Julie G Beauty Gumdrop Skittles

Happy Friday- fryday!!!!

Today I want to share a cute skittle mani I did using the awesome Julie G Gumdrop polishes by Jesse's Girl Cosmetics. I have been in love with these polishes from the second they came out. I absolutely love how ridiculously sparkly they are, and how easy they are to wear. What I mean by that is that they apply like a dream, they dry quick and you can have fab nails, ready to go, in less than 20 minutes! Since I couldn't decide which to wear, I went with the last Three shades I had not had a chance to rock. I wore this mani for about Five days. There was absolutely no sign of wear when the time came to remove them.

The Blue shade is Blueberry Fizz. This one is a steely shade of Blue packed with Silver sparkles and hexes. I love how as they dry the sparkles become stronger. The green shade is Rock Candy. I adore this shade of sparkling minty Green. This pretty is packed with Silver sparkle as well as light green hexes to give it a bit of a chunkier look. The Coral shade is Sugar Rush. This pretty is a fiery shade of shimmering Coral with a strong Golden shimmering duocrhome.
All of these pretties have AMAZING formulas and did well in Two coats. These also look fantastic layered over each other to create your own custom Gumdrop shades. I got tons of compliments while wearing these. And for those of you who might still be worried about the texures, you have nothing to worry about :D. They are barely noticeable and I've never had an issue with snagging and such. They are just fab!

Did you pick up any of the Julie G Gumdrops? Which were your faves? I'm loving them all :D.

(**Press Sample**)
Happy Saturday everyone!!

I just wanted to do a quick post to let you guys know that I am over on the Nail It! magazine website with a guest post. I went with a texture theme, since I am slightly obsessed with this trend. I also did a look with some of the shades from the Cult Nails In the Garden Collection, for the ladies who do not like textures at all. I hope you guys like these looks! I had a lot of fun working on these.
To find out the details behind these Three looks, just head on over to nailitmag.com. You can also read a short interview [HERE].

I've had a minor setback here (I am also waiting on a middle nail break to grow out)... Ever have something happen to you that makes you feel really old for some reason? So, yesterday.. I was having a coughing fit... and I threw my lower back out  -___-. I mean, REALLY? Who does that? lolol... Who throws their back out from a coughing fit? Anywho, I'm taking it easy and hoping for a speedy recovery because I have lots I want to get done. I am also dying to play with my new Pueen stamping plates!! I have not had a chance to get into those yet, the designs are SO adorable!!

I hope you guys will check out my post for nailitmag.com! Happy Saturday everyone!

Muffin Monday!! Julie G Dream in Pretty

Hello my lovelies and happy Muffin Monday!!

Sorry about today's post being so late. Muffin mad her pick yesterday. Muffin picked like a boss this week. I set up and Mr. LTHP lured her to the room and she made her pick on the first try. She went for an adorable color from the Julie G line by Jesse's Girl called Dream in Pretty

For some reason I was feeling tropical so this is the look I came up with for Muffin's pretty pick.
I started with a base of Two easy coats of Dream in Pretty. On my Middle and Ring fingernails I did some Sunset inspired gradients with Julie's Fave and Dream in Pretty. I topped my gradients off with Seche Vite followed by a thin, sparkly coat of INM Northern Lights. For the all the stamps I used a plate I got in a swap with a Dutch friend and Konad Black Special Polish. I do not know the brand of the plate but it was number SdP-71. I then went back and free-handed the Black ground under my Palm trees with Cult Nails Nevermore. I ended up really loving this look... And kinda wishing I was on a beach with a Corona in my hand...

Here is a look at Muffin's pick, and my base color, Dream in Pretty. This is one of those pretty Lilac- Pink creme shades that I cannot get enough of. The formula on this shade was SO amazing. It has just the right amount of pigmentation and it is very self-leveling. I used Two coats for full opacity.
The Julie G line by Jesse's Girl recently had an expansion of 27 colors and I kinda wish I had access to them.. Silly Florida not having Rite Aids :(... BUT, I keep hearing that the more we request on Ulta's FB that they carry Jesse's Girl the sooner they might do so!! So lets all go over to the Ulta FB page and ask for Jesse's Girl cosmetics at their stores!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Sunday!!

Today is the day!!! The Makeup Show!!! Woo-hoo! Anywho, today is day 15 of the 31 day challenge and the list calls for Delicate nails... So this is what I came up with.
I started with Three thin coats of Julie G My Private Palace. I love this shade, it is a very shimmery, light duochromey golden, champagne. It's just awesome. For the stamp I used Bundle Monster plate BM 310 and Bettina in Art Deco Brown. All topped off with some Seche Vite.

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day Fourteen: Flowers

Happy Caturday and only more more day until The Makeup Show Orlando!!!!!

First things first! A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Best friend in the whole wide world; Miss Lizbeth!! I miss you and I really can't wait to see you my love!!
Today Sam, Rie and I will be taking on day 14 of the 31 day challenge. The prompt is Flowers. I really didn't know what direction to go with for this prompt so I went back to my stamping roots and did a simple and cute Cheeky-cure :D.

This look started with a base of Julie G nail color in Oh Em Gee!. This is a radioactive shade of neon Barbie Pink. I did the stamp with my Cheeky plates. Plate number CH16, using Konad Black special polish. I accented the stamp with dots in O.P.I My Boyfriend Scales Walls and China Glaze Sunkissed. I topped it all off with some INM Northern Lights and Seche Vite.

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day Thirteen: Animal Print

It's November!

WHAT?! Anyways today Sam, Rie and I are taking on the 13th prompt in the 31 Day Challenge. These nails are inspired by, and in honor of, my beloved bearded dragon. Her name was Amelia, she recently passed. She had a long, happy and healthy life. I got her as a little baby and later on she was "adopted" by my mom and brother later on. They loved her very much too. It only made sense to do some nails in her memory ♥.
I started with a base of Julie G nail polish in 9 to 5. I then cling-wrapped some Bettina Sunrise. You cannot really see the contrast of the cling-wrapping but it looked really cool in person. To give it some flash I sponged the tips with Julie G in Metallic Heels. The stamping was done with Bundle Monster plate BM224 and Bettina Orange. I topped it all off with some Seche Vite.

Here are two of my favorite pictures of Amelia. She had the prettiest peach, orange and red color scheme. She was a sweet little lizard. Beardies are great pets!

Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Red looks for day One!

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day 11: Polka Dot Nails

Yo!

So today is day 11 of the 31 Day Challenge. The task today is polka dotted nails. I'm super tired today. My new meds are doing a number on me in terms of energy... As in, I don't have any, EVER. I get tired really fast over nothing. Me no likey!
For my polka dot nails I started with a base of Chick Nail polish in Biker Chick. The dots were done using Cult Nails Nevermore, Pomegranate Lacquers in Blue Screen of Death and Julie G Oh Em Gee!. I initially didn't have a plan for my "dot placement" so most of my nails ended up with different patterns. These are cute, but they were cuter in my head lolol!!

Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Polka Dot looks for day Eleven!

Nails by Cris! Featuring Jen's Jem-Picasso's!

Hi loves!!

So my friend Jen is now a total polish fiend thank to yours truly *curtsies* lol. Last time I did a massive purge Jen got most of the polishes and she and her awesome little girl have been having some fun with colors! I love creating polish fiends, and future ones too! So anyways, Jen came over some time last week and got a kick ass layered mani done by moi. There was SO much going on and yet it all worked perfectly! We though they were a littlle Jem and a little Picasso so Jen named her her Jem-Picassos :D!
She also wanted to rock some awesome rings for her photos so I went into my LTHP polish ring stash and she chose a ring I made out of China Glaze Luxe and Lush and Midtown Magic (oval) and a ring I made using several Bettina Disco Collection Colors (round). LOVE how the rings complete this look!
Ok, so we started with a base of Lime Crime in Milky Ways on all nails except the thumb and Ring Finger, which got a base of Sation Shock me Twice Pink. On the white nails we also did a thin layer of Julie G My Private Palace to give the nails some extra bling. On the Pink nails we did a topper of Lush Lacquer in Salt n Peppa. On the White nails we topped it off with Sparkles by Julie in Graffiti. Graffiti is an amazing blend of Black hexes and bars with shards in Blue, Red and Yellow. It is such a bold, fun and eye-catching polish. Surprisingly easy to work with. These looked SO freaking awesome!!! And I am so glad I have finally convinced Jen that nubs are better than acrylics any day!! Shorties all the way!!!

Here is a shot of all polishes used.

And here is a neato macro of Jen's and mine favorite nail :D!
I love working on Jen's nails because this girl is just so much fun to hang out with and she always lets me do what I want with her nails :D!

Aren't these like a party on your nails!!

LTHP is Back! Daddy Kool Records #MunnyShow 2012 Inspired Nails!

Hi guys!

I am back! Yes!! I wanna thank all of the AMAZING bloggers that stepped in for me for the past Two weeks. You ladies blew my mind in several different directions, and I know my readers were in amazing company. I'm just in awe of the talent in this community. Also, on that note... While I was gone LTHP reached 5,000 followers!! WOW! I need to plan something special to celebrate this milestone!
Today's manicure are the nails that I wore to this years Munny Show at Daddy Kool Records in Downtown St. Pete, Florida (post about this later on today!). My nails were inspired by the sticker that the Record shop, along with many other shops on the DT strip were displaying on their windows to promote the local "art show".
For this fun look I started with a base of Zoya Purity. For the striped nails I used my striping tape from Born Pretty Store and Milani Black Swift. On my middle finger I stamped using Bundle Monster plate BM19 and Zoya Robyn. The splatter finger was done with JulieG Oh Em Gee, Zoya Robyn and Milani Black Swift. On my thumbs I did a drip effect using Black Swift and Oh Em Gee.

Here is a crappy thumb shot... Still getting a hang of the drip technique. I topped off all my nails in some Seche Vite, followed by INM Northern Lights TC then followed by one last coat of Cult Nails Wicked fast.

Here is a shot of the poster that inspired the nails and the nails :D. I am actually so happy with how these turned out. Even at the point when I had all my nails coated in a clean white canvas I really didn't know what I was going to do with each nail and it all just came together out of the Blue. The color palette is just right on for awesome nail art!
I missed you guys so much!!! I had a nice little break, recovering nicely (still working on that). I feel better every day and I am SO happy to be back!!

I hope you guys enjoyed this nail art!!! Who knows... I may just be back later with a Muffin Monday but I will def have a post up soon about the show!
