I was feeling musical today...

  Besides nail polish, I am also obsessed with music and the piano. The second I saw this Konad plate I had to get it and do this design...

China Glaze White on White

 I really like the outcome of this idea... However I will say that working with a white base while doing stamping with black polish was a better idea on in my head. I had a hard time cleaning around the nails and Keeping the white base clean and white. The finished look is pretty good. I'm sure with more practice my stamping will be better :). I did get some compliments at work with this design which is nice!

Light Speed!!

 "What the hell is an Aluminum Falcon?" .... Obscure Reference of the day... Did anyone else get this at all?... Probably not.... Onto some NAILS :)!

  So I was watching Star Wars (Yes... Star Wars) and had the urge to do some Star Wars inspired nails... See, one of the scenes when the Millennium Falcon jumps into "hyperspace" came on (please someone get this, lol) and it reminded me of one of my glitter top coats and I just had to go for it... Hang on to something...

  My husband brought me this bottle of awesome all the way from Canada. Yes people, I let my husband pick my polishes, lol. Back to the topic, this is an awesome glitter top coat but as you can see it's not your usual glitter. This application was me more so dabbing the brush onto my nail than gliding. Gliding was creating a more scattered look and I wanted a bit more density. I went with a black base to better show the glitter itself, but more importantly creating the "light speed" effect, sort of :).

Hello again!

  It is time for a pedi post! I know, I know... Feet = yucky blah blah... But this is mah blog and I like mah feets... Anwho I have on my toes one of the most beautiful purple shades to have ever graced my nails.

   I am in loooove with this purple shade. It applied perfect and it was opaque in two coats as usual. It's a very mature shade (not in your face at all, but very rich) and I cannot wait to wear this on my fingernails. But for now I am really enjoying this on my toes and it works really well with my skin tone. As always it was topped off with a coast of Seche Vite. This is just lovely plum-y goodness. I need to get more colors from this collection and soon :).

Orly Lunar Eclipse

We could spend the night, watch the earth come up.... 

  I have gone Cosmic with Orly once again. This is my second swatch from the Cosmic FX Collection by Orly. I only own two of the colors because a lot of the colors in this collection looked like dupes. Anywho this one I really enjoy. It's very bright and very edgy.

  This is a beautiful Dark Indigo blue jelly packed full of Blue, Pink and Purple sparkles. It looks like "outer space" on your nails. This color is bright and I mean bright! The only cons I have is that the wear wasn't very impressive. Even after 3 coats of polish and 2 coast of Seche Vite to finish it all off it managed to fade on the edges of my nail within a couple of hours of application :(. So, this is what I'm going to call "going out" polish, since the wear (on me) was not very good. I had the same issue with my other color from this collection, Space Cadet. But don't let that deter you from these polishes. They are beautiful and will be the hit of any party you go to, plus they are so much fun to stare at especially in sunlight :).
