Muffin Mondays! China Glaze Watermelon Rind

Even Muffin has lemmings...

These pictures are such a process to take lol. First I setup in the room and take a test picture. Then, my husband has to go find the cat wherever she is and bring her in the room, show her the polishes while he dangles her above them and then set her down... Sometimes it takes several tries before she decides she's interested... Most of the time she just wants to be petted :)

Summer Days Collection
Artificial Light + Flash

I don't know why I avoided buying this color for so long. I know everyone and their cat has it and I can see why now. BTW I got it on sale along with Two other CG's at my local Sally's. CG is Buy 2 get 1 Free. I didn't catch how long for :(. "Watermelon Rind" is a lovely jewel toned Green jelly base packed full of matching colored glitter and Turquoise glitter. This color is just spectacular. Application is a dream, the formula is perfection. I used Three coats for this mani. I cannot stop staring at my hands, it seems to sparkle even in the dimmest light. How pretty does it look with "For Audrey"? I love the glitter and creme finishes together. I'm so glad I have this color even though I bought it on a whim. It is now a definite stand out in my book :). Muffin knew I needed to wear this ASAP, cats really do have strange senses :)...

China Glaze Emerald Sparkle

Best. Green. Ever.

China Glaze Emerald Sparkle

Quite possibly so, right? "Emerald Sparkle" is a beautiful Green jelly base packed with even more beautiful Emerald Green glitter. The formula on this is excellent, great coverage. For this mani I only needed two coats. The sparkle in this is amazing and I couldn't bring myself to decorate the color further because it is just so beautiful as is. I cannot stop staring at my nails because this color is just so unique! This is going under the Epic WIN tab for sure and feautured in Holiday manis to come!!

China Glaze Tempest

Not bad for a Random Selection...

See, the day I got this I wasn't shopping for myself but for the giveaway and for some reason this jumped out at me so I got it...

China Glaze Tempest
Natural Light
With Flash
"Tempest" is a great "Burple" (Blue-sh Purple) shimmer with a slight Pink flash throughout. The formula on this was a bit on the thin side and application was a little tricky. For this manicure I used Two coats but I think Three would've been better. It felt like I never had the right amount of polish on the brush. I either would have too much polish on the brush or not enough.... This is a really cool color because it changes depending on the lighting. I need to wear it again soon and get all kinds of creative with it because I think this color has more potential than this haha.

China Glaze Solar Power

I just need to give up on Yellow...

It will NEVER work on me lol...

China Glaze Solar Power
ECOllection

Makes my skin look so Red
"Solar Power" is a bright Yellow creme with a subtle pearl finish to it. The formula on this is your typical Yellow formula, thick and annoying. I needed three coats and it didn't help that for some reason the brush on this one was stiff and jacked up :( and this was my first time wearing this so I think it was messed up from the store. IDK what it is but Yellow just doesn't work on me... I like this color a lot and I really wanted it to work so I added to dark Grey detail to break up the yellow and amazingly I ended up liking the end result.

China Glaze Innocence

No such thing as a boring color...

  At least in my book!

China Glaze Innocence
Creme Couture Collection
Sexy Fishnet and Black tipped nails.

There isn't much to say about "Innocence". This is a standard nude Pink that is perfect for this kind of manicure and standard French manis. The formula on this is very sheer. For this mani I used Two coats. I didn't want opacity I just wanted to even out my nail bed and it did a beautiful job. This particular shade matches my skin so well it gives me crazy mannequin hands, but sometimes I like that clean look. I've worn this one before (post HERE) this time I gave it a more sophisticated look.

China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic

I've been having the best luck with all my untried polishes!

This is definitely no exception and absolutely one of my new favorites for sure. Also, today is the very last day to enter My Giveaway if you have not yet done so. The giveaway closes at Midnight tonight!!

China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic
Rode Diva Collection

I developed quite a few lemmings from this collection after seeing Scrangie's swatches. I absolutely love this color. It's dark, sexy and shimmery perfection. "Rodeo Fanatic" is a very dark shimmery Turquoise. The formula on this is dreamy smooth and very well pigmented. I only needed Two coats for my mani. This is one of my favorite manicures to date :) Another for the Epic Win tab...

China Glaze Phat Santa

Red Perfection!

China Glaze Phat Santa
'Tis the Season to be Naughty or Nice

"Phat Santa" is an amazing Red Jelly polish that totally tickles my pickle. I don't normally like Reds but this one is a darker, well pigmented Red, right up my alley. I only needed Two coats for coverage and the formula is amazing on this as well. Applying Reds makes me nervous for some reason but this one was so easy to work with. As you an see I'm totally into the this taping technique, it's just so fun and easy to do. I'm so in the Holiday mood!

Speaking of Holidays... I need to start shopping!

China Glaze Shower Together

I do love a great Teal...

China Glaze Shower Together
ECOllection
Funky Stamps
It's a lot more Teal than this picture shows.
Sunset Light. This is the closest to actual color I could get.
"Shower Together" is quite possibly my new favorite Teal creme. It's a darker Teal but I like that it's not dusty or too dark like most Teals seem to be. This is the perfect Teal for me, it's bold but not obnoxious. The formula is great, of course. The pigmentation is excellent, I only needed two thin coats. It dries very fast and shiny. Sorry my pictures aren't as accurate as I'd like them to be. I'll do an edit to this post soon with better swatches :)

China Glaze Frosty + Midnight Kiss

This is just amazing...

Also, I cannot believe it's already December!!!

China Glaze Frosty
'Tis the Season to be naughty or Nice
Silvery, white goodness

"Frosty" is a pearly White base with White and holographic micro glitter. This is an amazing polish. It is very opaque at two coats but at Three it was perfection for me. The formula on this is great, very easy to apply. I really love the finish of this polish, it's classy and beautiful. I love that it is not a bright white and that the finished product is not milky. If you are familiar with O.P.I's "Princesses Rule!", this would be like a White version of that. Just lovely.

Frosty + Midnight Kiss Ruffian
Then as you can see I attempted a ruffian.... I need some practice. "Midnight Kiss" is a standard bright Gold foil finish polish. Application of this is amazing you could easily get away with one coat. That was all I needed for my Ruffian. The color combo is sooo amazing in person. I want to try this again sometime but with the addition of a third color maybe and hopefully it will turn out better. I cannot get over how amazing this collection is as a whole.

China Glaze Flying Dragon

I still don't know how I feel about this...

China Glaze Flying Dragon
This is a lot "Grapier"
This color was a biatch to photograph.
Sun + Flash

Sequins and I do not agree!
"Flying Dragon" is a neon Purple base with matching Purple glitter and some random Blue glitter. I must say the glitter is so unnecessary, it doesn't even sparkle in Sunlight and the effect is so muddied. The base color itself is not awful, it's just a standard bright Purple. The formula was your standard neon formula, thin and uneven. For this mani I used Three coats of color. This color dries hideous, VERY gritty! I needed two coats of INM Out the Door to smooth it out and give it shine and the Third coat I added after the stamping didn't hurt it... So yeah... I'm on the fence about this color; I don't love it and I don't hate it...

What do you guys think of "Flying Dragon"?

Muffin Mondays! China Glaze Jolly Holly

Even Muffin seems to be in the Holiday mindset!

She chose for me...

China Glaze Jolly Holly
'Tis the Season to be naughty or nice
Green perfection!

Gift Wrapped Nails :)
Golden accents
I'm in love with this manicure! "Jolly Holly" is one of the most beautiful Green shades of polish I have ever seen. It is a dark, shimmery Evergreen Green (get it?). The formula is amazing, well pigmented and you could easily get away with one coat for a lighter look. You still get full and even coverage, just a bit of a lighter shade. For my mani I used two coats. I also love that it remains Green even when not in bright lights. This is truly a Green- lovers dream. This collection is so amazing as a whole, I have a few more polishes to show you from it that I am so excited about!

As always Thanks for Reading :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Gobble Gobble!

I wont go on long about this mani but I really wanted to do something super- mega festive to kick off the Holiday Season! I have a lot of themed manis planned because this is my favorite time of the year and I just can' help myself.

There is a LOT going on here so I won't go into much detail about the China Glaze Polishes because I will be posting about them individually. I will say this, they are excellent to work with and have amazing pigmentation . I just wanted to show you guys my Thanksgiving inspired creation and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. If any of you have any big Black Friday Plans, Godspeed LOL. Have a great Holiday Weekend everyone!

Muffin Mondays! China Glaze Blue Sparrow

Muffin is back!

She also wasn't to thrilled to be back to work haha... This is how the selection went...

China Glaze Blue Sparrow
Artificial Light
Have you checked out My Giveaway yet?
Subtle Snowflakes
"Blue Sparrow" is a neon Blue creme base packed full of matching Blue glitter. Application of this color is great. It goes on a bit thin so I needed Three coats for full coverage and opacity. I must be honest, I pretty much hated this color up until I applied the top coat and then it really came to life. Being a neon this color will dry matte, gritty and kind of ugly so use a really good top coat. This is a great shade of sparkly Blue for all of you Blue polish lovers out there. I really like this color, it's bright, it's loud and it's Blue! For this mani INM Out the Door TC was used.

B & W Week: Scrolls and Lace

Hello pretties!

I'm posting my last Two looks today because tomorrow is a special day for LTHP and I have a special mani planned for that so without further delay:

This one reminds me of the patterns I used on my for my wedding.
Simulated Lace.
I really loved these two looks. The one with the little scrolls in particular. I really love stamping Black on White but it can be a real pain. When stamping Black on white wait a while before applying the top coat to prevent smudging, especially if using the Konad polishes.

I'll see you lovelies tomorrow with a special post. Oh and if you have not yet, you should check out My Giveaway, and enter it!
