Random Hard Candy Glittah Swatches!

(**Press Samples**)

So, I found these random Hard Candy glittery swatches sittin in my drafts folder... So, I figured, what good are they there? Let me just go ahead and post these.. Since it has only been about Three years since  I posted about nails. K, I may be exaggerating a bit on the Three years, but it definitely feels like it. So, yeah, GLITTER!!
 photo HCCollage_zps69f4453b.jpg
All swatches are shown with a top coat of KBShimmer Clearly on top to smooth the surface and bring out shine.

Hard Candy Fireworks over O.P.I In the Cable Carpool Lane
Hard Candy's Firework is from the Crystal Confetti Collection. This pretty  glitter topper is made up of bright Red Bars and Hexes in varying sizes. As well as Blue, deep Fuchsia and Violet glitters. For my layering I chose a deep that kind of matched the glitters itself. I believe the base on this glitter is slightly tinted Pink. I used one generous coat of Firework over my base color.

Hard Candy Fire Flash over O.P.I First Date at the Golden Gate
Fire Flash is a beautiful glitter topper that I was, pretty much, convinced I would hate. This pretty comes from the Glitteratzi collection.  Well, surprise surprise.. It is just amazing on, and really unique. This pretty is made up of all Copper glitter accented with Red hexes. The Red hexes are fairly sparse and for the most part you only get smaller bits of densely packed Copper glitter. Turns out this pretty is also very unique in my collection. I found the Copper glitter to have no dupes in my collection.

Hard Candy Glamour Girl over O.P.I Lost on Lombard
Glamour Girl is part of the Glitteratzi Collection as well. This cute topper is made up of micro Pink sparkles accented by vibrant pink hexes. I think this polish could also be worn on its own as the small Pink sparkle was packed really densely in the clear base. I used one generous coat of glitter over my base color.

So GLITTERRR!!!! Speaking of which... The Holidays are a-comin, which means you will be seeing A LOT of glitter and sparkle. Which means I need to keep up on my moisturizing so that my fingertips don't fall off with all the sparkly goodness I have to show you guys!!

Are any of these pretties speaking to you? They are awesome-o!! I know Hard Candy just released some new nail polish shades, and doing away with some of their current shades. I *think* these Three are still a part of their lineup though. Hard Candy polish is available at Walmart stores.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Monday Lippy Spamalamadingdong!!

(**Milani and Hard Candy Press Samples**)
Good afternoon lovelies!!

For this edition of Monday spam I am sharing a TON of lippy swatches! I've become quite the lip color fiend. I remember a time when I feared lip color, and I feel so SILLY when I think back to those days. To me (now), a good look is not complete until I add some mascara and a fierce pout! I've ventured into wearing bold Reds, extreme mattes and mastering OCC lip tars. As you can see, I just LOVE the bright shades. I'm having troubles finding nude tones that look good with my skin tone... So I'll just stick to my brights instead ;).
Since there are lots of pics I am doing a jump. To see close ups of these pretties just continue reading ♥.

Hard Candy- Candy Sprinkles Skittle Nails

(**Press Sample**)
Good afternoon!

Today I have a sweet skittle mani I did using some of my new Hard Candy nail polish shades. These are all from the Candy Sprinkles collection. As you can see, these cuties are heavily inspired by the "glitter sammich" concept. This group is made up of Nine creamy-glitter polishes. Today I am sharing a cute skittle mani with Five of these pretties.
From thumb to Pinkie:
Gummy Green: A creamy-jelly, muted Mint-colored base, with Silver and Black small hexagonal glitter. This particular shade had one of the better formulas. I used Three thin coats for full coverage and to get a really good "mint-chip ice cream" effect going on.
Pixie Pink: A creamy-jelly, light milky Blue-Based Pink. The small hexagonal glitters in this one are Teal, Silver and Pink. I used Three thin coats. The formula on this shade was nice and easy to work with.
Sweet Tooth: A jelly, almost White pink packed with Blue, Pink and Silver glitter. This was the most sheer of all the colors I tried. I used Three decent coats but the formula was great and easy to work with.
Jelly Bean Blue: A creamy base, Powdery Blue packed with Blue and Black glitter. I found the  formula on this shade to be patchy and a little problematic. A light and patient hand is key with shades like this one. I used Three coats.
Sugar Rush: A white creamy base packed full of Black and Silver glitter. I had the same formula issues with this shade as I did with Jelly Bean Blue. Three coats as well.
Below are some macros of these yummy looking polishes.
Even though the formulas are kind of.. all over the place... I really am not bothered by that and really ended up loving these polishes. I'm glad that an affordable polish line came out with these "speckled/ sprinkled" polishes. These all seemed to even out well at Three coats and they all wore really well. I think I had these on for about Four days, no chips, no shirnkage. Before application it is best to give these polishes a good shake, they like to settle a bit. These babies to require a good top coat to bring out the shine and smooth the surface. I used Two coats of KBShimmer Clearly on Top top coat and I had absolutely ZERO shrinkage (YAYAYAYAY Praise the polish gods).

Have you tried any of these new Hard Candy polishes? They are available at Wal-Mart and Online as well. For the price, these are adorable little polishes and I really love what hard Candy did with the glitter-sammich looks. I like all of these quite a lot ♥.

Any faves?

Muffin Monday!! Viridian Vinyl

Good Morning loves and happy Muffin Monday!!

Today I limited Muffin's picks to Orly colors. I feel like I don't give Orly enough love. I also feel like out of all the big brand name brands Orly "Wow's" me the least. I don't know what it is but their colors just feel tired to me. It seems like once in every collection they have a really amazing color and the rest are just ok, to me. I really like their "specialty" collections like the Cosmic FX and the more recent Mineral FX collections. The pretty Muffin picked today comes from their Plastix Collection.

I remember this color being one of my very first lemmings. I could not go on without having this color in my collection and I searched high and low until I found it, that was an awesome day. I could go on and on about my feelings on my older polishes back from when I first started blogging, but this could turn into a very long post. I love being able to look back at colors fondly now hahahah!!
To see Muffin's pick in action just keep reading.

31 Day Challenge! Day 25- Inspired by Fashion

Hi darlings!!

First thing is first: A BIG Happy Birthday to my bestest friend EVER!! Miss Lizy!! I love you and I can't wait to see you in a few weeks!!! ♥

Today's challenge task is a really fun one. The list called for nails inspired by fashion. I immediately knew what I wanted to use as my inspiration. I used to be really big into Project Runway and the last season I remember had one of my favorite contestants ever, besides Christian Siriano that is. I am speaking of Mondo Guerra. His work is unique and colorful. I also love his play with colors and patterns. The dress I chose was from what should have been his Project Runway winning collection.
I love the crap out of this dress! I would wear it any day lol!

For this look I started with Three coats of Maybelline Colorama in Cupid's Wing. Then I dotted in Zoya Raven in varying sizes in a random pattern. Once that was dry I used strips of tape I had cut with a wavy craft scissor and did the Black corners in the wavy pattern to simulate the side panels of the dress. I intentionally inverted the colors of the Polka dots to have a bit more contrast. I topped it all off with a two coats of Hard Candy Matte-ly in Love.

These are fun and funky and I think Mondo would be proud! <3 Don't forget to check out Sam and Rie's blogs to see their Fashion nails!

31 Day Challenge! Day 21- Nails Inspired by a Color

Hi and happy Sunday!!

Today's task was quite the vague one... Inspired by a color? What does that even mean lol? I guess anything I want it to mean, right? Instead of being inspired by a color, I was inspired by a color scheme. When I think of Pink, I usually also put White and Black together with it. IDK why but I LOVE Black, Pink and White together. I could probably work in that color scheme for the rest of my blogging days and I would be happy. So for today's challenge I went with my favorite color scheme Black, White and Pink in a fun Mod design.
So I kept it pretty simple with the whole "circle within circle" thing. I really love simple yet eye- catching designs like this one. I started with a base of Jordana's Pink Bunny. Then with my largest Born Pretty Store dotting tool I added some Black dots using Bettina Onix. Using the smallest dotting tool in the set I then went back and dotted the center of the Black dots with China Glaze White on White. I also decided to spice it up a little bit my mattifying the look with two coats of Hard Candy's Matte-ly in Love.

I'm loving this look matte! Don't forget to check out Sam and Rie's blogs to see their Color inspired nails!

Hard Candy Sky and Bon Bons Blue Confetti

Hi loves!!

Today I have a pretty simple layering mani. I was feeling uber lazy and I was wanting to try this little Bon Bons glitter I had sitting around.
The little Bon Bons are unnamed so I've just been calling them Confetti Giltters. I know lol... Ground breaking originality there! hahaha Anyways it is just very tiny Blue bar glitters suspended in a clear base. This is very "young" looking but I liked the combination and they kind of liked like candies.

This is Hard Candy's Sky. I've worn this once before and I loved it. I wore it again.. and I love it even more. This soft Baby Blue and it's gorg shimmer is just so special in my collection. This is Three coats. the formula is ok. A bit draggy but not terrible.
Happy Thursday!!!

Pink Wednesday!! Bettina Pink Bikini + O.P.I Red Shatter + O.P.I White Shatter

Hi loves!!

For this Pink Wed. I have some majah layering. I decided to use one of my beauties I scored while at the Miami Beauty Show. I flippin' love this color so much! It's Pink, it's bold and it makes me happy to look at it.
So, Pink Bikini is a beautiful bright Pink creme unlike anything I own. This color reminds me a bit of O.P.I Pink Flamenco but give it a hint of dustiness and you get Pink Bikini. This color comes to us from their newest Summer Resort Collection. I only picked up two colors from this group but I'm thinking based on the Two I own that I'll have to find a way to score the rest of the colors. Pink Bikini has the typical Bettina formula that is made of awesomeness and pigmented goodness, two coats. I really love it with Red Shatter layered over it. Reminds me of Valentines Day. Again... Thinking waaaay ahead lol. After I added the White Shatter I did a top coat of Hard Candy's Matte-ly in Love because I love me some matted down shatters.

Happy Pink Wed!!

BYS Matte Grey

Today I have another BYS polish from my [swap] with Gilded Nails. This one is an awesome Matte Grey.
So this is how this polish dries. Not very Matte lol. It more so reminds me of a more shiny Orly Plastix finish. Kind of shiny satin? It's really pretty cool. The formula on this is good. A bit thick maybe? But I'm sure that's only because it is a "matte" polish. Here I did Two coats of Matte Grey.

However.... I really wanted to see it go fully matte so I added two coats of Hard Candy's Matte-ly in Love, matte top coat which gave it a super neat sort of rubberized look. Now this is more like it!
It's Grey, it's matte and super awesome. Carina really outdid herself with this swap package and the amazing polishes she sent my way. I can't wait for you guys to see the rest!

Thanks for stopping by,

Pink Wednesday!! Zoya Lolly

So I had a little poll going and...

You wanted to see the awesome Lolly! Ask and you shall receive! For this I decided to go retro and do some dotted "flowers" with Phoebe and Mitzi.  I'm really loving this mani!
Sorry this isn't great but I had already started losing Sunlight here :( so I used the Flash.
So... Lolly. She is an awesome Hot Pink matte finish creme. This color is so bright and the finish makes it even better! I found the formula on mine to be slightly thick but not problematic. This color has great pigmentation. I used Two coats of Lolly for my mani. Then I was feeling curious and decided to see if adding a matte top coat would alter the finish in any way so I added at coat of Hard Candy's Matte-ly in Love and as you can see it didn't change the finish much. The color remained matte as can be, so for those of you who have top coat OCD, like I do, a matte top coat will not mess up a matte finish polish, or at least that is the case with Lolly. If anything, it might help smooth the finish out a bit without altering the matte finish.

Also, I'd like some feedback on my new Sunlight Pictures. What do you ladies think? Are you liking the new pictures? I appreciate you feedback my lovelies, I wanna make sure my pictures are still pretty for you guys!

Happy Pink Wednesday!

Bettina 45 & Orion + 185 & Nova

Hello lovelies!

Today I some a core Bettinas to show you. This is the pretty #45 with a coat of Orion layered over it. I am lalalaloving these Two together. I also have a hard time believing that in Puerto Rico this brand sells for only $1.99!!! I thought it was a lot more than that lol! Please come to Florida and then take over the US Bettina!! We are all waiting lol!!

And I just had to try it Matte and I loved it even more!
In the pictures above I am holding Stars Orion. This polish is something along the lines of O.P.I Princesses Rule! but this is a slightly darker shade of Silvery Pink shimmer. For the photos I just used one coat of Orion over #45.

#45 is a basic light Nude-ish Pink creme that applies like a dream. This is a very basic color from their core collection. I really love the dustiness this color has and that it is very easy to wear but it does not give me mannequin hands. Once I had it on I saw how close it matched the base for Orion and I just had to experiment with layering!

I really love the layered polishes together. It gives an ethereal, soft look without being boring. Two perfect colors for my lazy days! haha

And then I decided that I wanted to try the second color from the Stars group which is Nova. These two colors are very sheer shimmers. They are lovely and ethereal on their own but I really wanted them to pop which is why I layered them over creamy colors that matched the Stars color base close. Here is Nova layered over #185.
Matte Of course!
And this is #185. Delicious chocolatey goodness is the best way to describe this. I should wear these types of colors more often, they look pretty against my skin. Anyways this was like applying hot chocolate on my nails. The formula was AMAAAZING on this one. This is a solid two-coater.

I am beyond loving these two combos. I really like the leayering matted because it gives my nails a beautifuls Suede- like appearance. These are cute versitile shades and awesome "defaults" :).

What's a color you should wear more but don't?

Holy Shattered Crackle Post! (pic heavy)

That's right! I hope you're comfy...

It's another Crackle post!! How many of you are getting sick of Crackle posts lol? I'm almost (key word lol) ready to give them a little break but before I do that I wanted to show you a bunch of manis I did using Crackles!

Here is O.P.I's Black Shatter over ChG Lighting Bolt over W'n'W Blazed. Shatter and Crackle sittin' in a tree...
Here is O.P.I Black Shatter over ChG Broken Hearted over Confetti Ice Ice Baby over O.P.I Black Onyx.. Got all that? haha

And here is Broken Hearted over Ice Ice Baby over O.P.I Black Onyx with a top coat of Hard Candy Matte-ly in Love.

Here is Lightning Bolt over W'n'W Blazed.
Here is Cracked Concrete over ChG Pelican Grey.

Cracked Concrete over ChG Dorothy Who?

Crushed Candy over ChG Atlantis. I am absolutely in love with this combo and the one above.

Here are Fault Line and Broken Hearted over ChG Pom Pom.

Here is Crushed Candy over W'n'W Lavender Pearlescent.
This is what happens when you don't wait for your base to fully dry :(
Here is Fault Line layered over Broken Hearted over W'n'W Bijou Blue. I liked it matte so I left it w/o a top coat.
Fault Line did not crackle much here but for some reason I ended up really loving this finished look.

Here is Broken Hearted over Wet 'n' Wild Bijou Blue.
So, I don't need to tell you all about how much I love these right? They are fun, funky and the perfect "nail art" for my lazy days! Make my nails look super cool with minimal effort? Yes, please!!! This collection is made of Crackle Win!

For all of the Matte pictures Hard Candy's Matte-ly in Love was used as a top coat. As many of you know I LOOOOOVE crackle manis matted, for some reason I think it shows the effect so much better. Plus I really like the rubberized look that this top coat gives my nails.

Ready for a Crackle break lol? Ready to try your luck at  My Giveaway?
