LTHP Quickies! Milani Color Statement Line Expansion for Spring 2014

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Tuesday!

First thing's first.. I am so sick you guys. I had not gotten a cold in years, literally years.. Yesterday I started feeling off. By yesterday night I was running a fever and all that fun stuff... On that note.... I could not have "picked" a worse time to get sick. This Saturday is moving day for the husband and I. We are relocating to Boca Raton. It is very exciting, but I am wishing this cold would have held off until after this weekend haha.
Since I am a bit off today I wanted to share one of my quickies. Say hello to the newest expansion to the Milani Color Statement lipstick line. You guys may remember how much I raved about these lippies when the line was released last year.
color statement photo DSCN5873_zps12b21c9a.jpg
I was super excited to see that Milani would be adding more shades to this fantastic lip color range. These lipsticks are perfection to me. They have great pigmentation, and feel amazing on the lips. They also have a scent that I just love! It is a yummy watermelon-y scent that does not overpower nor linger. This release is made up of Six new shades. Most of the new shades are on the Brown/Neutral sides. They also released a new shade of Pink, and Burgundy.
color statement photo DSCN5852_zpsaa5e8e8f.jpg
All swatches are Two swipes of color. As expected these were all very buttery in application. These glide with ease and don't drag at all. I just love them!
color statement photo DSCN5890_zps6ac9423a.jpg
Sugar Glaze- Light Rose-Blush shade with complimenting Golden shimmer.
Cabaret Blend- Rich shade of Cranberry creme. This shade is very pigmented and glossy.
Pink Love- Playful, Blue-toned, Bubblegum pink creme.
Rose Femme- Creamy taupe with slight Mauve undertones.
Pretty Natural- Neutral Peachy creme.
Cinnamon Spice- Light Brown with complimenting Golden shimmer.

Below I am wearing Pink Love. I had actually been wearing it for a few hours here, which is why it looks a bit "settled" into my lips. That said, I just adore this shade. I mean, I love most Pink lippies... But this one is really sweet and playful, since it is a bit cooler toned that most of the Pinks I already have.
Do you have any favorites in this bunch? Mine have to be Pink Love, Cabaret Blend and Pretty Natural. These should be available now and retail for $5.49 each.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nicole by O.P.I Carrie Underwood Collection Pinks & Corals Sparkling Ombre with Party Bus- Nail Art Look

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Thursday!!

For today's post I want to share this adorably girly obre look featuring the Pink and Coral shades from Nicole by O.P.I's Carrie Underwood Collection. For this look I also used the glitter topper from this collection. Sometimes less is more, right?
Ombre with Party Bus. photo DSCN4496_zpsdeaf5ec2.jpg
Even though there isn't much to say about this I just love how girly and fun these nails look. This ombre features (from Index to Pinkie): Some Hearts, Color me Country, Sweet Daisy and Southern Charm. These are all beautiful cremes with beautiful formulas. On my Pinkie and Thumb I did a dotted gradient using the Three Coral and Pink shades over Southern Charm. I topped the other Three nails off with Party Bus. Party Bus is a fun glitter topper made up of Silver prismatic hexes in varying sizes, and even some Flower shaped glitters.
I did have to do some fishing for the Flower glitters. I picked them out with a toothpick and placed them, then did a second coat of the glitter. To finish off my nails I did a top coat of Seche Vite.

I used Three coats of each color. The formulations on each shade is very buttery smooth and self- leveling. Some Hearts is a bright hot Coral creme. Color me Country is a sweet shade of Pink with slight Coral undertones. Sweet Daisy is a gorgeous shade of muted Coral creme. Southern Charm is a classic shade of Beige creme with slight Brown undertones. I am just in love with these shades.

Thanks for stopping by today my loves!!

Stay sparkly my beauties.

Zoya Rue- Stamped Nail Art Look

(**Press Sample**)
Happy Humpday!

Today's post is something sweet and simple. Back when I was playing with the Zoya Naturel collection I found myself going on a "stamping over nude" kick. I think I mentioned this a few weeks ago, but I just love the look of a crisp stamp over a subtle base color.
Zoya Rue Look photo DSCN3583_zpscff9d5e2.jpg
This look started with a base of Zoya's Rue. Once my base color was dry I went ahead and added a stamp from Pueen plate Pueen33. I used my Konad Black special polish for the stamp. I then top coated my nails with Seche Vite and followed with a coat of INM Northern Lights for a hint of sparkle. Even though this is a simple look, there is something sort of chic about it. I really like this stamp design as well.

Thanks for coming by!

BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette- "Brown Eyed Girl" Look feat. Pinky Paradise Geo X-tra Bella Brown Lenses & Maybelline Lavender Voltage

(**Press Samples**)
Happy Humpday!!

For today's post I want to share this eye look I did using my BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette. So, my natural eye color is a light Green. Sometimes they can look a bit more blue, sometimes a bit more icy Green. Therefore, I rarely wear Green eye makeup. I feel like Green eye makeup washes my eye color out. That is not to say that I don't love Green eye makeup. I think it is a beautiful color, and probably one of my favorite colors all around.
Enter my Pinky Paradise Geo Xtra Bella Brown circle lenses. I just love the look these lenses give my eyes (full face shots can be seen on my Instagram account @L_T_H_P). They add just the right touch of Brown, which makes my eyes look Hazel from further away. These Geo Bella Xtra lenses are some of my favorites. They give this dolly look that I am a complete sucker for. So anywho, with my newfound "Hazel" eyes I saw a window of opportunity to rock some Green makeup. So I did just that :D.
 photo BHcloseup-1_zps12158c1b.jpg
Since this look was done with a 40- color palette, non of the shadows used have actual names. I prepped my lid with an eyeshadow primer and proceeded to work with my BH Cosmetics Party Girl palette. I stuck to a softer color palette for a slightly smokey look. I found these shadows to have a smooth consistency. Some of the lighter Greens were a bit "dusty" and required extra layering of product to get some good color payoff. The Brown and more neutral shades I used on this look were all fantastic and have great pigmentation.

Since I can't name the colors, I went ahead and marked them with an asterisk on this image I got from the BH Cosmetics site. For the cateye I used Jordana Jade Jewel 12 hour eye liner. For my waterline I used Jordana in Espresso Last. For my lashes I used Ellis Faas Black mascara. I forget what I used on my brows :S.
 photo cedcbf4b-9ddb-4751-a3e2-a89a3e0146bd_zpsa42df23a.jpg

And as a "bonus" here is the lip color that went with this eye look. This is Maybelline Lavender Voltage from their Vivids collection. On this particular day I prepped my lips with the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics clear lip tap and then applied my lip color over it. I am so madly in love with this shade of lipstick. While it is a very vivid shade of Purple I still find it wearable as it has enough Pink to take it out of Goth territory.

Is there a color family that you love to see on other people but don't care for on yourself? I think for me, it will always be Green. I don't have a problem slapping on every other color on my face, but Green tends to make me nervous. That said, with the aid of my beautiful Brown lenses I feel much more comfortable going into Green makeup looks. I can't wait to play around with this palette some more. I think it has a great color and finish range.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Zoya Normani and Inglot Pro Perfection Glitter Stripes Nail Look

(**Press Samples**)
Good morning!!

Today I have a simple look featuring some Inglot Pro Perfection glitter striping polishes. Some time ago Inglot released an amazing range of striping glitter polishes and I was lucky enough to receive them for review. For this look I decided to revisit an old manicure of mine from 2011. I wanted to keep it simple because I love the classic beauty of Zoya's Normani. The glittery stripes were the perfect touch to spice up my Greige base.
Zoya Normani Look photo DSCN3781_zps979880e2.jpg
This simple look started with a base of Zoya Normani. Once my base was dry I  did my glitter stripes. I used Inglot Pro Perfection glitter stripers in #66 which is the Gold- Holographic glitter, and #92 which is a Black and Silver glitter. On my Pinky and Ring nail I did full stripes, and on my Index and Middle I did falling stripes. I finished my look off by top coating my nails with a generous layer of Seche Vite.
The Inglot Pro Perfection stripers come in a beautiful range of glitter mixes and retail for $10.00. I kind of wish they had also released some of them as regular glitter polishes. They are densely packed with sparkles and are just amazing. The only issue I have is that the brush is not very fine or easy to control (for me at least). That is the only downside I could think of with these babies. Nothing using my own stripe brush cannot fix.

Even tough this is a simple look I really love it because I can still enjoy the beauty of Normani without being too distracted by the nail art.

Thanks for coming by!

Zoya Chantal- Stamped Nail Art Look

(**Press Sample**)
Happy Friday!

Today I have a short and sweet post. I didn't do any resolutions for 2014. I don't think a new year is an excuse to be better to myself, for myself. I think we should do that all the time.. What I did do was set some blogging goals instead. One of my goals is to get back to my nail art. I feel like in the past year I really stepped away from what I love most about doing nails, and that is nail art. I decided to start off by getting back into nail stamping. Stamping was my first nail art love, and will always feel like "home" to me. I've been on a "stamping on nudes" kick lately. I just love how edgy crisp and bold stamps look over a nudey base.
Zoya Chantal Look photo DSCN3460_zps867b2d13.jpg
For this simple look I started with a base of Zoya's Chantal. For the stamped design I used Red Angel plate RA108 and Konad Black special polish. I felt a little rusty while I was stamping, but ultimately loved this look. I topped my nails off with some Seche Vite and followed that with INM Northern Lights to give my nails a touch of sparkle.

Do any of guys set any beauty,  blogging or nail goals for this year? I am determined to make 2014 a great year. Thanks for stopping by and happy Friday my beauties!

LTHP Quickies! Milani Naturally Chic LE Shadow Eyez Pencils- Swatches & Looks

(**Milani and Pinky Paraside press samples**)
Good morning and happy Tuesday!

Truffle will be here with her pick later on. For now please enjoy this quickie post covering the Milani Shadow Eyez Neutral pencils. These babies are a limited edition release. That said, they are still available online and I have seen them in stores (mostly CVS pharmacies).
Milani Shadow Eyez neutrals photo DSCN5282_zps11ee8f7b.jpg
I was/ am a HUGE fan of the original Shadow Eyez pencils. So, when I found out that Milani was releasing a set of neutral shadow pencils I was fairly ecstatic. I love everything about them. They are insanely versatile. I've used mine on their own, as powder shadow bases, as pigment bases, as an eyebrow filler and brow bone highlighter. And I dare say that they even improved the formulation of their pencils. These are SOOO much creamier, smoother and blendable. The pigmentation of every single shade is superb, perhaps even a bit much (if there is such a thing). Some of these shades are best applied with brushes, rather than using the pencil directly on the lid.
The wear on these is AMAZING. When they say 12 hours, they mean 12 hours. They are also truly waterproof. These do set quite quickly so I do have to work a bit fast with them, and one eye at a time.
Milani Shadow Eyez neutrals photo MilaniBrowns4_zpsbc699bf0.jpg
Almond Creme: an amazing shade of matte Vanilla toned creme. This shade has become my holy grail brow-bone shade as well as one of my favorite all-around bases. I will usually do a layer of my Milani eye shadow primer then a light layer of Almond Creme as a base for many of my eye makeup looks.
Sand Dunes: another MUST HAVE from this set. I mean, really! This pencil has the smoothest, creamiest application of them all. This shade is also very shimmery, but not in a tacky way. The shade itself is a very, very light shimmering Taupey-Gold It just seems to light up my lids perfectly. I also love this as inner corner highlights. This shade is sheer so it can be built up or just swiped on for a touch of shimmer.
Golden Bronze: this shade is a great accent on lids for a quick sultry Summer look. This pencil also has a very creamy application. This shade is very pigmented and a light hand works best to blend and build up.
Cafe Au Lait: is a lovely, light cocoa brown matte creme. This shade is great on the crease. This pencil if highly pigmented and is best applied with a brush.
Espresso Line is a deep, true Brown matte creme. This shade is great to  darken the outer V's of the crease as well as on the waterline. But, by far, my favorite use for this pencil is to fill in my brows. It has made it effortless for me and they always wear all day long. This shade is also best applied with a brush.
Black Ink I have not gotten to use a whole lot. I did, however, use it as a base to layer light Golden shadow over and it created the most amazing effect I had ever seen! This shade is also crazy pigmented and best applied with a brush.

Just for shiggles, here are some looks I've done using these pencils. I've applied the shadow pencils with brushes for these looks. I found this to be the best way to get even application and for ease of blending.

Featured in this look are Almond Creme, Sand Dunes, Espresso Line and just a bit of Black Ink. The lashes are some of Ardell's Double Up, #202 in Black. Milani Grandissimo lahses mascara. The cateye was done with Jesse's Girl waterfproof liquid eyeliner pen.
Milani Shadow Eyez neutrals look photo DSCN6300_zpsed1121ae.jpg

This look features a bit of Almond Creme, Sand Dunes, Golden Bronze, Espresso Line and Champagne Toast from the original set. The lenses are from www.pinkyparadise.com. They are the G&G Big DM23 in Violet. I will be reviewing the lenses themselves soon. Mascara: benefit They're Real.
Milani Shadow Eyez neutrals look photo DSCN5417_zpsbfe02d07.jpg

This was an "adventure" look for me. I wanted to try a new shape and look. I was inspired by Sokolum's signature "Almond Cat-eyes". For the Purple bit I used a mix of Shadow Eyez in Royal Purple and then I used Milani Liquid- Eye, Liquid Like pencil in Perfect Purple. I used a brush to blend and create the cat eye shape. For the Pink accents I used Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil in Woodstock. I also used Sand Dunes and Almond Creme. The purple lashes are Sugarpill's Angel Baby falsies. I had a lot of fun with this look and actually got a ton of compliments. It's always fun to try something new!

Have you picked up any of these Milani Shadow Eyez pencils? I will insist that if you have not, you are SO missing out!! These are a great product at a great price point. My faves from this set def have to be Sand Dunes, Almond Creme and Espresso Line. But they are all worth having.

Any of these catch your attention?

LTHP Quikies! Milani Color Statement Lipsticks in Browns and Neutrals

(**Press Sample**)
Good morning darlings!!

This am I have the Milani Color Statement Lipsticks in the Browns and Neutrals family. I was going through my folders and was fairly shocked to see that I had not posted these yet! This family is made up of Nine shades in the Neutrals and Browns family. There is a great range of creme, metallic and shimmer in this group.
Milani CS Browns and Neutrals photo MilaniBrowns_zpsfc7393dc.jpg
I am quite the opposite of most girls in that I don't feel right in neutral tones. For me, the brighter the better. So I have actually not made it around to wearing that many of these. But I did do some arm swatches for you guys of course.
Milani CS Browns and Neutrals photo MilaniBrowns2_zpsc1b5e338.jpg
These all had a fantastic formula and great pigmentation. I've LOVED every other Color Statement lippy I've gotten to try and I'm sure the feel of these is no exception.

I SUCK epically at describing Browns so please bare with me hahaha!

Dulce Caramelo: A sweet, light shimmering Taupe with light Pink undertones.
Naturally Chic: A wearable shade of deeper Peachy- Beige creme.
Teddy Bare: A light shade of Cocoa creme.
Candied Toffees: A deep caramel shade with slight hints of Golden shimmer.
D'Oro: Warm Golden metallic shimmer.
Bronze Beauty: An Orange toned Bronze shimmering metallic.

I need to venture into wearing some Nudes so I can find out what looks good on my skin tone. I've never really gotten into the world of Nudey lippies. I've been so wrapped up in my brights all Spring and Summer long. Maybe when Fall starts peeking it's head around I'll be in a more Earthy mood.

Have you picked up any of these? Which are your favorites?

You Don't know Jaques!

Why so harsh?

This is reaally tame for me.. Normally i would save a color like this for my toes but I really love the look I have now with the Pamplona Purple. I did this mani not expecting to love the color and surprise surprise... It's probably going to be my "go to" neutral shade. I give you...

O.P.I You don't Know Jaques
Indoors w/o Flash
Artificial Light w/ Flash
Outdoors w/ Flash.

Application was flawless and it is opaque in a good two coats. I love O.P.I. I'm never disapointed by their colors and formulas. As always my mani was topped off with two coats of Seche Vite.

China Glaze Classic Camel

The reason for the title is because today I bought a color that I wasn't immediately drawn to.. Not when I saw swathes online or  after seeing it in person several times. For some reason, I picked it up today... And lucky for me the Sun was shinning through the window of the store and what I saw made my jaw dropped a little... The color is speak of is...

 China Glaze' - Classic Camel
Vintage Vixen Collection
Artificial Light w/o flash. Very color accurate. Click for larger image.
"Classic Camel" is a half accurate name. This is a true "camel" color, that much is true.. However, this one is a little special as it has micro gold and bronze sparkles in it that make it stunning when the sun hits it as it turns it into more of a Golden Camel while not being metallic.... Ahhh! Just Stunning!! :). In the picture above I have two coats of "Classic Camel" and two coats of Seche Vite as it did not dry very smoothly which is the only negative I noticed about it. It applied very smoothly and it is VERY pigmented. You could probably get away with one coat. This is a really beautiful color and while it may look dull in the bottle and fluorescent lighting , it's really a very unique color in its own right. It was the find of the day!

Here it is with the addition of very subtle stamping...
I edited the photo to look antiqued. I was feeling the "vintage vibe".
Until my next post,
<3 Cristina
