CrowsToes 9 Realms Collection Swatches

(**Press Samples**)
Hi and happy Monday!!

I am SOO sorry I am late with these swatches :(:(. If you have been stalking the polish interwebs you may have noticed a lot of buzz over the newest collection from CrowsToes, The 9 Realms. This collection is my introduction to this brand, and I am entirely just blown away. There are 12 new shades in this collection. Each shade is unique and so very inspired.
The theme of this collection is inspired by the Nine realms in Norse mythology. Score yet another point for this fantastic collection :D.

You seriously want to see these pretties up close so keep on reading ♥.

Lac Attack Fierce Spring 2014 Collection

(**Press Samples**)
Happy day of hump,

Today I want to share my swatches of an upcoming collection from the, always awesome, Lac Attack. This collection is made up of Six new amazing layering top coats. If you are a fan of shifting polishes, this collection is definitely for you. Each of these pretties create a completely unique look depending on what base color they are layered over. I am a huge fan of polishes like these because they allow me to create endless new colors out of my existing stash.
There are Four shifting glassflecks and Two glitter/shard toppers. I chose to layer all of my glassflecks over a basic Black creme base to get as much of the shifting effect to come out as possible. That said, the shifters (Unique, Sassy, Fierce, Fearless) look amazing over lighter shades and contrasting shades as well. The possibilities are endless.

Lac Attack Unique- This beauty is a micro yellow-golden shimmer  suspended in a, barely- there, yellow base. The shimmer is very densely packed and creates a beautiful "blackened gold" look when layered over Black. There was a slight shift to Orange at extreme angles. I used Two coats of Unique over my Black base.
 photo DSCN8485_zps29103e89.jpg

Lac Attack Fearless- The particles in fearless are a bit more "chunky" that those in Unique. Fearless is made up of gorgeous micro royal Blue glassflecks suspended in a, barely-there, blue jelly base. Over Black I was getting slight hints of a shift to Teal at extreme angles. I also love the space-y look it gives my Black base. I used Two coats of Fearless.
 photo DSCN9807_zps7a668b89.jpg

Lac Atttack Sassy- Sassy is the brilliant gilded Emerald sister to Fearless. This beauty is a beautiful light green glassfleck blend suspended in a , barely-there, green jelly base. Out of the Four shifters, this one had the most visible duochrome on the nail. I was getting hints of golden, yellow and dark green when I moved my hands around. I used Two coats of Sassy over my Black base.
 photo DSCN9783_zps5292d31e.jpg

Lac Attack Fierce- Fierce is the hot Magenta sister of Unique. This beauty is a micro shimmering blend of magenta particles suspended in a, barely-there, pink jelly base. I love how it turned into a beautiful Blackened violet when layered over a Black base. I used Two coats of Fierce over my base color.
 photo DSCN9758_zps2de65fd2.jpg

Lac Attack Daring- Daring is made up of small Silver shards suspended in a clear base. I love that she used "plain" Silver shards rather than prismatic. I love the look of "broken glass" it creates. I layered Daring over Zoya Rebel for a cool look.
 photo DSCN9487_zps59148794.jpg

Lac Attack Quirky- Quirky is a blend of satin white micro shards suspended in a clear base. I layered Quirky over LVX Monaco. This layering pretty creates the effect of "faux snow" and I love it. I used Two coats of Quirky over my base color.
 photo DSCN9703_zpsf9cb4787.jpg

The Fierce collection will be available from Lac Attack on Saturday May 10th; 1:00pm EST. Don't forget to head on over to the Lac Attack Facebook page to stay up to date on the latest news from Lac Attack :D

Fit for a Sea Goddess

(**Press Samples**)
Good morning and happy Tuesday!

Today I want to share some cute pairings I wore over the past few weekends. All of these beautiful shades come from the China Glaze Sea Goddess collection. The Sea Goddess collection is made up of Six new textured polishes ranging from super sparkly, to subtle and adorable. I really loved these shades and I loved wearing them.
Ever since the O.P.I peel-off base coat came out I have been on a textured polish kick. I love that when I am done or ready for a change I can just peel my textures off and not worry about removal at all.

China Glaze Tail me Something- A stunning shade of micro- glitter, light Purple. This pretty is sooo sparkly it is almost blinding. The formula seems to be made up of nothing but micro glitter and small hexagonal glitters in a beautiful shade of Purple. I used Two easy coats of this color. I paired this sparkler with China Glaze Sand Dollar Make you Holla which is a creamy White textured base base accented with small glitters in a rainbow of colors. This is definitely the ultimate "cake batter" nail polish with that awesome texture. I used Three coats of this shade.
 photo DSCN8242_zps5fdc6773.jpg

My next pairing was all about Pink. I went with China Glaze Shell we Dance which is a beautiful shade of light Raspberry texture shimmery goodness. This pretty has a " shimmery base" accented with small raspberry toned glitter. I used Two coats of this pretty. The light pink shade is China Glaze Wish on a Starfish. I LOOOOOVE this soft shade of pink which is accented by an amazing flash of golden duochrome. Very "seashell pink" feeling. I used Three thin coats of this beauty.
 photo DSCN8308_zps29969489.jpg

And last but not least is this pairing of mermaid-y proportions. China Glaze Seahorsin' Around is the answer to anyone who was praying for a textured version of Zoya Charla (O.P.I Catch me in your Net and all is dupes). This baby is a Teal foil with a slight Golden duochrome. The finish is very intense, sparkly and just beautiful. The only downside to this shade is that it can stain your nails. I used Three thin coats. For a soft contrast I used China Glaze Teal the Tide Turns. This pretty is a creamy "seafoam-teal" creamy texture base accented by small mossy green glitters. I used Three thin coats of this shade as well.
 photo DSCN8148_zps907bfb77.jpg

I really adore the mix of extremely sparkly, and creamy textures in this collection. I also love the theme behind it. I definitely get an oceanic feel from them, very "treasure chest". I love that all of these are unique in my collection. In a sea of textured polishes, these still manage to stand out for me. These have been out for some time now and should be available where ever China Glaze is sold.

I loved wearing these as pairs. Do you have any faves from this collection?

My Ultimate Mermaid Nails with Inglot Spangles

(**Press Samples**)
Hello and happy Thursday!

Today I want to share some of my favorite nails I have ever done. I'm calling these my ultimate mermaid nails. Back when I first received my set of Inglot nail and body spangles, I just knew this look had to happen. I'd also done a "disco mermaid" version of these some months ago for LTHP's birthday. These though!! THESEEEEE!!!!
Ultimate Mermaid Nails photo DSCN6188_zps58c3c058.jpg
For these ultra mermaid nails I started with a base of Milani's Blue Zoom. Once my base color was top coated and dry I started to work on my spangle placements. I worked on one nail at a time. I used a slow drying top coat and set my spangles in an overlapping pattern. Once I was done placing the spangles on all my nails I did a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top top coat to seal my "scales".

I used Inglot Spangles in #23. These pretties have an amazing duochrome effect. They all shift from Sapphire Blue to Emerald Green and Copper at extreme angles. These were the perfect colors and shape for this look I had been dreaming of for months. These Inglot spangles are also very easy to work with :D.
Ultimate Mermaid Nails photo DSCN6171_zpscc6b0f73.jpg
I am so madly in love with how these turned out. They may have even come out better than I had envisioned. It is always such a great feeling to see a mani I had been wanting do come to life beautifully.

Thanks for stopping by!!! I must go back in the water before my tail dries out though ;).

KBShimmer Winter 2013 Multichromes Swatches & Video

(**Press Samples**)
Oh Multichromes ♥!!

Can KBShimmer make polishes or what?! Seriously, this girl has such immense talent for her craft. Back in winter of 2013 Christy released Seven new multichrome polishes. Three of these are smooth shifters and some have an added flash of holographic sparkle. There is also a Blue based shifting glassfleck.
I will warn you now... My skin tone looks awful in all these photos. My ultimate goal with these photos was to capture as much of the shift as possible. I was not concerned with my skin color. All photos were taken in the shade so that the shift would come through a bit stronger in photos.
 photo KBShimmerChromes_zps881a595e.jpg

But, that said.. I did make this quick video which shows these babies in action. It was the best way I could think of to try and capture as much of the shift as possible.

Ninja Polish Mystic Glacier over Cult Nails Time Traveler

Hi hello and happy humpday!!

I swear I have not forgotten about Truffle Tuesday. She made a beautiful pick for me yesterday and I can't wait to get to work on the concept I have in my head. Yesterday was not a very good day for me health-wise. I had been feeling pretty well for the past few weeks, but yesterday and today have been quite rough.
Anyways, today I wanted to share this beautiful layering combination. These are Two polishes I had been lusting after for quite a long time. Mystic Glacier was/is one of those coveted indies. The kind that sold out within seconds of being listed on the website. I knew why, but once I actually got the polish in my hands, I absolutely understood why I needed Mystic Glacier in my hands. My jaw literally dropped when I opened my package that day. If you are a fan of polishes like Clarins 230, MaxFactor Fantasy Fire and the like, you absolutely need this beauty in you life.
Ninja Polish Mystic Glacier photo DSCN6871_zps53dc7b4b.jpg
Mystic Glacier is a Blue based micro shimmer shifter. This baby goes from icy Blue, to Green/Teal, to Purple, to Copper... It is just unbelievable. I'm fairly certain this polish can reach opacity on its own but I really wanted to see it layered. That is the bestest part about these incredible shifting polishes; layering them over EVERYTHING :D. I went with a dark base color to see what shades it would bring out.
Layering Mystic Glacier over Cult Nails Time Traveler brought out these beautiful Plum and Copper shimmer that shifted to Green-Teal at extreme angles. My nails looked like little, beautiful scarabs. I used one coat of Mystic Glacier over my base
This shade dries a bit matte but adding a top coat brings out all that beautiful and amazing shimmer. I topped my nails with some KBShimmer Clearly on Top and wore these for about Four days.

Cult Nails Time Traveler
Cult Nails Time Traveler photo DSCN6859_zpsce1ef2fc.jpg
Time Traveler is this goooooooooorgeous shade of saturated, rich Navy jelly. It is a thick jelly, but thick in a good way. This color has incredible coverage, and if you have a light hand, you can do with one coat. I used two coats because I really wanted a deep, intense finish. This polish is also insanely glossy and that only gets better once top coated, like Navy patent leather. I love that it remains Blue in all lighting even though it is such a rich and dark color. I can't believe it took me so long to get this, but I am SOO happy I finally did.

Mystic Glacier is available from Ninja Polish, online. Time Traveler is available from cultnails.com as well as Harlow & Co and now Beautylish!

I will be working on my nail care routine post! I'm pretty excited about that because it has definitely been a long time coming. Thanks for stopping by today loves!!

Etsy Mania! Aphrodite Lacquers Peacock Earrings and VIP Room

Good morning my lovelies!!

Today I have a couple of swatches of some beautiful layering glitters by Aphrodite Lacquers. I really love Aphrodite Lacquers creations. They are all very unique but in terms of collections they are very cohesive. I also love that many of her creations do not require undie colors. These two glitters I'm showing today are meant for layering but they are AMAZING!

Aphrodite Lacquers in Peacock Earrings over Color Club Port-folio
This combo was pretty much meant to be!! Peacok Earrings is a great blend of Black and Satiny White Squares in varying sizes. There are also small Teal and Silver prismatic hexes suspended in a micro shimmery base. This is just an awesome, fun layering polish. I really like the interesting mix of shapes and colors in this pretty.

Aphrodite Lacuqers VIP Room over Nicole by O.P.I Feeling Grape-ful
VIP Room is a beautiful mix of opalescent squares and micro opalescent shimmer. This polish is just beautiful, ethereal, angelic? I layered it over many colors, but when I saw it over this medium Purple, I knew this was the combo I would show you guys.
That will do it for today :D. My nails are finally evened out so I can start swatching again and finally start doing tutorials!! I am SO ready and excited to get going with tutorials for you guys.

Don't forget to check out Aphrodite Lacquers shop!!

It's my Birthday (and I'll slack if I want to) :D!

LOLOL!

So! It is indeed my birthday today. I am turning 26. I shall keep things short and sweet today, cuz what the title says lol. I decided to spend my day in Two of my favorite colors EVARRRR! I was having trouble deciding between A England Dragon and A England St. George. Then I had an "Old El Paso Moment" and decided, Why not both? lolol
I just did basic alternating nails in St.George (Holo Teal) and Dragon(Sage Green/Gold Holo). I also thought it would be nice to update you on the current status of my nubs. They are coming in nicely and the shapes are finally starting to look somewhat even. After I had the break on my Middle nail, my Index went too :(. So once again, I nubbed them all out. I'm glad they are at least pretty even on length now.

Also, I did some updates on my Let them have Polish You Tube channel last nite! Head on over there to see my makeup stash and storage!

I can't be too bummed out at my nubs when they look so pretty in these Two amazing polishes. A England shall get me through this growth time haha! I'm off to celebrate my 26th B-Day now!!!! I might take tomorrow off depending on how much fun I have today hahahha!

#AwesomeNailsAreAwesome Guest Week! Featuring Jeanette The Swatchaholic

Good Morning and happy Caturday!!

Today is "nail crush day" here at LTHP. The Two ladies in charge of today's guests posts have been my biggest nail crushes for a long time!! I love all different shapes and sizes of nails but a true stand-out in nail perfection is Jeanette of The Swatchaholic. Jeanette has beautiful hands and nails and everything she does is perfection, from execution to photographs. I can't get enough of J's amazing nails! I really HIGHLY suggest clicking these to make them larger!
---

Cristina is one of my biggest nail crushes and I admire her and her stunning nail art skills. She is so talented and I am always in awe with her creations. ❤

When Cris asked me if I would like to write a guest post I was honored and then a little terrified about which manicure I could make. But when I recently made my
first baby steps with water marbling I knew that my next water marble would be for Cris. :)
Last week finally a store from the Turkish brand Flormar opened in my town and of course I went a little shopping crazy. The reason why I was especially excited about the
opening is one of their nail polish ranges which previously wasn't available in Germany: The Supershine Miracle Colors. They are glass flecks heaven and their finish is comparable to the
Color Club Take Wing, Orly Cosmic FX or the Bettina Disco collections. There are 34 of them in Flormar's assortment and I bought most of them the day the store opened. But hey they were on sale! :D
This water marble is just my second water marble ever and it took quite some time because my first choice of colors just worked ok-ish together. I couldn't get a nice flower design on
my ring finger and pinkie nails because the colors didn't spread nicely enough in the water. Lesson one for water marbling learned: if possible marble with nail polishes from the same brand.
I left the old marble - a subtle shimmery blue water marble - on my nails and picked Flormar U25 (a vibrant glass fleck nail polish with a blue jelly base and pink/green duochrome glass flecks) and Flormar DC03 (a copper/gold/green metallic duochrome from their current limited edition) and this time they've spread perfectly in the water and creating the flower design was much easier.
I only needed two water marble flowers for this attempt and now my wishlist for more of their nail polishes got even longer because these worked so perfect for marbling even
for a beginner like me. :)
Glass flecks I love thee! I could stare at close-ups of glass flecks nail polishes for ever. :D

I hope you all enjoyed my second baby step in water marbling and thank you so much Cris for having me here on your blog. Get well soon love! *squishes* ❤
----
Ummm!?? Are you kidding me?! These are just fantastic!! I've never really seen a marble like this one. I love the "oil-slick" look she created with these beautiful polishes. I'm actually a little speechless at how beautiful these are. Just look at that macro shot!!! If you don't drool over that... Then you must not have a soul or something lol because it's just STUNNING! Thank you SO much Jeanette for this stunning nail art you have created!

Deborah Lippmann Swagga Like Us and Sugar Daddy

Happy Sunday!!

Today I have Two metallic duochromes by Deborah Lippmann. I was lucky enough to receive these as a gift from the lovely people at Neiman Marcus- Millenia.

Deborah Lippmann Swagga Like Us
This is Swagga Like Us. This polish is in the same family as Chanel Peridot and O.P.I Just Spotted the Lizard. This is a rich Coppery- Golden with a Peacock tone duochrome. The duochrome is much more evident in the bottle than it is on the nail and that is my problem with all of these shades. They look SO mind blowing in the bottle but on the nail they are not nearly as spectacular. The formula on this polish is really easy to work with and it is not as brush strokey as I was expecting it to be. As it dries the strokes completely disappear. I used Two coats for this swatch.

Deborah Lippmann Sugar Daddy
Sugar Daddy is a lovely Champagne toned metallic with flashes of a Rosey duochrome. This polish is a lovely concept but it does not work well with my skin tone. I really like how it looks like vintage jewelry. The formula on this polish was also great to work with and much like Swagga Like Us the brush strokes disappear as it dries. Like many of these metallic duochromes this polish is not without its dupes. If you love this shade but are not feeling that price tag then check out Nails Inc. in Stratford.
I hope you guys have a great Sunday. I will have some comps of my suspected dupes really soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

KAYS Swatchy Spam!!

Happy Friday!!!!

Today I have some swatchy spam brought to you by the indie brand KAYS. I was contacted by Sharon some weeks ago to review some of her pretties. Because I love me some indie brands with the passion I jumped at the chance to get to know another talented lady and her beautiful polishes. She sent me some amazing creations and I could not wait to wear them which is why it took me a while to work my way through these. How am I supposed to just swatch these and move on lol? No, no... these needed to be WORN!
You wanna see close-ups of these, trust me :D!

Bettina Disco and Color Club Glassfleck Comparisons

Hi and happy hump day!

This post is really quick! I've had a lot of requests to do some comparisons of the Bettina Disco Collection and the Color Club Take Wing Collection over Black. So here ya go loves!
And there you have it :D. Sorry I messed up when I was painting the wheel lool but you guyes get what is going on right? They are pretty much the same over Black. The trick to the Color Club polishes is to keep a light hand and do a thinner coat (just one) over Black to get the duochrome to come out and play.

Final verdict: You need the Color Club Take Wing Collection whether you were lemming the Bettina Disco Collection or not. The Disco Collection was very LE anyways.... So get your hands on these Color Clubs while they last because they are spectacular!

  Be back later!
