C'mon.. I know it's Florida and all, but catch up already Mother Nature haha! Anywho, I sat down to play with some polishes yesterday and I ended up with this simple, but cute Pinkmas look.
PINKMAS! photo PinkmasLook1_zps7bc6afcf.jpg
For this look I started with a base of Barielle Pink Flip Flop. I then did a PInky gradient using Barielle Pink Flip Flop and Cosmic Kiss. Then came the sparkly part. I added a coat of Zoya Mosheen from their Zenith Holiday collection. Adding this magical glitter glaze gave my gradient an icy, wintery look. Mosheen is just BEAUTIFUL! It is an icy blend of micro bars and sparkles in a very , very light Blue jelly base. The sparkles themselves are very iridescent, twinkly and just beautiful. I only needed one coat of Mosheen to get good coverage as the glaze is fairly thick and packed with sparkle.
Once my sparkling gradient was dry I went back and added some stamped details. I used Konad Black special polish for my stamps. The designs came from Cheeky plate CH6 and Pueen plate Pueen42. To finish the whole look off I did a top coat of Seche Vite.

And because I just ADORED this sparkling gradient, here is a pic pre stamps. I think Holiday Barbie would rock these. Mosheen gave my Pink shades just the right touch of Blue tint without altering the Pinks too much. I had contemplated stopping here because I loved this gradient and Mosheen so much.
 photo ZoyaMosheen_zps66b6b72c.jpg

And here is a shot of my base color Pink Flip Flop. This is an adorable shade of Strawberry milk shake Pink creme. The formula on this baby is just perfect and does great in Two easy coats. This color has a very smooth and creamy formula.

Pinkmas is here!!! I hope you guys enjoyed this look. Oh and if you were on the fence about Mosheen.. Don't be! It is absolutely magical and beautiful. I have a feeling she will be making a few more appearances during this season and when it (hopefully) cools down.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Cult Nails Mish-Mash Nail Art for @TheMakeupShow #TMSOrlando

(**Press Samples**)
Good afternoon my loves!!

Today I feel slightly hungover. No, I was not out drinking last night. I don't drink, ever (more like can't)... Anywho, I was at The Makeup Show in Orlando all weekend long and it was a beauty high for the ages. If you follow me on Instagram(@L_T_H_P) you may have gotten a glimpse of the madness that was this amazing show. I will be doing a few posts dedicated to the show. There was a lot of amazing things going on, and I really want to share some of my experiences with you guys.
Since Cult Nails had a booth at the show I decided to do a mani that mish-mashed a ton of Cult Nails shade into one amazing manicure. I wanted to represent for Cult Nails, not only because I consider Maria a friend, but because they are a brand that calls Florida home and I think that is pretty neat. Cult Nails also produces an amazing product, they never disappoint, and they always think outside of the box in their approach to seasonal collections. For me, they are a breath of fresh- air with every new collection because all of their color are always so different from everything else that is on the market at the time. SO, yeah.. I had to pimp some Cult Nails, and this is what I did :D. This look features shades from the Dance All Night, Road Trip and All Access Collections.
CN TMS Nails photo DSCN1150_zps02579d29.jpg
I will have reviews of Road Trip and All Access up very soon! I think it would be easier to break down this look by fingernail so.. let's do this!!
-Thumb and Pinky Nails: Feedback over Dance All Night over Mayhem over Wack Slacks. This was also done on my Pinky nails and you can see just how beautiful this layering turned out. They looked like some kind of jewel.
-Index Nail: Two Timer over All Out over Grunge. This layering created one of the coolest and most unique shades I've ever rocked! Maria didn't believe me when I told her it was all Cult Nails heehee. In the photo above I am holding All Out. You need this polish. I also did this same layering on my Ring fingernail.
-Middle Nail: Walk of Shame over Center of Attention over Be Loco. OMG, OMG, OMG. Ok, yes, so I LOVE this. I wish I had taken a macro of this nail because it was seriously so pretty and so girly and just SPARKLY!
For the stamped details I used Bundle Monster plate BM201 for the zig- zag pattern. For the geometric pattern I used Cheeky Plate CH13. I used Konad Black special polish for the stamps. I finished my whole look off with a coat of Wicked Fast, except for the stamped nails for which I used Seche Vite to avoid smudging the stamped designs.
During the show I had actually accented my nails with some Nail Veils by Chronicle Stones, but I didn't manage to snap a good pic of that. So here is an "ok cell" pic. I do want to go over the Nail Veils soon. I just adore these pieces. They are so edgy and different.
So here is a crappy cell pic of these awesome pieces. I will have an actual post soon! Oh and I ended up accenting my index with moons in You're my Dandylion and Inglot glitter stripes. I already had quite a bit of shrinkage going on at this point ahaha.
You can find out more about Nail Veils by visiting their site http://nailveils.com/. The pinkie piece with the dangle is one of my faves. It makes me feel very "old school glam". Or maybe like something Effie Trinket would wear. The piece on my middle finger can be customized by adding gems to the centers of the flowers. Su, the creator can make them with genuine gemstones or you can get them blank so you can use your own stones. These, semi-precious metal pieces are re-usable which would allow you to change the gems in the Flower veil piece. If you follow celeb nail artist Pattie Yankee, she is a huge fan of Nail Veils, and even had her own custom line created for NYFW this year.

Below are pics of my base colors which I will be reviewing soon they are Grunge, Be Loco and Wack Slacks. It is always so much fun for me to see the transformation of my nails from canvases to completed look.

Oh and for fun here is a sneak of the awesomeness that went down at The Makeup Show Orlando. This model was painted by the artists of the Makeup For Ever Academy. I always look forward to their booth because their demos are surreal, and their creature concepts are always beautiful and beautifully executed. This model was working the heck out of this look!! She was sparkling from head to toe.
My outfit, which pales in comparison to the beauty standing next to me, is all Black Milk Clothing. I wore The Awesome Suit as my top sine I wanted to show off my back tattoo. The skirt is the Purple galaxy skater skirt and I am also rocking the flapper hosiery. I went with simple converses because we had to do a lot of walking, but I liked it that way. The kitty ears are by Locketship.

This year's show was an insane amount of fun. I met so many amazing people, and I got to show of my technicolor, armored nails all day long Saturday and Sunday. It was fun to wear my crazy makeup and not get stared at and it was even more fun to discuss all this beautiful makeup and all these new innovations with people who are just as passionate about this industry as I (we) are.

I'm really looking forward to sharing a few more posts about this show, because it really is an amazing resource for people in the industry or people trying to get into the beauty industry. That, and it was just too much of an amazing experience not to share with you guys! They are so welcoming, and they really give you the opportunity to be exposed to some of the most amazing influences in the MUA community.

For more info about The Makeup Show you can head to their site http://www.themakeupshow.com/.

Thank you so much for stopping by today my painted beauties!! I hope you enjoyed my Cult Nails mish-mash :D.

(**China Glaze Press Sample**)
#31DC2013 Day 6 Purple photo DSCN0035_zps82a728be.jpg
Today I am sharing my Violet look for day Six of the #31DC2013. I had a hard time deciding what shade of Purple to go with... But once I landed on That's Shore Bright from the China Glaze Sunsational Neons collection, I knew I wanted to do something as cute and playful as the base color. I heart Purple (badum tssss)! More after the jump!

#31DC2013 Day 2: Orange you a Sun of Peach!

(**China Glaze Press Sample**)
Happy Monday and happy Labor day to my US dolls!

Day Two of the #31DC2013 the prompt is Orange nails. I decided to make this mani a throwback to the 90's "pop art" look. When I was trying to pick what Orange shade to go with, China Glaze's Sun of a Peach jumped out at me with it's awesome punky vibe. Stamping always feels like "home" to me. So, I reached for some plates that screamed "90's Punk" to me and went to work :D. I must say, every time I catch a glimpse of these nails, they make me smile.
#31DC2013 Day 2: Orange photo DSCN9743_zps3e28c809.jpg
This look started with Three fairly easy coats of China Glaze's Sun of a Peach, of their Sunsational Neons collection. I will rant about how much I adore this shade soon. Lets talk about stamps now! The zig zag stamp came from Bundle Monster plate BM201. The checker stamp came from Cheeky plate CH3 and the smileys came from Bundle Monster plate BM304. For those of yo who might be curious, I did my thumb to match the Middle fingernail. I used Konad Black Special polish for all the stamps.
I top coated my stamps in Seche Vite since I know that TC doesn't smudge when I do stamped art. I followed my Seche with a light coat of INM Northern Lights to give the look a little bit of extra flare. To finish the whole thing off I decided I wanted to mattify the entire thing, so I did a coat of Cult Nails Wax That. I adore this finished look of the mixed patterns and cute smiley faces. How can one have bad day when your nails look like this? I mean, really ;-D.

China Glaze Sun of a Peach
CG Sun of a Peach photo DSCN9724_zps1e3ab650.jpg
I knew I loved this shade from the second I read the name, Sun of a Peach. C'mon!! If that didn't make you at least smile, you are a grumpus cat hahah. This shade is the most amazing shade of pastel neon Peach, leaning Orange. I know the words "pastel" and "neon" should not usually go together.... But that is the best way I can describe this fantastic shade of summery fun. I seriously love this color and if I was only going to pick up ONE shade of the Sunsational Neon collection, it would be this baby right here.
The formula on this shade is not the best thing ever, but it was not as horrid as I was expecting from reviews I had read. I found it to be quite nice, smooth and even for being a neon shade. There was some slight streaking, but if you keep a light hand it should not be a problem. I used Three easy coats for my base. Here it is shown with top coat, as it dries to a satin-matte finish.

So, Day Three calls for Yellow nails.. Ahh my old nemesis.. YELLOW!!! I am determined to make this year's Yellow mani a great one! Now, I am off to see what all the other awesome ladies have done for their Orange Day prompt!!

Thanks for stopping by loves!

Blue Moons for Autism Awareness with China Glaze

(**Press Samples**)
Good Morning!!

Today I am continuing my Blue manis for Autism Awareness month. I hope to finish out this week in Blues. The plan is to feature as much Blue as possible during the month of April. Though, I did see a post on the LVX nail color FB page that April is also Anti- Animal Cruelty Awareness month, I think the color for them is Yellow(Correction:It is Orange). So lots of Blue and Yellow Orange on LTHP during April. For today's look I went with a simple half-moon manicure, all in China Glaze.
This look started with Two coats of China Glaze Sunday Fundy. This is a lovely shade of Robin's Egg Blue creme. Once my base was dry I added some polka dots using Cheeky stamping plate CH6 and China Glaze Lil Drummer Boy. I top coated my nails with some SV and waited for them to be really dry.
For the half-moons I used China Glaze Strap on your Moonboots. This is a beautiful, steely Blue holographic shade. I then went back and cleaned up the seams of my moons with a fine stripe of Blue glitter. For this I used a Stripe Rite nail art striping polish. I did not top coat over the Holographic portions as I did not know if adding a top coat would diminish the pretty holographic finish.

In the photo below I used the flash so the holo would show better. It was so cloudy and Grey outside yesterday :(. Strap on your Moonboots is not an in-your-face-holo, but it is still very linear in finish. It also has a really great, saturated formula. This holo might be great for stamping as well.
I want to thank all those of you who have been sharing your Autism Awareness manis with me! It's great to see so many different online communitites coming together for such a great cause.

Thanks for stopping by darlings!

Muffin Monday!! Pretty & Polished Tomboyish

Oh My!!

Yes, you are seeing correct! Muffin is back!! I don't even remember how it has been since I last did a Muffin Monday, even Muffin forgot what it was all about lol. For those of you who may be newer to LTHP Muffin Mondays are a feature that I started back in 2010 and I used to do it EVERY Monday. Basically I would like up random polishes and which ever shade Muffin "picked" I would feature in one way or another.  As I started to get busier and busier it because harder to keep up with the weekly Muffin Mondays. That said, so many of you lovelies reached out to me asking where Muffin was, I had to bring it back!!
For today's feature miss Muffin picked me one of my new Pretty and Polished acquisitions, and one of the coolest polishes I've played with in a long time!
To see Muffin's pick in action just continue reading ♥.

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day 28: Inspired by a Flag

Good evening!

So, after the ordeal that was my, Day 27, Artwork prompt I needed to take it easy.. So I shut my brain off and reached for my checker Cheeky plate and did this for my flag inspired day lol... I REALLY needed a break..
This look started with Two coats of O.P.I My Boyfriend Scales Walls. The stamp is from Cheeky plate CH3. I used Konad Red and Black special polishes to get nice crisp lines. I had a hard time keeping the checkers steady and even. The sparkle is INM Northern Lights top coat.

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day 22: Inspired by a Song

Happy Caturday!

Today is day 22 of the 31 Day Challenge and Sam, Rie and I have to be inspired by a song. I had some serious mental block when trying to decide on a song... So I didn't :D! I started up my Pandora on my favorite station, Sleigh Bells, and decided that what ever song came on first would be the one I would use as my inspiration.
The song that came on was "Riot Rhythm" by Sleigh Bells. To this day I still have no idea what that song is about. So I watched the video, which made as much sense as the song lol... But it did have a lot of cool imagery...
Every nail is inspired by an aspect of the video. These nails make as much sense as the video does lolol. It's an awesome song though. I love Sleigh Bells!

I'm going to break this mani down by nail to make it easier.
-Pinky nail: base color; Cult Nails Enticing. Gradient done with China Glaze 2012 Neons in Splish Splash, Love's a Beach and Sunkissed. The stamp is from one of the Cheeky plate sets, CH02, and I used Konad Black Special Polish.

- Ring nail" Cult Nails Nevermore accented with opalescent rhinestones.

-Middle Nail: base color; Cult Nails Nevermore. Taped off accents in CG Def Defying, Bettina Premium Wash and Milani in Yellow Whiz and Rapid Cherry. Topped off with Seche Vite and INM Northern Lights.

-Index nail: base color: CG Tree Hugger and stamped with Cheeky plate CH03 in Konad Black. The splatter accents were done with Zoya in Robyn and Lara

Here is the video that inspired the nails!

Today Sam, Rie and I will be taking on day 14 of the 31 day challenge. The prompt is Flowers. I really didn't know what direction to go with for this prompt so I went back to my stamping roots and did a simple and cute Cheeky-cure :D.

This look started with a base of Julie G nail color in Oh Em Gee!. This is a radioactive shade of neon Barbie Pink. I did the stamp with my Cheeky plates. Plate number CH16, using Konad Black special polish. I accented the stamp with dots in O.P.I My Boyfriend Scales Walls and China Glaze Sunkissed. I topped it all off with some INM Northern Lights and Seche Vite.

Pink Wednesday!! Zoya Shelby Summer Nail Art

OMG It's a Pink Wednesday!!

I can't even remember the last time I participated in Pink Wednesday. I wonder if I'm still allowed at the cool table... Not long ago I had been bitchin about how much I miss doing nail art. Well, I was finally able to get caught up in my swatching and I was finally able to art it up in here! For this look I went back to my Bikini inspiration.
So for this cute look I started with two easy coats of Zoya Shelby. I was feeling extra "involved" yesterday so once my base was dry I did a gradient using Zoya Shelby, Zuza and Carly (my gradient-ing needs so much work lol). For the stamp I used Cheeky Plate CH(I forget but will edit later) and Konad White Special Polish. For the dotted accents I used Zoya Zuza and Kimber. I topped the whole thing off with a coat of Seche Vite.
To see a swatch of Shelby just continue reading.

Muffin Monday!! Nicole by O.P.I Listen to Your Mom-ager

Happy Muffin Monday!!

It has been about a month since Miss Muffin has made an appearance on LTHP and I was feeling bad about that... SO! I made it a point that when I got home from work last night I would absolutely work on a Muffin Monday for you guys. I figured I'd limit her choices to some of my most favorite Blues since it is the last day of April, Autism Awareness month. So here is what I did with her pick.... It got quite involved(for me) It's been a while since I've done nail art... And yes, I did all Ten nails :D. I fully intend on rocking these for a few days because I LOVE them!
It's been SO long since I've done nail art that I get to actually WEAR! I'm kind of excited (DORKNESS). So she picked for me Nicole by O.P.I Listen to your Mom-ager, I absolutely adore this shade of deep Royal Blue shimmer. So for the stamping I used Cheeky plate CH06 and White Konad polish. I feel like my stamping is a little sloppy since it's been a while since I've stamped, especially dots. For my index fingers I did Two coats of Windestine Asbestos over the Blue base (LOOOOOVE this nail!!). On my Ring and Thumbs I did matching rhinestone accents. The stones were a present.
Hee hee! MUFFIN!!! <3! She did not make this easy.

I just love this look! Maybe a bit "Holiday" but I could care less... It also comes off a bit prom... So it fits in at the same time haha!
So.. Epic nails are epic :D? Oh BTW, I am LOVING my new Cheeky stamping plates. This is probably my favorite set right now. I wish I had more hands!!

Thanks for stopping by!
