Pink Wednesday!! Color Club Jackie Oh! and O.P.I Navy Shatter

Holy smokes!

Ready for a lame joke? I have a much better name for this color. Jackie Ouch! Because it hurts my eyes to look at it it's so freaking bright. Of course my camera did not like this at all but I tried my best.

Jackie Oh! is so bright it puts my CG Shocking Pink to shame. This first picture is the closest to tone accurate. It is a really pretty neon Pink tone.It is a true hot Pink. About 100 times brighter than the picture makes it look. Here I layered it over one coat of CG White on White and it kind of brought out a bit of an orange tone in the color. The formula is really good on this. It is not draggy or streaky at all. Next time I wear this I will not layer it over white. Here I have it with one coat if W'n'W Kaleidoscope over Jackie Oh!.

And here is the whole thing under Navy Shatter from O.P.I. I freaking love this so much. I especially love how the sparkle peeks through the squishy jelly shatter. I'm also really loving the contrast of the Navy with the hot, hot neon Pink. Oh! And using SV with Navy Shatter did not cause the same wrinkle issue I had with O.P.I RapiDry top coat.
Someday they will make a camera that can tolerate neons lol and that day shall be glorious but until then take my word on this: If you love neon and Pink, then Jackie Oh! is a color to have in your collection. The formula is great and the color is even better!

Happy Pink Wednesday!

O.P.I Blue Shatters Swatches

Hello lovelies!

Today I finally got to play with the Blue Shatters! These are so awesome. I'll just get straight to the pics... I know! I know! I'm sorry Muffin is not here today but I just didn't have the time to get all caught up with my nail mail and prepare to go away for the weekend for the Miami Beauty Show. Pics will come later :). The show was an amaziiiing time. I got to meet the lovely girls from Bettina and THE Bettina herself! Pictures will be coming soon! AND Muffin will be back for sure next Monday because Mr. LTHP will finally be home! I hope you all enjoyed my O.P.I week!

First up is my favorite Turquoise Shatter. This one is so amazing. It's a shimmery Turquoise with the slightest Green duochrome. The formula on this one was really good. Similar to that of Silver Shatter so a medium coat will do the job. Here is it over one of my all time favorite Pinks, O.P.I Feelin' Hot Hot Hot. IDK why it wrinkled but my O.P.I Rapi-Dry Top coat did this to all Three shatters so I'll have to try it again with SV. I waited a long time before applying the TC too.

Here is Blue Shatter. This one is a true shimmery Blue shatter. The formula for this one was slightly thick, like that of CG's Fault Line. This one also had the least amount of shatter to it. Here I have it layered over O.P.I Do you think I'm Tex-y?. I love this over a jelly!

And here is Navy Shatter. I absolutely LOVE this one. However, due to it's squishy consistency you have to choose what you layer it over carefully or it could just end up looking Black. Here it is layered over O.P.I What's with the Cattitude? I love this combo so much. Pardon the bald spot in the middle finger. It appears my base was not fully, fully dry. This one shattered the most.

And just for fun here is another swatch of Do you think I'm Tex-y?. <3333

And a swatch of one of my very first O.P.I's Feelin' Hot Hot Hot. One of the most amazing hot Pink's EVER! End of story :).

I say Navy and Turquoise are absolutely must haves! Blue is really fun, but if you like them to shatter a lot then this might not be for you. The formula is easy to work with and the brush makes the application very easy. I say for all three that a medium-thick coat will get them to shatter best. With shatter polishes it's really a personal prefference and I suggest just playing around with them. I can't wait to layer these over EVERYTHING! haha <33

SO, which shatters will you be jumping on?

O.P.I Glam Slam Duos

Hello Darlings,

For today's post I have the Two Serena Glam Slam Duos. I hope you all enjoyed my Pirates Series. I had an amazing time playing with that collection and cannot wait to wear the colors again.

So I'll get started with Spark du Thriomph and White Shatter. Like many girls out there, I was questioning these two together but there was no need because the combo is pretty amazing. I love Spark du Thriomp. Its a super sparkly micro and slightly larger round glitters packed in a clear base. I love the tone the glitter is in too. It is an interesting mega light shade of Green? Super pretty! It starts out pretty sheer on the nail but it builds up nicely and at Three coats I had full coverage.

And this is Rally Pretty Pink and Red Shatter. RPP look familiar? It is... Looks just like Zoya Faye. However, I do not even care because I love this color so much I could have 50 different bottles of it. You know those shimmery Plums that have the Golden flash running through them... I will say the RPP had much better coverage only needing Two coats. I really loved the combination of Red Shatter over RPP. I love the jelly- like texture of Red Shatter.

I love these duos. At first I was questioning the pairings but I grew to love them practically immediately. The shatters are so much fun and I will be wearing them a lot!

Will you be picking up any of the duos?

O.P.I Brights: Pirates of the Caribbean Collection Swatches

Hi lovelies,

Just a quick second post today with my final thoughts on the whole collection and all the colors together. I hope you guys enjoyed my PIrate's mani series. These colors were a blast to play around with. Here they are all together.
On Stranger Tides

Steady as she Rose

Sparrow me the Drama

Skull and Glossbones

Mermaid's Tears

 Planks a Lot
So many of you know my initial reaction to this collection was not the best one. I was sad the colors were not vampier and more "Pirate-y". My disappointment subsided as soon as I was able to see these colors outside of setting where a salesgirl wasn't asking me if I needed help every five minutes lol. I have a soft spot for muted and murky colors and once I was able to see that ALL these colors fit that bill I was in love. O.P.I has this ability to make colors that creep up on me and I always end up loving what they do. The formula on all of this colors is beyond amazing. Even though they are soft "pastel- like" colors the formula did not reflect that at all with how smooth and consistent it was. I have to say my top Three are definitely On Stranger Tides, Steady as She Rose and Mermaids Tears. Of course, Silver Shatter is an absolute must have as well. I will say that now I am super excited for the movie to come out and wear an awesome mani with the awesome colors from this great collection! EPIC Win!

What are your favorites from this collection?

O.P.I Pirates Week- Planks a Lot & Silver Shatter

Shiver me timbers?

I've had soo much fun working on these Pirates inspired manis. I hope you guys have enjoyed them as much as I did working on them.

For the final mani in the series I have Planks a Lot. This is the Purple in the collection and it is such a pretty one. This one is the least "murky" of the colors. It is still pretty muted and still has that same interesting quality the rest of the colors have. This also had a great formula and was opaque in two coats. For this design I had to really use my imagination because between the name and the color itself I had trouble tying it all into the Pirates theme. So use your imaginations here lol... You're a pirate and it's night... You're about to walk the plank (get it, get it? lol) you look down and all you see it dark sea waters... Inspired by the night sea I used O.P.I Funky Dunkey and Teas-y Does It for the sponging and Russian Navy for the stamping with BM plate 222. I would suggest clicking these for details.

And here it s under Silver Shatter. This turned out to be my second favorite Shatter combo.

I hope you lovelies enjoyed these Pirate Series designs. I had such a fun time working on these. I will have a recap of the whole collection later on with my final thoughts on the collection and with all the colors together.

Thank you for stopping by today <3

O.P.I Pirates Week- Mermaids Tears & Silver Shatter

Here it is...

The day has come when I finally wear Mermaids Tears. I can see what all the hype is about now. Wow... Just Wow!

This color is beautiful That is all there is to it. Mermaids Tears is a murky, light Jade Green creme. This color could have had the formula from hell but instead it has the most amazing, creamy and smooth formula out of any light Green I own. I just needed Two effortless coats for full coverage. For this one I decided to create the look of mermaid tails using O.P.I Yodel me on my Cell for the sponging on the tips and Ski Teal we Drop for the netting stamp from plate BM209. I lalalalalove this manicure soo much. This actually turned out how I saw it in my head.

This is probably my favorite combo so far. These Two play soo well together!
Thoughts on this lightbox pic? I'm still playing around with
lighting and such.

And there you have my mermaid nail mani. I may have to replicate this for the day I go see the movie because I love how it turned out sooo much!

What do you guys think?
