Boo on Zoya for over spelling such a simple and beautiful name looool...

  Anyways, today I have my Zoya namesake. I actually happen to like it quite a lot even though the color is the complete opposite of who I am. I'm loud and obnoxious and weird and random and this color is delicate, soft and totally bridal.

  The reason why I only have a swatch is because I had intended this on being the base for a bridal water marble for my besties series but I kinda failed miserably because Zoya's Raven was just not made for marbling :(. But moving on.... I will eventually achieve my bridal marble... For now please enjoy a swatch of this lovely color.

Christinna is a lovely pearly White with just a touch of Silvery Grey. This color has a slightly sheer formula but it applies easy and dries quick. I really love this because it is such a wearable white. Here I have Three coats and no top coat. Pardon the janky ring finger nail. I had to patch it up because of a low break that could suck majorly.

Pink Wednesday!! Bettina Pinks Watermarble

Hi loves!!

  Today I have another Special Pink Wednesday! A watermarble!!!! I don't feature many of these on my own blog because well.. The technique and I didn't always get along. Well with my recent success with [THIS] water marble I did for the lovely Kellie... Let's just say I've gotten cocky about my marbling "skills" lool.... Just kidding... But I really wanted to do one for my own readers. What better day to feature a marble than Pink Wednesday?! I may just go on a water marbling kick... 

What is a Pink Wednesday without some sparkle! This is the lovely INM Northern Lights Hologram top coat.

  For this water marble I started with a base of Cotton Candy, which I am holding in the picture above. Bettina polishes are the best I have tried for water marbling. They spread perfectly, they don't dry too fast or too slow and they are so pigmented that the color remains true even when marbling.

And here is a swatch of Cotton Candy. This is easily one of my very favorite Pinks. I know I say that a lot but this one is really special to me. I love everything about this color, especially the formula. This baby is an easy two coater and the color is perfectly opaque and smooth.

Orly Fowl Play

Hi loves!!

  Today I have a recent buy from a micro Ulta haul I did. I say micro because I only Three colors and of the Three, Two were Orly minis lol. Well while there I spotted the Birds of  Feather display and I saw this baby and I couldn't resist. Every other color bored me to tears but this one really stood out. The funny part is that I've been told/ read that even Fowl Play itself is a dupe of an O.P.I color. Anywho, it was new and interesting to me so I had to have it.

Fowl Play is the most interesting mix of sparkle and flakes. It really took me some time to "dissect" this polish to figure out what exactly was going on in it. What I gathered is that it is a Sparkly Plummy (slightly jelly like) base with with some Burple Sparkles and Red-Coppery flakies that shift to Green. The cool part about this polish is that when you wear it it looks like you layered Three different things to get the finished look. The formula on this color is a little thick but manageable. I used Three coats for this manicure.

I am beyond happy with this purchase and I cannot wait to wear it again. Colors like this one really make me happy because on a lazy day... This makes it look like you put A LOT of effort into your nails lol...

Muffin Monday!! China Glaze Sea Spray Gradient ♥

Happy Muffin Monday!

  Today I have yet another color that was long overdue for it's own post. Sea Spray came from their Spring Anchors Away Collection. I've worn it once... I should have worn it about a millions times before... Anyways, here is what I ended up with :). 

  So there is quite a bit going on for this mani. I started with a base of Two coats of Sea Spray. This, BTW, is an all China Glaze mani. After letting my base dry I sponged with Shower Together and then sponged the tips with White on White. After that was all done I went back and sponged just a bit of White Cap over the whole gradient to give the look some sparkle. For the sponging I used a piece of make up wedge. To finalize the look I used plate BM201 and Rodeo Fanatic for the stamp and one coat of Seche Vite.

  This is what the sponging looked like before I added the White Cap sponging. I really loved this look as well.

  And here is a swatch of Sea Spray. A beautiful, very soft Greyed-out Blue pearly creme... The shimmer is very soft and really only comes out in Sunlight. This color has a little bit of a tricky formula. It is very pigmented and a little sticky and thick. Not tooooo terrible but it does take a patient and steady hand.

Isn't this such a lovely color? I have to say this is one of my top picks from the Spring 2011 collections. I think it's a great color for any season and any skin tone. It's just so pretty!
