From the VAult: SpaRitual Running with Wolves

Happy Sunday!

Today's post will be anther quick one. This color came out for Fall 2011 and it is by SpaRitual. This came from their Wilde Collection and it is a really unique and sultry color.
So... pretty awesome huh? It's a nice Coppery shade with Amber shimmer. This polish has a great formula and it is very heavily pigmented. It is a super flattering shade but it is quite eye-catching in a very good way. This is another one of those "glow from within" colors. Great shade for the Holidays.
Off to decorate my house and tree... Which we have had in the house for like a week looool!

Thanks for stopping by!

31 Day Challenge! Day 15- Delicate Print Nails

Hi Guys!!!

Ugh... Monday.... That could explain why I just wasn't feeling this challenge task at all... Shall we get on with it?
I wanted to play with bold and delicate.. Well, that, and Phoebe stained the crap out of my nails so I had to go for a very pigmented and full coverage color that wouldn't need more than Two coats because I was finding my patience running thin with this particular task. "Delicate Nails" are just not my thing. For this look I started with Two coats of SpaRitual Running with Wolves and using Bundle Monster plate BM201 and Zoya's Austine I stamped this swirly and pretty design on. All topped off with a coat of SV.

And there you have it! It's a Monday and I am just not feeling it today.... lol... Hopefully Sam and Rie are having a better Monday than me :)... Don't forget to check out Sam and Rie's blogs to see their Delicate nails!

Ok, see you guys maybe later... but definitely tomorrow (which I am also dreading!!)

Pink Wednesday!! SpaRitual Clarity + Zoya Anja

Happy Pink Wednesday!

For this Pink Wed I'm doing something a little different. I wanted to see this SpaRitual pretty layered over something contrasting and Zoya's Anja was the perfect choice.
Clarity is one of the Three amazing glitters that SpaRitual released as breast cancer awareness collection. It is a lovely Pink glitter suspended in a clear base. Definitely a layering polish.

Sorry it's short and sweet today. Things will be back to normal soon.

I ♥ you guys!

Pink Wednesday!! SpaRitual In Pink Breast Cancer Awareness 2011 Swatches

Hi loves and happy Pink Wednesday!

Today I have swatches of SpaRitual's Breast Cancer Awareness collection for 2011. This is a small group made up of Three amazing shimmery, glittery lacquers. I'm really loving this BCA collection. Beautiful polish with a cause is always great. Shall we get to the pretties?
Up first is Strength. This one is one of the ever popular Plummy Pink shimmers with a Golden/Green duochrome throughout. Similar in concept to Zoya's Faye but with a Pink-er base instead of Plum. They are not dupes by any means. This color is stunning and it has a great two coat formula.

This one is Clarity. This one is really more of a layering polish but here I have it on it's own because I wanted to see if it could be built up to full coverage on it's own. The answer is yes, kind of. This polish is made up of very small light Pink glitter suspended in a clear base. Here I am wearing Three coats of Clarity. In person this actually looked really cool. Like Pink disco balls on my tips.

And last is what turned out to be my favorite of the Three, Knowledge. This one is a mixture of very light Pink micro sparkle mixed in with some holographic/ iridescent glitter and a slight Golden duocrhome under all that. UH- mazing! It's like pixie dust on my nails because it is such a fine sparkle but it build up to opacity in Three coats. This one is really one to be seen in person.

I'm in love with these! They are sparkly, Pink and for a good cause. What else could you want in a polish?

SpaRitual Wilde Fall 2011 Collection Swatches

Good Afternoon loves!!

This time around I have swatches of SpaRitual's Wilde Fall 2011 Collection. I have been excited about this collection from the moment I saw the press release. This group consists of Six gorgeous jewel tones shimmers, glassflecks and a semi frost. This collection is by far one of my favorites to come out for fall so far.... Shall we get started?
SOO! of course the second I started swatching the Sun decided to go away so I only have shade pics of two of the colors and the rest were done in my light box. I will be revisiting these soon in the Sun. in the pic above I am wearing my top pick from this collection Sacred Ground. This is just spectacular. It is a mix of Graphite, Purple and Gold micro glassflecks with incredible depth and dimension. This reminds me of those stones that you might find that look like they have mica in them. The formula is a solid two coater and easy to work with.

This is Rhythm of Life. This one is much Greener in person but my camera was freaking out a ton at it. This one is an Emerald tone with a slight frosty finish. It has just the slightest duochrome, but it is very subtle. It seems to shift from Green to Turquoise. This one also has a great, two coat formula.

Another stunner brought to you by this collection.... Running with Wolves is an amazing copper shimmer that is very heavily pigmented and dense. It looks like Amber sap from a tree. Just amazing!! This one also has a great Two coat formula.

Spirit Child, a bright and bold Ruby Red shimmer with slight Golden undertones. This one is not the most unique color but biy is it beautiful. I have nothing like it in my collection. This color is insanely flattering and it also applies perfectly. This is two coats.

Instinct made my camera freak out yet again. This is much more Red. Think of an eggplant Purple shimmer and you get Instinct. This color had the most sheer formula of the Six needing Three coats to achieve full coverage and opacity. This is also another love jewel tone. I'd say close to an Amethyst Purple maybe?

Howl. I can't wait to show you Sunlight pics of this baby! This is a Blackened Brown shimmer. Does that make sense? It's stunning, sexy deep and mysterious. Another unique addition to my collection from this group. This one also has a great, two coat formula. This one reminds me of a Smoky quartz or a Chocolate Diamond.

I am a sucker for anything jewel toned. When I look at all these colors together I see a gem for each one. A Ruby, an Emerald, Amber, Quartz.. etc... SpaRitual has really got my attention with this collection. Even though it is a Fall collection each color is vibrant and rich. I love that they strayed away from the more drab tones that I'm seeing from the other companies, which I still love, but I want variety in my shades for Fall and this collection absolutely delivers. SpaRitual polishes can be puchased at SkinCare Rx.

So which are your faves from this collection? I love Sacred Ground, Howl and Running with Wolves soo much!

Harry Potter Slytherin House Inspired Nails!!

Hi lovess!!!! I know A THIRD post for the day! I couldn't wait to share these with you guys!

I can hear the collective nerdgasm over the happenings of today as I type this. It all ends here. I can't believe it's been 11 years since these movies started... I'm not like a hardcore Harry Potter fan by any means but I do enjoy the movies quite a lot. Late last year I had a chance to visit The Wizarding World of HP at Universal Studios Orlando and it was so mind blowing!

So for I decided to do themed nails for such an epic occasion. I kept it simple and turned my nails into little shields. If I had any kind of freehand ability I would have done little snakes in the center. I really like the finished mani even though it is not my bestest taping job. This was my first time doing the checkered pattern and it was a little more involved than I thought it would be. Erika makes it look so easy....
So for this mani I did alternating nails in Zoya's Trixie and SpaRitual's Twisted Vine. I ran into somewhat of an issue when I was painting over the Silver because the formula is slightly sheerer than I thought it was so it was having issues fully covering the Silver... But when it was all said and done I really liked this mani.

I went with Slytherin House because I'm convinced that would be my placement in Hogwarts. I'm a little dark and misunderstood lol... So I would fit right in!
Are you going to a midnight showing? And what was on your nails!?

SpaRitual Twisted Vine + Golden Rule

Today I have some more colors from my recent Apothica haul. This is a brand that I was never really curious about because I've read that it's basically Orly in a different bottle... But moving on... I did manage to find two mini pretties that I figured would be a good introduction to the brand and I'm very curious now....

This is Golden Rule. A pretty Gold glitter suspended in a clear base. I love the glitters in this. It is a mix if small and even smaller Gold glitters. For this I only did one coat of Golden Rule over Twisted Vine.

And this is the lovely Twisted Vine. An amazing Hunter Green creme. This is such an awesome Fall color IMO. However this does look very familiar to Orly's Enchanted Forest.  The formula was good and easy to work with. For this I did Two coats of Twisted Vine.
I really love this combo and I'm thinking waaaay ahead here... Wouldn't this be an awesome holiday mani?
