China Glaze Party Hearty

Stop! Lemming time...

But seriously, anyone who says they aren't wanting this is a big, fat liar! Check out My Giveaway for a chance to win your very own bottle of Party Hearty!

China Glaze Party Hearty
'Tis the Season to be Naughty or Nice 2010
My first attempt at a glitter gradient
Epic WIN!
Left thumb.
"Party Hearty" is made up of larger Red hexagonal glitter, medium Green hexagonal glitter and very small square Silver glitter all packed together in a clear base. Safe to say this polish is pretty much exclusively a layering polish. For this mani I used China Glaze "White on White" as my base except for my ring finger for which I used "Phat Santa" (I will post about this one soon enough :). As I said before this was my first attempt at a gradient. I think it turned out pretty good :) Even my husband noticed what I was going for before I mentioned anything! There isn't much to be said about "Party Hearty" that has not been said...It is Holiday perfection! It's amazing how many effects this one polish can create too. I will be wearing this A LOT this coming Holiday season :). I used a coat of Poshe to seal it all up.

Sinful Colors Nail Junkie

Hello Lovelies,

Today I have another layering win.

Sinful Colors Nail Junkie
Indoors, Hotel Lamp Light lol
Nail Junkie
Love!
For today's mani I have "Nail Junkie" layered over Barielle's "Decadence". How stunning is this combo? Anywho "Nail Junkie" is a dark Teal jelly packed full of Teal and Golden glitter. "Nail Junkie" on it's own would never be fully opaque but if you wanted to achieve an effect to look like it is "Decadence" is the perfect base color for this Glitter. A few bloggers say this reminds them of mermaids and I agree. It has a fish scale look to it that is so pretty and interesting. For this mani I used a thick coat of "Nail Junkie" sealed up with a decent coat of Poshe. What are your favorite layering polishes?

Thanks for Reading :)

Sephora by O.P.I Havana Dreams + Flurry Up!

I love a when layering goes amazingly right!

But first here is a swatch of the very lovely:

Havana Dreams
Sephora by O.P.I
Indoors, Natural Light
I am traveling this week so I am at the mercy of the lighting in my hotel room :). "Havana Dreams" is a delicate Powder Blue creme. I just love how soft this looks on my nails. I also love that this color has the slightest hint of grey so it is not so pastel that it looks Easter-y. Application of this polish is great. I only needed two coats to achieve opacity and coverage. The formula is very smooth and well pigmented. It reminds me of winter.

Flurry Up!
Sephora by O.P.I
Indoors, Natural light
Layered over Havana Dreams
Looove!

"Flurry Up" is awesomeness in a bottle, hexagonal and micro Silver glitter packed in a clear base. Also I'd like to point out that it bares a striking resemblance to Deborah Lippmann's "Today was a Fairy Tale", biggest difference being that "TWAFT" has a blue base. So if you love "TWAFT" but don't love that $18.00 price tag, "Flurry Up" is a nice alternative at $9.00. I absolutely love this so much and I LOVE it layered over "Havana Dreams". I cannot stop staring at my nails because the bling is just blinding and beautiful. For this mani I used two coats of "Flurry Up" over "Havana Dreams" and sealed it all up with a nice coat of Poshe.

Nubar 2010

Hello Lovelies,

I have seen the light, the Flakie light! I see what the big deal is over these and I don't understand why these flakie style polishes are so unaccesible :(. Every polish addict needs to own at least one flakie polish. Onto some prettyness!

Nubar 2010
Layered ove OPI Suzi says Feng Shui
Sunlight
Shade
I really love the effect the flakes are creating over "Suzi says Feng Shui". It kinda reminds me of the type of Sunset Sky where the clouds are pink and golden against a blue sky. Just beautiful! For this mani two coats of Nubar 2010 were used and Seche Vite as a top coat.

Nubar 2010
Layered Over OPI Black Onyx
Shade. **Mega Drool**

Layered over Black Nubar's 2010 does magical things. Although I have a feeling this flakie could make anything stunning. To me this looks like when a fire is dying and just the embers are left. I just love Nubar's 2010 and I really am wanting more flakies now. For this mani Two coats of Nubar 2010 were used and for the first time a coat of Poshe top coat was used. I decided to try Poshe after one of my lovely readers (Thanks Dora :) recommended it to me. I will be doing a review and comparison pretty soon of both Seche Vite and Poshe top coats. As for Nubar 2010... It is so going in my Epic WIN tab :).
