#CFLBeautyBlogger Autism Awareness April Link Up

(**Press Sample**)
Good morning beauties!

We interrupt this scheduled LTHP vacay to go Blue. Today's post is a special link up between the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida. Since April is Autism Awareness month we decided to come together with some Blue- themed posts for our readers. If you guys are long time readers of this Blog you may be familiar with my Blue looks during the month of April. I was super busy this year and missed World Autism Awareness day, which was April 2nd :(.

I decided to work in Blue, Yellow and Red, inspired by the Autism Awareness puzzle piece logo. The Blue shade is KBShimmer Sky Jinks. This shade is a PERFECT shade of vivid Sky Blue creme. The formula on this color left me a little speechless. It was buttery smooth and very pigmented. The best part is that it did not stain my nails.
The yellow shade is KBShimmer Chick Me Out. This shade is a perfect primary Yellow creme. The formula was really very good. The first coat was a little streaky, but it evened out just fine. For the zig-zags  and chevrons I used Nail Vinyls. On my middle nail I did a dotted gradient using Cult Nails Tempest and Chick me Out. I also did a glitter placement gradient on my middle nail, as well as some glitter placement on my ring and index nails using a loose glitter pot from ??? :) lol.
For the glittery red zig- zags on my Pinkie I used a Red glitter striper from Stripe Rite. I finished my look off with two coats of Seche Vite.

My Ultimate Mermaid Nails with Inglot Spangles

(**Press Samples**)
Hello and happy Thursday!

Today I want to share some of my favorite nails I have ever done. I'm calling these my ultimate mermaid nails. Back when I first received my set of Inglot nail and body spangles, I just knew this look had to happen. I'd also done a "disco mermaid" version of these some months ago for LTHP's birthday. These though!! THESEEEEE!!!!

For these ultra mermaid nails I started with a base of Milani's Blue Zoom. Once my base color was top coated and dry I started to work on my spangle placements. I worked on one nail at a time. I used a slow drying top coat and set my spangles in an overlapping pattern. Once I was done placing the spangles on all my nails I did a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top top coat to seal my "scales".

I used Inglot Spangles in #23. These pretties have an amazing duochrome effect. They all shift from Sapphire Blue to Emerald Green and Copper at extreme angles. These were the perfect colors and shape for this look I had been dreaming of for months. These Inglot spangles are also very easy to work with :D.

I am so madly in love with how these turned out. They may have even come out better than I had envisioned. It is always such a great feeling to see a mani I had been wanting do come to life beautifully.

Thanks for stopping by!!! I must go back in the water before my tail dries out though ;).

#AwesomeNailsAreAwesome! Guest post from Laura of Polish All the Nails

Hi everyone!!

Today's post is a special Humpday treat. A few weeks ago I did a glitter placement manicure and I had linked back to one of my favorite bloggers, miss Laura of Polish all the Nails. She does AMAZING glitter placement manicures that always manage to leave me speechless. Her patience, precision and creativity are a force to be marveled at.
I was beyond ecstatic when Laura offered to do a guest post for me. I desperately wanted to share her amazing art, but I could not bring myself to ask her for a guest post.. silly, right? I mean, I know how time consuming these types of manicures can be... I was so honored and excited that she wanted to do a look for me. I shall consider this AMAZING manicure from miss Laura an early birthday present :D (I turn 27 tomorrow o.O).

I give you, the amazing Laura!!
Hi everyone!  I'm Laura and I blog over at and I'm so happy that Cristina agreed to let me do a guest post for her.  She does the most fabulous work and I'm so proud I could contribute a mani.  I'm best known for pretty complex glitter placements so course I had to one for LTHP.

After a few days of experimenting and brainstorming, I decided that I should do a rainbow glitter placement using matte square glitter.  It may look complicated but there is a system involved.  First, I applied two coats of Urban Outfitters Blue Velvet.  When using small glitter like this, it pays to keep your base colour thin and an even, otherwise it will be more difficult to place the glitter.  Starting with my thumb, I applied a thin stripe of top coat down the centre of my nail and laid down a column of glitter using an orange stick.  Pay attention to the spacing in this first column as it will set out the spacing for the rest of the nail.  Working in columns and reapplying top coat as needed, I filled out each side of the nail.  Once complete, add two coats of Seche Vite and you're done!
The Verdict: I'm really happy with how this mani came out.  It has rainbows - my favourite - and neat, even rows of glitter - also my favourite.  I'm just happy I could contribute just a little glitter to Let Them Have Polish.  Thanks again Cristina!

No, THANK YOUUUU miss Laura! I really hope you guys enjoyed this fantastic manicure. I hope I can continue to develop my skills in glitter placement. Laura is definitely a huge inspiration. I don't know if I will ever have this kind of patience. Until then, I shall marvel at Laura's skills and continued creative use of loose glitters.

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day Seventeen: Glitter

Good evening anf happy Friday!

Better late than never right? Yesterday was supposed to be day 17 of the 31 Day Challenge and I completely forgot and got wrapped up in a swatch-a-thon of massive proportions. Day 17 of the challenge calls for Glittery nails. This look features loose glitter burnished onto a White base.
I started with a base of Milani White on the Spot. The glitter came from loose glitter pots that I got back in June when Premiere Orlando came to town. There really isn't much to this look other than working fast with the glitter before your top coat dries. The main thing is LOTS of top coat because the loose glitter is extremely gritty and very TC hungry. There are Two coats of Seche Vite and one of INM Northern Lights on my nails for this pic.

I really like how these turned out. I think my favorite nail is the Index finger. The blending is really smooth. What do you think of this use of loose glitter? Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Glittery looks for day 17!
