Delush Polish Spring Awakening Collection Swatches

(**Press Samples**)
Hey it's Monday!!!

If there was a way for me to skip Mondays all together, I would do so. I despise Mondays.I don't really have an exceedingly good reason for my hatred. It is not like I go out drinking every weekend and end up with wicked hangovers to fight off on Monday. Maybe Mondays just have bad cosmic juju around them or something... And now I sound crazy... Point being I am a complete crab-ass today :S.
Know what I am not crabby about though? This beautiful Spring collection by Delush Polish. For this release Delush did Six new glittery crellys that perfectly capture the season for me. This is one of those collections where I just adore every shade. They are all so dreamy and playful. They all look like little bottled Easter eggs.

All swatches are shown with a top coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Delush Polish Fleur de Peche- This beauty is a light peachy, creme-jelly base, with a perfect amount of subtle sparkle. I am IN LOVE with the accenting glitter blend she used for this base. I can pick out red and raspberry hexes, as well as gold and varying tones of green. I love that this polish looks so "floral". I also adore the base tone as it is insanely flattering. I used Two easy coats for my swatch.

Delush Polish Basket Case- This shade is a clean White crelly base accented with tons of matte and neon glitter in smaller hexes and squares. This shade is so much fun and just awesome. The glitter colors and sizes look like a sprinkling of confetti. I used Two easy coats, though looking at this photo, I probably should have done a thin third coat.

Delush Polish Medusa's Verde- This beauty is a light seafoam green base with a perfect amount of pearlescent shimmer. Accenting this base is a blend of golden, green and copper glitters in varying shapes and sizes. I used two easy coats for my swatch.

Delush Polish I wanna Dance with some Bunny- Adorable... :D. This shade is a marshmallowy white crelly base. This one is packed with all kinds of interesting goodies. There are neon Pink hearts, large Aqua dots and large pastel yellow hexes. There are also smaller blue and pink hexes and teeny tiny yellow and pink matter glitters also. I used Two easy coats for my swatch.

Delush Polish You Blue me Away- This pretty is a vivid sky blue crelly base with a subtle shimmer. Accenting this pretty base are dark blue, ccopper, violet, pastel yellow, pink, green and golden glitters in varying shapes and sizes. I used Two easy coats for my swatch.

Delush Polish Destined for Grapeness- I can't ever get enough of these lilac crelly blends. This one features a light shimmery base accented by violet, white, blue, lavender, pink and silver glitters in varying hex sizes. I used Two easy coats for my swatch,

All of these shades have amazing formulas. I was so happy that I could get away with just two coats of each shade. They all have a fantastic spread of glitter and were very easy to work with. I love that Delush did a mix of shimmery and creme bases for this collection. I am a huge fan of shimmering crelly bases, they look so delicate and beautiful.

I am loving this entire collection. If I had to choose faves I'd go with Wanna Dance with some Bunny, Fleur de Peche and Medusa's Verde :D. Which are you loving most?

Getting alll Warm and Fuzzy

Fuzzy-wuzzy?

Sure! Why not?! Sally Hansen jumped on the funky texture bandwagon some time ago. I don't remember exactly how many different variations of these micro-bar blends they came up with; I picked up Five. I really adore these funky, fuzzy- feathery looking polishes. They make me crave ice cream with sprinkles SO bad!

These are all really densely packed with micro bars in clear bases. They are not necessarily the easiest to work with. They all did require a bit of manipulation to get an even spread of the bars all over the nail. That said, they are easy enough to work with and can look good with just one coat over your selected base color. All swatches are shown with a top coat to smooth the surface and bring out shine.

Sally Hansen Peach Fuzz over O.P.I A-piers to be Tan
Peach Fuzz is a pretty even blend of light, pastel Yellow bars and pastel Peachy Orange bars in a clear base. I loved this combination to bits!

Sally Sansen Fuzz-Sea over O.P.I Incognito in Sausalito
Fuzz-Sea is a really fun mix of  vivid Aqua Blue micro bars and vivid pastel Green bars in a clear base. I really loved how the bars looked neon over my base color.

Sally Hansen Wool Knot over O.P.I Keeping Suzi at Bay
Wool Knot is a blend of micro bars in Sky Blue and White suspended in a clear base. This mix felt very Holiday to me for some reason. Like a neat little snow-fall on my nails.

I also picked up Tweedy, which is the Black and White blend and you can see it on [THIS POST]. I also got All Yarned Up which is an adorable mix of pastel Yellow, pastel Peach and pastel Blue micro bars. I am still trying to find a good base color for that one :D.

Did you guys pick up any of the Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coats? What have been your favorite layering combinations?

Quick Friday Swatches with Essence!

Happy Friday!!!

Today I have some quick swatches Three new Essence releases. You guys may have noticed that Essence's Colour & Go line just went though a little re-vamping. The bottles were re- designed to hold more product, the brushes were slightly rounded off, but remain flat and quite a few new colors were added to the line. I was a fan before and I am a fan still. I've still not made a trip to my Ulta to see if they have the new line available yet. I'm sure they have them and I can't wait to see some more of the new shades.
To see close-ups just continue reading ♥.

Essie Tart Deco + Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow

Hi loves!!

Today I have a super pretty combo. I know I just recently did a Peachy- Gold- Red mani but this one has a little something special going on... Deborah Lippmann's Boom Boom Pow. This had been a long time lemming of mine that I never thought would actually make it to my collection. I got these two pretties in my recent Apothica haul.
So for this I sponged Boom Boom Pow over Essie's Tart Deco. Then I stamped using this pretty flower design from Konad Plated M9 in Konad Red special polish. Just for fun after it was all said and done I decided it needed a rhinestone and that pulled the whole look together for me.
Now I know Boom Boom Pow is steep at $20 a pop but I have the kind people of Apothica to thank for a sponsorship that allowed me to get a lot of Essie pretties along with this Golden stunner. BBP is full of WIN. I love all the different sized glitters in it and I love the super micro fine glitter that floats in the clear base. I also love that it is a true, bright Gold. According to the Deborah Lippmann website there is 24k Gold powder in this. I assume they mean the micro fine particles that float in the clear base giving it a Golden- cloudy look. This is just amazing and I can't wait to layer it over everything.

Essie's Tart Deco is a beautiful bright Peachy creme. The formula for this was slightly annoying. It was just a tad streaky but not too terrible. For this I used Three coats of color.
And there you have one of my favorite manis to date! I am so in love with Boom Boom Pow and Tart Deco as well. Tart deco is Summer perfection and so flattering. I am so happy to finally have some Essie's I can get excited about in my collection. I could not be more pleased with Boom Boom Pow. I mean just look at it!! It's amazing.
