Jordana Playful Pastels Cotton Candy Gradient

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Tuesday beauties!! Today's look is a sweet pastel rainbow gradient I just had to do with the Playful Pastels collection by Jordana. I don't have much info on this collection.  They just showed up at my place, like a yummy little treat :D. I know it is available online from the Jordana site and they retail for $1.99. I'm not sure if it is limited edition or not, but something about this collection does feel LE. As you may have guessed, this cute release is made up of pastel shades, Six of them to be exact. These macaron- inspired shades have got me craving all things sweet.

Jordana Whimsical White- You guys can see this one here, because it is being used as the base for my gradient. Whimsical White is a lovely shade of marshmallowy white creme-jelly. The formula is wonderful and the finish is just adorable. I only needed Two coats.
Jordana Baby Blue- This shade is a classic, true baby blue creme-jelly. The formula on this pretty is definitely crelly and has a perfect squishy finish. I love how the crelly texture functioned in the gradient.
Jordana Merry Mint- This shade has the same type of formula as Baby Blue. Merry Mint is a perfect shade of pastel mint green. It is not a "vivid" pastel. It has a very delicate feel to it, just lovely.
Jordana Sunsational- This shade is a primary pastel yellow creme. It is a very warm shade of yellow and could be hard to pull off for some. In this gradient it shows up more as a more vibrant shade of pastel yellow. This shade has one of the denser formulas in the collection. I think it would do well in Two coats.
Jordana Pink Petunia- This is your classic pastel bubblegum pink creme. This shade also leans on the warmer side of pastel. The formula on this color is also fairly dense, and a true creme.
Jordana Lively Lilac- This pretty is another creme- jelly shade. Lively Lilac is slightly more pigmented than the baby blue and mint shade. The name say it all for this pretty shade of lilac crelly.

I topped my gradient off with a coat of Seche Vite, followed by a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. Then I sealed it off again in some Seche Vite to help with dry time. I love how soft and dreamy this gradient turned out. The sheerness of the mint and blue shade were bothering me at first, but the finished result changed my mind.

Thanks for coming by today!

BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette- "Brown Eyed Girl" Look feat. Pinky Paradise Geo X-tra Bella Brown Lenses & Maybelline Lavender Voltage

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Humpday!!

For today's post I want to share this eye look I did using my BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette. So, my natural eye color is a light Green. Sometimes they can look a bit more blue, sometimes a bit more icy Green. Therefore, I rarely wear Green eye makeup. I feel like Green eye makeup washes my eye color out. That is not to say that I don't love Green eye makeup. I think it is a beautiful color, and probably one of my favorite colors all around.
Enter my Pinky Paradise Geo Xtra Bella Brown circle lenses. I just love the look these lenses give my eyes (full face shots can be seen on my Instagram account @L_T_H_P). They add just the right touch of Brown, which makes my eyes look Hazel from further away. These Geo Bella Xtra lenses are some of my favorites. They give this dolly look that I am a complete sucker for. So anywho, with my newfound "Hazel" eyes I saw a window of opportunity to rock some Green makeup. So I did just that :D.
 photo BHcloseup-1_zps12158c1b.jpg
Since this look was done with a 40- color palette, non of the shadows used have actual names. I prepped my lid with an eyeshadow primer and proceeded to work with my BH Cosmetics Party Girl palette. I stuck to a softer color palette for a slightly smokey look. I found these shadows to have a smooth consistency. Some of the lighter Greens were a bit "dusty" and required extra layering of product to get some good color payoff. The Brown and more neutral shades I used on this look were all fantastic and have great pigmentation.

Since I can't name the colors, I went ahead and marked them with an asterisk on this image I got from the BH Cosmetics site. For the cateye I used Jordana Jade Jewel 12 hour eye liner. For my waterline I used Jordana in Espresso Last. For my lashes I used Ellis Faas Black mascara. I forget what I used on my brows :S.
 photo cedcbf4b-9ddb-4751-a3e2-a89a3e0146bd_zpsa42df23a.jpg

And as a "bonus" here is the lip color that went with this eye look. This is Maybelline Lavender Voltage from their Vivids collection. On this particular day I prepped my lips with the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics clear lip tap and then applied my lip color over it. I am so madly in love with this shade of lipstick. While it is a very vivid shade of Purple I still find it wearable as it has enough Pink to take it out of Goth territory.

Is there a color family that you love to see on other people but don't care for on yourself? I think for me, it will always be Green. I don't have a problem slapping on every other color on my face, but Green tends to make me nervous. That said, with the aid of my beautiful Brown lenses I feel much more comfortable going into Green makeup looks. I can't wait to play around with this palette some more. I think it has a great color and finish range.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Lippy Swatch Spam Time!

(**Some products were provided for my consideration**)
Happy Thursday my painted beauties!

Today I want to share some swatches of several lippies I can't seem to stop wearing as of late. Lately I've been kinda digging the nudey/neutral lips for some reason. I'm normally into the insanely bright shades, but lately I've been feeling "at home" in neutral-ish shades. Something about a nudey lip with light makeup makes me feel fresh and feminine.

LTHP Quickies! Jordana 12 Hr. Made to Last Liquid Eyeliner Pencils & Bold Liquid Felt Tip Liner

(**Press samples**)
Happy Tuesday!

This past weekend was pretty quiet for the husband and I. I was not doing too great and had to take it easy. Yesterday was not good either... Then, there was a not- so- nice comment in my inbox this morning... It not- so- kindly requested that I post something... "Post something already, I know you are depressed but c'mon".... Something along those lines.... How sweet, right?
I don't even know how to follow up to this comment. Let's just say it's not OK to talk to anyone this way. That is all. I am fairly transparent with you guys about my health struggles because this blog originated as a result of these very struggles. Every now and then these issues will rise up and get in the way of my ability to produce content. This is out of my control, and I know a lot of you are very understanding of this matter. Sometimes, no matter how badly I want to post, swatch or do nail art.. I just don't feel well enough to do so. This has nothing to do with my depression or mental state. This is a physical thing, my body is not running at 100%. I do as much as I can, when I can. I don't think I should even have to explain this... Oh wait, I don't. But, I won't lie... It was hurtful to see such a comment. Behind all these pretty pictures of nails, and behind every single word; there is a person. A real human being with real human feelings... and they can get hurt too.
Right... the #31DC2013... I still have not decided if I will continue on with it. There is A LOT going on in my "real life" right now. The husband and I are doing a BIG MOVE in a few short weeks so there are a lot of preparations that have to take place. In hindsight, it was not a good idea for me to join in the challenge, but I might still take on the prompts in my own time.
I have SO MUCH product I want to/need to go through. I really don't want the blog to go dead during the time it will take us to move and settle in, so I have to swatch a lot and draft like a crazy lady. There is just an insane amount of work I have to get done in a tight time frame. We are very, very excited about this move though. It is something we have been wanting to do for a very long time.

So, now that we are kinda caught up... You guys, seriously, Jordana is KILLIN' IT right now with all their new releases. This post will focus on their new 12 Hour Made to Last Liquid Pencil eyeliners and their new Bold Liquid felt tip eyeliner. These new Jordana products will be available at Walgreens stores as well as online. This new range of Six new eyeliners will retail for $2.49 each. I am so madly in love with these pencils.

They have done a classic, creamy matte Brown and Black, along with Four shimmery, metallic shades. These all have such creamy and highly pigmented formulations. They glide with easy and don't feel like they pull at any time. The Black and Brown pencils are fantastic for the waterline and tightline. My eyes can be fairly sensitive and I have ran into no irritations with any of these pencils. They don't make my eyes tear up when I am applying them either.

Aqua Last: gagagagorge metallic Sky Blue pencil.
Purple Fix: smokey shade of Amethyst Purple with hints of Silver sparkle pencil.
Jade Jewel: deep shimmering Olive drab pencil.
Espresso Last: creamy coffee brown pencil.
Charcoal Definition: super shimmery shade of charcoal grey pencil.
Black Point: opaque black matte creme pencil.

I don't have favorites here. I adore them all. Of course I am really enjoying all the shimmering shades. But, a girl can't have too much Black or Brown eyeliner. Jordana also did a bold eyeliner pencil. These retail for $2.99. The only issue I have with this liner is that it is not waterproof. Other than that it has great pigmentation and good wear (long as it does not get wet). This pencil creates really awesome bold lines with ease.

I am so impressed with all these new Jordana releases. The quality has been incredible, they have released beautiful colors, and the price has been oh-so-right. I also have some new mascaras by Jordana and I think that should do it on all the new Jordana products. These are available at Walgreens stores.

I hope you guys have a great day today! I am off to do a ton of work around the house. My motto for today is "swatch, drink (water lol), breathe". Mama has a LOT of work to get done.

LTHP Quickies! Jordana 12 Hr. Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Friday Everyone!!

This Friday morning I have a quickie post for you guys! I am sooo very excited to share these new babies by Jordana. Jordana is a "sister company" to Milani They are available online as well as most Walgreens stores. What I love about Jordana is they make great affordable products. And when I say great, I really do mean great. These new 12hr. Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils are as awesome as their Milani cousins. Though some of the shades Jordana released are dead on dupes for some of the Milani Shadow Eyez Waterproof eyeshadow pencils, I really don't mind. See, these are a fraction of the price as they retail for $3.99!!! Don't let that price fool you though, these are entirely amazing and the wear really is spectacular.
12 hr. made to last eye shadow pencils photo DSCN8726_zpsc23a4155.jpg
I love that they did a mix of nude and bold, matte and shimmer. They really covered all their bases... And speaking of bases, these make AMAAAAAAZING shadow bases. I usually do my primer and then follow it by a layer of which ever shadow pencil shade I've chose for that day. These are fantastic on their own and blend really well, but they make even better eyeshadow bases.
12 hr. Made to Last Eye Shadow Pencil photo DSCN8719_zps70e60009.jpg
 Aren't they beautiful?!
12 eyeshadow pencils photo JordanaInglot_zps95c601ab.jpg
Eternal White: Matte White creme pencil. LOOOOVE this one for layering bright eyeshadows over!
Continous Almond: This baby is a dead on dupe for Milani's Almond Creme. This is my go- to browbone shade. Even if I end up layering a color over it, this shade is usually a part of my eye makeup routine.
Tenacious Brown: Beautiful matte coffee brown creme. This may seem weird, but I LOOVE using this pencil to fill in my brows.
Stay-on Black: Matte Black creme perfection.
Pink Evermore: A soft sparkling Pink. This shade is so beautiful on the inner corner.
Prolong Purple: A gagagorg sparkling Amethyst Purple.
Aqua Last: *.* *.*!!!! A beautiful shade of metallic aqua Blue.
Endless Emerald: A sexy shade of shimmering peacock Green.

These are all SOOO creamy, and so very pigmented, that a light hand is almost a requirement. They set fairly quickly, so don't take your time when working with them. These would not smudge at all!! I kept rubbing my arm swatches to see if there would be any give and, there wasn't :DDDD!! So for $3.99... I say these are a STEAL, and if you are in the market for a great and easy to use eyeshadow pencil.... You should go just ahead and grab these!!

I can't pick favorites because I love all of these shades for many reasons. Of course I am gaga for all the shimmering shades. But, the creme shades are so versatile and just plain awesome. Will you be keeping an eye out for any of these? Which shades are you loving most?

LTHP Quickies! Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stains

(**Press Samples**)
It's a quickie, humpday treat!

Ok, so I am SUUUUUUPER excited to be sharing these!!!! Let me tell you why; I am such a HUUUUGE fan of these types of chubby- pencil balm stains. I know many of us in the beauty community have had nothing but praise for the Revlon balm stains and the like. For me, they are like Pokemon, I've gotta catch em all!
Well, Jordana has very recently joined the balm stain game with their new Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain collection. They have done a range of Eight beautiful shades at a price point that makes it impossible not to want them all! These babies will be available at Walgreens stores, as well as the Jordana website and they retail for $2.99!!! You read that right, $2.99!!!!!! And let me tell you, the quality is AMAZING, the wear is incredible and they feel soooo good on the lips.
Jordana Twist and Shine Balm Stains photo DSCN8777_zpsc9d0a9ce.jpg
They did a great job of covering the "color bases". The nudes are really wearable and I think they will flatter many skin tones. The Pinks are beautiful and I cannot wait to try the deeper shades. They are opaque, but not so opaque that they do not allow the stain color to work with your natural lip color. I hope that makes sense haha.
I've only gotten around to wearing Two of the shades, but the application was really nice, buttery and smooth. I didn't feel any pulling or dragging on my lips. They really do feel moisturizing and the wear on them is absolutely amazing. They are also versatile in that they can be worn as a wash of color, or built up to be full on vibrant. These also make great bases for lipsticks and do not need lip liner.
jordana balm stains photo JordanaInglot2_zps814fb4b1.jpg
Nude Chic: A beautiful shade of light shimmering Taupe stain.
Terra Crave: A really wearable shade of Caramel- toned creamy stain.
Sweet Pink: A sweet shade of light, Blue- toned Bubblegum Pink creme stain.
Honey Love: A soft shade of Honey- toned creme stain.
Candied Coral: A gorgeous shade of wearable Coral creme stain
Tropical Frenzy: A fun shade of Magenta pink creme stain.
Rock 'n' Rouge: A beautiful shade of pinuppy Orange-toned Red creme stain.
Cranberry Crush: A sultry shade of beautiful deep Mauve-toned creme stain.

I don't know if there are dupes here for any of the other balm stains in the market as I've not had a chance to compare them. The only comparable ones I own to these are the Revlon Balm stains. I didn't  find any dupes within the ones I own. Texture wise, I found these to be a bit smoother than the Revlon stains. The scent of these is so minimal, it barely needs mentioning.
I do have lip swatches of the Two pink shades I've worn so far. The wear on these was INCREDIBLE. I needed minor touchups throughout the day, even after eating and drinking. I would say I wore these for about 12 hours or so, and even after my shower my lips still had a slight Pink tint to them. I was especially impressed with Sweet Pink because it is a lighter shade of Pink and for some reason I was not expecting it to be so opaque and just plain awesome.

Jordana Twist & Shine in Sweet Pink
I just adore this shade. I am a sucker for light Blue toned pink lippies. I think they are sweet and fun.

Jordana Twist & Shine in Tropical Frenzy
This is right up my alley. Shades like these are my "safe colors". When I doubt, I Magenta. This baby is just my cup of tea.

So to recap, these are AWESOMESAUCE. Also, at a fraction of the price of most Balm Stains out there, these are a real steal. They retail for $2.99, but they wear and feel like a much more expensive product. These will be available at Walgreens stores as well as online. I really can't wait to wear the rest of the colors and do some mixing too. Of course, it is no surprise that I LOOOOVE the Pink tones. But, I really do love all the colors they released and I think they will flatter a lot of different skin tones.

Will you be on the lookout for these Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stains? I will say this, if you were my bestie, I would tell you to run out and buy these!!

Jordana Blue Bash

Oh Glittah!

BLUE glittah!!! I love Blue... I love Glitter.. I love Blue glitter and Jordana made and epic win of a Blue glitter.... Shall I just get on with it?
My base color is Color Club Sweetpea. Jordana's Blue Bash is a mix of different sized Royal Blue Hex glitters in an almost clear base. The base has the slightest tinge of Blue, barely there. This glitter is very dense and it could probably be worn on it's own but I've been on a glittering layering kick lately.
I am seriously loving all these Jordana Glitters but I am just about ready to be done swatching them lol. Swatching glitters is the hardest, biggest pain in the butt ever! We all know how much fun glitters are to remove...

Thanks for stopping by!

Muffin Monday!! Jordana Bronze Fest

Happy Muffin Monday!!!

OMG I am so over the moon with today's look. Muffin really picked me a winner this week and I'm not even gonna keep blabbing and get straight to it because I. LOVE. This!!!!!!!
AHHHHH OMG I just seriously LOVE this!!! So Bronze Fest is a base of Micro Bronze and Gold glitter with Medium Bronze particles and larger Bronze and Gold Hexes mixed in a clear base. This glitter is super dense and I only used one coat for this layering. Now, since this glitter is like Fall in a bottle I wanted to "Spring" it up a little bit and sitting there was my Nicole by O.P.I Paparazzi don't Preach which turned out to be the perfect base color in my opinion. I seriously cannot stop staring at my nails. This is one of the most unique glitters I've seen in some time. LOOOVE! LOVE, LOOOOVE!!!
 Hee hee!! She's so presh.....

But seriously though!!! Look at this beauty!!
Pretty awesome right? Or is it just me? Gawd I hope it's not just me ahahah!!!

Happy Muffin Monday!

Milani Silver Stiletto and Jordana LA City Nights

Good Morning ladies and.... Gents?

Today I have a combo that really blew my mind and I was totally not expecting it to... This glitter really popped over Silver and I never knew a plain Silver foil could be such an amazing base for glitter. I am all about the awesome an unexpected glitter combinations at the moment. I got tired of always thinking of the same expected combinations and started playing around with edgy and crazy combos that I've been putting together as a little series. At the end I might do one final BIG spam post.

So, this is a base of Milani Silver Stilettos the glitter is one decent coat of Jordana LA City Nights. This glitter is a dense mix of small Purple glitter and larger round Blue glitter in a clear base. LOVE this combination. It is flashy and like a rave on my nails. My only gripe with this glitter? It has an exact dupe in its sister brand Milani (Twinkle) from their One Coat Glitter collection. Both of these collections were released pretty much simultaneously and there is quite a bit of dupage. I hope they don't continue to release the same colors in different bottles. If it helps... Jordana has a bigger bottle and a smaller price :D.
Isn't this just awesome though? LOVEEEE!!

Thanks for stopping by!

How to Fix a Fail: Just Add Glitter- Jordana Gemstones over Barielle Snap Dragon

Hi loves!

Sorry for this super late post. Remember yesterday's bummer, Snap Dragon by Barielle? This is how I fixed that problem...
So Gemstonesis a mix of Small and Larger Hexes in Blue, Purple, Red, Gold, Silver and Green. Basically a crazy mix, birthday glitter. It fixed that Barielle right up!
Yay for glitter!

Have a good night!

Pink Wednesday!! Jordana Pixie Pink over Sinful Colors Cinderella

Happy Pink Wednesday and Leap Day!

Today I have a super pretty layering with some really cute colors. Sinful Colors Cinderella made its way to me thanks to the lovely Liz N. I had been on the hunt for some time and was not able to find it anywhere and Liz came to my rescue. I could not help but want to layer this pretty Pink Jordana glitter over Cinderella for this sparkly edition of Pink Wednesday.
I.Love.This. I love how the Pink sparkle in Cinderella plays along so well with Pixie Pink. Pink glitters like Pixie Pink don't always translate as pink when on the nail but over Cinderella it looks like the pretty Pink glitter it is. Pixie Pink is small Round glitter with larger Pink Hexes in a clear base.
These were some pretty cotton candy nails and they looked so yummy in person. These are "old camera" pics BTW. I still have quite a few of those to "get out of the way" but I am LOVING my new Nikon baby!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Milani Signature Gold and Jordana Magenta Magic

Good Morning loves and happy Caturday!

Today's post is a continuation of my glitter-ific mini series. As you may or may not know Jordana recently released a Specialty Glitter collection consisting of about 25 different glitters. I've been featuring them One by One because I really want to enjoy each glitter and come up with awesome and high contrasting combos. Such as....
Jordana Magenta Magic over Milani's Signature Gold. How awesome is this combo? There is a funky 70's thing going on with these Two shades together and I am kinda loving it. I love how the glitters pop against the smooth metallic Honey Golden surface. Just in case you were wondering, Yes Magenta Magic is a dupe of the recently released Milani Fuchsia Jewel FX. This is Two coats of Signature Gold and one "blob" of Magenta Magic
What I mean by blob is that I first dab on the brush on my nail to put the glitter on and then I spread it around the surface of the nail to prevent the issue where all the larger bits of glitter want to slide off to the tips of the nail.
How fun is this mani? I really enjoyed this combination and I am contemplating putting it on my toes!

Thoughts?

Milani Key West and Jordana My Superstar

Happy humpday (although it is actually my Monday :-s)!!

Today I have some amazing mermaid inspired nails. Yes, again trolllolololo! Problem? I hope not because I am just obsessed with mermaids and anything that reminds me of them. But you guys already knew that... This look features a new foil finish color by Milani and a new glitter by Jordana (which I am totally obsessed with right now!).
This look got so many compliments, that always makes me feel awesome. A lot of girls forget that nails are the ultimate fashion accessory! Me? Personally, I suck at accessorizing. I usually just slap on a necklace, some stud earrings and sometimes a bracelet. I tend to keep things really clean and simple because I am always scared of over- doing it.... But I never have to worry about that dilemma with my nails. I go crazy! I will try any color in any finish and I will rock the shiz out of it... Well these nails were causing quite a stir and it reminded that I had not been having nearly enough fun with my nails recently.... It is as simple as this guys!
These looked like a mermaids tail with gems all over it. The base color is Milani Key West which is a beyond stunning Teal Foil. It is not a dupe of any color I own. I will have a post on Key West later in the week, along with some more Milani swatches. I've really been wanting to play with glitter lately. But I want to steer clear of the obvious combinations. What would have been the clear choice to layer over Key West? Blues, Purples, Greens? Right? I went the complete opposite direction and used My Superstar by Jordana. This glitter is part of their new specialty glitter collection. My Superstar is a mix of Yellow-Gold hexes and small bits that make up "the base" in there you also have Red Hexes and Light Blue Hexes. This is an amazing glitter. I did 1 1/2 coats of glitter over Key West. It looked like an underwater party and I was loving every second of it!
The Yellow- Gold glitters were just bouncing off my nails and the Red really drew the eyes to my shiny tips. These were soo much fun to wear!

Jordana Copper Blaze makes Fantasy Fire even Better- Hunger Games Inspired Mani

Happy V-day everyone!

So I pretty much forgot about Valentine's Day.... I'm not very good at the whole Holiday themed mani thing unless it is Christmas. The funny thing is, I always tell myself that I will try to do at least one Holiday themed mani for whatever Holiday is coming up and I always forget until it's too late. SOOOOO, instead of a Valentines mani I decided to show you guys and updated look I did with Fantasy Fire and Jordana Glitter in Copper Blaze.

I'm currently balls- deep in "The Hunger Games" series. I really want to have them read before the movie comes out in March. This would be the first time I've read the book before seeing the movie and my inner geek is excited to sit there and play spot- the - difference haha. So for this look I was inspired by the flaming costumes Katniss and Peeta wear during the Tribute intro ceremony.
The girl with Nails on fire! I had been wearing Fantasy Fire for a few days at this point and I had just the teensiest bit of tip wear but I was not ready to part with such a beauty so I went over to my table. My table currently has about 30 bottles of Glitters! Glitters I plan on doing a little series with, starting with this mani lol.. So anyways, I kept gravitating to the obvious choices of Blue, Purples glitters to mix with the base of Fantasy Fire.... And then there it was like a shining beacon lol. Jordana's Copper Blaze and I was all like OMFGYES! So I grabbed my sponge and did a gradient on my tips for a play on the Copper flashes in Fantasy Fire. The final effect is amazing fiery nails with a twist. The combination of the copper glitter against the deep Navy- Violet- Copper blaze is just so unique and stunning. I got quite a few comments on this look.
So I was pretty much mortified to take this off. I wanted to take it off and put it right back on again. Copper Blaze is such a fun and unique glitter that I cannot wait to use it more. It really screams Fall to me and I can see so many cute manis with this amazing glitter. I hope you guys like this "Hunger Games" inspired mani as much as I do!

Happy V-day and all that jazz!

From the Vault: Jordana Pink Bunny

Good morning lovelies!!

Today's post is a lovely swatch of a lovely color! I'm keeping pretty short and sweet today because once again. It is super late, I am pretty tired and I'm still getting used to having a regular work schedule along with blogging. I didn't realize how much work blogging took until I started my new job. WOW! BUT!! I love my lovelies and I just can't not post. So I went waaaay back into my swatches I had yet to post and I decided on this pretty Jordana Pink creme. I hope you like!
This pretty Pink Bunny has just the perfect touch of Blue in it to take it our of the Easter territory. I actually really love this shade because it is so pretty against my skin tone. It's a nice Bubblegum Pink with a little twist. Two effortless coats.
Have a nice day my loves!! I have a block party at my work later (I work at a Model House in a new development) and I am so excited to do some awesome nails for that!

See you guys tomorrow!
