Zoya Metallics Mini Spam

Hi hello!!!

Today I have another micro spam post. Today's post is all Zoya!!! More specifically Zoya Metallics... Well except for the lovely Midori. The lovely fairies at Zoya sent me these babies with the intentions of my using them for nail art. Trust me I fully intend to :D! But First! I wanted to swatch these pretties out to "test" their opacity and formulas.
This is the amazing Midori. This color is something else. This is the most amazing shade of Lime Green Shimmer with slight Golden flashes throughout. This is one of the most beautiful Greens I have ever seen.

Behold! Goldie! OMGGG This color is amazing!!! This one is a bright warm toned Gold. This one really caught me off guard because I could not believe how amazing it looked on the nail. I have a friend that had a color that was pretty darn close to this color. I love that it is a smooth foil Golden finish and that it is not cursed with brushstrokes.

Penny. The name is so dead on. This color is the exact color of a brand new shiny penny. This one is amazing Coppery goodness!

Austine. This one is described by Zoya as a soft pale gold metallic frost with subtle light orange and peach tones flecked with fine silver shimmer. This was the frostier of the shades and will probably be the best for stamping.

And this is Tess. I was also having a hard time describing this baby so once more I referenced Zoya. This one is a metallic light plum rose with pink, bronze and mauve undertones and silver foil shimmer. A classic fall shade but with a fun foil-like finish. I actually really like how this looks on my nails.

All of these polishes were solid Two coaters with the most amazing formulas. My biggest concern when I was trying these was that they would be brustrokey or too sheer OR even worse.. Frosty (GAG). My concerns were unwarranted... It's ZOYA! They all applied perfectly smooth and shimmery but not strokey.

One of the most common topics I get a lot of questions on is stamping and polishes that are good for stamping. Metallics are always amazing for this purpose. They stand out and can give simple polishes a sophisticated, flashy look. I will be experimenting with these pretties soon to show you guys just how great Metallics are for stamping, especially these Zoya beauties, who I must say caught me off guard. I am glad I swatched them first.

Stamping experiments coming soon!!

Essie Jam 'n' Jelly + China Glaze Tarnished Gold

I am <3<3<3 with this combo!

I freaking love anything that's Bollywood inspired. I love the colors, textures and patterns. Have you guys ever seen a Bollywood movie? It's like an explosion of color on the screen. Well this combo today reminds me of something like the fabric on a beautiful Sari.

I am really happy with Tarnished Gold. It is a true Gold crackle. The formula is a little sheer but as it crackles the color becomes more intense. The formula for this crackle is easy to work with. This is Tarnished Gold over Essie's Jam 'n' Jelly.

And this is the spectacular Jam 'n' Jelly by Essie. This pretty came from my Apothica haul. This is a color that I bought on a whim. The picture on Apothica looked pretty and when I tried to look up swatches I could not find a whole lot about the color or many good swatches. I'm super happy with this purchase though. It's an amazing, somehow warm, Fuchsia shimmer and the formula is to die for! The formula is so pigmented that I almost could have done with one coat. This is Two effortless coats of color.
I only picked up two of the metallic crackles but I am super excited to try the next one. And Essie... Oh Essie how you have grown on me...

Happy Friday!

SpaRitual Twisted Vine + Golden Rule

Hai!

Today I have some more colors from my recent Apothica haul. This is a brand that I was never really curious about because I've read that it's basically Orly in a different bottle... But moving on... I did manage to find two mini pretties that I figured would be a good introduction to the brand and I'm very curious now....

This is Golden Rule. A pretty Gold glitter suspended in a clear base. I love the glitters in this. It is a mix if small and even smaller Gold glitters. For this I only did one coat of Golden Rule over Twisted Vine.

And this is the lovely Twisted Vine. An amazing Hunter Green creme. This is such an awesome Fall color IMO. However this does look very familiar to Orly's Enchanted Forest.  The formula was good and easy to work with. For this I did Two coats of Twisted Vine.
I really love this combo and I'm thinking waaaay ahead here... Wouldn't this be an awesome holiday mani?

Essie Tart Deco + Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow

Hi loves!!

Today I have a super pretty combo. I know I just recently did a Peachy- Gold- Red mani but this one has a little something special going on... Deborah Lippmann's Boom Boom Pow. This had been a long time lemming of mine that I never thought would actually make it to my collection. I got these two pretties in my recent Apothica haul.
So for this I sponged Boom Boom Pow over Essie's Tart Deco. Then I stamped using this pretty flower design from Konad Plated M9 in Konad Red special polish. Just for fun after it was all said and done I decided it needed a rhinestone and that pulled the whole look together for me.
Now I know Boom Boom Pow is steep at $20 a pop but I have the kind people of Apothica to thank for a sponsorship that allowed me to get a lot of Essie pretties along with this Golden stunner. BBP is full of WIN. I love all the different sized glitters in it and I love the super micro fine glitter that floats in the clear base. I also love that it is a true, bright Gold. According to the Deborah Lippmann website there is 24k Gold powder in this. I assume they mean the micro fine particles that float in the clear base giving it a Golden- cloudy look. This is just amazing and I can't wait to layer it over everything.

Essie's Tart Deco is a beautiful bright Peachy creme. The formula for this was slightly annoying. It was just a tad streaky but not too terrible. For this I used Three coats of color.
And there you have one of my favorite manis to date! I am so in love with Boom Boom Pow and Tart Deco as well. Tart deco is Summer perfection and so flattering. I am so happy to finally have some Essie's I can get excited about in my collection. I could not be more pleased with Boom Boom Pow. I mean just look at it!! It's amazing.

Jordana Tangy & Sephora by O.P.I Only Gold for Me

Hi lovelies!!

Today I have a combo that could brighten any one's day! This is one of my newer additions to my collection. I wish I had not avoided Orange for so long because lately that is all I seem to want to wear and I don't have many Oranges. Well for today I did a super pretty and tropical inspired mani with one of my new faves!
Isn't this so cute and Summery?! For the flower accents I used plate C02 and Konad Red special polish. The Gold glitter really brings this whole look to life. I really love Only Gold for Me. The tone of Gold is very soft. Unlike Milani's bright, almost Yellow, Gold FX. I also really love that it consists of different sized glitters because it gives the look more dimension. I did my thumb with the same design as my ring finger.

Here is a swatch of Tangy. A Salmony- Orange creme with very slight muted qualities. The formula on this is very good. It flows nicely and has great pigmentation. This is Two coats of Tangy.
I need more Oranges in my life. It's only a matter of finding the right Oranges for my skin tone and I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to trying colors so this should be fun. So with that in mind I ask you lovelies...

Do you like Orange on your nails?

Sinful Colors Dream On + NYX Gilded Glitter

YES!

YES and yes! So my awesome Mr. LTHP picked this beauty up for me while away on a work trip. His reasoning: He saw it, he liked it, he got it for me :). Did I mention I have an amazing husband?

I can see why this jumped out at him... Dream On is an awesome neon Red based Purple creme. When I say neon I mean NEON. Sadly, my camera is not too fond of these types of colors and always does funky things to them but I get the general gist of this color right? It is so in your face bright and awesome! This dries a bit matte since it's neon. The formula was just a tad streaky but nothing a light hand cant handle. This is Two coats.

Then I added two coats of NYX's Gilded Glitter. This is basically small Gold flakie style glitter with micro gold glitter packed in a clear base. Let me tell you about how much I love this. It's a flakie style, it's a bright Gold, it can be built up as much or as little as I want and it applies like a dream. I also love that it lays flat and no matter how many coats I layered it remained smooth in finish. I suggest clicking the last macro shot of the awesomeness that is this polish. I really love this combo a lot! The Gold really complimented the neon Purple. This is Two coats.

I have a few more NYX glitters to try out and I cannot wait! They have really fun and funky glitters that are driving me crazy with how awesome they are and how much I don't need them but want them!

You may have heard about a contest Bundle Monster is holding on Facebook where they will be giving away 25 sets of their new plates. I have entered a picture and would really appreaciate if you would check it out and vote (but only if you like it) All you have to do is click (HERE) and leave a comment on the picture. I'm honestly not 100% sure on what is going (as far as voting) on but I encourage my lovelies to check it out and enter and vote!

Have you ever tried NYX?

Zoya Danni & Zoya Jules (muchas pics)

Double feature today.

I'm showing these polishes together because they are fraternal twins. Jules being a shimmery Taupe and Dannii being Jules Purple toned sister.
  First up is Dannii:
Click for detail. This is a bit more Golden in person.

And this is the lovely Jules:
Danii and Jules are the Two shimmers in the Intimate Collection. They are both Golden based shimmers and have excellent Two- coat formulas. They both dry to a satin- matte like texture which is quite interesting. Once a top coat is added they really come to life. There is a fabric like look to both of these polishes, like silk is covering your nails. These were the Two colors from the collection I was the least excited about but I still had to have them because they are stunning and excellent go- to/ pedi colors. They are both very flattering and easy on the eyes. I want cozy cardigans in these colors now... Maybe it's time to go shopping...

I love Spring. Do you?

Orly Fantasea

Ooooo Pretty!
Fantasea is China Glaze's Awakening Lilac toned sister. This is absolutely beautiful. Just like Awakening this polish has the most amazing Golden shimmer throughout. Orly's Fantasea is very flattering eye catching. The formula is amazing. This one is a little on the sheer side so I had to use Three coats of color to achieve full opacity. This shade has that same delicate vintage as Awakening vibe that's so soft and pretty and that I'm totally crazy about! What's not to love?

Golden Duochromes are growing on me more and more!

Dazzling X-mas!

Loud?

Maybe? I was inspired by Christmas ornaments for this one. Lot's of color and lots of sparkle!

And here is a swatch of the amazing Orly Dazzle:

Dazzle is a bright Silver foil base with the added punch of micro Silver glitter added to the mix. The formula is amazingly smooth and well pigmented. For this mani I used to coats of Dazzle as my base. I really like it by itself even though it is so bright. I really love how my nails look from far away when I wear it.

Christmas Ruffian

Hello lovelies,

I decided to attempt a Ruffian style mani once again because I think they are so cool looking. I still need some practice but I am pleased with the finished mani.

Used O.P.I Off with Her Red! because I wanted an opaque, bright Red so that the
foil effect would not peek through.
Just for fun here is a Swatch of China Glaze's Midnight Kiss:
Midnight Kiss is absolutely amazing. For this mani I used Two coats as my base. You could easily get away with one coat but I really wanted a strong foil effect. Application is a dream, I didn't even need to clean up when I was done painting my base. I don't normally like Gold but this one I just couldn't resist. I think it's because it's a bright true Gold tone, not Orange-y- Gold.

What do you guys think?

China Glaze Phat Santa

Red Perfection!

China Glaze Phat Santa
'Tis the Season to be Naughty or Nice

"Phat Santa" is an amazing Red Jelly polish that totally tickles my pickle. I don't normally like Reds but this one is a darker, well pigmented Red, right up my alley. I only needed Two coats for coverage and the formula is amazing on this as well. Applying Reds makes me nervous for some reason but this one was so easy to work with. As you an see I'm totally into the this taping technique, it's just so fun and easy to do. I'm so in the Holiday mood!

Speaking of Holidays... I need to start shopping!
