Frankens by Polish for Thought

Happy Sunday!!

Today I have Four lovely frankens that were sent to me by Nicole of Polish for Thought. She sent me some pretty cute creations and left the task of naming them up to me, which was a lot of fun. She wanted me to be "punny" and funny with the names so I did my best to try and live up to her expectations since she gave me awesome colors to work with :D!
To see swatches of these pretty frankens just keep on reading :D!

Ulta 3 Pacific Fever- Win of Wins!

Good morning and happy Friday!!

Today I have a lovely Aussie polish from the brand Ulta3. This brand releases some AMAZING colors and I really wish that we got them here in the U.S. I got this pretty thanks to the lovely Carina. I've only worn this once.... WHYYY?!!! As I was applying this color yesterday I kept wondering why this had not been on my nails more than once. I wore these nails last night to a work party along with a pretty Turquoise stones necklace and it looked soo pretty! So, should I stop blabbing now and let you take a peek at this amazing polish?
For more details about this lovely polish and layering just keep on reading.

Julep Amy - I want to love you Julep....

Hi loves!!!

Today I have a simple swatch. Ok... so get this... I was feeling blah last week and having all kinds of issues with my stomach and such... This week I started to feel better and back into the swing of things... Well last nite I started feeling kinda crappy again.. I caught my hubby's cold!! So I am back now to square one and having to resort to my emergency swatches!! I am so on the fence with the Julep brand. I've been reading nothing but negative things about them lately but... You know what? I bothered to do the swatches so I'll show them anyways.... Needless to say I'm no thrilled with the way they have been handling themselves. They have been gracious to me but it almost seems unfair... There is nothing wrong with the product (well except for the prices $$$$) but I'm not to happy about the CS horror stories I've been reading. I have a few more colors and I will be showing them randomly because they are still pretty.
So, Amy is a pretty Turquoise creme. It's a lovely unique shade and the formula on this baby is a dream. I only needed two effortless coats for full opacity. This is such a saturated color and so very vibrant. This particular shade dried to a somewhat Satin-like finish. In the pics here I have no top coat on because I was kinda digging the slightly muted shine on my nails.

And for some reason I'm really enjoying this angle of pic and how it shows the color so it may become a regular thing for me :).
And there you have Julep's Amy. I hope to get over this cold quickly so I can get back on top of my game. Seems like I can't catch a break with my health lately :(.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Barielle Karma Kollection Swatches

Happy Caturday!!!

For today I have some swatches from Barielle's Karma Kollection. From this group I chose to review Do Onto Others, Buddha- Ful and Gotta Have Fate. There are Three more stunning colors that are part of this pretty summer group but these were my picks and I am so beyond happy with them.
Here is Buddha- Ful over Do Onto Others. This combo is stunning! Having Do onto Others as my base really brought out the beautiful flakies in Buddha-Ful. This was my favorite combo. It looks like a mermaid's tail, or the most amazing beach water ever.

And here is a swatch of the lovely Do onto Others. This one is an amazing Turquoise creme with the most amazing formula. I can't get over how effortlessly Barielle cremes apply. This color is like Key West water on your nails. So in other words: Summer Perfection. This is Two coats of color and no top coat.

And once again here is Buddha- Ful layered over  Gotta Have Fate.

And here is Gotta Have Fate one more time.

Now this I couldn't wait to see on the nail. This is the amazing Buddha- Ful  all on it's own. I was worried that this color would never become fully opaque but there was no need to worry as this pretty became opaque at Three thin coats. The formula on this color is amazing and easy to work with. The look it creates is so interesting, almost like fish scales on a naked nail. The Green iridescent flakies really make this super unique.
I have said it a million times before and I will say it again. I need more Barielle!! I can't wait to see what they do for fall and/ or the holidays. I hope whatever they do that it involves more Flakies :)!

Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by,
♥ Cristina

Color Club Age of Aquarius

Let me throw some more BRIGHT nails your way...

Apparently I am in a bold mood lately. This one came from the Miami Beauty Show. It just so happened that the Two Color Clubs I picked up were neons, which is unsual because I don't normally gravitate to neons. Well I was really drawn to this amazing shade of Turquoise. My pictures are not very accurate for this one, I'm sorry.
Age of Aquarius is an amazing neon Turquoise creme. I cannot rave enough about the formulas on these Color Club polishes... Just amazing. This was soo buttery smooth and easy to work with. Because it is neon t dries to a satin finish so it does need a top coat to bring out the shine. This color is far Greener than my pictures show. However (making excuses for my camera lol) my camera just does not like neons, let alone a Turquoise one lol. You guys get the idea right? This is so beautiful and just fun. This was Three coats.

Do you have any neon Color Clubs? Which are your faves?

Ulta 3 Pacific Fever

Hi!

Today I have another pretty from my swap with Gilded Nails. This one is the AMAZING Ulta 3's Pacific Fever. I've never seen anything like this. I'm pretty much in awe of this color.
Plate: A01, Konad SP White
Sooo... Where do I start? This is one of the prettiest colors I have in my entire collection. It's a creamy shimmer that looks like I layered polishes to achieve the look, except I did not. The sparkle in this just seems to float on the beautiful Turquoise base. Pacific Fever, how I wish you had an American dupe lol. I honestly have never seen a color quite like this one. The formula on this is flawless. This is two effortless coats and for the first time ever Qtica's Extending Top Coat (I'll let you know how that goes in a few weeks lol).
And there you have one of the most amazing polishes in my collection. It's just flawless... That is all there is to it! A big thank you to Carina for sending me this beauty.

Thoughts?

American Eagle Nail Polishes

Hello lovelies,

So over the weekend my mommy, a friend of ours and myself went on a little (much deserved) girls day out at the mall. It was great , I always have the best time with my mom. We're "like this" *crosses fingers* lol. So anyways, while there I made a pit stop for some much needed new jeans. Truth is that no jeans fit me like American Eagle jeans. So while I was headed for the checkout this huge bowl of nail polishes caught my eye. They had a few neons and the colors I'm about to show you today. They are so cute. I love the bottles (they hold a little less than a Hard Candy bottle).

So these pretties are un-named. I would call 90 Miles to Cuba. I know that's a bit obscure but basically from Key West, FL to Cuba it's 90 miles. This color reminds me of Key West beach water. But I didn't want to come up with something so obvious lol. Key West beach water is literally this exact shade of Turquiose. Just stunning. The shimmer in this so perfectly captures that essence of Key West. The formula for this was a BITCH. It was like that of a neon. You know? Where it is streaky and likes to drag. This was Three patient coats and I will say that it is so worth it. The final product is a beautiful and calming creamy Turquiose shimmer.

And this one I couldn't think of anything cool so I'm just gonna call it Coral Bits. This one is a Coral-y- Red. Sooo pretty. I'm not sure how I chose this over the pretty neons but something about the juiciness of this color was speaking to me. Not quite Red, not quite Coral but something in-between. This one unlike 90 miles to Cuba has a dreamy formula. It borders on being jelly like and it is super easy to work. This was two coats.
For last minute little impulse buys I am super happy with these cuties. I am willing to get over the fact that the Turquiose shade has a crappy formula because I managed to solve the issue in Three coats and the color payoff is so worth it. I am also really loving the Coral shade because it is so perfect for the coming summer months.

What do you think? Will you be checking your AE's for polishes?

Nicole by O.P.I Too Rich for You + Nicole...Spotted

Hello lovelies,

Today I have two Nicole by O.P.I colors by mama in law got for me. She is soo funny about getting me polishes because she is more discriminating about it than I am lol. See, she also sells Avon and I remember her telling me one day "I was going to get you some Avon polishes, but I figured you wouldn't want to try those" WRONG! lol I'll try any polish! I love polish. I love trying new polish. Cheap, expensive, ugly, pretty, I'll try anything anyone sends me or gets me. It's fun for me to try colors or brands that I would not normally buy myself because you never know what hidden gems you might find that way. So, anywho she got for me these two beauties from the Gossip Girl Collection and now I'm gonna show you them :) Ready?   Ok...

I'll get started with Too Rich for You. This is a stunning Blackened Navy Blue shimmer that is absolutely stunning! I love these types of Blackened shades a lot because they are always so mysterious and sexy without being typical, like say a Vampy Wine shade. The formula for this was ok. Just ok. It has good pigmentation and is opaque in Three coats but it can drag a little so keep your hand light and steady with this one. As you can see it kinda levels it self out nicely and after that Third coat it was absolute perfection. I gasped a little when I saw this in the Sun. No joke.
Blurred for sparkle
And here is Nicole... Spotted. This one is a beautiful Aqua jelly base packed full of micro and round glitter in holo and like a coppery holo. You may be thinking this looks like CG Atlantis but this actually reminds me more of Sinful Colors Nail Junkie. However with this one the base is slightly more opaque. This you see here is Three coats of Nicole... Spotted. I know it would probably pop more if it was layered over something but I'm really digging this naked mermaid thing my nails have going on. In shade  or inside lights there was actually no VNL. Just a sheer wash of Aqua Sparkle over my nails that is totally squishy and gorgeous.
Blurred for Sparkle
And there you have it. My mom in law needs to give herself more credit! Aren't these beautiful? Now here is my only issue with Nicole by O.P.I... I FREAKING HATE THE SHAPE OF THE BOTTLES!!! Like with the passion. They wont sit right in my racks... So freaking annoying. But so be it, I'm willing to deal with it if it means beautiful polishes like these.

Any Nicole's you guys recommend as must haves?

China Glaze Turned up Turquiose + Black Diamond

Hubby's Choice!

I was feeling so very uninspired so I asked my hubby to pick me a color or some colors to do something with... He came back with a pretty bad ass combo and this is what I came up with.
Turned up Turquoise is exactly just that! Practically neon but with a beautiful micro shimmer that makes the color seem like it could glow in the dark. The formula is very opaque and smooth. I only needed Two coats of Turned up Turquoise for my mani. This shade dries matte but once I added a coat of Seche Vite it made the color look like beach water. This shade is a lot Greener than my pictures show but my camera was freaking out at this color a little. Black Diamond is just amazing! It's an almost Black shimmer that is so edgy and beautiful. Even though I didn't officially swatch this color I can tell the formula is great and has great coverage as you can see. Turned up Turquoise doesn't even peek through Black Diamond. I really love this mani and this color combo. I'm a big fan of edgy and not necessarily girly looks.

What are your favorite kinds of manis?
