Maybelline Colorama Swatches and I won!!

Yay! Remember Coloramas?

But First! I want to thank everyone who took the time to vote for my entry in the Bundle Monster Facebook contest! I was one of the winners! I placed 6th!!! (WOW!) I am super excited because I never win anything and you guys made it happen for me so it means a lot!! Thank you everyone!

I remember buying Coloramas soo much back in like 2005 or 2006. Back when I only had a few bottle of polish and actually used them up until they were gone. I have a soft spot for Coloramas. On my wedding day I remember ruining one of my nails and it was an old Colorama that my mom had saved that saved my wedding day mani. Stephanie from Imperfectly Painted sent me these Four pretties and I am so happy to have some Coloramas in my collection again.

First is the pretty Coral Reef. I am almost certain I've had this color before. I think this may have been my very first venture into bright colorful polishes. So this is pretty self explanatory lol. It is a pretty Coral-y Pink with a great creamy formula. This is two coats.

Up next is Fuchsia Fiesta. This one is a pretty bright Pink with a slight Purple Flash throughout. This one also had a great, Two coat formula.

This is Emerald Frost. The name really throws me off for this one. 1. It's not actually frosty at all, just very sparkly and shimmery. 2. It's not Green lol! This is a light Blue shimmer with some slight Seafoam undertones and lots of Holo Sparkles. This one needed Three coats.

Hello Cupid's Wing. This one is a White creme with lots of Silvery Sparkle. This one is really pretty and makes me think of Christmas time. The formula was slightly thick but not terrible. For this swatch I used Two coats of color.

And just for fun here is a swatch of Pure Ice Splash, also a gift from Stephanie. This one is a light Dusty Sky Blue foil with a somewhat sheer formula. This one took Four coats for full opacity. I still really like this color. Great for Summer!

Did you guys partake in the Coloramas? I miss them They always had the cutest colors and they were so cheap. I remember I looved these little Colorama bottles and I'd find myself buying them because the bottles were so darn cute lol. I still kind of do that. Do any of you guys do that too?

What old school polishes do you miss?

Pink Wednesday!! China Glaze Rich and Famous

Hello Pink lovers!

For today I went with a suggestion from one of mah lovelies. This is the awesome Rich and Famous by China Glaze. I really wanted to do something really girly and cute for this one to go along with the name of the polish. I am loving these two Konad plates (M59,77). They have the cutest stamps. I really love the one with the big bows. Also, today I achieved my goal of swatching my entire collection. All of it. All 315 colors. Yes, that's right... As one of my twitter pals put it... "Is that like reaching the end of the Internet?" Now this doesn't mean they have all been blogged but they have all been worn in one way or another. Now I feel like I can go back an wear colors again lol. I'll be throwing some swatches your way these coming days. I hope you guys like :).
I have featured this pretty before but I'll give you the nutshell blurb about this polish. It is an awesome Barbie Pink creme that applies like a dream. This is Two coats of color. It's not terribly unique but it's bright and bold, so I like it :). I really love the stamps on this one!

Also, just one more day left to vote in the Bundle Monster constest! Please take a sec and check my entry out? You can vote for it by clicking on the picture on the top of the right side-bar. Please haaalp me!

Happy hump day!

Revlon Steel her Heart

Hello ladies and not,

Today I have a swatch of a color I got in a mini- swap I did with Steph from Imperfectly Painted. She is awesome with a capital A. I don't remember how we got on the topic of Maybelline Colorama polishes but Steph and I were Twittering and she mention she had Four Coloramas she could send my way so I said "Hells Yeah!" and along with the Coloramas she sent me a beautiful Pure Ice polish and this Revlon shade.
Steel her Heart is what I wanted China Glaze's Avalanche to be.... Steel her Heart is a beautiful Gunmetal Grey metallic. Even though it is slightly brush-strokey, with careful application it can be prevented. The artificial light pics are picking up a lot of the Silver tones which make it look frosty, but this is not frosty at all. The formula is good on this color, easy to work with but watch out for brush strokes. In the pics above I have Two coats of color and no top coat.
Sorry I haven't been doing more creative things lately but I have been seriously stuck on this goal of swatching my entire collection. I am only 11 colors away from having that done so I have been swatching like crazy and not stamping enough. I have a few things I want to start working on as soon as my swatching project is completed so things should be getting more exciting around here pretty soon. In the mean time I hope you are liking my swatches.

Also if you have not yet done so, pretty please check out my entry for the Bundle Monster Facebook contest. You can vote once every 24 hrs until April 20th. Please help me win one of these sets gals! You can check out my entry by clicking the picture on the right side bar.

Thanks for stopping by :)

O.P.I Houston we have a Purple + Barielle Elle's Spell

I know, I know...

It's Monday and you're probably wondering where Muffin is... Well, she is on a break. See, Muffin Mondays are a collaborative effort between Mr. LTHP and myself. Currently Mr. LTHP is away (big exciting things are happening) and I have no way to setup/ take the pictures. Working with animals is not ever easy lol. Muffin will be back in a couple of weeks but until then please enjoy onr of my new favorite combos!
For this mani I used Three coats of Houston we have a Purple by O.P.I and then I did a thin layer of Barielle's Elle's Spell. I love how it looks like the flakies are floating on top of the jelly base. I'm also loving how the burgundy jelly base in Elle's Spell adds so much more depth to Houston we have a Purple. In the Sunlight it is even more spectacular. I suggest clicking the pics for detail.
Just for fun here is another swatch of HWHAP.

Jelly over Jelly = Jelly Awesomesauce! And how gorgeous is HWHAP in the Sunlight!? I'm having issues getting these sorbets to wrap around the tips of my nails but whatevs, it's a minor issue that can be solved very easily.

Also, if you have not yet done so check out the Bundle Monster FB contest! [HERE] is my entry. All you have to do is give is a thumbs up! Please help me win one of their new sets :) While there check out the other entries as well :).

Muffin sends her love!
