LTHP Loves: Cat Eyes!

(**Some products are press samples**)
Happy Tuesday my beauties!!

Today I want to share Three eye makeup looks I've done recently that I really enjoyed. I'm a firm believer in the power of a good cat eye. I don't know what it is about a simple cat eye that makes me feel so complete and glamorous haha. Most of my looks are just not right until a cat eye liner is added.

What is a quick makeup look that makes you feel instantly glam? For me a simple face and a red lip usually do it :D. What is your go-to look that makes you fee extra confident?

Random #EOTD Spam featuring Milani's New Ultra Fine Liquid Liners

(**Some of the products in this post were provided for review consideration**)
Hello my darlings!!

I won't beat around the bush, I feel like garbage. IDK what has been going on, but these past few weeks I've been having more bad days than good. It's a bummer because for a while I had been feeling better for some time, normal even. And then, all of a sudden, I'm starting to feel garbage-y again and having a hell of a time working up the energy to do even the smallest things. Fear of food is also at an all time high, as it does not seem to matter how healthy or badly I eat. Meaning, no matter what, I end up sick :(.
I've not been able to paint my nails since last Friday. I've been wearing Zoya's PixieDust in Nyx and Vespa, they are still holding up fairly well. So, since I don't really have nails to show you, I figured I do a spama-lama-dingdong post of some #EOTD's I've done over the past few weeks. All of these feature different brands of eye shadows, but they all have something in common. They all feature one or more of the new Milani Ultra fine felt tip liquid liners. I seriously LOVE those suckers!!
SO guess what?! I am STILL horrible at taking notes while I do my makeup lolol!! I am SO sorry about any missing details on these looks. But as always, of you have any burning questions, feel free to leave 'em in the comments, or email me and I will do my best to answer it for you! Please enjoy some eyes-piration while I work on getting well ♥.

Are you Givin' Me the Lip?

Why, yes, yes I am!

LOL.. Ok So I am pretty petrified about this post. I have no idea why.... It's mah mouf! Remember a while back when I did [THIS] Milani lippy post? I showed arm swatches because at the time I was just NOT into lipstick, or just plain intimidated by it I suppose. That very day I resolved to get over that silliness. I started experimenting with lippies and practicing my application, taking photos, etc.
I realized that a nicely done lip really does complete "the look". I've also found confidence in bold lips. All of a sudden I don't feel right unless my pout is coated in bright color. I find that I feel most comfortable in BRIGHT shades in the Pink family, but I have been expanding to Red's and even Plums. SO! I wanted to share with you guys some random lippy swatches to start getting comfortable with doing these types of posts.

To see some lippy closeups just continue reading  ♥.

Fun with @NakedCosmetics Shock Effect Pigment Set and @Ardell_Lashes #EOTD/#FOTD Looks!

Hello my lovelies!!!

I know today is supposed to be a challenge day but I honestly kind of forgot until the last minute yesterday. By the time I had realized I was supposed to be doing my Supernatural nails, I was already shut down for the day lol. So, I checked with you guys on Facebook to see if it was cool to show you some makeup looks instead :D. I will absolutely be back at some point soon with my challenge nails.
These look feature (for the most part) an amazing pigment set I got at The Makeup Show Orlando, back in November. One of the brands that captured my heart was Naked Cosmetics. They display was a SEA of beautiful loose pigment and glitter sets. I practically flew over to their booth and was paying for my Shock Effect set before I even realized what had happened. I didn't really have a hard time choosing this "palette" out from all the beautiful sets because the colors were the brightest and they really JUMPED out at me. Don't get me wrong though, had I not been on a tighter budget, many more sets would have come home with me.
I am also, pretty much, obsessed with the new Ardell Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away Collection lashes. I got Four of the Six sets, but I'm thinking I really want to go back for the Two I am missing. I've only worn Two of my sets so far but it is safe to say that I LOVE them. They are dramatic, unique and just plain fun! Just in time for the Holidays.
I am pretty much madly in love with these pigments and lashes. The pigments are very versatile! They can be used as eyeshadow, eyeliner and even on the lips. They can be built up to be very vibrant, or blended out for a pretty flush of unique color. I'm always intimidated by loose pigments, because I am not a fan of "fallout". I am happy to report that these are deliciously creamy in texture, they are easy to blend and build up. I did not have an issue with fallout at all. I am very pleased with the color payoff in these babies. I did use my NYX primer (Skintone) and my NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk as a base for these looks to really make the pigments pop. These can be worn dry, wet or with primer. They are really very, very versatile.

To read me rave some more about my Naked Cosmetics pigments, my beautiful new Ardell lashes and see close ups of these looks just keep on reading ♥.

Saturday #EOTD/ #FOTD Looks!

Happy Caturday!

Today I have Three Face of the Day looks I did over the past few weeks. I have not had a lot of opportunities to wear kick ass make-up lately and that's why these posts are getting a little more spaced out. These are three looks that I really loved and turned out waaaaaaaay better than I could have ever hoped for.

LTHP Franken: Coal Digger

Good morning loves!

Today I have an awesome franken I made using an Etsy polish and a NYX polish. Actually a big part of the reason for my purchasing the specific Etsy polish was to be able to create this franken. I am a HUGE fan of micro shard like glitter. My love of this type of glitter became obvious after I tried NYX Gilded Glitter. Which I am sure goes by a different name now since NYX re-vamped their nail polish line. Anyhow, here is my franken that I made out of Sweetfairy Boutique Black Ice and NYX Gilded Glitter.
Any Modern Family fans in the house? The name was inspired by the episode where Gloria finds out that Claire had called her a "Coal Digger" (LOVE Luke) hahah....For this layering I started with Two perfect coats of Barielle Island Breeze. Once that was dry I added Two coats of my franken Coal Digger and topped it off with some Seche Vite. Seriously love this look!

Here is a macro just 'cause I felt like it :D.

Flashy New Year's Eve!

Happy New Year's Eve loves!!

How cute is this?! Chalkboard Nails did an awesome Gold and Black mani not too long ago and that gave me the inspiration for this New Year's Eve mani. I loved the color combination and I absolutely agree with her on the though that Gold and Black= NYE. My look is lacking one major cool factor that hers has... That amazing Black square glitter... What do I have to do to get my hands on THAT?! Well anyways.. I got this little stamp in a kit and I immediatelly thought of a NYE mani. Cheers!!

So for this festive look I started with one coat of China Glaze Midnight Kiss and then layered Three coats of CG Lighthouse over the Gold foil to really make the Golden tones in Lighthouse come to lfe. The stamp comes from a Salon Express kit. The plate was SE22 and I used Konad Black Special Polish. For a full review of Salon Express kits head over to Vampy Varnish. This was not the most pleasant plate to work with. The results are better than I was expecting for the cost of the entire kit... I'm not too mad at how these turned out. Then to give the effect that the stars were "raining down my nail" I sponged the tips of my nails with Color Club Take the Stage and Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow. I topped it all off with some SV followed by INM Northern Lights. Have a safe and aweone NYE everyone!!! See you again next year!

31 Day Challenge! Day 10- Gradient Nails

Hi girls and boys!

Welcome to day 10 (OMG!!!) of the challenge. Today's task is a very simple one... Gradient Nails. I am absolutely mad about sponged gradient nails. For some reason gradients with glitters always make me think of mermaids. You guys know about my "mermaid complex" and it's just so easy for me to be inspired by beautiful mermaid tails! I asked Mr. LTHP which color scheme he would have liked to see and he said light Green to Blue... So I obliged, with beautiful results.
So for this simple look I started with two coats of Orly Ancient Jade (which I will have a swatch of later on). For the sponging I used a little bit of "art store sponge" or "sea sponge". For the sparkly gradient I used NYX Sea of Cortez. I really love these nails. I'm not the best at gradients but I'm happy with how this one turned out. The color combination really worked out pretty well.

I hope you guys enjoyed these :). Now, Don't forget to check out Sam and Rie's blogs to see their
Gradient nails!

EDIT** Here is a swatch of Orly's Ancient Jade. Two coats and a coat of SV.

NYX Glitter Bombs!

Hello lovelies!

Today I have Two NYX Glitters I had been dying to wear and for some reason I kept putting it off. These are awesome. NYX makes the cutests most fun glitters I have ever seen. I don't need any more glitter polish but everytime I'm around a NYX display it's like I can't help myself...

I'll get started with Frizz Spots. This one is a black jelly-ish base packed full of small and medium sized Hex shaped Holo glitters. To achieve opacity I did Two coats of Frizz Spots over One coat of O.P.I Black Onyx. Most of these NYX glitters are meant to be layered as their bases are pretty sheer. I absolutely love this polish. Even though it is a Black based glitter it is still so much fun. I couldn't stop staring at my nails.

And this is Under the Moon. This is a pretty Blue jelly base packed full of small Holo sparkles and these really Big Holo hex glitters. As much as I love this I was a bit bummed to see that the awesome big glitters that had made me buy this in the first place don't really like to stay on the brush very much. You'll see what I mean in the pics. I still love this though. It's like a Blue version of China Glaze's Atlantis. Here I wore it by itself but in the future I will be layering it over a shade close to the base jelly. I am kind of liking it like this too though. This is Three coats. You can see one of the big glitters I'm talking about in my middle finger (but better in the bottle). I suggest clicking these for detail.
Kind of Blurred to show Sparkle :) <3<3
Every time I have posted NYX you guys have been asking where it can be found. Sadly, their websites store locator isn't really up and running :(. The lovely Stephanie from Imperfecly Painted mentioned www.cherryculture.com to me and they pretty much carry the entire stock of NYX polishes. Happy shopping lovelies!

And Happy Friday!!

NYX Carnival v. Happy Birthday v. Party of Five Glitters

Hello lovelies!

So today I'll be showing you the awesome NYX Carnival. This is yet another dupe of the very popular Happy Birthday by Deborah Lippmann.

Carnival consists of Small and Large Hex glitters in Blue, Silver, Orange, Yellow, Pink and Green. This is also similar to Milani's Gems. This goes on very chunky. There isn't the issue where all the glitter wants to go to the tips with every brushstroke. For this I used Two coats of Carnival. I suggest clicking pics for details.

Here is Happy Birthfay, Pof5G and Carnival next to each other.

I like all Three for different reasons. I think Carnival comes closer to Happy Birthday than Party of 5 Glitters. Pof5G has too much Silver glitter in it now that I see them all together. Nothing is quite as graceful as Happy Birthday though. I say it's good to have these dupes as back-ups since I really want my Lippmann to last as long as possible ($$$) :)

Thoughts lovelies?

Sinful Colors Dream On + NYX Gilded Glitter

YES!

YES and yes! So my awesome Mr. LTHP picked this beauty up for me while away on a work trip. His reasoning: He saw it, he liked it, he got it for me :). Did I mention I have an amazing husband?

I can see why this jumped out at him... Dream On is an awesome neon Red based Purple creme. When I say neon I mean NEON. Sadly, my camera is not too fond of these types of colors and always does funky things to them but I get the general gist of this color right? It is so in your face bright and awesome! This dries a bit matte since it's neon. The formula was just a tad streaky but nothing a light hand cant handle. This is Two coats.

Then I added two coats of NYX's Gilded Glitter. This is basically small Gold flakie style glitter with micro gold glitter packed in a clear base. Let me tell you about how much I love this. It's a flakie style, it's a bright Gold, it can be built up as much or as little as I want and it applies like a dream. I also love that it lays flat and no matter how many coats I layered it remained smooth in finish. I suggest clicking the last macro shot of the awesomeness that is this polish. I really love this combo a lot! The Gold really complimented the neon Purple. This is Two coats.

I have a few more NYX glitters to try out and I cannot wait! They have really fun and funky glitters that are driving me crazy with how awesome they are and how much I don't need them but want them!

You may have heard about a contest Bundle Monster is holding on Facebook where they will be giving away 25 sets of their new plates. I have entered a picture and would really appreaciate if you would check it out and vote (but only if you like it) All you have to do is click (HERE) and leave a comment on the picture. I'm honestly not 100% sure on what is going (as far as voting) on but I encourage my lovelies to check it out and enter and vote!

Have you ever tried NYX?

Pink Wednesday! NYX Sunshine Pink

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are wearing Pink today! I decided to go for soft and girly today and this color is totally doing it for me at the moment. A soft nude-ish Pink with Golden shimmer... Ahhh yes... Here we go!
Gilded Butterflies :)
So I am pretty much smitted with this color. It is a soft nude Pink with the most subtle micro Golden shimmer thoughout. The name fits is so perfectly. Sunshine Pink has a great creamy formula that is opaque in Three coats. At two coats it is even and a pretty flush of color for that "naked nail" look. This was my first NYX creme polish and I really love the formula. This is a fun brand. They have fun colors, amazing glitters and they are only $1.99!! And even better there is a NYX/ Jordana/ OPI store at my local mall that I can't seem to stay out of lol! This store is danger hahah!

Are you wearing your Pink today and in what form?
