Muffin Monday!! Julie G Dream in Pretty

Hello my lovelies and happy Muffin Monday!!

Sorry about today's post being so late. Muffin mad her pick yesterday. Muffin picked like a boss this week. I set up and Mr. LTHP lured her to the room and she made her pick on the first try. She went for an adorable color from the Julie G line by Jesse's Girl called Dream in Pretty

For some reason I was feeling tropical so this is the look I came up with for Muffin's pretty pick.
I started with a base of Two easy coats of Dream in Pretty. On my Middle and Ring fingernails I did some Sunset inspired gradients with Julie's Fave and Dream in Pretty. I topped my gradients off with Seche Vite followed by a thin, sparkly coat of INM Northern Lights. For the all the stamps I used a plate I got in a swap with a Dutch friend and Konad Black Special Polish. I do not know the brand of the plate but it was number SdP-71. I then went back and free-handed the Black ground under my Palm trees with Cult Nails Nevermore. I ended up really loving this look... And kinda wishing I was on a beach with a Corona in my hand...

Here is a look at Muffin's pick, and my base color, Dream in Pretty. This is one of those pretty Lilac- Pink creme shades that I cannot get enough of. The formula on this shade was SO amazing. It has just the right amount of pigmentation and it is very self-leveling. I used Two coats for full opacity.
The Julie G line by Jesse's Girl recently had an expansion of 27 colors and I kinda wish I had access to them.. Silly Florida not having Rite Aids :(... BUT, I keep hearing that the more we request on Ulta's FB that they carry Jesse's Girl the sooner they might do so!! So lets all go over to the Ulta FB page and ask for Jesse's Girl cosmetics at their stores!

Thanks for stopping by!!

#AwesomeNailsAreAwesome Guest Week! Featuring Carolina of Colores De Carol

Good morning!

Rolling on right with the awesome is my very good friend Carolina of Colores De Carol.. This girl is a gem and I love her to bits and thank her so much for taking from her time to come up with this beautiful nail art for my awesome readers. This is classic Carolina. She always does great combinations of stamps and techniques.
--

When Cristina invited me to do a guest post for her blog I couldn't believe it,  I love her blog, she's so talented and has a great imagination doing nail art.
I love Cristina, so much, we started blogging almost at the same time and we were sharing our passion for nails since we met online  two years ago.
Today I have for you this manicure, I used a-england Perceval, a gorgeous metallic red. I applied two easy coats. On my ring finger I use a black creme nail polish and applied red hex glitter over the entire nail.
I stamped the rest of my nails using an image for a plate QA16 I got from eBay.

I hope you all enjoy what I did for you,
Cristina, I wish you the best, feel better soon!
Love,
Carolina

I just love this, and those of you who have been following Carol for a while know what I mean what I say that is just just SOO Carol! She's amazing at what she does!! Thank you soo much Carolina♥.

Pink Wednesday!! Cult Nails Devious Nature gets Captivated

Happy Pink Wednesday!!!

Today I have a mani that I was literally excited to work on. Sometimes ideas hit me like a ton of bricks and lately I felt like I needed that because I was feeling like I was stuck in some kind of rut. Pink Wednesdays always inspire me! Why? Because I love Pink!!! And today I have on two colors that I hope I never run out of....
SO! There is quite a bit going on here but I love this! I have on Devious Nature with accent nails in Captivated. Then I sponged the tips of my Devious Nature nails with Captivated and finished the whole thing off with some flower stamps from a fauxnad plate C02 and some Pink rhinestones.

Here is my base. I love everything about Devious Nature. I could not have a better formula, brush, pigmentation etc. This is easy, one of my top Pinks. And we all know about the epicness that is Captivated. Maria really outdid herself with these two babies, don't you think?
I hope ya'll like this as much as I do. These are definitely not for the shy of hand though :).

Happy hump day!

Jordana Tangy & Sephora by O.P.I Only Gold for Me

Hi lovelies!!

Today I have a combo that could brighten any one's day! This is one of my newer additions to my collection. I wish I had not avoided Orange for so long because lately that is all I seem to want to wear and I don't have many Oranges. Well for today I did a super pretty and tropical inspired mani with one of my new faves!
Isn't this so cute and Summery?! For the flower accents I used plate C02 and Konad Red special polish. The Gold glitter really brings this whole look to life. I really love Only Gold for Me. The tone of Gold is very soft. Unlike Milani's bright, almost Yellow, Gold FX. I also really love that it consists of different sized glitters because it gives the look more dimension. I did my thumb with the same design as my ring finger.

Here is a swatch of Tangy. A Salmony- Orange creme with very slight muted qualities. The formula on this is very good. It flows nicely and has great pigmentation. This is Two coats of Tangy.
I need more Oranges in my life. It's only a matter of finding the right Oranges for my skin tone and I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to trying colors so this should be fun. So with that in mind I ask you lovelies...

Do you like Orange on your nails?

Ulta 3 Pacific Fever

Hi!

Today I have another pretty from my swap with Gilded Nails. This one is the AMAZING Ulta 3's Pacific Fever. I've never seen anything like this. I'm pretty much in awe of this color.
Plate: A01, Konad SP White
Sooo... Where do I start? This is one of the prettiest colors I have in my entire collection. It's a creamy shimmer that looks like I layered polishes to achieve the look, except I did not. The sparkle in this just seems to float on the beautiful Turquoise base. Pacific Fever, how I wish you had an American dupe lol. I honestly have never seen a color quite like this one. The formula on this is flawless. This is two effortless coats and for the first time ever Qtica's Extending Top Coat (I'll let you know how that goes in a few weeks lol).
And there you have one of the most amazing polishes in my collection. It's just flawless... That is all there is to it! A big thank you to Carina for sending me this beauty.

Thoughts?

Pink Wednesday!! Orly Elsbeth's Rose [FAIL]

Yes, a fail on a Pink Wed... How is that possible? Keep reading....

Some of you may remember me Tweeting this: "Ugh... Every time I look at my nails, I doubt I can eat the amount I want to vomit!!! I hate this mani"....Yeah... it was in regards to this monstrosity...

For today I have an old color of mine re-visited. I remember posting about this color waaay back when I first started blogging. The pictures were terrible, so was my application and the shape of my nails. Also, I was coming into my own writing style and still figuring out different polish finishes, descriptions etc.... Those were the days lol.
Well today I knew I wanted to wear Elsbeth's Rose again and I had a clear picture in my head of what I wanted to do with the color. The fates had something else in store for me.... A terrible FAIL of a Fauxnadicure.... That ruined my beautiful Pink base! Grrrr! Gird your loins...
Ugh.... And there you have it.... My idea was to create shadows of the flower with the layering of the stamps but something about it just did not translate at all. Instead it ended up looking sloppy and forced. I tried really hard to like it and I could not bring myself to do so lol.

Now, about the color itself. Elsbeth's Rose is a stunning soft Pink creme with slight Lavender undertones and a soft Silvery micro sparkle that gives the polish a pearly finish. There is a slight dustiness to this color. The formula on this is kinda thick and a bit gluggy. I had to be very careful with application and keep my hand as light as I could to avoid streaking and unevenness. If you can get over that fact the color is really beautiful and flattering on it's own and I so regret adding the stupid stamps!
It was overcast today :(

I actually was wearing the color by itself for a few hours because I wanted to go hang out with my momma so I just did the Pink base and ran out the door. The whole time I kept staring at my hands thinking "I don't know if I should stamp this..." Lesson learned....

Final Verdict? FAIL tab for sure!

Truffle Thursday Time!

It's been some time right?

Truffle decided she wanted to pick me a color this week so I let her do just that.
So this is the lovely Bettina #28. This is an amazing Plum base with a lovely Fuchsia shimmery flash throughout. The formula on this is amazingly smooth and a solid two coater. I love the shimmer in this. In dim light it just looks like a shimmery Plum but in the Sun all these lovely flashes of Pinky color come out to play. Also a quick note on the stamp. This brand doesn't really have a name. It can be found on eBay or Born Pretty Store. Truffle picked me a good one this week :)!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Bettina #187

Oh Bettina!

You and your gorgeous cremes! I love glitter, I love shimmer, I love anything flashy but above all I love me a good creme polish... And Bettina delivers lovely creme finishes with the most amazing formulas. I never have to wonder if a color will apply well or not, they are always amazing! Here is the lovely #187.
So #187 is a lovely Fuchsia creme that is so amazingly flattering. I have a zillion Berry shades and somehow this one manages to be unique in my collection. The formula on this shade is buttery smooth and has great pigmentation, it could have been left at one coat but I used Two coats. A top coat with these polishes is pretty much a formality as they are very shiny on their own. Lately I've been craving light and girly looks and this was right up my alley today :)! This shade was a gift from my best friend, who has awesome taste!

Are you A glitter gal, a creme gal... Shimmer? Which is your favorite finish? Annnd only a few more days to enter my giveaway!!

Muffin Mondays!! Claire's Mood Polish

Muffin was Moody...

Not really, she's the best kitty ever!

Claire's Mood Polish Peaceful/ Confident
This is the finish these dry to. Satin smooth.
With top coat.
The color change is barely noticeable on this one. It's darker toward the tips.
Silver flowers and a Hello Kitty :)
"Peaceful/ Confident" is a medium Green-ish Teal that changes to a lighter Teal. The color change on this particular mood polish is practically unnoticeable. The formula is pretty good. These have to be applied with a light, even hand because if you go over the same spot it will drag and you will get bald spots. The formula is not bad and it's not great on this one, a bit thick maybe. I only needed two coats for this manicure. This is a cute polish. I need to try something else with it... We shall see ;).

Thanks for reading :),

Elsbeth's Rose

Oh the beauty!

I just recently purchased some Orly Polishes(follow link to view collection:). I had such a good experience with my first Orly creme that I just had to get other colors, in that mini haul was this little pink gem... Which as it turns out was not entirely creme :)

Orly: Elsbeth's Rose
Indoors w/o Flash
Artificial light w/ Flash
Direct Sunlight
Sunlight w/ Flash
Indoors, natural light w/ Flash. This is the most color accurate.
I am in love with this pink. It's soft  but not boring, it has some slight purple undertones that take it out of that "naked look" zone. It's like an orchid type of pink...The finish on it is really interesting because its more of a pearl than it is a creme. It depends on lighting, I love it. My nails look like little pink pearls. Application was smooth and easy and it dried very shiny. The color was opaque in two coats and as always it was topped off with a coat of Seche Vite which only made it more beautiful.

Thanks for reading :)

O.P.I Jade is the new Black

...it's also fashionable...

I am not much for following seasons in nail polish colors... I buy what I like and I wear it when it speaks to me... I recently went out and got myself several new O.P.I colors (You can follow link to see new colors) and in the bunch was the beautiful "Jade is the new Black" from their Hong Kong Spring Collection. I had to get it on my nails, like STAT... And I am so glad I did, I am in love with this color, probably one of my new faves along with another color from the same haul that I have on my toes and I have to post about. Anyways I am rambling.. Let me post something you guys actually want to see :)

OPI Jade is the New Black
Hong Kong Collection
I was inspired by the collection itself for the design :)
This is such a stunning green shade. Truly a jade green and I think this would look great on most skin tones :). It was opaque in two coats and it went on perfectly smooth of course. O.P.I never disappoints me.

Until my next post :)

I'm a Rebel...

That's right.... It's a pedi post!!

You know... there seems to be a lack of feet in these blogs. I dont do my tootsies as often as I do my finger nails so I don't really plan to show my feet a whole lot on the blog. Butttt.... I received my Konad Nail Stamping Kit today ....Aaaand.... Well I just had to try the special polish. I didn't want to stamp over my Orly Space Cadet since I was really enjoying the color. So, I stamped my toes instead and they turned out reeeally cute.

So indulge me for a moment. I was a little disappointed with the Konad stamper and scraper. I was hoping for better ones than the ones that came with my cheapy Chinese plates from eBay. Here is a pic.
Chinese on Left, Konad on Right.
Ok onto the special polish. It works great. It's thick. It's bright. Done lol. Oh the pink is really pretty, kinda shimmery. That's all :).

Anyways... Onto the actual reason for my post. Here it is!! A picture of my cute pedi using the Konad Special Polish.

Mah tootsies! This color is more berry than red but this is how it photographed:(

Until my next post,
