Halloween Mish-Mash with KBShimmer Shades

(**Press Samples**)
Hello beauties! Today I have a playful Halloween themed mish-mash with shades by KBShimmer.

KBShimmer Jack- Jack is a KBShimmer classic which Christy has brought back for a limited time this Fall. This cool shade is a black jelly base packed with burnt orange hexes and micro bars as well as black glitter. The black jelly base is is "sheer" enough to allow layering this shade to create cool effects. It is also opaque enough that the shade can reach opacity on it's own as seen here. I wore Three thin coats of Jack. The shade has a great and easy to work with formula. I also love how shiny and smooth it dries.
KBShimmer Kiss & Spell- Kiss and Spell is a playful Halloween-ie glitter topper. This blend is the most perfect mash of green, orange, yellow, purple and black hexes accented by star shapes in green, purple and orange. I really enjoyed this topper and the awesome effect it creates. I found it fairly easy to work with and was surprised at how easy the stars were to place. I chose to layer it over KBShimmer Chick me Out
All of these shades are available now from KBShimmer.com and retail for $8.75. You may also head to the KBShimmer website to find international e-tailers.

Jordana Playful Pastels Cotton Candy Gradient

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Tuesday beauties!! Today's look is a sweet pastel rainbow gradient I just had to do with the Playful Pastels collection by Jordana. I don't have much info on this collection.  They just showed up at my place, like a yummy little treat :D. I know it is available online from the Jordana site and they retail for $1.99. I'm not sure if it is limited edition or not, but something about this collection does feel LE. As you may have guessed, this cute release is made up of pastel shades, Six of them to be exact. These macaron- inspired shades have got me craving all things sweet.

Jordana Whimsical White- You guys can see this one here, because it is being used as the base for my gradient. Whimsical White is a lovely shade of marshmallowy white creme-jelly. The formula is wonderful and the finish is just adorable. I only needed Two coats.
Jordana Baby Blue- This shade is a classic, true baby blue creme-jelly. The formula on this pretty is definitely crelly and has a perfect squishy finish. I love how the crelly texture functioned in the gradient.
Jordana Merry Mint- This shade has the same type of formula as Baby Blue. Merry Mint is a perfect shade of pastel mint green. It is not a "vivid" pastel. It has a very delicate feel to it, just lovely.
Jordana Sunsational- This shade is a primary pastel yellow creme. It is a very warm shade of yellow and could be hard to pull off for some. In this gradient it shows up more as a more vibrant shade of pastel yellow. This shade has one of the denser formulas in the collection. I think it would do well in Two coats.
Jordana Pink Petunia- This is your classic pastel bubblegum pink creme. This shade also leans on the warmer side of pastel. The formula on this color is also fairly dense, and a true creme.
Jordana Lively Lilac- This pretty is another creme- jelly shade. Lively Lilac is slightly more pigmented than the baby blue and mint shade. The name say it all for this pretty shade of lilac crelly.

I topped my gradient off with a coat of Seche Vite, followed by a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. Then I sealed it off again in some Seche Vite to help with dry time. I love how soft and dreamy this gradient turned out. The sheerness of the mint and blue shade were bothering me at first, but the finished result changed my mind.

Thanks for coming by today!

China Glaze Rainbows and Trippy Stamping

(**press samples**)
On Wednesdays we wear RAINBOWS! With this colorful mani I mark the start of a "new era" in LTHP-ness. And by "new" I mean more like the good 'ol days when my blog was more of my nail polish diary, and not so much a review archive. With this small step "backwards" I hope to re-ignite my blogging flame. I will admit that this mani definitely re-awakened something in me... because COLORS! More after the jump ♥.

Glittering Stars and Stripes

(**Press Samples**)
Good evening loves!!

I hope you are all having a marvelous Friday! In this post I want to share some quick and fun patriotic glitter layerings that almost did not get posted haha.... That moment when you realize you drafted a post you meant to go up Two days ago.... Oy.....

The first pairing is all KBShimmer. The awesome starry blend is KBShimmer Red, White and Blue-tiful. Per KBShimmer Red, White and Blue-tiful features mini metallic stars in those classic colors. It features holo marine blue stars, added silver holo graphic stars, and finished with metallic red stars and a scattering of red holo stars.  Swimming among the stars are micro red, sliver and blue glitters and micro holographic glitters for a sparkly finish.  This limited edition polish will be available through the end of July.
I used the method shown in my chunky glitter application video. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease with which the stars came out and stayed on the nail. I also love that the stars are tiny and they lay flat on the nail. The added touch of small hexes gives this topper a really fun twist. I layered it over KBShimmer Lo and Be Bold. I topped these off in some KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

The next starry topper is Salon Perfect's Star Spangled. This fun topper is a blend of larger satin-matte stars in Red, White and Blue and small holo silver glitter suspended in a clear base. Once again I used the same method of application. This topper also was fairly easy to work with. I did no fishing for the stars, they actually came out with ease. Shown over Cult Nails Nevermore.

The final topper is Salon Perfect's Grand Finale. This topper is a blend of holo silver bars, metallic blue bars and metallic red bars. Once again I was surprised at the ease of application of this polish, Another nice thing is that the bars actually stay flat on the nail. I used the same application method for this topper. Shown over Cult Nails Tempest.

Have a fantastic evening, happy Friday and thanks for coming by!

Cult Nails It's a New Day Collection Look

(**Press Sample**)
Happy Thursday!!

It is a new day indeed. A very rainy new day :D... but I love in South Florida... I think I'd be worried if it WASN'T raining. The look I am sharing today is the opposite of what the weather feels like, I need that haha. For this look I went with ALLL the Cult Nails. Maria and Marta (of Chit Chat Nails) did such a wonderful job on this collection. The It's a New Day collection is definitely one of my all time favorite releases that Cult Nails has ever done.
On my ring and thumbnails I used Cult Nails Evolution. This shade is a light, peachy, crelly. I absolutely adore the squishiness of this color. I mean I just LOVE the color, period. Light peachy shades are my go-to, safe place, nail color. I wanted to have a sparkly accent so I topped off my peachy nails with some Cult Nails Walk of Shame.
For the gradient nails I started with a base of Cult Nails It's a New Day. This shade is the most perfect pastel, baby chick, yellow creme. The formula is squishy perfection. To create the gradients I used Cult Nails Falling Hard and It's a New Day. Falling Hard is a soft Barbie pink crelly with a great formula.
Since I have not stamped in ages... I decided to bust out some stamping gear... I used Bundle Monster plate BM- H09 and Cult Nails Radiance for the stamped details. I finished my nails off with a coat of Seche Vite.

I really love how these colors play together. They are a perfect complimentary trio and I can't imagine one without the others. Again I say, Maria and Marta did a wonderful job with this collaboration. These shades are still available from the Cult Nails website and retail for $12.00.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

#FAILFriday- Sad Day for the O.P.I Summer 2014 Neons

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Friday!!!

Today I am sharing a manicure I had very high hopes for, and ended up as a FAIL haha. I have not done one of these FAIL posts since 2011 lolol... I had a good streak, right? It is not that I absolutely loathe this look, I don't. It's that I think I could have done a MUCH better job at it. I think my marbling skills are just hella rusty.
For this look I decided to play with the new O.P.I Neon shades. For this Summer season O.P.I released Six new neon shades along with a "special" white- creme base coat you layer them over to get the full neon effect. For reasons that seem to elude me now, it seemed like a good idea to marble with them. So I gave it a try...
 photo DSCN0379_zps233a7ecb.jpg
Of course I started with the special base coat, which is really just a white creme. It is no secret if you want your neon shades to really pop, and apply smoothly, a white base makes all the difference. For the marble on my Pinkie and Index nails I used O.P.I Life Gave me Lemons, Hotter than you Pink and  Juice Bar Hopping. For the marble on my Middle and Ring nails I used O.P.I Push and Pur-pul, You are so Outta Lime  and Down to the Core-al
I was a bit worried that they would not work at all for this technique because neons can sometimes spread funny in the water, or dry too fast. These Six pretties actually worked really well. I love how the colors kinda mixed with each other creating new colors in the swirls. Since I was not entirely pleased, and because it is me... I added a coat of O.P.I Desperately Seeking Sequins over my marble to hide/ distract from some of the imperfections.

The O.P.I neons should be becoming available at O.P.I retailers now. They are a recent release so they are probably still trickling into stores. I hope to do some more successful nail art looks with them in the future. The shades are really fun and have really nice formulas.

Will you guys be giving any of the new OPI Neons a try?

Lac Attack Dreamer Spring 2014 Collection

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Tuesday my beauties!

Today I want to share my swatches of the Lac Attack "The Dreamer" collection. This cute set was released by Anastasia for Spring 2014. This is a really playful collection. There are four glitter toppers and a white crelly in this fun little group.

Lac Attack Dream- Dream is a cute "peach fuzz" topper. This pretty is made up of micro bars in yellow, peach, orange and white suspended in a clear base. The spread of the bars is great, I ran into no issues with application. I used Two coats of Dream over Cult Nails Nevermore
 photo DSCN9736_zps7d5f6a01.jpg

Lac Attack Believe- Believe is a white-based crelly accented by hexagonal glitters in Red and burgundy. It looks like little rose petals floating on my nails. The formula on this pretty is super easy to work with and does well in Two coats.
 photo DSCN9633_zps0e45a293.jpg

Lac Attack Hope- Hope is a magnificent blend of micro purple glitter and small golden hexes suspended in a clear base. This is a fantastic topper and creates amazing dimension when layered. I think this baby can also be worn by itself. I layered two coats of Hope over Zoya Hudson.
 photo DSCN9567_zps73fb2ee7.jpg
Hope macro ♥.
 photo DSCN9593_zpsd53b1ea1.jpg

Lac Attack Celebrate- Celebrate is a playful blend of square shaped glitters suspended in a clear base. There are black, pink, blue, green and lavender satin squares. I adore the confetti quality of this polish. It looks I went to a party and left with it on my nails :D. I used two easy coats of Celebrate over Zoya Dillon
 photo DSCN9528_zps1583f019.jpg

Lac Attack Imagine- Imagine is a gorgeous blend of circle shaped glitter (dots) in aqua, white and peachy pink suspended in a clear base. This is probably my favorite in the entire collection. I LOOOVE how the dots look like playful little bubbles. I used Two coats of Imagine over Zoya Cole.
 photo DSCN9407_zps79e018d3.jpg

The Lack Attack Dreamer collection is currently available from the Lack Attack site and retail for $8.00 per color. I am all about Hope and Imagine, they are seriously beautiful and just plain fun :D.

Lac Attack Fierce Spring 2014 Collection

(**Press Samples**)
Happy day of hump,

Today I want to share my swatches of an upcoming collection from the, always awesome, Lac Attack. This collection is made up of Six new amazing layering top coats. If you are a fan of shifting polishes, this collection is definitely for you. Each of these pretties create a completely unique look depending on what base color they are layered over. I am a huge fan of polishes like these because they allow me to create endless new colors out of my existing stash.
There are Four shifting glassflecks and Two glitter/shard toppers. I chose to layer all of my glassflecks over a basic Black creme base to get as much of the shifting effect to come out as possible. That said, the shifters (Unique, Sassy, Fierce, Fearless) look amazing over lighter shades and contrasting shades as well. The possibilities are endless.

Lac Attack Unique- This beauty is a micro yellow-golden shimmer  suspended in a, barely- there, yellow base. The shimmer is very densely packed and creates a beautiful "blackened gold" look when layered over Black. There was a slight shift to Orange at extreme angles. I used Two coats of Unique over my Black base.
 photo DSCN8485_zps29103e89.jpg

Lac Attack Fearless- The particles in fearless are a bit more "chunky" that those in Unique. Fearless is made up of gorgeous micro royal Blue glassflecks suspended in a, barely-there, blue jelly base. Over Black I was getting slight hints of a shift to Teal at extreme angles. I also love the space-y look it gives my Black base. I used Two coats of Fearless.
 photo DSCN9807_zps7a668b89.jpg

Lac Atttack Sassy- Sassy is the brilliant gilded Emerald sister to Fearless. This beauty is a beautiful light green glassfleck blend suspended in a , barely-there, green jelly base. Out of the Four shifters, this one had the most visible duochrome on the nail. I was getting hints of golden, yellow and dark green when I moved my hands around. I used Two coats of Sassy over my Black base.
 photo DSCN9783_zps5292d31e.jpg

Lac Attack Fierce- Fierce is the hot Magenta sister of Unique. This beauty is a micro shimmering blend of magenta particles suspended in a, barely-there, pink jelly base. I love how it turned into a beautiful Blackened violet when layered over a Black base. I used Two coats of Fierce over my base color.
 photo DSCN9758_zps2de65fd2.jpg

Lac Attack Daring- Daring is made up of small Silver shards suspended in a clear base. I love that she used "plain" Silver shards rather than prismatic. I love the look of "broken glass" it creates. I layered Daring over Zoya Rebel for a cool look.
 photo DSCN9487_zps59148794.jpg

Lac Attack Quirky- Quirky is a blend of satin white micro shards suspended in a clear base. I layered Quirky over LVX Monaco. This layering pretty creates the effect of "faux snow" and I love it. I used Two coats of Quirky over my base color.
 photo DSCN9703_zpsf9cb4787.jpg

The Fierce collection will be available from Lac Attack on Saturday May 10th; 1:00pm EST. Don't forget to head on over to the Lac Attack Facebook page to stay up to date on the latest news from Lac Attack :D

#IndieCollab Dollish Polish & Jindie Nails- Romeo and Juliet LE Duo

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Caturday!!

Today I want to do a special Saturday post to share an epic indie collaboration between to  wonderful brands. The masterminds behind Dollish Polish and Jindie Nails decided to come together to create beautiful complimentary duos inspired by famous couples through out history. Their inaugural duo is non other than the star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet
I am loving the concept behind this collaboration. It also reminds me of the movie "Never Been Kissed" for some reason. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about hahaha. You know? The prom theme is Famous Couples in history, per Josie's rec. Anyhow, these two beauties go up for grabs today on both Dollish Polish's site and Jindie Nails, and I wanted to be my usual enabler self ;).
 photo JindieandDP_zps6da768fb.jpg
Both swatches are shown with a top coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Dollish Polish Romeo over Jindie Nails Juliet- Romeo is described by Dollish Polish as a jam-packed glitter, with shades of turquoise, sapphire, magenta, purple, and violet hexagons, shred, and dots, accented with matte black hearts, stars, and skull/crossbones. It is a beautifully complex glitter blend that really does represent the inspiration, while still being playful.
This topper is fairly easy to work with. It is definitely packed with all kinds of sparkling goodies. The only reason I had a bit of trouble with the larger skully and heart shapes was due to my nails being a bit shorter when I did these swatches. Yet, I still managed to get some on my nails with minor fishing or manipulation. I absolutely adore the smaller Black stars.
DP Romeo photo DSCN7143_zps4b5b7fd9.jpg

Jindie Nails Juliet- Juliet is described by Jindie Nails as a radiant orchid cream/jelly that is opaque in about 2 coats and has a sprinkling of periwinkle, magenta, lilac and lavender metallic small glitters plus navy blue and violet shimmery flakes.  This shade though!!! The formula is an absolute dream. I am madly in love with the delicate look the blend of smaller glitters in the crelly base. I only needed two flawless coats for my swatch. There is such a sweet and innocent quality to this color that is perfectly suited to the character it represents. Side note: been wearing this as a pedi for about a week now and it still holds strong.
This is my first Jindie polish, and I am so impressed with everything about this shade. I know this will definitely not be my last, or only, Jindie shade.
Jindie Juliet photo DSCN7124_zps50da234b.jpg

The Romeo & Juliet duo is available now from both Jindie Nails and Dollish Polish. The duo retails for $20.00. Remember to check out both sites. If it is sold out on one, it might still be available on the other. These ladies knocked it out of the park with this collaboration. I can't wait to see what else they have in store for us. I also love seeing two wonderful creators working together. What is better than one awesome indie? Two awesome indies working together!

Thanks for stopping by and happy Caturday!

Cult Nails- Road Trip Anyone? Collection Layerings

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Friday!

And just like that.. January is over! Today I want to share a few Cult Nails manis I wore last week. Both looks were done by layering shades from the Road Trip, Anyone? collection. If memory serves me right, this collection was released later in the Summer of 2013. They were limited edition. Looks like the only ones still on the Cult Nails site are All Out and Mayhem. However, Beautylish still has all these shades available through their shop.

Cult Nails All Out- For this mani I decided to layer All Out over Be Loco. All Out is a beautiful micro shimmer topper. Over my Coral base it created a Sun kissed shade of Tangerine Orange. What I love about All Out is that it will transform any color into new, beautiful unexpected shades. Over lighter colors it looks beautifully Golden-Yellow, over Medium shades it can turn into a cool shade of shifting Lime Green and over darker shades it can go to this amazing shifting shade of Emerald Green. If you were a fan of Charlatan from the Deceptive Collection, you will love All Out. I used one coat over my base color.
CN All Out photo DSCN4935_zpsd4503b36.jpg

Cult Nails Be Loco- This shade is many of my favorite things meshed into one polish. Be Loco is a perfect shade of true Coral with the most amazingly creamy formulation. This shade could have nearly been one coat. And yet, the formula was not thick or sticky or streaky... it was buttery smooth- perfection. This color is insanely flattering. I used Two easy coats for my mani.
CN Be Loco photo DSCN4922_zpsfffa1038.jpg

Cult Nails Mayhem- This baby is a subtle Silver linear holographic topper. What I love most about Mayhem is that it adds beautiful holographic sparkle, that is very noticeable, without making the base color look muddy or cloudy. I've tried several toppers and I don't like how much they can cloud the base color. With Mayhem you get that beautiful effect, and you still get to see the base color clearly Just with the added beauty of Holographic shimmer. For this mani I layered Mayhem over Riot. I really loved this combination. Oh, and the Three- finger pic is not a new thing or anything. I dinged my Index nail as I was taking photos and I was so ready to be done this day that I just fixed it after I took photographs haha. I used one coat of Mayhem over Riot.
CN Mayhem photo DSCN5437_zpsbf21fac4.jpg

Cult Nails Riot- This shade is a spectacular shade of clean Aqua- Teal. It is a bit lighter than teal, and a bit more Green than Aqua. Riot has an amaaazing formula as well. This shade could have also been one coat, I did use two though. I love this color to bits. It is summery, pool party perfection. The one downside is that this color can stain pretty badly.
CN Riot photo DSCN5412_zps13bedcae.jpg
I wore both of these manis for about a week or so, no chips and very minor tip wear. The wear of Cult Nails polishes is always so impressive. If you are really digging these shades, they can still be found on the Beautylish Boutique and retail for $12.00/bottle.

Happy Friday everyone!

LTHP's Crazy Birthday Nails! Turning 27 in Rad Nails

(**Press Samples**)
Hi everyone and happy Thursday!

Today is my birthday! I will be keeping my intro short and sweet today. I'm allowed to slack a little on my special day, right ;)? Anywho, I wanted to do something kind of crazy and all over the place on my nails... So that is exactly what I did haha.
 photo DSCN4864_zps2611b312.jpg
I think it is easier if I break this look down by nail since there is so much going on. There was really no rhyme or reason behind any of this manicure. I just kind of winged it and ended up with this crazy look that somehow seems to work.
- Index and Ring nails: Gradient with Milani Cupid's Touch and Aqua Brisk. The glitter over Aqua Brisk is China Glaze's Your Present Required. My Ring fingernail is the same thing, just inverted. I REEEEEALLY love how these gittering gradient nails turned out.
- Middle nail: For the base I used Cult Nails Tempest. For the splatter part I used Bettina Pink Bikini, Hopeful and Cult Nails Nevermore
- Tumb and Pinkie nails: For the base I used China Glaze Put a Bow on It. I then did a dotted gradient using China Glaze Mingle with Kringle, Cult Nails Tempest and Nevermore

I topped all of my nails off with a top coat of KBShimmer Clearly on top. On my Index, Middle and Ring nails I also did a coat of INM Northern Lights for some extra sparkle. I kind of like the "multiple personality" thing this look has going on, very me haha.

I'm off to celebrate turning 27 with my crazy nails!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Zoya Dream and Mosheen- Snowy Stamped Nail Art Look

(**Press Samples**)
Hello and happy Monday!!

If you are celebrating today; Feliz Dia de Los Reyes! Today I have another simple look featuring some stamping. Living in Florida, it can be hard to get into the Winter swing of things. But I was in the mood for something "cool", sparkly and snowy. If I can't have snow on the ground, I shall have it on my nails!
Zoya Dream and Mosheen Look photo DSCN3990_zpsb526001c.jpg
This sparkly look started with a base of Zoya's Dream. To give my look an extra dose of sparkle I layered Zoya Mosheen over Dream. I then top coated my base and waited for it to dry before stamping. For the snowflake stamps I used Bundle Monster plate BM323 and Konad White special polish. The final step was to top coat my snowflakes with a coat of Seche Vite.

I am just madly in love with Mosheen. It looks magical over anything and really add just the right amount of beautious sparkle to any manicure. I just love how the snowflakes look as if they are floating on the surface.

Thanks for stopping by my beauties!
